There are soo many posts like this, go back to the farming boss killing mmo you came from, this aint how the majority of players want the game to become.
And there way more ppl playing than whining in the forums. Find another to get ya greedy mits on gold /rant off.

Why would you want to go to starter areas at lvl 80? Unless completing map or helping ppl. Sounds to me like you just wanna farm stuff from bosses, well this ain’t wow so get off your high horse burgers and deal with it!
Heart of the mysts, lions arch, wp to gate hub, run to portal of race city. It’s a great way of reducing coin when travelling from one side of the map to the over.
I like the game as it is also, sure there will always be some areas that could use tweaking, but you can’t please everyone, and don’t forget though they may be alot of ppl whining in the forums, the people who like the game are playing it and are far bigger numbers.
A good step forward, should reduce the prices too, since the demand will be less.
I prefer the downscale, it allows me to level on whatever area I like, and still get xp for it.
It’s not always about level 80, this is more for people who want to level in another area.
Plus this stops farming of bosses which people would do. Champions are meant to be done with others, not solo, there not to be farmed by level 80s.
It seems more of a choice in style, I don’t think it’s game breaking, I.e. the game does not break because of this artist choice.
Yea you make them soulbound when adding sigils, so…don’t? :-p

The reason ur level matches the level of monsters is so that you can gain XP through kills, in other mmos XP can’t be gained from NPCs that are greyed. In a way this is better because it gives you more options of where to level. Sounds to me you just wanna kill champions or certain bosses solo so you can get to the chest. That’s not how this game works, get used to it.
For one, games gotta meet casual or hardcore gamers somewhere in the middle! So not everyone’s gonna wanna have to make multiple sets of armour, plus where you gonna store it since it will take up inv or bank space.
Want end game content? Help guildies, do guild events like a jumping puzzle night, or help others through dugeons.
Ppl need to think less about material gains and more about helping guildies or even new players. Not all games are about the loot, that wows crap model.
Like wow? I can’t tell you how much I hated what blizzard did, the amount of leavers, and kittens you meet randomly really diminished the experience of dungeons. Ppl joining guilds for there ranks, using them for the benefits and nothing else. And I played on RPGs server moon glade kitten Most anti-social mmo I ever played, and I’ve played a lot.
Being able to monitor people’s health is the only benefit. But don’t ppl just heal themselves? Are there healers in pvp?

It depends what class you play. Guardians and warriors will always have a easier time compared to mesmers or elementalists. Some classes are more quishy than others at low levels or downsized.
Red circles are hard to see when there’s a lot of action going on as it is, not just for colour blind people! They do need to stand out more, this wont affect gameplay, cuz there will still be those who don’t dodge lol but will help those in gameplay who do dodge :-p.
And what happens if you are needing tonnes of iron ore but you keep getting orichalcum because of your level? Kinda messes it up for ppl who didn’t level up there crafting. Unless ore matches crafting level, but what happens when you want to gather for your alts? It’s messy.
I read somewhere that this will be implemented in the future.
There are other ways of getting laurels, dungeons is one.
This might not help, but there are weapons and armour sets that are bought from heart karma vendors too, I got a nice one for my guardian but not sure about medium armours, still if you find a nice chest piece on a heart vendor, the rest of the armour will be on more heart vendors on the same area.
I’m pretty sure it’s midnight server time, which isn’t uk time, cuz I think it was around 1am ish. You can turn on the clock through settings, I think there is an option for server time too.
Weapons are not all soulbound on use, this is false.
Blue weps can be used then resold as long as you do not make em soulbound by adding a sigil or gem to the open slot (really ain’t much point at lower levels as you can lvl fast).
Green items are soulbound due to the, having better stats than the blue items at the same level.
However, karma items from hearts cannot be resold or salvaged as this would be exploited and game breaking.
So just to recap. You can resell blue items as long as they didn’t come from a karma vendor or you adding something to the slot.
It would be nice to place the wep skills in a order we prefer, like the utilities.

I wish they would stay open too! To keep opening them all the time is frustrating. But still allow you to minimise if required.
I go lions arch all the time, mainly from heart of the mists, because its a quick way to portal from one city to the other costing nothing, but reducing overall amounts to money travelling from one side of the map to another.
Consider it like end game content, sure they are hidden, but that just gives you something to do when your level 8o. Also you can transmute better stats on them for yourself.
This game has more customisation than most mmos. Transmute stones allow you to take stats off one armour piece then take the visual off the other.
Map completions give transmute stones.
Also you can find armour sets and funky looking weeps from renown vendors (hearts). You’d be suprised as how good the renown sets look. Another thing to investigate at level 80 :—p plus renown armour and weps are cheep karma.. Doesn’t matter bout thr stats cuz you get the, from the 80 gear

I understand that some other mmos allow this but I guessing its do with the way they coded the way mailing works.
Moving slow In combat = should be using dodge, it’s your evasion button.
As for the downed bit, in other mmos ur dead, instead you get a second chance to get up, plus you can stop it in pvp performing a fatal blow.
How about a window with all the dungeon buttons on, then you click on the dugeon you want, and see a list of players wanting to go to that dungeon with a mini chat bar to talk to other players.
You can right click on a item and choose equip or equip in offhand, if its a offhand wep.
Guardians have mace and shield btw
I’m a bit lost, but since when was crafting mandatory to getting to level 80? Isn’t there enough areas and dynamic events to do without crating to get to 80? I mean you migh struggle if your just rushing through the maps, not doing events when they pop up ( which is also a nice way of meeting ppl and helping others gives ya that warm feeling in ya tummy).
I haven’t gotten to level 80 but I haven’t crafted much okn guardian and still managed to level upto 47 pretty fast just by doing the odd dungeon, dailies and any events that pop up. Also story gives nice xp.
Getting xy from crafting is a choice, you don’t wanna do then you should find other ways of getting do like events or map completions or dailies.
Don’t forget to preview items on renowned heart vendors, as they tend to have some interesting looking armour and weapons
How about letting players design creatures, weapons, armour sets in the form of competitions on the website.
Winners could receive gems or some kinda in-game item.
This would just be another way of engrossing some players who have an artistic imagination.
To reduce travel spenditures, use the button to travel to the mists (pvp window). It’s free and the portal to lions arch is just a metre in front.
At lions arch you can craft, collect from auctions, then take a portal to either of the four starter area portals.
This saves money when travelling from one side of the map to the other, but slight adds a little time to your trip.
If your short on cash, sell anything you can to black trade.
Perhaps in the future if they make new proffesions, some new weapons can come into play. Such as
- fist (close combat)
- throwing daggers or ninja stars (ranged)
- polearm (close melee combat)
- whip or chain (long range)
- scythe (close range)
- shotgun (close range)
- crossbow (ranged).
If there were to be a couple more professions in future expansions then, adding some of weapon types would also improve crafting by addiNg more weapon crafting types.
I think that the AOE circles need to be more clear, as its hard to see in some boss fights, specially since you can see other people’s AOEs.
Most ppl die from AOEs which is usually due to them not noticing it or that they don’t use dodge. Dodge Is very important, as it gets you out of Aoes before they hit if you notice. Running s too slow, if pressing v or double tapping isn’t working for you assign the button to a key or mouse button that makes it eZ to use all the time.
I have dodge on side mouse button, not very keyboard friendly me…
When there is soo much going on when killing bosses, it’s hard to watch everything, especially AOE circles. So if there is a way to make it more visual it would make dugeoning slightly less fruStrating
This would not work for people would had completed all there hearts. This would mean hearts would have to have some kinda reset. This would be problematic as you can only access a heart vendor when the events complete. Resets would imbalance the amount of karma and gold generated, unless they removed karma and gold from rewards when you’ve completed it once, as well as coding having access to the heart vendor after reset. Bit of a coding nightmare if you ask me.
Anyways you don’t need teams for hearts, there are all soloable, only dynamic events require help, and they are already on daily to do list…….
You know about collection bank space right? The button in inventory that lets you send mats to collection. You can 250 on 1 stack, then the rest has to go in bank slots, only made items go in bank slots. So if you haven’t already, take all raw ingredients out, put in ur inventory, and use the cog button and choose the collection option, also works for crafting coins.
I could see this being exploited loads, like others have said for karma, exp and gold.
People who don’t want to waste time going from new map to new map would just cycle through the waypoints to the same map over and over.
It’s a bad idea. Peroid. As for the lore, well they’re against much to be losing, most NPCs you can talk to, but mainly all you get is thank you email. That’s not lore lol.
Also this is a way for lvl 80s to farm quick karma and gold lol.

If he wants to target when solo, then it would only work if he can only see it, seems kinda pointless, unless in pvp I guess. Pretty. Sure there’s some options for sticky targeting in the options menu. Maybe that might help
But then the sounds would not match the story voices. They’d have to get several more actors to speak the entire amount of voice acting again, costing a lot of mula lol.
You think Swtor costed 190 million dollars because of its maps.. He’ll no it was voice acting, 12 orchestras and all the various path stories choices, which is voice overs again..
Just wanna comment on wow skill trees.
There really isn’t any choice, it’s mere illusion because certain skills belong to either healing, dps or tank, and the most part you choose one of three of those roles then choose to add skill points into skills for that role, if anything you might have a 2-3 skills points to move around in any one skill tree, but anymore and your gimping your class so there really is no choice, especially having ppl inspecting you in raids.
Infact, the traits in this game give you more choice as you don’t have to go 30 30 10, for some builds you have to spread the out more evenly, and you get to change the effects of the 10, 20 and 30 points.

Actually the more dungeons you add the more ppl will be devided between :-p .
You have 5 dungeons there gonna be more ppl to do them, you have 10 then there gonna be soo much spread out that it will make finding people even harder.
Next is easier dungeons, easier dungeons are in the form of story mode, harder ones are exploration. You get better gear in exp because its harder, but now you want easier dungeons with scale able loot? Then this loot should be nothing but blues or greens, especially not legendaries, or what’s the point of having hard dungeons.
As for dungeoning, join a good guild that does dungeons regularly, then you will have ppl to go with, by good guild I don’t mean lots of members, but members who actually do stuff together :-p
However, you should be able to send it away and bring it back, this functionality would be useful.
Ranger is a pet class, it’s no different from guild wars 1 or other mmos which has pet classes (hunter from wow). There are other classes that use ranged weeps without pets, it’s the point of the ranger class… To be Beast trainer.
