Guild Wars 2

Since the last patch Mesmer clones, Necromancer minions and Ranger pets have lost their blue nameplates, which makes it really confusing to differentiate between them and just random players.
It’s really bad in sPvP where I can’t locate my clones immediately in a fight because of all the particle effects – the blue nameplates were really helpful in that matter.

As far as I know this change was made so party members didn’t have a different nameplate colour then team members in sPvP but that change seems to have gone a bit overboard.

Well the “Hexed Outfit” is actually the Chinese version of the Witch’s Outfit.
It’s because in China bones are a no go or something like that.

I just don’t understand how new players can possible use TICKETS and the SUPPORT but not freaking understand the UI for gem-gold exchanges?
I didn’t figure out how to use support for a year … an by the way, how the hell can a “new player” have 75 gold to convert to gems? This is ridiculous.

Sounds a) like either Sohotin or Magdaer, since those are the swords who were being copied by the Ascalonians becaus of their prestige.

Strange. I’ve reset the episode twice tonight and still got nothing as a reward, though I did get to squeeze a few achievements out of it.

I suppose dragging an alt through will have to do.

You have to speak to one of the characters at the end of each episode in order to get the item again

Basically, if you follow Rox, you find someone from the Priory who tells you that their caravan was attacked and it’s extremely troublesome because they were carrying a very powerful magical locket which shows the current heir of the krytan throne.
Because it’s such a powerful item, they move it around randomly and with the utmost secrecy (the NPC tells you that because of your position in the Pact).

Wow. I totally missed that.
Sounds exciting though …
I am wondering if the attack on Concordia was just a coincidence …

They like – REALLY – need to watch their own Manifesto again, before they start harming the game.

Do they expect everyone’s PC to be able to run smoothly when you have XXXXYYYY players on the same map?
Why do they promote Zergfests, when literally NO ONE wants them?

I am still wondering how Arena-Net could dismiss such a big player base, by just ignoring them at all. They do not even grasp the idea of what RolePlaying in GW2 is actually about! No one wants to just “guild up” with people they do not know. In “our game mode” different guilds are different organizations. Splitting us up will do neither you nor us good. The RP playerbase is HUGE and it is a playerbase WILLING to PAY for a LOT! How can they be so ignorant and blind to just not care about them? This is ridiculous. I transferred to NA’s Tarnished Coast in order to be around roleplayers. This is suppressing my already muzzled motivation for this game.

Also, I was studying that dragon painting, and it seems like the dragon has strange tendrils hanging from its body. These could be plant-like appendages. But one thing seems sure, it does not look like Primordus as seen in Eye of the North.

That dragon painting looks similar to this concept art. I think perhaps that this dragon may be Mordremoth, look at the head patterns of both pictures, they both have these wavy figure patterns on their heads,it makes sense somehow.

I don’t think Menzies has anything to do with Scarlet.
His alliance with Dhuum and Abaddon was temporary. After all, Abaddon is dead and Dhuum is pretty locked up right now.

As far as I am aware the Mursaat ultimately betrayed the other 4 races.
So it is very plausible, that a sixth race would fill up their ‘space’ …

There was a thread, not long ago, how a guy thought the Asura would be ’today’s betrayers’.

I want a comprehensive, creative, thrilling, ongoing story.
You know, a real story. Not just some fragments and at the end you will have to explain everything because ultimately no one understood what happened or why it happened.

Just my opinion though. The new story instance in Lion’s Arch has been the best one of the Living Story. These five minutes were more appealing to me than 3/4 of the Personal Story and the rest of Living Story.
The personal story of humans is quite intriguing too, up to level 20 btw. (You know, before all of the mindless zombies swoop the whole thing).

She’s not that freaking annoying as Zojja, but still being an Asura, she has a BIG personality. THIS is what I love about Taimi and THIS is what makes her one of the most well-written, sympathetic characters of Guild Wars 2 at present time.

[I hated the pathetic voice-over of Kasmeer’s family story. Like really … this whining. Bah. I do like Kasmeer tho]

I don’t know about you …

I’m not scared of Scarlet. She is just kittenly unbearable.
It is that kind of annoying, that just makes normal persons rage.

And this is a negative thing? I find that rather positive. It’s a much more inherently interesting story. Mind you, I’d have loved a 2 hours dungeon with tons and tons of readable research logs and memos, explaining every little detail of the Reactor incident.

Thaumanova: a freaking hard Story Mode Fractal with a duration about 30 mins (I guess) → story content = 0%
Dessa: not even a minute of spoken content. → more interesting than 30 min worth of content.

Done it yesterday with 2 guards 2 warriors 1 ele. But only at lvl 31 or something. Its a good fix. but the respawn of dredge should be make slightly longer say 5 more secs

Oh the irony… 2 guards + 2 warriors survived it so it’s a good fix. Whatever happened to “bring the profession you want”?

They said “you can play with any profession you want”, not “you can succeed with any profession you want”.

So practically the highlight of the new Living Story content is [spoilers] Dessa not being able to leave the Fractals.

Because the Thaumanova Reactor was not even a bit interesting → nothing happened there. We didn’t even get to know WHY the reactor blew up or what this whole event was even about.

So yea. What we learned about Dessa is more interesting than the Thaumanova Reactor. Good job Arena-Net.

I am missing REAL villains.
The kind of villains, who actually are evil, who have NO scruples at all!
The kind of villains that really feel like a REAL THREAT.
This is the kind of villains, that we fear, that we are scared of, that we long for.

There is nothing better than a real villain.
Scarlet is no villain. She is a clown. She does not even feel like a real character at all.
She just pops up everywhere with no particular reason, babbling about magic and energy and kitten – should we be really interested by this?

Guild Wars 2 lacks something really essential!
CHARACTERS. There are a lot of NPC’s yea … but they are nothing than an empty shell, a 3-D graphics. If you want us to feel even a little bit concerned about then, GIVE THEM LIFE. You were successful with Tybalt. Why not with everyone else?
I didn’t even care when the other two “friends” died. They were shallow characters.

So give them 3-D model a little bit of character development, think it through and maybe let Scarlet kill off 1 or 2 important characters.

THIS will make me feel concerned for Tyria. THIS will make me hate Scarlet as a villain, not as a kittening clown jumping through portals like a freaking unicorn in disguise. Just cut the crap ArenaNet.

The Tower of Nightmares is an open-world map designed to challenge even the hardiest of groups. Fighting side by side, players will need to rely on each other to survive.

It clearly says “GROUPS”. Not “SOLO-PLAYERS”.

After getting the mask I actually went in again in order to get all of the achievements.
It was fairly easy. Took me about an hour or so, finding and “surviving” the last chambers.

That is no option. You can’t just “lose” items in a game like Guild Wars 2.

Imagine losing a legendary. Or an ascended item.

The tower is not even meant to be solo’ed. So why exactly are you trying to do that?
It’s like leaping of a building because you want to fly. <= not working.

So just stick with a group or take your friends with yourself.
If you can’t, then get yourself more skills in order to pass the minefield.
As an Elementalist I never actually had problems with the minefield. Even if they oneshot me, because I’m pretty low on hp.

Oh god how much I would like to be able to kill players in PvE … for real.

GOD. Guys really!
I did ALL of the achievements with an Elementalist (just turned lvl 80) with full exotic armor and only ONE ascended amulet. I’m pretty squishy, around 12k hp.

So just try an other build or get yourself some cleansing skills.

(I’ll have to admit though, no other class has a mobility comparable to the Elementalists)

I would love having the skins actually unlocked in the achievement window, the same as radiant/hellfire/zenith skins.

Let’s bundle it up.

Toxic Alliance: Sylvari (Nightmare Court) + Krait
Molten Alliance: Charr (Flame Legion) + Dredge
Aetherblades: Asura (Inquest) + (mostly) Humans

Oh I guess I will have to make it obvious:
Scarlet is not trying to take over the world. She is not even trying to fight Kryta or the other races.

She is looking for the perfect being.
I guess she has seen the future and how the Elder Dragons eventually take over the world.
Now she is looking for her own super-army of hybrids in order to keep order in Tyria.

Amen.

I still think Tybalt is one of the most exciting characters of Guild Wars 2.
Everyone else is just … meh …

… in the latest Disney film our Mad Queen Malafide is starring alongside Elle Fanning, as the Witch Maleficent. I think she is just as flawless and epic as always. <3

They come from the Pale Tree as well. Though unlike sylvari they are born small and grow up, and iirc, do not inherent knowledge from the Dream of Dreams.

So I guess if the Pale Tree is “spawning” Sylvari Hound, so is Malyk’s own tree?
