I suggest to use double dagger, becouse staff and scepter need the targets to be still for doing the maximum damage possibile. d/d is more direct damage, but you are like a melee, so you will need defensive utilities (armor of earth, signet of earth, arcane shield).
Use ether renewal as healing skill.

The skin is the only thing that applies. You won’t get the ability to change stats on those weapons. You won’t get the particle effects, the footsteps, the weapon skill effects, and so on. Just the skin. Only you’re originally crafted weapons will be truly “legendary” and rightfully so.
Are you sure? the effects are part of the skin…
Just for clarity (and get the word out there):
Celestial gear will not be nerfed.
There has been a lengthy discussion about it that resulted in a dev stating they were aware of it and would buff celestial’s other stats to make sure it wouldn’t be affected by the critical nerf.
Yeah… a set with major crit dmg and a bit of all the other stats become just all stats… not nerfed… sure…
they should give a change stats for celestial items :|

Remember that elementarist is very squishy and d/d needs you to stay at really close range, so you must be good at dodging, you should use earth elemental (glyph and elite), and blast into fire fields (with the utility arcane wave and the healing skill arcane brilliance) to empower your damage with might boons.
Elementarist can use also Scepter and Staff but they’re no so good for levelling, they’ve too much abilities which need the enemy to stay still, but the enemies chase you!!
You could try also a Focus, but it’s a mostly defensive weapon.

Someone would be so lovely to explain why Celestial good at all?
It looked like to me like a 14/14/14/14/14 trait distribution. Good at nothing, but at least not bad.
By now celestial is pretty good only for builds which have:
- Mainly power based direct damage attack, no condition weapons (you wanna use that high crit dmg)
- With a lot of healing sources (if not you would use a mix of soldier/berserker)
- and still which applies damaging conditions (same reason)
So Guardians and elementalists, and not for pve
Celestial will suffer a huge nerf in damage, becouse probably its higher critical damage will be lowered to have Ferocity in the same amount of all the other stats. (now is like twice or more the other stats).
In return all the stats will be boosted by a small amount.
So not only less dmg becouse those stats point will be shared but also less useful becouse those stats point will be aslo add to healing power and malice which aren’t as useful as the other stats (pow/prec/fer/vit/toug)
With my staff ele I don’t even enter in WvW without 19k+ and 2600+ armor.
The most you stay alive, the most you are useful!!!

By making this change celestial’s users are losing 64 point in a really useful stat like Ferocity, and redistributed between all stats including 2 “lesser” stats:
- Healing Power which is fairly useful
- Condition Damage which is really weak for the majority of the buildsI’m inclined to disagree with this. If you’re going Celestial, you should be doing it with a spec that can make use of everything the spread has to offer, including healing power and condi damage. There are esoteric sets that aren’t easy to fit into a build; Celestial’s one of them.
Well, with my staff elementarist (almost) full celestial I make a good use of healing power, my WvW role is damage/support so I need a minimum of 700 healing in order to be effective but I can’t go over 800 becouse I would lost too much damage or survival. And even if i could choose for more heal, healing power over a medium amount scales good only for guardians in WvW gameplay, it’s not worth for all the other classes.
So, would I lost for istance 50 healing point in return for 50 damage stat point? Yes, if I’would be still beyond the minimum number. Thats why i said that Healing is “fairly useful”.
Cond. dmg scales really bad with burning and a little better with bleeding. I don’t have access to a condition spam skill with my staff so cond. dmg is the worst stat for my build.
Still celestial stats are the best for my role, considering that all the almost useless cond. dmg and even a part of the healing stats are given “for free” in comparison with all the other sets.
But, as I said before, losing a damage stat in exchange of all stats including healing and condition makes celestial worse than it used to be.

So if they’re going to bring 14.7 to 83, we have 64.4 stats point to redistribute.
It means 9.2 stats point per stat type, 83 becomes 92.2

+92 Ferocity (6.9% Critical Damage)

BUT

Why?
Less is too risky, a dead player deals ZERO dps/support and could make rally the enemies. Never less than 1700, it’s the rule.
More is too hard to stack, i should sacrifice other stats, and i can’t do it.

1. Add a new tab to the hero menu. There you could dedicate your miniatures to your account (permanently removing it from the inventory in process). In the menu you can select a dedicated miniature for automatical use whenever possible.

And what do you think about superior sigil of renewal?I think that more healing power is better than 10 to stats , AH makes sure that my hp never drop below 50% ( with party ).
Sigil or renewal heals us for 530 ( every 10 sec , 300 radius ) , I’m confused if it worth more than might ( I may change it ).
I don’t know how “15 healing +10 boon duration” could be better than “10 all stats + 15 boon duration”
Well, you wanna use your high healing the more you can, and sigil of renewal is another way to direct heal.

Wait for ascended armor crafting. The exotic inscription will be used for crafting ascended inscription, but the ascended armor piece will not require exotic recipe at all.
But you will need 500 tailoring (farm farm farm), and also globes of dark matter, tons of cloth and who knows what… for just few stats…
I’ve buyed 2 days ago the 6 recipes needed to craft light celestial… 90 gold less or more, it’s a lot of money but i need those recipes before the ascended armor comes out, becouse i would try to craft the ascended one instead, i know myself very well, it’s what happened with the celestial staff :p
I’m elementarist, now I use full soldier armor and berserker staff, by turning my equip in celestial I will see this changes:
-272 power (ouch!!)
+91 precision
+20% crit dmg (omg!!)
+219 healing power
+219 conditon dmg
toughness and vitality almost the same
I’ve transmuted 30 quartz crystal for the armor and I’m 30 gold from celestial ascended staff… I can’t wait for it!!
I buyed some exotics with a superior rune which worth almost how the exotic itself worth, then I used Black Lion’s Kit to salvage them, with 10 salvages i got my globs (from 3 to 0 each try). I selled the runes and i’ve got back almost all my golds plus the mats from salvaging:)
I got the answer from this video, it says from 10 to 50, so the average is 30.
It costs less if you buy them from tp XD
I’ve transmuted mithril and i got 37 orichalcum, then i’ve transmuted elder wood and i got only 15 ancient wood.

About some strange request i’ve seen in this topic:
- Katana should be a Greatsword skin, and Wakizashia (short katana) a Sword skin.
- Orbs and Books are Focus skins.
- 2h axe can’t be a greatsword skin, it’s not a 2 hand sword, neither an hammer.
- Pistol + whip? why would you use a ranged weapon with a immobilize/pull weapon?!
- Scythe?! It’s a dumb weapon, no one would choose to fight with a scythe, leave them as a Staff skin
- Thief with 2h axe is unacceptable!!
I would go for: 2h Axe (including poleaxe skins), main-hand Fist weapon (claw), off-hand Whip.
Maybe crossbow but it’s not really necessary, every weapon added costs a huge effort!!

No one likes huge zergs (also called blobs), they cause lag and kill strategy.
What if every person which join a group of people bigger than 30 units nearer than 1200 range would suffer a 50% speed slow?
Think about that, 25 people are zerging together, 5 people join them and nothing happens. Another 5 people try to join them but gain the slowing debuff.
It can’t be counter with swiftness so they can’t reach the zerg which moves at 33% speed. They must create another group of people, choose another way to fight or stay behind at distance.
pros:
- Blobs will be removed, or at least moving blobs.
- this would foster the creation of more medium sized groups instead of huge ones.
- Comanders will create new strategies, like real armies with front, lateral and back groups playing together for victory

No more than 1 each day, they could be skipped and If someone wanna spend some minutes doing them all together he will find them in a menu section. For istance you could do them while waiting for dungeons or scouting in WvW.

I played staff elementarist in WvW for 10 months, I’ve always played a build created by myself which is pretty good in every random group situation:
70% boon duration, mixed soldier/berserker/celest (I don’t wanna farm for a full celestial), permafury, mights on swaps and on cantrips, vigor on crits, etc
I call it “boon build”, and imo It’s a nice build, I don’t play bunker becouse I don’t need it, I usually play 1000+ distance from enemies, spreading fields and aoe, but It happens to be involved in the heart of the battle so I use defensive cantrips and a mixed armor stats.

The only thing I’m not sure of is Fire VII (-20% cooldown on fire spells)
It’s the strange trait in my build, I use it becouse is awesome for covering walls with aoes, most of all Lava but also Meteor, and It’s good also in a zerg fight. Also burning retreat could be very useful when the battle goes wrong. (and 100 power too)
But I was thinking about spending those 10 point in another row, I’m uncertain about these:
- 10 in Earth for Earth III (armor of earth when life falls under 50%, 90 sec cd)
pro: more defence in critic situations, 100 tough, 80 tough while in Earth attu
doubts: do I really need it?
- 10 in Water for Water IX (-20% cooldown on cantrips)
pro: I use 3 cantrips and they give me also mights, 100 vit and heal
doubts: will it make a noticeable difference?
- 10 in Water for Water III (vigor and reg on cantrips)
pro: the same of the one up here
doubts: I don’t take vantage of regen boon as a bunker player does, and I recive vigor from crits yet
- any suggestion?

I play from 2 to 3 hours every day in game and I’ve barely enough time for explore to the full the new living story (which means to complete all the achies).
I would like to have time for playing some WvW with my guild, for complete all the JPs, for level some alts. But I don’t wanna miss contents becouse they’re temporary, and I wanna enjoy them.
If Anet want to carry with the temporary contents it’s ok, but I really need more time to complete them.

I’m a staff elementarist, I use all 5 jewels celestial when in WvW
with Armor set full and back PVT and Staff Berserker
I need a medium/high damage, my meteors and lava fonts need to hit hard
I need defence, I can’t be too squishy: a dead player is useless
I appreciate some healing, I nearly have perma-regeneration and I use a lot healing rain and geyser on my server mates
I don’t spit on some extra condition damage, is by far the more useless stat for a staff ele but I often apply aoe bleeds and burning so it’s not a total waste
The extra quantity of stats that the celestial gives cover the less useful stat (cond. dmg) and more
