This is a MacBook running Windows and GW2 Windows client.
The problem is that under this setup, the mouse behavior is wrong:
Clicking down and moving the mouse changes the way you’re looking as expected, and WSAD to move, however it only changes where you LOOK, so when you go forward it doesn’t go the way you’re moving the camera to look.
This issue is with MacBook running Windows. Plugging in mouse works fine, it’s the trackpad that has this problem.
Myself and my brother and roommate all have MacBooks running windows and find this problem frustrating. It makes doing the daily on the go near impossible.
Please fix this and help us – and all MacBook owners – out.

Saving and loading builds when out of combat?
There is no way to quickly do this with the new system.
Save and load builds like GW1.
Even assign equipment to builds you save and load.
Will this happen? That’s my question..
SAVE and LOAD builds?
So I have double the items I need in my bank.
They are the same exact item, however don’t stack.
The issue is there are items that are ‘Account Bound’ vs. ones that are ‘Account Bound on Acquire’
The thing is, they are the EXACT same item, and those in the bank that are ‘Account Bound on Acquire’ when I move to my inventory, they don’t change to ‘Account Bound’
List of items with this behavior:
- Bank Access Expresses
- Merchant Expresses
- Trading Post Expresses
- Instant Repair Canisters
- Revive Orbs
- Tomes of Knowledge
SUMMARY: Need to fix the bug where ‘Account Bound’ items don’t stack with ‘Account Bound on Acquire’ by making it so moving items from bank into inventory kicks off whatever code triggers making ‘Account Bound on Acquire’ change to simply ‘Account Bound.’ This would then fix all items with this issue.
Got my GF the game when it was on sale, she likes it and runs at everything lowest settings, now after patch hates it..

You have most of the player base not liking fractals due to difficulty. But that’s still there and pretty good.
You have most of the player base that tried Super Adventure Box complained about Tribulation mode. Still pretty good.
Player base usually is committed to WvW, PvE, or PvP in my experience. I know people in-game that grind one of those three. I’m more a PvE player as stated before but find nothing.. challenging.
Nothing is hard about getting Underworld or Domain of Anguish in the game. Just has to be done. Lore-wise, you still have the Underworld, Grenth and Dhuum, you have the Domain of Anguish it didn’t go anywhere these are cornerstones of the GuildWars universe.
Maps that have been created, do some goals and other areas of the map unlock. Nothing too crazy, but since this is far into the future from the original GuildWars and the Gods haven’t been heard from in a while.. lots of grounds to redesign these areas for sure.. but since they’ve existed for countless ages I’d expect just like GW1 → GW2 saw the world maps change but still had the main features (shiverpeaks, lions arch, crystal desert, etc) intact.
Not everyone is in this forum, but I know from how many ‘GWAMM’ tags I see that there is a huge fanbase of the original.. including Underworld and DoA just waiting for the return of something challenging to attempt over a few hours.
Played GW1 for years upon years with friends.. and the reason was that both Underworld and the Domain of Anguish were the best end-game challenges of any game out there.
PLEASE
For the love of all that is holy..
Nothing is challenging like those maps. Nothing is more rewarding than killing Mallyx or Dhuum at the end of HOURS of being awesome and on the verge of actually party-wiping (the MAIN reason the content is rewarding/challenging/FUN).
My GW1 buddies took on fractals with me.. fun, but you can’t party-wipe and it’s not a huge zone to explore and endure though to get some great loot and the most rewarding two chests in the entire game!
1. Have the guy that designs the Super Adventure Box go to town on it
2. I don’t care if the maps are copied from GW1, we’ll love it still
3. PARTY WIPE.
GW2 is great since you can go down, then fully downed state and still be ressed up by anyone left alive. That’s ALL there needs to be.
PLEASE BRING UNDERWORLD OR DOMAIN OF ANGUISH WITH THE EXPANSION
Me and the hardcore crowd are looking for true end-game content not present in GW2 that was a STAPLE of GW1 and had us playing it for years.
Dungeons are great, fractals are ok, but we need one of these things. Bring the other in a future expansion but as someone that brought up multiple 80’s in the months at launch and took on multiple personal storylines, map completions, ran countless dungeons.. I really can’t wait until there is challenging content to rampage through.. fail.. try again.. something to REALLY bring the top folks that were done only months after launch to gather together and spend a weekend doing maybe two or three runs taking HOURS each try on the edge of our seats with a couple failures.

ArenaNet likes to pull from past ideas with the Revenant looking to pull from the Ritualist.
From what I see, the Mesmer specialization with shield pulls from the old GuildWars 1 cancelled expansion ‘Utopia’ pulling in some of the Chronomancer skills.
The whole expansion begs to have the themes from Utopia brought in.

I’m seriously wondering if Living Story Season 2 will keep the two week release cycle.
I loved the multiple storyline steps in this first release, but finished solo while waiting for friends faster than a few steps of the main storyline. It was really short!
Will releases be every two weeks like promised before?

Fractal 33: Outflanked is my favorite Mistlock Instability (and I think it should be introduced in the open world/WvW/PvP in a lesser form)
HOWEVER there is a problem!
Rare chance you’re on Fractal 33 and roll the Volcanic Fractal, the summoned grubs at 75/50/25 are out of control.
All other fractals are fine, but that one is seriously a problem.. not skill wise on players easily handling that one and other fractals even at higher levels, but deserves a look.

Transparent window FRAMES are nice, but not behind text you need to read. Gems on the opposing side of that window have a dark non-transparent background..
Text should not be on transparencies in this game.
I recommended this months ago, however it was in the old archived ‘suggestions’ forum, but I think it deserves some thought..
I enjoy the feeling of progression and increasing challenge of fractals, and would like to see that brought over to dungeons to make runs more interesting.
Add levels to dungeon runs like fractals.
Levels are per path, and selected once you select a path.
Increase level like fractals by completing the path.
At levels 10+ agony is introduced like fractals.
30+ you get global challenges like fractals but specific to the dungeon and making things interesting.
This would bring a feeling of progression to dungeons, and provide more challenges, more rewards, and be a blast.
Thus, I think we can agree account wide crafting: NO
However, why don’t all characters have ALL crafting disciplines?
No reason they can’t. They eliminated the fee to repair armor but for some reason my character needs to pay money to ‘remember’ he was a master weaponsmith?
Makes zero sense.
With lots of characters, there is a problem on the char select screen that can be solved by enabling the mousewheel to scroll left or right in the list.
Make a test account, add maximum number of characters, and you’ll see what I mean.

Every day doing boss fights I’ve noticed this -
Basically with a large zerg there (20+) only a VERY few mobs still spawn like it hasn’t scaled up.
This could be bugged because people are not standing in the blue circle ‘defend’ spot is my guess. No one is in that circle so it doesn’t scale properly, everyone is far off to the sides just waiting for the timer to drop..
Thus, when mobs do spawn, it’s just one at a time, every 10-15 seconds and die instantly thus many don’t get credit for the event.
Mobs should spawn in groups, just like normal events when I’m soloing! This is a group event and less mobs spawn with a zerg of 20+ then when I’m doing a normal event in the world by myself..
In addition, spawn a champ or two in there when lots of people are in the room! I think again the bug is that it doesn’t detect people outside the ring..
Something needs to be done.
Boss Blitz in the Queen’s Pavilion is an AMAZING example of what bosses in GW2 can/SHOULD be like.
Each boss with various abilities and things the zerg needs to do blows away EVERY world boss (fight alone, not counting the prereq).
Think of the Boss Blitz and simply update world bosses with the same type features!
Covington Keep
Pre is a GREAT event, but when Taidha Covington comes out, the zerg literally blasts away AFK managing inventory not doing anything..
Simply giving her the Boom Boom and Wiggin abilities makes this fight AWESOME. It’s so simple and already programmed into the game.. the zone alone already has pirates on cannons thus it just makes sense! (also fix her death bug please)
Megadestroyer
Give it the abilities of Pyroxis or even new ones.. again people just blast it from the lava shore.
Dungeon Bosses
Apply same logic.
I could go on and on, but it’s simple to make world bosses and dungeon bosses amazing because Boss Blitz is amazing.. so I know you have the imagination and technology..
Can we please eliminate the ability for zergs to just sit there not doing anything but have their ranged weapon auto-firing skill #1? Too many are like this..

TL;DR – Give world bosses and dungeon bosses Boss Blitz style fun.
When the game first came out (pre-fractals, etc.) Dungeons were the endgame content.
You’d want exotic gear, but it was the early days (first few weeks of launch) so you’d do this “endgame” content and felt pretty good because it was working to craft (essentially) your endgame armor with sweet skins.
Now exotic armor is elsewhere, ascended armor exists making exotic lower-tier non-endgame, and the dungeon tokens are for – skins.
Ascended Armor
I’m just saying that it would be nice to have ascended versions of the armor available from the dungeon vendors. Put a sweet effect on top of the existing skins or leave it the same, jack the price up to 1,000 tokens a piece or something.
GW2 is striving to be “do whatever you want” so for those that want dungeons over and over.. it’s a way to get ascended.
Just one possibility to make this more relevant.
Legendary Armor
When it happens, it would be nice to include big dungeon token items in the crafting of these armor sets.. I assume sets like a ‘Legendary Armor Box’ because crafting legendary armor one piece at a time would lead to mix and match nonsense. Who knows tho.
I’m just trying to imagine dungeons more relevant leading into the future.
Lore-wise, the Skritt can never be a playable race.

Now Skritt as a playable race sounds impossible since they get smarter with more of them around, and are pretty stupid solo..

Basically a cluster of three that mingle together and act as one unit.
Would give the Asura a run for their cute animation money.
Armor:
Same as Asura, all three are outfitted – fits the small cute models just like Asura. No issues.
Weapons:
Single weapon like greatsword carried by all three – one holding the handle, two others carrying the blade around
Multi-hand weapons like axe and warhorn – one skritt has the horn, one the axe, and one just running around with them doing funny animations when actions are taken as the “empty handed one.”
When the horn is blown, the animation has the one holding the horn blowing it, the ‘main hand’ skritt stands there looking around in a Skritt like manner, and the empty handed one covers his/her ears and shakes.
Racial skills:
Any number of things involving junk/shiny things.
Pulling out a shiny orb blinding nearby foes is just a quick example.
Elite calling a swarm of more skritt to appear – digging up from underground with picks and mining gear – then the speech of the voice actor(s) for new elite skills 1-5 are intelligent sounding – “Take THAT you lumbering clod!” stealing asuran style, but you get the idea.
Many more ideas, but I thought I’d point out that even with the GW lore, Skritt can actually work.
The content in the Cliffs last year was all very specifically designed to support the story of the election that was happening between Ellen Kiel and Evon Gnashblade. It really wouldn’t have made sense to keep the map open without turning much of that content off, and that would have left the area feeling very empty and lifeless. There are other reasons beyond this, but for maps like this, which are based around a festival or a special event like the election, it just couldn’t have worked to keep it open year round. It’s only a few more days until you all get to play in the map again. I can’t read into the future, but we love the gameplay and the bizaare atmosphere of the bazaar, so I believe it will continue to be a setting we can return to when it fits with the story we’re trying to tell. :-)
When thinking about future content I don’t think it should be designed to ever go away, the cliffs are interesting just like bandit camps and other locations specific to personal storyline missions are interesting.. many of those personal storyline camps and areas in the open world are great to look around, and just a few POI, diving goggles, etc. make any zone expand the world permanently rather than just temporarily.
Think beyond the cliffs and into all maps that will be introduced in season 2
I’m confused on two things:
1. Why isn’t crafting account bound like we’ve done with magic find and ascended items? Next logical step, zero reason to log in and out to get the right character to a crafting station since we also have shared bank storage fueling all characters as well.
2. Why aren’t all crafting disciplines enabled for characters? Limitation to just two is also pointless with everything going account bound in all these updates.
Thus, just make it so all characters can have all crafting disciplines and crafting levels are account bound.
Why not?
When this new content (re)releases, it brings a new zone, and future updates bring new zones. However when the festival ends, I imagine the Zephyrites leave but that just takes away the decorations and ships.. the zone can stay.
I say this because the better mindset would be to always keep zones introduced this season and add POI and other things to have fun with once the map ‘ends’ without fully eliminating the content.
Both the Felblade and Centurian’s Claw from Hall of Monuments have default artwork still on the icon for the weapon (default icon black background like white items and items without graphics). This is since launch over a year ago and still not updated.
You put the skin on a nice exotic with a real icon and it drops it to what looks like a white item without a skin in your inventory.
Some Hall of Monument weapons etc. have gotten icons updated over the past year, but these remain ones to fix.
It’s an easy fix.

This update was all about infusions with ascended items but you can’t infuse accessories or amulets?
Can we show the actual fractal level of others or limit it so they can’t use the LFG for fractal levels above them just like dungeon LFG doesn’t let you use it for dungeons above your level?
Right now, you can only infuse rings and back items for the +5 agony inherent which is about to become just an agony slot on the item.
Are we about to see the ability for ALL ascended gear to be infused with this update?
I’d want to for sure make sure to have the ascended amulet and ascended trinkets able to infuse.
Been waiting for this, and want to make sure just like rings and back items, ALL ascended gear is getting this ability with the change?
I’ve been for weeks struggling with this issue, it’s hard readability and I think it’s a usability bug/issue.
What is happening is the bottom border of the inventory window is too transparent behind the gold and makes readability extremely difficult.
I find myself constantly squinting or moving the window around and it’s just not a good design, needs to be made more opaque or some other visual change so you can read it better.
I have good eyesight, but I’m sure there are some that can’t see this even at all. For me it’s difficult, and it shouldn’t be to read it.
It also helps people that can only play on weekends (those with jobs, etc.) a way to catch up to players that play all week which is one of the reasons they implemented that to GW1.
Weekend bonuses should happen, and each choice push players to underused content the devs see not many players are experiencing.
Increase to 1k would be perfect. The wallet made unlimited collections of dungeon tokens and other things clogging the bank, but the collection tab is still a source of frustration. Increase to 1k would be simple and effective.
Just did another fractal 28 daily.
In the group was a player dying constantly and holding us back. We struggled to keep them up, but it turned out they were level 8..
Why does the LFG tool not limit the usage of the fractal tiers to players IN those level tiers? If you want to attempt a 28 fractal with your friends that’s fine, but the LFG tool shouldn’t let you join up a tier far above you.
This suggestion fixes that: Don’t let the LFG tool for fractals allow you to join the tiers above your personal level. Just like the dungeons.
In addition still need a way to view or limit in your party search people that have AR under a certain level. I’m AR40 and when someone has.. zero.. as many players do, it’s just frustrating for the entire group ruining the simple and fun experience of fractals.
It’s the functionality of all other minimap icons, someone implementing this new one didn’t link it to the same functionality.
It should have the same functionality, and the devs should fix it as well as keep this in mind for future updates that add map icons.
Still has a huge effect on people going to maps and looking around for spore events.. they can currently NOT see them appear by glancing at their minimap which is unfortunate. Should be simple for casual players to notice as well as those looking for various reasons (like completing the title of doing one on each map).
It’s a good and simple fix.
It’s been 8 months and still can’t infuse amulets. What gives?
Amulets are ascended just like rings and should be able to be infused just like rings.
Not having this ability makes no sense.
In addition the ascended accessories? Same thing. Should be able to be infused.
Why wouldn’t they be able to?
Current ascended items you can infuse:
1. Back
2. Left ring
3. Right ring
Current ascended items you can NOT infuse:
1. Amulet
2. Left accessory
3. Right accessory
This is a simple update.
I would believe that however they were talking to each other. Seems either a bug, or something they needed to work on. Missing this felt unfinished and beta which wasn’t right.
There are more than 24 locations. You stating that shows you just used Dulfy’s guide. There are more than 24, you just NEED 24.
Commander updates worthy of the WvW segment of one of the two week releases coming up and simple to implement.
1. New squad chat.
Currently we have map chat for WvW/PvP/PvE and also team chat (darker red) however upon joining a commander tag, there should be a special new colored chat type for these squads.
Suggestion: Brighter yellow (than guild chat) text for squad chat with commander’s own messages bold. Simple and effective.
2. Abillity for commander to spawn middle text messages.
Currently these messages appear for players in the middle of the screen for things like Scarlet invasions and other reasons, however commanders should have this ability for their squads.
/squadwarning or some other trigger easily usable by the commanders for their squad. Simple and effective.
3. Ability for commanders to expand on the symbols they place on the map.
Currently commanders can place symbols on the map, but they are not used very well.
We can expand the symbol functionality by making it so those in his squad see the symbols on the sidebar like an EVENT and thus they snap on the corners of the minimap when outside the range of them, and hovering them on the sidebar does the nice event style highlighting.
Adding to this functionality in another future release would be the ability for the commander to click on the created ‘events’ he placed (by merely adding a symbol to the map) and give it a title and/or description.
Simple and effective. v1.0 of this one expands the symbol functionality and v2.0 makes it so you can title/description them.
4. Voice chat for squads.
This is a serious update, but can be added easily a few ways.
Suggestion:
Implementation: The simplest way would be to not have ANET provided VoIP, but instead utilizing the SDK of other VoIP solutions and plugging into them. For example, in GW2 settings, there would be the server/password for a TS server using the TS SDK and anyone in your squad when you’re a commander automatically connects up to YOUR server you specified in your GW2 settings and instantly you have the best experience for communication yet.
This can be done in such a quick timeframe, I don’t know why it hasn’t already. I’ve played with it and it’s simple:

Again SIMPLE to implement, but powerful and the most significant change to WvW, PvP, and PvE dungeons/fractals.
We’re talking about people popping their commander tag in dungeon groups and giving their party access to their TS and communicating in dungeons, fractals, general PvE like the Tower of Nightmares map..
Just an SDK implementation and simple settings panel in GW2 where you set a server/password and when you’re a commander and people join on your squad it connects you all up. Commander functionality. Literally takes most application and game developers a day to implement and test because it’s just an SDK and not ANET developing their own VoIP solution.
Solves many issues including spies from servers in WvW asking for the TS channel and cheating by listening to what’s going on.
SUMMARY:
1. New squad chat.
2. Abillity for commander to spawn middle text messages.
3. Ability for commanders to expand on the symbols they place on the map.
4. Voice chat for squads.
All of these features can be worked on and implemented quickly, nothing is new coding and is based on existing GW2 features. Source: I’m a programmer and understand reusing existing features for other uses.
Please make these things happen.
Do the champ train on any of the maps (like Queensdale) and you’ll have this achievement.
Or just play the game as normal for about a week and you’ll have it.
World boss kills like Maw and others credit at times too.
The Obelisk hunt was far better than the dragon clues with the addition of an icon to make it visible. Good job.
Let’s please improve this by either taking the icon AWAY when you have successfully transcribed the obelisk, or changing the icon putting a slash through it or changing the color.
Making the icon show you’ve already gotten that one makes it even better to track these things.
With so many across so many zones after playing for a week, a visual representation like this will help a LOT. Especially for casual players.
Keep this in mind for future releases as well.
There needs to be more sounds for various effects that are shouted out.
When I play this game, all everyone around me hears are these phrases shouted out continuously for the past year playing this game:
“I feel six feet tall!”
“Urge to kill rising!”
“Eat my dust!”
PLEASE record a few more sounds for these and all other effects to randomly play. It’s been a year of hearing these things over and over.. if you want to make the game FEEL different, you’re going to need to make small changes to the core of how we experience it.
This is quite possibly the single biggest way to make the game feel ‘fresh’ after a year. Every zone, groups of people, doesn’t matter the content.. these phrases are uttered FAR too often.
Please spice it up. This is a simple fix.
Excited about this release and enjoyed the single player story mode entrance into the zone, however there was some serious mouth sync issues and even in parts I think the NPC mouths weren’t even scripted to move at all? Disappointing. Doubt this will be fixed, but hoping it can be looked into and not overlooked for future releases.
On the minimap, the orange swords, gears, and other event icons appear along the edge when they spawn so you know something is nearby.
The new update added spores, and you have to clear one per map, but you can’t just play and glance at the minimap because the orange icon doesn’t appear along the edge like the others.
This should be fixed so you don’t need to look at the full ‘m’ map and can play just glancing at the minimap along the edge like you do with swords, gears, etc.
Doing daily fractals you end up with tons of ascended rings.
Suggestion: At least make it so you can salvage them for dark matter.
New update came out, went to Frozen Maw boss, he was almost dead and I noticed that the boss had the new icon debuff like he was corrupt, mouse over the debuff and game crashed. Now every time I log in with that char, game crashes.
Commanders are players in the community that are not new, have decided to become leaders and help others in WvW and PvE guilding people in champ runs and other content, and are perfect candidates for this suggested feature:
Enabling commanders to kick people off WvW siege and PvE turrets.
It’s what a commander would do. Commanders are leaders, helpful, experienced, and know what they’re doing when it comes to GW2.
This would help in WvW and Tequatl fights amongst other things.
Commanders in WvW lead people around, lead groups and zergs, inform players when to drop siege, they are in command and should have this ability to help even more.
Commanders in Tequatl fights are experienced players, know what they are doing, and can help a lot more by manning those when new players are on them, or AFK helping everyone.
Tequatl is hard, but new players on turrets makes it literally impossible.
Spamming, “Everyone on turrets hit #2 when available please!” isn’t working.
Commanders are players in the community that are not new, have decided to become leaders and help others in WvW and PvE guilding people in champ runs and other content, and are perfect candidates for this suggested feature:

Just did 28 daily with a group. Didn’t notice till a bit in they were getting one shot while Agony didn’t affect the rest of us at ALL. Asked and they had none.. none?
Later at the boss, turns out the guy was only fractal level 2.
Look.. this guy was being honest, but some people lie, and going thru a 20+ fractal with a BRAND new player to the content is fine if they’re your friend but ruins it for the rest just aiming to get a daily.
Let’s show the AR and personal level of the people in your party.
For the love of Balthazar. Please. I speak on behalf of frustrated groups because I want the community to be loving towards others and not lash out. Let’s fix this.
In GW1 when you drank a lot you would start randomly sitting, saying random things, and in extreme cases puke.
I think these fun touches should be added to GW2.
My ascended rings can be infused in the mystic forge for +5 agony, and the suggestion is that the ascended amulets should be able to be infused just like the rings and back item.
When you get to the part to ‘choose’ there appears only one option. It isn’t clear and I quit and checked online and found I’m not the only one confused by this setup:
This is another person looking for the 2nd option.. it’s not clear and should be fixed to avoid confusion.
