it didnt effect ANY real gameplay.
it was only alot of fun and it felt much more creative when dancing with 2 moves at the same time.

So why not instanced? If the reason you want to have dueling is to test builds and duel with your friends/guild members what’s wrong with going to an instanced area to do it? You can mash keys and garbage talk each other until your eyes bleed. Why do you need to duel them in the open world? After all to duel your friends/guild members you will still need to meet them someplace. What’s the difference between going to meet them in an instanced area or going to meet them some place else?

thats not a very solid argument IMO

some of the best moments i ever had in this game is when i encounter someone in WvW that just want to fight some duels. (almost never happens)

so why not have a duelling option for PvE?
it would bring so much more to the community, like betting and unofficial tournaments.

And with an auto decline option there is no problem with the few people that will use this feature to mess with people.

yes since they show it on our character when we create them.
and some of the nps that we interact with in the story also have them.
so its just plain wrong that they are not avalible since the reason i made a ranger was because it looked so cool with the stalwarts set when i created him.
but! since it was “false advertising” on how you could make your character look.

that is why i feel like they owe it to us all.

Spvp arenalike matches are tragic because the majority of players want to play with their “real characters” full equiped, i want to duel with my characters that i spend hours of gameplay to progress, i want to duel friends and guildmates even testing attacks etc.

As long as dueling (and GvG) missing from this game WvW will turn garbage day by day with people trying to find a corner in a map to duel random people getting ganked by others that happend passing by and be frustrating cause you have to do 50 other things and waste time searching for a duel instead of clicking a button like in every other game.

and the thing that really kitten es me of is that : when i create a character (sylvari ranger) the preset have stalwarts shoulders… wtf!? thats why i even made one! and after a looooooooooooooooooooong while of trying to find out how to get the set, i was told thakittens for pvp only!

Scavenger hunt is probably going to have it’s own achievement panel, it’s not going to be drop X items and Y items into the mystic forge and baam, a precursor, if it’s not an achievement thing then we’ll be seeing a lot of precursors in the first day, by achievement panel I mean you have to do stuff and it records the stuff you do, for example, complete all dungeon explorable, do 100 fractals, kill 5000 people in wvw, kill 2000 people in spvp, complete 1000 event, and maybe they’ll make it so that there is more achievements than needed thus providing a variety of ways to get precursor, like do 10 of the 15 achievements mentioned… and you’ll get a precursor ticket

Tried it for the first time today. Hated it. This is not PVP. This is pure abuse simple as that. When you have groups basically camping specific choke points like the well and such, there is nothing you can do. They just AOE everything and there is nothing you can do to stop it.
If you are dueling there fine, but to grief, and yes it is griefing, those that do not fight back and just want to complete the puzzle and get out.
It would not be as much of an issue if the puzzle was build better for this, but it simply is build for those that want to gank and grief.
I like WvW but this is totally kitten.
