you mean T friends….I still don’t understand how they are all grouped into a thing called LGBT. seems kind of odd to label people so very different from one another into one thing.. also I do not see how a transgender has anything to do with a lesbian unless of course that trans is a lesbian

the good -
-exposure (most of the games I have found on there I would have not hear of otherwise)

-easy to organize games in different lists for what you are currently playing, have played, will never play again, installed and not installed

-you have the option to allow others to see what you are playing

-nobody can log into your steam account without access to your email (security)

-an easy way to communicate with a friend while in game

-the market
- badges
- groups
- cards
- steam wallet
- player reviews

the bad:
-DRM – that kitten is here to stay, no matter how much we hate it
-one extra program open – barely any resources used by todays standards
-the occasional disconnect – but that is why there is an offline mode
-valve takes a cut of each game sold

and the VERY worst thing about steam
- friends trying to talk you into buying their game OR feeling compelled to buy it because you see they play it…..oh my god my pooor poor bank account. every time they have a summer sale that thing bleeds to death

i have collected several stacks of things and sold it as cheap as possible. small amounts, a little lower each time.. mostly because the prices for most things i feel are way 2 kitten high

the gt 610 is a rather crap card man. im guessing you got this as a pre-built from the store? if so the motherboard is more than likely trash as well, honestly you just need a new build all together

they created it so DPS was what you was supposed to care about, but gave us stats and gear sets that make it seem like they simply screwed up the balance. it just makes no sense, they either made more gear just for the hell of it, or they cant balance things worth a kitten …its one of the two

they need to either
A get rid of the useless crap they made knowing it was useless

or B balance things so these gear pieces they did not intend to be useless are useful.

well now, I must really suck at farming because I never have hundreds of gold to spend…the most I have ever had was 260 gold, now I tend to stay around 7-10

less glowy, maybe some more actual artistic blades rather than a blurred shape and solar flares

there is nothing that can be done as long as you gain no money, do not claim to be affiliated with ANET or NCSOFT or the official franchise. that’s how mmo private servers can exist for years until they get greedy

some people take pride in joining the little guy(lesser pop) and watching it build up over the course of the years. most of the time I rather start with the fewest people on the server as I can myself

i have yet to have a problem with events or farming do the the other

pants, suits, leggings, yoga pants, big armors, tight fighting borderline naughty attire…yeah, we need more of all of it honestly

yeah its almost like as soon as people sit down at a keyboard they lose their freakin minds. we don’t need a gear check, we need balance. no gear set should be better than another if they are all exotic, even if you have 1 piece from several sets it should be viable and honestly it is(kind of), as long as you don’t pick your skills for a meta build without running the meta gear

im about as casual as it comes, same as my buddies..we have taken months from the game off at a time. we still seem to do decent enough, a little more work on the balance and the hard-cores could go at it with the same play-as-you-want style we do.

anyone here from the first days of EQ? god I miss the community from the early days of MMO’s

i was excited to see jumping in gw2 then they revealed the 3d platformer minigames …RAGE/QUIT ..jk…but really, i do hate them

and that’s why i worded it that way. the entire thread is a cluster. maybe i can give it that last straw kinda thing.

the ones i meant have the problems are the crazy ones that will sit in a game, rather than play it and cuss you because you dared try to join in on the fun be it a dungeon/zerg/whatever and it cost them a whole 30 copper extra that night because it took 8 seconds longer than they wanted

if a leader, or group of people are so worried about shaving an extra minute off the time it takes to complete a dungeon and stress over making everyone use what they are using…they have serious issues.

like cuddy said, many of us work 8-10-16 hours a day, have a family, a budget, bills etc. we don’t give a rats kitten about your “meta” i have one meta character, and ya know what…i don’t enjoy playing it very often.
me and a couple of my friends run together using builds/gear we want..its actually wayyyy easier when not every member of the group has to play the content as if they are solo.

the festivals I like, but ending up with 50 different currencies that have no use outside of the festival sucks. we should have direct rewards from activities, not yet another inventory slot (or 5) being used for tickets/skulls what the hell ever else they decide to throw at us.

then comes the oh so great “where in the hell is the proper vendor” mini-game where you run between 20 NPC’s trying to figure out where this junk you collected is to be used
in both games I have one character dedicated to holding all of this junk, and do not even remember what most of it is for.

new race = several new environments or changing existing ones which would not be cool.
a new city, or entire rework of npc locations and some changed to an existing city (although ALL zones, and cities would need to be changed slightly)

armors weapons, animation work. textures. background story. trying to tie them into whats going on now and what has happened although none of us seen squat from most other races

and a long discussion before the decision of which race to build. oh and all of these things would be done over..and over..and over..and over….because the first run at things like a video game hardly ever are what makes it to the final product. I guess in short that nahhhhhhhh I rather they work on something useful and new rather than just a different doll to dress

I had no trouble in PVP or PVE and I rarely went with the standard

the reason I was good in PVP – nobody expected anything other than a buncha kitten cookie cutters running at them. in PVE – because really any build used with some sense could be effective. also in gw1 you changed between saved builds a couple of times a night at least. maybe not weapons, but skills for sure…sometimes even stats and on occasion I would have to change secondary.

Guardian, maybe its the only one I feel comfortable with as far as what skill to use and when.

I wish it were Mesmer or necro. I made the Mesmer first, got to level 22 and have not logged into it again. my necro is level 80. and I think the last I used her was last summer..my 80 warrior…well, I honestly cant even remember his name.

sure..alright A-net, add raids. I think they are fun, do not put a reset timer on them, add another currency, or add any raid gear, special drops, or higher MF rate….make it exactly like open world, but without all of the strangers.

I HATE HATE..MY GOD DO I HATE dailies, if they added instanced raids, they would probably make it a “weekly” which would make me want to head into their office and beat them with…things

that’s why I quit WoW(other than the expansions killed it for me) I do not want to wait until Thursday at 8:23PM pacific time to do one 20man dungeon because that’s when the highest ranked on the server decided on that day and everyone else was forced into that cycle…

dailies, weeklies, time gates, resets…they all kitten me off to no end.
however a raid that we could do every single day of the week, or even repeatedly would be fine. we already have a RNG and diminishing returns. no reason there could not be raids that do not drop anything specific or special to that raid.

that leads me to another point. our wallet, we do not need all of those currencies or 500 vendors that sell the same crap for different costs.

all I done was change my traits to 4,2,2,4,2 OR 4,0,2,4,4
sometimes play with them adding one here, removing one there…depends on the kind of zerg im up against. but I haven’t had any problems running it that way

I will tell you though, I somehow manage to kill other guardians, but an archer can beat the breaks off of me 9 times out of 10. warriors it seems to be down to who gets the first shot, all the rest im about 50/50 win/lose

that’s my problem with it, it gave me less power, a little more crit chance, more skills that I have to use active instead of passive. im sure I just have not yet had enough practice with the build, but for the time being I seem to do less damage and die faster

Hello im lvl 30 atm and i dont know if ive been doing things right for leveling up, so far ive been focusing on chosing stuff with power and condition damage, right now my weapons are a sword and a torch a friend told me that my build is wrong and i should use a shield and a mace and get thoughness note that i just want to level up what kind of build do you reccomend me?

im not exactly a pro at this game, but I level pretty easily using a greatsword only, and taking gear that gave me more dmg, putting in cheap runes n such that gave me defense. the only problems I had were in dungeons

the way I figure it is if you are dying a lot in this game because of the build you use then its either time to change builds, or just run with a group that is specced/geared to play together.

dude, I chased the zerg 3 times tonight, fell off a cliff all 3 times right as they came into view, then the 4th time I catch them….and they was porting back.

I don’t like any of the legendary weapons, something a bit less flashy would be nice really.
a blade made of fire? cool, a bow that glows or whatever sure…but not every movement of the weapons should explode the screen with random colors. so while I get that you don’t want to fart rainbows and throw hellokitty at enemies , please dear god please do not convince them to make a bow that vomits black and green crap for a mile around

so I was there about to ding to 80 with my guardian, done a temple run, and as I don’t play that often I forgot that CGV was not the one to get the zerkers from. I was also a bit (ok, a lot) wasted I now have a nice shiny new complete set of rampagers.

im not a min-maxer or worried about being the best, only useful. being that I now have this complete set is it even viable for a GS guardian? I was thinking of maybe mixing a piece from each set and adding runes for power and toughness.

people need to remember this is a game and not a job. many rush through, or feel they HAVE to do every single thing in the game. often as fast as they possibly can. then one day they realize they have wasted 9 months worth of 40+ hours a week in a game, their friends quit calling them, they don’t have a girlfriend, and for some reason the dog quit barking several weeks ago.

install it, play it whenever you feel like, if its new then downloading a game isn’t going to hurt the computer. the game is worth coming back if you liked it the first time. getting bored with a game does not make it a bad game.
what will cause issues eventually
1. malware
2. registry
3. file corruption
4. needing to re-partition because of number 1, 2, and the windows install just getting old
5. the user

this is why I don’t hang out in real life with people that play games online. could you people kitten and moan any more? is it possible?.

the change has not even been made in the game yet and people need a box of tissues and some pills for the ulcer they are developing.

I would like to see the prices of gems lower or the items not cost as many gems. most things I would buy if they were not severely overpriced

So I just earmed myself a stalker thanks to my old guild that started hating on me and spreading information about my Facebook and I would like to know how you guys and Arena Net handle this.

Blocking a person can’t be solely the way on how to do this, but I have contacted Arena Net a numerous times, even contacting the guild’s officers and just don’t seem to care (when that’s their job…To deal with problems inside the guild).

If there’s an employee reading this, I would greatly appreciate your approach, so this person stops sending my personal information.

mostly just block them and go on. but if it honestly bothers you that much, contact facebook, contact anet, then get ahold of either a lawyer or law enforcement and they will have the persons ISP send a cease and whatchmakallzit…

• What leads you to believe that dissatisfaction with the alteration in the method for story content delivery is a popular topic?

• Why is the alternate method of story content unlock (logging in) such an onerous burden?
• Why is it unjust to offer a choice between logging in once in a given two week period or paying somewhere between 50-60% of the cost of a caramel macchiato?
• What evidence is there that “lack of communication” or lack of content acceptable to certain posters are a result of the monetizing model?
• What makes the RNG in this game “horrifyingly unjust?”
• Does any other company offer a B2P model with expansion packs as the only other cost to access?
• If no one else is monetizing solely via initial box sale and sales of expansion packs, what leads you to think it would be a viable method to monetize game development?

ANet put cosmetic items in the gem store? IRRELEVANT FLUFF! WHAT A WASTE! ANet put useful items in the gem store? PAY TO WIN! SCANDALOUS! ANet put nothing at all in the gem store? No revenue = no new content.

So, I don’t know. I don’t think the latter is what anybody wants.

and if they created content other than gem store crap that people enjoyed more of us would maybe spend real money on what is already there to support the company. there are things in the store I want, but right now I am not spending anything on them.

it would have been nice if they would have just kept releasing expansions for guild wars. this is a decent game, but it isn’t nearly as epic as guild wars was. i played guild wars 1 more than i do 2, and still would if i had anything left to do on any of my characters

I wanted to try the so called revolutionary mmorpg made by the creators of skyrim, did my wvw there and gotten emperorship. Gamebreaking exploit destroyed ny interest, came back and I am impressed. And yes I was kinda burnt out after making a few legendaries last time. See you around in game.

we already have char and transformation potions that people can crowd the npc’s and afk on them. I can only imagine 60 mounts crowded on an npc so you are doing the F-key dance for 5 minutes while staring at the minimap..

this is an MMO the world MASSIVE comes first, why would we want to shrink the game world? I enjoyed the very first MMO games that came out because they really did feel like a new world. waypoints are ok, I could do without them though but mounts?

yeah account bound and character bound on acquire/pickup sucks, I can understand why they done it but Im not sure if they should have.

what really gets my goat is that there are some things that cant be salvaged while leveling a new character.
