I didn’t realise you were more important that everyone else. Please tell me who made you so important. Also if your “skilled” zerg needs that 5-10 extra people to beat their map zerg, which also has 5-10 people duelling, then i’m sorry but its time you stopped blaming everyone else and look at yourself and improve your mechanical skill levels.

The only a couple of counters to Stab at the moment, first is waiting for them to mess up their rotations or for random boon strip from necros or mesmers to strip stab.
Problem with boon strip is most organised guilds are running a boonshare mesmer or an aura ele in the melee parties and they can stack every single boon anyway. So you have to try and randomly strip that stability which is being guarded by Aegis, resistance, regen, prot, swift, might, fury, vigor, quickness and retal. Soooo yeah good luck with that.
In the old meta (when stab used to just be duration stacking) there was no resistance so you could soft CC with chills and immobs to stop their melee. but because of resistance stacking if you wanted to do that you need to strip the stab. Absorbtion strips resistance on interrupt as a priority boon but you can’t strip when they have stab. So you have no choice but to rely on the random strip from a well bomb or from a mesmer shatter.
See the problem?

The AoE cap is nice in a guild fight means players can no longer be rewarded from throwing a random CC in a random place and somehow getting profit from it. CC now needs to be slightly more organised so nice job on that one

Its basically just 10 mins of me pressing Air Overload… But I couldnt find any people who could live past that
But in all seriousness this was taken over a period of about a month and a half over the Christmas period. The build used is a mixup of a lot of gear but predominately Zerker and Wanderer. There is 0 Healing power used and there are no Celestial pieces.. because Fresh Air is damage.

You can Run Fresh air, overload air and then your crit from the overload will reset the CD on attune swap to Air after you leave it.
So you can overload Air, Leave Air the crit will happen, Then swap back into air

Do you not feel that being on a low pop server that the map may be far too big for your server to get fights or maybe go as far as killing solo/duo roamers?
Staff ele skills – Particularly Waster 3 ( Geyser ) are not coming up to the full size and are shrinking to the size that you would have without blasting staff pre patch
There were probably more fights and roamers in eotm this week, so I AFK’d near S SM and waited for someone to bow to me and we would duel. This was the whole week.
I think every roamer in our Matchup did the same thing, never seen so many people wanting to duel before, earlier today there was about 10-15 of us from each server just dueling.
Condi’s need a HUGE nerf in WvW situations. We don’t have 1million HP to cope with the insane bleeds, burns, torment, poison, confusion etc that can be applied before you can even hit a cleanse skill.
And even IF you manage to get a few cleansed, they’re instantly reapplied! Why don’t you just get us to stand still and do nothing while being killed, because that’s basically what I do as a Ranger these days.
Time your cleanse better or save it for a “worse” condition. Dont use your condi clear on a blind or something, save it for an immob a chill, confusion etc. The “harder” condis.
I can’t shoot my way out, everythings reflected back at me + retalliation + conditions. GG at this so-called “balance”.
Cancel rapid fire so you don’t reflect your arrows back. Retal doesn’t hit as hard as your making out so its not really a problem.
Once a condition is removed, you should be immune to conditions for 30seconds at least. And “piercing arrows” should cut through blocks and a percentage of Toughness! That’d balance Longbow dps in WvW.
No. Thats way way to long and would make a lot of builds completely unviable. Piercing arrows just means you hit more than 1 target, why should it be able to go through blocks/invulns and a % of toughness , and Longbow DPS is fine.
Too be fair this is mostly looking like “i died to a condi mesmer or necro and i’m here to complain about how OP they are and how weak i am”

Mesmers are strong but if you know their general rotation and when to dodge they’re pretty straightforward on what to do to deal with it
Eles are still stuck with water+arcana as pretty much mandatory. If they trait earth they will deal 0 dps so they are forced to either fire or air. And since air kinda sucks right now, the general consensus is fire water arcana for celestial builds at least.
It’s not the same for mesmer as other classes. Every class got a free trait line but mesmers got basically 2.
First the extra one all classes got and the second one because there is no need to trait illusions anymore.It’s like if thieves got sleight of hand, bountiful theft and thrill of the crime as class mechanics. Or eles got evasive arcana, elemental attunement and whatever vigor on crit is called as baseline. See the problem?

Arcana is a useless line and ill probably get shot down for saying that
Evasive arcana is a crutch trait and you are taking it for 1 decent trait in Evasive or elem Attunement
You could argue that Evasive helps with might stacking which it does, but if you take fire and then the trait where you have 1might stack avery single time you cast a skill in fire then it isnt a problem and can keep 25 might up pretty easy, while gaining a lot of other useful traits such as 10% dps incrase -33% cd reduction to fire and an auto condi clear on 3 condi’s +
Then you could say that you need the fury from attune switch, if you play D/D you take the Auras give Fury + swiftness for 5s, and then take either tempest for that extra fury stacking or just take Aeromancers training for that extra dps while in Air with BTH or FA.
And with those two lines only you have increased dps and kept might stacking up by dropping arcana. But you can keep survivability through either the earth or Water lines, water being better for team aura share. You could even drop either Fire or air for Earth and then do some prot spamming.
Ele’s need to drop the idea that Arcana is 100% needed all the time post patch

Also had this last night started off Okay, got laggier as the game went on and for the last 30s I was invulnerable had a trident in my hand couldn’t use any skills or virtues and my 1-5 skills were replaced with nothing Lol.
And it wasn’t me as i went straight into WvW after to check and I had no skill lag or Ping spikes sooooooo yeah…
When the servers can’t handle 10 man PvP games something has to be wrong…

It started lagging when there were 20~ people in OS and it was fine before that
If the arena in the guild halls is big enough for 15v15/20v20 you will rarely see GvG guilds in WvW as it will be so much easier to get a GvG / Scrim every day as you can invite players from other servers into your guild hall for a GvG.
Also those players doing the GvG/Scrim on the map are keeping other players busy that would be potentially steamrolling through the pug group and not letting you do the PPT
The best part of this Matchup so far was the part where I got to walk between Gunnars Keep and SM!
If AC’s get the heal venom they also get ‘repaired’

Many were wrong, then.
Do you have proof of that, or are you implying that your opinion is actually fact? If your going to make statements of fact, it is probably wise to add a supporting argument at the very least, facts are always better.
Stability was far from OP as there were so many ways to counter it – the most popular being stripping it off with wells or just choking the melee by training down the backline, or by the opponent having a poor stability rotation, which would eventually lead to them dying off.
Back to the OP – the AoE dps has always been a part of WvW as it is the best way of dealing out the most damage to the group. Most auto attack skills are cleaves hitting 3 people with the third swing hitting 5. And as someone said earlier, if they don’t lock you down in the dps you can just walk out of it. If you are locked into it, it’s time to cleanse that condi or get some stability. And if you are a Caster you shouldn’t be near that anyhow, unless your a necro dropping wells.

I avoided the question as it was irrelevant.I felt it realavent do to your statements in which you suggesting what a commander does or does not want. As well as what you do or do not want other groups to do. To make those claims, I felt your experience, or possibly lack there of, was relavent.

Could it not be possible to run a HGH engi in the leader party to give boons or clear conditions in a GvG situation to counter leader focus? or would a D/D Ele do this better with aura share and the protection stacking and water 5?

How does that counter leader focus, if all warriors and guards do is the exact same you just mentioned. (support wise of course.)

He was fighting in NC, lost his mates dead and he ran from the fight. Sounds like a coward to me.

This just goes to show that Anet don’t play WvW…They haven’t got a clue.

[Re] did not disband because of the stability changes, they had not factor in our disband. In fact we barely noticed the difference after moving about party set up’s.
The main reason we disbanded was said above.
We just don’t enjoy it anymore, as a pure and direct result of the pirate ship meta and the leader focus

Too be fair i don’t see what the fuss is all about.
On SFR with practically every map queued during prime time and on most days, and the same for Deso its not like you are missing anyone or losing out on numbers.
And if they wan’t to kill farm who actually cares? Its not hacking, game breaking, not affecting the TP, Nor is it ruining the gaming experience of others (too my knowledge) the most AP they get is like 10 (not 100% sure on real AP), and a title if they farmed it enough, and they can’t farm WXP because you don’t give WXP for a certain amount of time after you died, and lets be honest do people still care about their WvW rank?
If you don’t like that kill farm, and this is just a suggestion, don’t go to OS then! They won’t gank you if you want to go to the arena or to do the JP., cos they’re all too busy fighting in the mosh pit .

You must not throw away your burning speed like that. It’s really painful to watch.
For example 2:15, your blink is ready in 1 second and you use burning speed away from the opponent and then blink on him just for that tiny bit of damage without doing anything to follow it up. A complete waste of skills.

I’d be happy with just a leaderboard with the guilds on it. I’m fine with OS, the windmill and the middle island at south camp.

the Air elemental is still alright i guess for the stun and the fire for the small burst
Tornado is still a really strong elite – the amount of times i have killed a Focus party or messed up their stealth rotations making them sitting ducks is unreal! (18:35 http://youtu.be/Gyb9MjpCa3g?t=18m35s)
Also if you are full zerk you crit for 3-4k per bounce and it bounces 3 times and pulses every 2 or 3 seconds. And it knocks people about if they dont have stability (if they have been stripped of it by necros or others or are in the periphery) and forces people to mess up positioning if they don’t have stability
Edit: if you don’t want to use tornado use the Glyph its pretty strong since they allowed you to have more control over the elemental. Water gives chill fields and aoe heals and Earth is a walking tank with knock backs

There are 2 people fighting at far and one fighting at mid, one bunkering close and me running along the side, the 3 that are fighting couldn’t ping that much and the bunker wouldn’t be able to ping that many times on his own?
Also the others that said this happened are they lying also?

This has only happened twice, but when someone pings the map its stays there pinging for the rest of the game. You know the red dot thing that’s what i mean.
Its not someone sitting there spamming cos we are a guild team, and everyone was fighting somewhere on the map, so i doubt they could fight and ping at the same time lol

its only pay to win if you pay real money and since you can transfer for in game gold its not really pay to win.
Its like complaining your aren’t doing dps or living in a blob because you have rare gear instead of Exotic/ascended. your not paying to win, just using in game gold to get better gear.
I run Full zerker ele in Pug and guild raids and don’t have a problem surviving, even recently commanded while drunk on staff ele zerker and didn’t have a problem surviving. To go full Soldier armour though imo is overkill, i’d even go as far as saying 2.3k Armour is overkill.
Picking Apart the Metabattle build
As a staff ele you shouldn’t even be inside the melee train (unless being focused and to lose a thief) just position yourself to the side of the fight. So to go tanky makes literally no sense to me. Also the Aquamancer trait – again seems pointless to me… unless there are like 2 eles in your pug group, then run it to make up for lost waters but to me this seems highly unlikely. Soothing disruption is a better choice for a build where all utilities are cantrips, which helps survivability making up for lost toughness
Sigil of bloodlust on an ele to me again – is a wasted sigil. you can keep yourself up at 20~ stacks of might pretty easily as an ele, although you get an extra 250 power from it, if you dont down, which is a bonus. But you can go more zerker to just have those (more or less) there permanently
With regards to the -40% condi food, if you are running soothing disruption it gives cantrips regen, and with cleansing water you cure condis when you get regen , so you can cure 1 condi per cantrip because they all give regen. So with regards to that i’d run Dragons bun for blob fights and Seaweed for GvG/Scrims.
Elite is just down to preference, I still run tornado too spread downed people apart and make banners less effective.

There are some commanders on Blacktide and my old server that used to pay scouts for sitting in a tower while they commanded. They would pay 10g for the time while they commanded, plus they got a lot of loot from the commander coming with a blob and steamrolling them.
