I got so caught up in the story chasing Taimi during the recalibration of waypoints instance after killing the big boss Audrey II that I just run straight out of the instance zone and got kicked lmao!!!!.

What is best gear wise for sword Mesmer mainly shatter but wanting raw damage is it assassin’s or beserker’s? just about to spend a lot on a ascened armor set so don’t want to make a massive mistake as cant get 2 sets

I have done this 4 times now (story and now doing achievements) and its the first time its done it to me but it seems the story has bugged out this time with no further action going to take place.

Same as Op think mine is slightly higher though about 110% but not noticed any better drops compared to the 30% or whatever it was we started at with the freebies given out

I like reading peoples idea’s on how they think the story is going to pan out, but I’m currently confused. Many people are saying the Pale Tree is at the centre of this cinematic (omadd’s machine) but how can that be when we was told about the Eternal Alchemy way back in GW1 even before the Pale Tree was born.

I know someone is going to tell me why, but would just like it explained as I’m not getting it

Was on Captains Airship after using a pass and noticed there was a daily activity npc so thought I would do my daily achievement activity round while I had easy access to it after leaving it did not take me back to airship and I was not finished there

No ideal situation but you could simply buy whatever stats you wanted and then just transmute the skin onto it

Probably been mentioned before but forum search is bad and google showing no results but maybe a good idea to show what “Dungeon Paths” we have completed as I done a lot of dungeons when game was released and now seeing 3/4 etc and don’t really fancy taking pot luck on a path to see 4/4 lol. my luck is bad also so would always end up being the last path I tried. I personally really like Cursed Shore, it’s like my 2nd home because I farmed there so much a long time ago. Kinda sad that you won’t see many people there any more, but hey, times change.

What will happen to my ascended equipment that I have spent laurel infusions on. Got 9 pieces on 1 character with infusions like mighty infusion to give me another +4 power etc and these things cost me 5 laurels each 9×5= 45 laurels wasted if they just get wiped.

Never went any higher than fractal 14 I think so never actually wanted agony resistance at the time before anyone asks.

Was just about to start a thread myself and come across this one but expected to be beaten to the punch anyway to be honest.

Delight!!! after my disappointed of the Nightmare trailer where the music had no Guild Wars feel to it at all, even to the point where I could not take the actual footage in cause the music was giving me the creeps this was a massive relief.

The Fractals trailer is "Mesmer"izing (see what I did there) honestly Im gonna watch this again and again. The music is back to a Guild Wars feel and the art and creativity of it all is nothing but a win.

Appreciate that the music had to be done on last trailer cause of the guitar theme but please just stick to what the game does best…. trailers like this.

Love you guys X. I cant actually think how anyone will come and give this any bad feedback so that should show you how good this is.

Well that’s your opinion mate!!

Ok fair enough some people might like Scarlett and some might like where the story is going but lets face it the majority has surely got to be the other way inclined. The characters I love in GW2 are Queen Jennah, Logon, Kasmeer, Brimstone, Delaqua and would love have the stories involve them more (yes I know Kasmeer and Delaqua are involved currently). I currently have not liked 1 villain not 1, Zhaitan was excellent but again the story let him down and so did the end fight, Pathetic. I feel for the love of this game that they have got to sit down and think more about the lore and give the PvE’ers what we want to see, More about the dragons , the cleansing of orr, a real assault on the queen and maybe kidnap, not some (as someone else perfectly put) Jar Jar Binks of GW. (Others can input other idea’s leave comments below)

Secondly

Anyone else get the feeling that we are being told how to play GW2?
- If I want to kill Shatterer more than once in a day and get decent reward why cant I? you let me on other characters!.
- If I want to farm nodes all day why have I got to wait 24hours for the nodes to reappear again?, you let me on other characters!.
- Great your bringing content out every 2 weeks and this is immense and can not thank you enough, but living story? it disappears again after a month as if it did not happen (most of the time) why cant they bring content in and leave it there for us to complete whenever we want to? If someone wanted to do the lost shores content now for example they should be aloud to do so. “Cause the world would become to big creating more unpopulated zones” Fix this then, create it so it runs side by side with the current world. How would an extra dungeon be any more damaging than the dungeons we already got? How would more Jumping puzzles be any more damaging than the ones we got? How would leaving the new Tower of nightmares where it is be any more damage than not having it, and last example how would still having queens gauntlet or SAB be any more damaging? So the champ trains would be smaller but more of them in different zones big whoop. (If there is a problem here please comment below)

Whatever you do please don’t change your routes. The music in the latest trailer is killing me, Don’t feel like Guild Wars at all and its destroying my soul (see what I did there Jeremy)

Just to let people know im doing ok with the achievements and not missed any Living Story content so I am not raging on my own experiences as if I am missing out.

Very little bit about me

I am without doubt a massive Guild Wars fan boy and have played since beginning of Guild Wars 1 with over +20k hours on Guild Wars 1 and coming up for 1500 hours on GW2 some of you might say “wow that’s a lot” or “well I have clocked more than that”, but trying to juggle work and relationship and now also have children since 2011 you can imagine I try to play as much as possible whenever I get a chance even if it means 10pm at night till 1am in morning and then get up for work at 7am etc.

The point of this post

The reason behind this post before I even start going on about things is how I love this game sooooo much that I want things to be better and It can be in my opinion
P.S I am a PvE player so this is all about that and not WvW or PvP

So is this a post about how your not enjoying the game?

Simple answer is no I am loving this game and find myself with things to do all the time and never feel like I am afk in Lions Arch for example thinking about what to do next.

So what is the problem then?

This is where this post is going to start getting a bit long winded but want to spread my love for this game here as I feel this is best place for it.

Firstly

In Guild Wars 1 there was so much detail to the lore that the story was kinda like being a part of a Hollywood blockbuster movie like Star Wars, all the characters you grow to love (Gwen, Mhenlo, Livia, Can go on and on and on) all the enemies you cant wait to slain again and again ( Shiro, Abbadon, Lich, Varesh etc), everything about the lore/story was connected and had purpose. Everything from day 1 release on GW1 was epic, The Searing was amazing, and the idea of having a Pre-Searing with a young Gwen and watching the nightmare for the Human race unfold before our eyes is excellent. As I said stories connected so even multi-campaigns later a much wiser older Gwen is revenging and slaying char and you got so involved in all these stories that in the end I was buzzing about watching a wedding between Gwen and Kieran Thackeray. This is just 1 example as all GW1 fans know there are many other epic storylines and even the small stories between hero’s that I simply cant go on and on

Thing is in GW2 the characters that I do love are not being evolved and the storylines are so all over the place that is leaves me thinking “Well hold on what about what was going on there” Its like we have now become a part of a bad horror movie that has so many flaws in it that once you have watched it you cant help but say “That could have been a good film”

I love staff on my Mesmer, always use it. I would go for it but still waiting for pre-cursor here unfortunately

I wish more people would buy gems with RL money to buy Legendary weapons so Anet could fund a Cantha expansion sooner.

Cantha is clearly a win, and they must do it, and everyone will love them long time.

Making a long story short. Legendary Weapons should be Account Bound and not on TP in first place. Pre-cursors on other hand should be and are ok

Mr Ruin just to let you know I have spent money on gems that would be more than enough to buy a Legendary Weapon so you would be wrong by saying I am sad and should not tell people how to spend their HARD earned money cause I do and are actually one of the worst for doing it but I defiantly would not buy a Legendary Weapon then parade around Lions arch claiming to have earned my in-game item just cause I decided to spend my money on a game out of my own choice. If I was to do this it would kill the game for me personally as I like to have direction and currently my direction is kitting out all my characters with Ascended items whilst waiting for the pre-cursor hunt then I can actually say I worked towards my Legendary item in-game exactly the way the game intended me to do so.

If your curious on what I am actually spending my gem to gold money on then, I am actually spending it on levelling chars quickly via crafting as i don’t have lots of gameplay time and only play for about 3 hours a day

I know exactly what your thinking….. “wait hold on a minute, so he saying he don’t agree with people buying a legendary weapon with RL money but its ok for him to spend RL money buying other things in-game therefore contradicting himself”, However that’s the point of my post that your not understanding, I am trying to say there is nothing “LEGENDARY” about a Legendary so really this is Guild Wars at fault and should not have been called one otherwise. I want to earn my Legendary as if there was no other way of earning it other than being legendary.

The wizards tower is actually part of the first quest ever made for GW1. so it is likely a lot older then 7 years.

The tower is and has always been a complete mystery. Personally I do hope that this mystery stays a mystery forever. Now it is exiting. using it for a dungeon/fractal/personal story/jumping puzzle/wold boss content whatever would be fun…….for 1 month…then the mystery is gone

I don’t disagree with what your saying, however its like telling someone who has been searching for the holy grail to stop searching for it.

I love the costumes and really want the Mad King one however I wont be buying as I would want it as a armor not just a town costume. If I could transmute the skin on to my armor wether it be light/medium/heavy then I would not even be thinking twice about it

The OP was saying he can not actually make it into the final room Constantine, Seems you have a slightly different problem. Just to make your aware that the reward from the chest after doing it first time round is currently 20 Empyreal Fragments once daily per account not character.

Its not a bug but feel your pain I had this same feeling last year happened to me 4 times on the trot but I realised it was how I was jumping

Don’t jump at to much of an angle face the same way as the final stairs do (with maybe a every so slight angle to the right if anything at all) soon as you see the window smash jump in. Will keep my eye on this post and see if your still having problems

When I first see this I thought HOLY MOLY finally we are going to get access to the Wizards Tower and find what Galrath and Verata was searching for all those years. Was kinda hoping for some epic new skills from the tower. Guys you can still make this happen!!!

I had the great pleasure of being involved in a victory on Gandara just now for beating Tequatl and I cant tell you all the buzz you feel when you finally beat this.

Had tried so many times and after all the waiting around to keep trying it was worth it. Rewards don’t even come into it, seriously just the buzz and watching the chat log light up with excitement was rewarding enough for me.

BIG SHOUT out to Ririxia for setting everything up so well and getting things in place
also big shout outs to commanders Trespolo and Enmel. Couldn’t have done it without them.
