. . . But when it does occur, I get chest pain and want to pull my hair out. I can lose 5 matches in a row and not get that upset. after 1300 matches, almost 300 this season, no much was fun. Got what I wanted out of it. Bouncing. . .
Just after one look that screenie is a lot longer than 2 seconds(each AA chain on Dagger is over 1.6 seconds long you ate 3 in that Screen shot) just saying it would be approx 5 secs and the fact you survived that damage and didn’t negate any of it since no broken AA chains and so on……..
Maybe be a little more accurate with the info might help your case.
Just under 2 seconds to down state = death vs teef. Rest was somehow multiple cleave until I died. I do not know how down state had that much HP. Yes, it does look misleading as if I was counter healing. I wouldn’t have melted as fast on guard. That would be the mitigations cancer said in someone else’s post.
I’m not 100% bitter about thieves. I’m not new to PvP and i have fought many glass cannon opponents. Just appears that not all classes can equally burst as such. In a walgreens world, all should be equal.
Most get out of silver by thief burst/cap carry.
There are classes. Then there is cancer. Not even chemo can vs this cancer. I am happy that I finished The Ascension and obtained the Ardent skins I wanted. Got the titles and rank desired. Other than that, I cannot stand burst dmg variation as such. This is NOT a common occurrence.

whats funny i rez’ed all the dead NPC’s, thats why they are alive since yesterday o.o
This expansion was more of a patch I’m beginning to think…
The players asked for an expansion, there never was one. You were all sold the living story 3, packaged and sold as “an expansion.”
Over 200 level 50 runs in a row I did before hot came out. Don’t regret not a single one, all fun in the sun.
Did level 50 now, I shall cease participation to a minimum to finish the backpiece. Dungeon and fractals veteran community killed. I cringe each time I have to drag myself to get research papers. No one speaks, no party prep, feels like a fair ride and I want off.
Why is this becoming a theme park mmo?

Just a side note about gold buying: What you write makes no sense at all. If anyone is willing to spend real money to get ingame gold, the “current gem to gold ratio” which you say has “doubled” works in his favor and not against him. Because now he gets twice as much gold if he buys gems from ArenaNet and exchanges them for gold, which is a perfectly legit and intended thing to do. So the gem to gold ratio in no way drives people to 3rd party sites.
Whoa, whoa, whoa… spending money for in game currency is an intended thing to do? Blasphemy! I assume you mean it is intended to deter people from going to 3rd party sites?
Do you realize, if you play the cards right as a developer, make it into a state of inflation such that it deems buying gems to save time inevitable. If there is that option 3rd party or not, there is something wrong with the in game economics. I don’t understand why people are ok with gems to gold. Gems for items is understood.
Devs probably understand that if you make rewards dismal, people will pay up to make up for it. Dirty tactics but clever nonetheless.
I’ll be honest and blunt to Arenanet. I paid $50 to play this game. I did not pay to test this game. I did not pay to sit down and report bugs for this game because I cannot progress. It is true that you can completely ignore my complaints and do whatever you want with the $50 I paid to you, the money is yours. But if you do that, you probably wont see the next $50 for the next bug-ridden content you release.
This sums it up to why I’m going back to console gaming. I spent enough money on a PC gaming build that could have bought; an Xbox one, ps4, games, and maybe a bigger TV. To my demise, I still can’t lock 60fps and controllers are more comfortable.
I stop myself now from making an i7 skylake z170 ddr4 m.2 GTX 980ti seahawk build, only to have spent triple to quadruple of console players to get inconsistent frames and tons of bugs. I forgave anet during the initial release of this game took 3 months to fully iron things out.
Not sure what you all are doing with the monies earned. Paid $75-150 of gems per year, $75 deluxe base game, and now $50 “expansion.” By no means am I a liability on your overhead. I financially support. As such, manage your funds correctly and invest into more preparations, debugging and design.
Get right, or get left. Customer since 2007, don’t fail me now. You make more money from happy loyal veterans, not “converters.” Dont expect casuals to buy your shinies in the gem store forever. They too will fade away as us loyal paying veterans.
I’ll give one more month to see improvements or I take my monies someplace else. No pressure as I believe in you all for 8 years now.
No sweat, lets make it happen.
It’s funny to watch people complain about imaginary points.
Thread is about the collection operating in a manner to grant a golden skin. It is an advertised and veteran-centric method to obtain them vs tier chest RNG. This thread is not about points.
Vacate yourself and such tones else where.
Doing all path coe was my favorite thing to do. Now people saying waste of time and no longer wish to go with me I’m forcing myself to participate in map metas like tarir, dragonstand, night time in hot starter zone. Roaming the map is a solo experience for me. Chasing after champions and map chain events seems like scheme to forget how long they been there.
Lol chill, this is a non game breaking bug. Why do’t you just write down on a piece of paper that you got the achievement.
I shall not chill either. Months ago was promised rewards for completing the collection. Now 2 weeks since it was suppose to be premièred it does not work.
The principal of the matter is intrinsically disappointing, hoping each day upon login that it was figured out. Yes, fractal achievements and skins are trivial and have no prestige of obtaining them.
I just look forward to what we were promised and as a pre-HoT fractal enthusiast. Paid monies, patiently waiting…. now patiently looking into other games that don’t take months to debug/empty promises and perpetual nerfing.

Walmart intrinsically competes by their sheer size capabilities.
I’m not discussing this with people who won’t read what I say. I never said Walmart isn’t competing. I said guilds aren’t competing. Walmart sells goods. Guilds sell nothing. They’re just gatherings of people of like minded interests. There’s nothing for guilds to compete over.
Its by example, relax. I only demonstrate by examples.
What guild doesn’t try/compete over tagless players? If they don’t and are smaller than 50, they are a glorified friendlist.
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

Paying straight up currency is easier than precious materials. If 30 active give 1 gold then boom something is covered.
Guilds don’t compete, players want something to be proud of, in turn, respond to advertising of recruitment (that presents a competing selling point of why they should join). Everyone in the mmorpg world knows what a guild hall is. If you say your hall is complete, that is competition. That would be the only reason to tell people you have it.

What’s the difference between a gold cost (from GW1, I distinctly seem to recall NPCs coming at a rather steep price) and a material cost? Both need you either fork them over yourself or have the guild perform donations.
Explain me this though: Why would big guilds be like Wal Mart killing off the smaller guilds? Guilds aren’t competing with eachother. O_o
Walmart intrinsically competes by their sheer size capabilities. Their purchasing power makes it more appealing than say, what Kmart could do. As such, people will maneuver slowly but surely to entities that have in going on. Based on envy and hunger to a part of and organization to be proud of.
Yes you can be proud of a 10 person guild that has no hall. Want more people into yours? Good luck because Walmart guilds are already advertising that they have a hall, meanwhile your mom and pop guild role plays in a public quaggan pond. Players do envy or submit to jealousy when something of theirs isn’t as shiny. Only thick skinned players will remain loyal to their smaller guilds.
Think about this in terms of jobs; would you work for a corner store where everyone knows everyone but no benefits, or work for a corporation that offers benefits and national location coverage? (added they have a nice lounge, aka guild hall. Corner store only has the back room or outside.
In guild wars 1, it was the equivalent of paying 25g to get a hall, and average 15-45g for each service inside. No materials needed.

Mega guilds will now become Walmart. Killing off any mom and pop guilds because the quantity of donation capacity. I too became tired of being nagged to put something in of which no one will remember I did.
Players months from now will never have to give anything and essentially enjoy all the work prior members made (new guildies into a full hall guild).
I miss the guild wars 1 halls, where, you can buy it yourself and give payment straight up for npcs. Not only was it simple and fun then, it was available for a long time to any guild size.
I hope this isn’t a method to force mega communities in fear that mom and pop guilds let people fall out. In my opinion, mega guilds are just to use and abuse for their benefits and abilities. No one cares who you are nor what you name is in a 300+ guild. Now it won’t be fun for smaller guilds that did care about you to lose members to Walmart guilds.

Just put plus 9s in all to get 143 AR than get the singularity for 5 more AR to reach 148, ask your team to give you some space, problem solved:D worked for me, don’t find any reason to spend another 200 gold just to get 5 AR the singularity gives

The Endless Fractal Tonic is still a lie. How to get it post expac?
6th day I wait for golden fractal skin as per collection
I was waiting for the 1st week to decide to buy it or not this expansion (I am a veteran). I think I’ll wait the rest of the month to decide, but riht now Im not very inclined to.
I didn’t want to be left out but I had the same mindset. I never forgot how many things had to be fixed and how long it took 3 years ago. About 2 months post release provided a good play experience of most bugs ironed out.
Don’t get it wrong that I expect a bug free product nor judge the time frames to fix it. I’m on the same bout of waited till probably late December for HoT and fractals to be fully functional by then.
My joy diminishes if I lose a day(s) in the ad infinitum process with the time gated journal pieces, in lieu of, crashes and mouse not working in game. What to do?
Since the recent patch a/o 10/27,
* 20 seconds after login, my mouse cursor disappears. I was told about the action camera toggle to bring it back as a possibility. This has not helped. Prior to patch, I have successfully used this new 2 week old mouse: Corsair Scimitar RGB, and never lost said cursor in game. [only in game it is lost. once I Alt+F4 out of guild wars, cursor is there]
* Same day, I am not able to enter fractals properly. The client closes out completely without crash. 3 times were attempted to join a party already in the lobby of fractals scale 13. 2 of the 3 attempts were with different parties. All of which sent me to the desktop with no client active.
* Already acknowledged but I confirm the fractal skin collection bug. It only recognized active skinned weapons, not prior unlocked non-skinned instances that make up the total in wardrobe.
Thank you Anet Dev team to review this as you have a big workload already.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Follow up
I checked and downloaded the latest drivers for Corsair Utility Engine now version 1.11.85. Kept the mouse unplugged for a minute and restarted the computer. The mouse is working fine out of game.
So not, it is just mouse cursor in game gone in 20 seconds still, and now client closes fully on my within 1-2 minutes if I activate map, do way points, enter instances, or randomly after holding the right click button.
-------------------------------------------
Fixed
Solution: EVGA Precision X 5.3.8 has known issues with guild wars 2 and the latest GTX 900 gpus.
Uninstalled it and now use MSi Afterburner. Mouse cursor has returned and no more crashing issues.

O.O
Ive started to see this too since the whole trait changes. Now there are honestly only good choices and bad ones.
When you go to your job, can you work like how you want? When you go to school, can you do what you want? As such, in gw we have been boxed into real life methods contrary to the fantasy escape world it is suppose to be.
The logic is high in this game especially for a long bow to shoot farther than a rifle...

>_< I like your thinking lol
Why do you not want to play the content?
. . . I don’t really get the idea of playing only for shinies and ignoring content . . .
About the extracted quote here, shinies is the only end game. Many did watch scenes in dungeon runs years ago or in personal storylines. Now instead of wandering around the beautiful maps, we instead parade through looking for champions or daily achievement.
By this logic, you can only enjoy the same runs so many times. I think people enjoy getting the shinies and role playing in towns compared to being in awe at the graphics/mechanics/plots.
Why do you not want to play the content?
That’s what I’m saying.
I don’t really get the idea of playing only for shinies and ignoring content that could be fun. Now not all content is fun, but kitten , some of this stuff should be. And, if none of it is why the hell do people play this game?
I didn’t hear anything about new maps, as such, it is mechanics and achievement heavy. I am convinced as per the living story AP style; that some of them will include challenges such as, don’t get burned by xyz or kill boss without npc dead, etch.
We (veteran runners) have played the same fractals since it came out. Where do you see content being added? Reactor map and mai trin had either annoyed people or they like it. Where is this alleged new content for fractals besides tinkering how it works?
According to the leaks, 20 per weapon.
Twenty? That means that to get the whole collection someone without any skins would have to get 380 pristines! That’s just outrageous. We should consider making it 5 pristines per skin to make it easier for everyone to get their skins. /s
Do you realize how it can be outrageous right now to get all weapons? Since. Fractals came out ive been striving for the weapons. RNG gods were only in my favor every 2-3 months sometimes to encounter a skin.
Lawd forbid people actually have to put in work to get something that was rare/barely droped.
Well the side of me that has the skins say, RAWR make it OVER 9000.
You are right in terms that I had to realize that people can now grind out an easy level, collect relics, then win. Therefore, 250 is my bid. The golem should be the SECONDARY method to getting them. Retain the original grind as primary.
Do rich people in real feel the same way? If more people got a Porsche or Ferrari, and you had one for a while; are you in the wrong for its lost rarity anger? Perhaps I would agree to both sides of this coin. I recall people discussing this about legendary weapons. Somehow, most don’t care when you have one. In fact people judge you when you don’t have one, AND when you have too many.
I already know that the fractal capacitor and entire weapon set will lose all prestige because of the new backpack and drop methods. I enjoyed the skins because no one could get it overnight like some magically do with legendary. Tp flippers made legends soft as well.
I bid the tonic for 1000 relics X_X
We have to terms that gw2 is becoming a theme park mmo
(edited by jessiejay.3625)
Well I suppose I understand now. Ties therefore not a good idea.
/insert pvp rant here
Good point about the pvp. I remember being inspired from GW1 /rank emote. Gladiator title was hard to get on top of the animal animations. So I thought to myself, wow, that is something of prestige I would like to work towards. Yes it was super hard to rank up but now that it is easier, I know people being carried upwards level 50 and beyond. No longer a distinguishing title/achievement to separate the baddies from the goodies.
/close rant
So as such, I fear everything is losing prestige.
Who am I kidding, I’m going to reinstall gw1, sit in pre-ascalon and ponder. When GW made sense and they constantly didn’t try to reinvent the wheel that hurt players in the process.
I believe the allowance of piggy back leveling is ok, granted you fully participate, have AR AND are not buying the boss map for 20g. My reasoning is that from levels 31-38 and 41-48; not a single soul joined my LFG post. As such, I obtained proper AR and participated within what I could handle.
As for "fun of getting levels", then pvp players should have not been given rank 80. Maybe they would have had "fun" ranking up like everyone else post boost. You can argue to say, well, they did hundreds of matches, therefore they earned it.
Well I did hundreds of max level runs, I’ve earned a grandfathered boost to max level.
Yes I get it may seem unfair that if this idea were to be true, veteran runners would cake walk into higher loots or not be interested in running anymore.
There is a response to that, some of us ran it once upon a time when a run could leave only with 70 silver in total loots. Yes it sucked but you know what? Veteran runners love that content, even knowing that an hour in silverwastes yields far more.
Veteran runners will still run most levels because its what they like to do. No unfair advantage there. If I did fractal 50 around 300+ times, it would tickle my fancy and not hurt my fractal love to get my personal level boosted.
I would like to progress as well but it makes me feel salty that it was at least 150maps plus bosses to get to 50.. Joe Shmoe who buys HoT soon will level; "0-100, real quick." They will do half the work of veteran frac runners.
When people did pvp back in the day and reached rank 50, they were boosted to max because of spvp revamp, aka; their hard work should be scaled in ratio as a result of easier rank gain adjustments.
So, correct me if I’m wrong, the new fractal system can level your personal reward level by doing 1 map/island/whatever?. What about all of us that did triple that work to get to 50? (I won’t bring up fractured reset).
Lets discuss the idea of all who are 50 now, get boosted to 100, as per easier level gain adjustments.
Just an idea.
Ain’t nobody got time for multiple alts...
/15chars
There is minimal utility of that elite skill anyways. Only time i found a use for it was in fractals; to toss some AoE on a boss encounter (some cases rez banner fails because of agony).
nope, this is a bad idea. why suggest such a terrible idea

so...i found this...
Bring back the solo que please. I have no friends to que with.
WTB solo que back. It was the only way I got fair fights. This whole ladder system gets me into games where I am beat 200-500. Not fun.
Some of you talk about pvp aspects or whatever. Dungeons and fractals are being overlooked how precision plays part in killing irrational enemies.
Do you want to add more time to complete dungeons?
Do you want to make GS war useless?
Trying to kill the PS war buff build that relies on critical hits?
Have you never tried omnomberry ghosts to steal 253hp to sustain in a high damage environment?
Nerf other things I dont care but this suggestion seems to not favor players at all.
Trolling much?
Tis very pretty. Post your color combo if you liked too
(Flame, White Gold, Shadow Red)
Dont suggest such a bad idea. Critical chance is fine the way it is.
There are enough nerfs in this game.
I support this cause for adjustments.
I get 1500 rank points per win and wiki says it too.
1500x+ 500x + 5(2)x = 1,111,500
2010x = 1,111,500
x = 552.98. . .
Approx 553 games to win, 553 lost, 1106 total.
If que+game avg is 11mins total, round up 203 hours.

The cake is a lie
The cake is NOT a lie…fractal weapons, however…
The Fractal Tonic however….
