I am a 3 kits Engineer build. If you need help with their combo and counter,Silv, I can help. The combo is as following:
1/The Enginner place confusion bomb as where he stand.
2/He use Magnetic pull to pull you to him, just in time the confusion bomb ignites, 5 stacks of confusion on you.
3/He smack you with Pry Bar while you close to him and down, give you another 5 stacks of confusion.The key here is to dodge the pull and you will be fine. How to dodge the pull? You found out yourself.
It can’t be done, confusion bomb detonates before you can pull him to yourself.
The 9 stacks of confusion are most likely to happen if you’re a ranger or mesmer because of the pistol #3.
Good job on showing that their matchmaking is kitten.

Fear is still instant so it doesn’t matter. Atleast now i can know whether i am being outplayed by Doom or Nightmare runes.
I’d be so happy to have more stuff to clutter the screen, i mean, double spirit ranger is obviously not enough.
We (I) need to see ratings so I can have faith in this randomness. Ratings are still invincible because they are extremely flawed. I HOPE this time I get to be proved wrong and I will definitely give it a go and wait for at least a week to see if there is actually something called matchmaking.
I think this is pretty important. They said they won’t show us ratings until they “work out the kinks” and what not but it’s been months and still nothing. Gotta ask on SOTG or something.

Anet has been trying it’s best to do exactly what OP is saying they should do, and all that’s contributed to the game is adding in a ridiculous amount of cheese to every class, because they had to improve these skills to match the already existing cheese in the game.
Turn on Show all Players, turn off Show all Enemy nameplates, your job is 100x easier. Sure, it’s crowded, but 2 things:
A. It’s a bit of L2P if you leave that many nameplates on.
B. Drop a few AOEs down, NONE of the pets are dodging, wipe them all out and you have 5 very useless players. You don’t need to target the MM to win, kill the pets in AOE, the rest is history. If they have Death Nova, do it from far away OR don’t be dumb and realize MM has almost 0 mobility, so if they’re zerging a point go somewhere else.
It’s not about anyone “l2p`ing”, it’s about ANet thinking that each profession needs 20 A.I. minions in a Player Vs Player game. Seriously, what the kitten were they thinking!?

Regarding decay – it’s working. I was at r300 when i stopped playing 1.5 months ago and now i am r600, so there’s that.
The developers answer just prove what is the situation— Necro in this game are the MINORITY!!! compare to other classes, 30% of player base in Gw2 are guardians 24% war and when ppl from that classes cry about necro and ask nerf for our class what u expect ???

I think it would be funnier if everyone rolled stun warriors.
They’d get rolled by Necros. You gotta land those stuns first, while necro is just running around, double-dodging randomly, because he doesn’t have to land anything to kill you.
lol bad warriors giving bad rep to the class, a necro can’t kill a decent stun lock warrior. right now warriors have lots of stability sources as well as they they have the most condi clears
More than that, all they need is to spam those stuns. You have more than the enemy can dodge. This means necros won’t have the time to kill you with conditions.

But that’s also a valid issue; guardians are forced into shouts to have good condition removal.
However, Guardians also have Ray of Judgement, Cleansing Flame, Signet of Resolve, Purging Flames, Contemplation of Purity, Smite Condition, Bow of Truth, and Purifying Ribbon (elite), all of which inherently remove conditions in some way, without needing to trait for it.Other classes are FORCED to trait for viable condition removal, and have no or not enough (viable) choices otherwise.
Warriors; Mending, Shake it Off, Signet of Stamina
Rangers; Healing Spring, Signet of Renewal, Empathic Bond
Engineers; Cleansing Burst, Drop Antidote, Elixir C, Toss Elixir C, Toss Elixir R
Thieves; Shadow Return; Hide in Shadows (specific conditions, but all damage), Shadow Step->Shadow Return, Signet of Agility
Elementalists; Healing Rain, Phoenix, Cleansing Wave, Magnetic Wave, Ether Renewal, Cleansing Fire, Signet of Water
Mesmer; Null Field, Power Cleanse
Necromancer; Putrid Mark, Deathly Swarm, Consume Conditions, Plague Signet, Well of PowerNotice how most of the choices are either not viable competitively because they aren’t good enough (I just named them all, I didn’t rate them), and how some classes have twice as much access to removal as others, even without traits? Condition
Pressure in this game has got to the point where it is so consistent and spammable, that most classes outside of traited Guardians and Elementalists can’t deal with the pressure. Trait wise: Warriors get pigeonholed, rangers get pigeonholed, elementalists get pigeonholed, engineers get pigeonholed, Mesmer doesn’t even have viable removal, and thief really doesn’t either unless they build a defensive perma-stealth build, which is more effective outside of node capture gameplay.
Necromancers and Guardians are the only classes that don’t necessarily get pigeonholed into traits if they want viable removal.
i.e. you shouldn’t cry about warrior condition removal because it is as good/bad as everyone (almost) else’s.

I meant exactly what I said, that classes have much better access to condition clearing than Warriors and Anet “fixed” it by creating a pseudo-mandatory trait 20 into defense. Which is not good practice.
Also I seriously don’t see why a GC mesmer is allowed to be insanely survivable while a warr is not?

We hear you guys loud and clear! We definitely plan on mitigating the leaver issue with a form of punishment. I wont give details about what the punishment will be, but it should be enough to deter this form of behavior. Anything we add will be in addition to what happens now (loss and rating hit).
but what about people with bad connection? I mean I have 2mbps connection and get disconnected sometime, sometime I can get back and win the match, sometimes I just lost and worst case scenario, cannot get back on the game.
as far as I know i’ve been winning tournaments and still I lose rank, is it because of the disconnection on mid match?
The dumb thing is that even if you DC at the last moment from a won match the system counts it as a lose.
And LOL that Anet can’t give any details about ANYTHING…..

Someone gave the suggestion to nerf blind duration to 2~ seconds which, i think, is appropriate since it encourages “skillshots” or something similar to that.
Is it really that much weaker since the patch? I.e. not activating on EA and several other things.
I don’t understand this whole blind thing. Before the patch everyone could auto-attack the air and clear the blind? Then such a change was needed, just how, a few months back, blind wouldn’t negate basilisk venom until that was fixed aswell.
Traits that build diversity should be something like “Fear does damage” not “hurr durr 20% skill recharge”. There are too many unimaginative/terrible traits.

And even if you ileap+mirror images, its quite obvious if you get immobilized. As soon as you let a mesmer into melee-range its your bad…
Yup, cause that is the only way mesmers shatter…. if the mesmer is close to you he can pop mirror images for instant burst damage

Nice! When, few months ago, That’s So Pish used to instagib one of your teammates from stealth at the beginning of each match it sounded like you guys had a big problem with it.
If there would be a counter it would be fine. Like in WvWvW there is a trap which reveals stealth-ed enemies or something.

And I guess that glyph of elemental powers will become instant now; with the buff to weakness this is more than good!

Ah and Arenanet: Whats the difference between a good and a bad player – MOVEMENT. With the new condition you punish good movement – GZ for implementing conditions which punish good positional play.
That doesn’t mean anything since everybody knew this change was coming. Also if i understand correctly it’s broken as kitten – getting Updraft every 5 seconds…. Everybody will just stay in Air attunement spamming Updraft.
BTW the condition punishes bad positional play if anything.

I do agree with the OP. Seeing Supcutie really shows the amount of useless dodges one can do. But it’s ok, he’s a mesmer, he’s not punished by that.

Binding blade (5) from guardian greatsword is undodgeable. (the actual pull not the sword flying towards you)
Agreed, spammable evades is as dumb as it can get. (thief, ranger)
There are plenty of effective 1v1 builds out there – just take a look at the results from trooper’s 1v1 tourney on the EU servers or the NMCC last week. Phantasm mesmers are by no means unbeatable 1v1 – these tournaments proved this.
Signet of illusion ban was pretty much the only reason why it was possible to beat them.
