I always love being the last one standing, soloing whatever it is, cause popping in and out of DS, plus dagger or staff, plus Unholy Santuary… I just… don’t die
Option on items to “lock” them, that way they don’t appear in vendor lists.
Example, i salvage 80 items to free up some bag space, and since they all like to drop minor runes, i now have to go vendor the 70 runes that are now taking up space.
Instead of having my ascended gear show up and may accidentally vendor it in my mad dash to click sell 70 times.
Maybe an option to right click and choose “lock” that way an accidental sell would not occur.
Buy an invisible bag. That’s what they’re for.
I am not in favor of only one system, ie: buying through the TP. There is no feeling of accomplishment when you buy something. This is one of the problems I have with legendary weapons. You can simply buy them. There is nothing Legendary about that.
My issue is more that a lot of weapon skins are released via black lion tickets and not via game content. There are so many in fact that Anet has been removing skins from that merchant. Now I am sure there are a variety of reasons for this but one theory (not my own) is that there are too many skins, they need to temporarily remove some of the skins in order to make room for new ones.
I’d much rather play through an epic encounter to get this skin, kill a difficult boss, earn tokens for doing events or such in order to earn these skins. It just doesn’t mean as much when you simply buy it with gold or gems or some combination there of.
Just my opinion. I realize not everyone favors this.
One (of the many) things I loved about GW1 was that several bosses in the world dropped named weapons, some with unique skins. Most were max stat weapons, but eventually, they added some in lower level areas, too. Those were the “Legendary” weapons of GW1. People would show them off, because of the effort it took to get them. You couldn’t just simply craft them. Not only did you have to beat the boss, but to increase the odds of getting it, you had to beat it without henchies or heroes. They were marks of skill or talent.
There should be a similar way of getting them in GW2.
And yes, I know, people traded and sold them in Kamadan, but if you could make the plat+ectos to buy some of them, that took some skill too :P

=> I second the motion for tattoo style GW1 armor and +1 to branded armor sets
=> I second the motion for “legendary Dyes” or add an “effects slot” to the dye menu so you could add different glows, metallic effects sparkles or whatever to each piece of armor. (Maybe when you soulbind a legendary it unlocks the “effect dye” for it’s unique aura instead of only playing it when equipped to keep those effects unique)
Yet again, yes, yes, yes, YES, YES, YES!
New LS chapter has shown what the purple glowing eyes can look like. I’d love for this to now be made available as well. I’d also love a purple spinal blade color to be developed by some NPC that we can craft like the others.
In this vein, would also like some shiny purple Branded style armors.
My home instance is my guild. Literally. I dumped a heck load of gold into scribing so I could craft myself a bed, table and lamp so my quiet corner of the city would be a “home”.
I just wish Anet would allow players to loot unlocked nodes in guild halls instead of their home instances so I could “move” into my guild hall good and proper -.-
I wish Home Instances were as customizable as Guild Halls.
How about a Charr mount for my Asura.
Seconded. After all, what else are Charr good for?
Sometimes I wonder that. I think I just like being in Tyria…
Mostly my favourites from GW1 that would bring a little new flavour to each weight class. Necromancer Obsidian- particularly the femme set, Luxon and Kurzick (elite or 1k) Ranger and Monk, and Elite Mesmer Rogue (pls…I need pants for my scholars. Charr Hide armour is…probably not coming back…
GW1 Scar Armor (Normal or Elite or both), Kurzik Armor (normal or Elite).
Played a Necro in GW1. I always play a Necro, but GW2’s may be my most favorite. I don’t die I heal with every hit, every well, every minion munch, and every time I rez a player. I walk into a field of Pocket Raptors where some Ele or something is downed, quickly switch to Shroud, suck the little buggers dry, then rez the dude. I walk out without a scratch. I solo Champs in PvE.
The only thing that can kill me is falling without Gliding properly ;D
No other class I play can I just go out and do ANYTHING and get away with it.
Oh, and I love “The Crossing.” Perfect Staff for a Necro, sexy as hell.
Necro forever
((No, I don’t PvP, so I don’t / can’t comment on that.))

It’s absolutely fine just as it is.
I’m beautiful and wicked, so, what’s the problem?
Would be awesome, especially shirtless. GW1 scar armor, for example, was great.
I’ll vote for this. And yes, mainly for males
I dont support this because it leads to people not being able to express their emotions anymore.
I dont want my kids to show me an emoji on their smart phone, when i ask how the are doing.I’m not sure how that works. I just don’t understand. Emoticons are supposed to add to the conversation. Why is “I’m fine” better than “I’m fine”? Especially if the first one can be miss-interpreted as something bad? If you add a simple smile, you can change the tone of your entire sentence.
Could you explain please?
There is no explanation. Emoticons (which is what they should be called) are there to give a facial expression to text, to simulate body language. They are useful to prevent misinterpretation in a quick text.
Also, to Wanze, do you encourage your kids to use apostrophes and to capitalize the word “I?”
:D

I like both Outfits and Armor Sets. Both have their uses. I would like more armor sets in the Gem Store, though.
I tried shadow purple and swampblack for my Necro’s glider… Seemed to turn out cool.
Still would be nice to be able to just walk in, given I’m in the Priory and all, at least on my main.
This says it all:
Video: https://youtu.be/gQJbZOldFSw
I’m all for options. When the game started, I had a problem with AoE skills due to my really bad hands using the mouse. I even stopped playing for awhile. Between then and now, they added the option to snap AoE circles to target, which I happily use now to “mouseless” target my AoEs. Options, people! They’re awesome!
So, yes, options are always good. Personally, I love jump-and-hold, because it works for me, but having an option for other people to change it just for them would be awesome.

Toggle for visible/invisible shoulders and gloves in Outfits.
Toggle for visible/invisible shirt in Equipment.
well i also died hundred of times in this instance .. but somehow i managed it .. actually more the npc than me. after this instance i dont know where to go. where is caudecus chamber? i’ve been walkin in the green circle of this map for 20 minutes, found a lot of letters and enimies .. but where is his chamber???
That is certainly bugged. His room is nowhere near that green circle.
What it says on the tin.
He would look fab. I think it was my topic you were looking for. In any case, yes, this should be an obvious addition and option to have. We have hidable gloves, shoulders and helms. Shirts, at the very least, should also be hidable.
Can you PLEASE add the speedo as an outfit soon, I’m kittening begging you. Every day I wake up and log in, I see my character and he STILL ISN’T WEARING A SPEEDO and I die a little more on the inside. I will pay anything.
Yes, yes yes.
Or a “Jungle Faren” outfit
There’s no reason for it not to have been an option in the first place, IMO, because of consistency with GW1.
Limited time availability only works well if your entire potential market always has and will have had access to the item. For example, video games. If a game has a limited edition, odds are that your entire potential market will have access to buy that limited edition because they don’t need to be a member of a certain thing to see it. Any person can go in off the street to a store to order it.
If portions of your potential market may have only become a part of your market after the limited item has already left but they would definitely buy it when they see other people that have it, then it’s actually bad marketing to deny them that ability to purchase it.
Or if you didn’t know about an outfit, like the Tribal Armor, until after it was gone…
I must have missed something, I thought the only update we were getting on Tuesday was Halloween.
What changes are you so worried about?
Big ole marked post by Gaile, titled “Upcoming balance changes”.
I guess this is why I could never be a ‘meta game’ player. Even though my main is a druid I looked at that as a list of tiny changes to skills I’m not sure I use and promptly forgot all about it.
I think the only times a balance patch has affected how I play was when they completely changed dervishes in GW1 and when they removed ground-targeting from ranger traps in GW2. Other than that I tend to look at the updates, decide I really can’t understand why it matters if a cooldown is 4.5 seconds or 5 seconds or whatever and go back to playing.
Excellently said.
Title: Outfits as Individual Armor Pieces (stupid 45 character rule prevented me from saying this)
So, I’m really digging the Noble Count Outfit. It looks amazing on all of my characters, especially my Charr Engineer. The only problem I have with it is that it takes away my headgear (A hard earned monocle that suits his nobleness greatly). The same concept applies to the other outfits I own, such as the Fancy Winter Outfit, where I would want to change or remove the boots or the hat to my own taste.
Thus an idea occurred. What if Outfits went BACK to their original single piece clothing items, and went INTO our account wardrobes. That way, we can mix and match clothing pieces with other forms of our armor in order to further enhance our creativity options.
The same could be applied to town clothes as well, but that of course is up to the devs.
I’ve been wanting to mix and match my outfit pieces with armor for awhile now.
If there absolutely “must” be skimpy outfits, at least have them be equal-opportunity, just as the practical outfits should be equal-opportunity. I’m sure many straight women, gay men and bi folks among the playerbase wouldn’t mind some eyecandy aimed at them for a change.
Yep, been asking for that for years.
So, I had accidentally deleted the character I had that had this item shortly after the 2012 halloween event ended. The wardrobe update didn’t include my Mad Memories (as expected). My question is simple: Can I or can I not obtain the Mad Memories this year?
Seriously, did you not read the two posts directly above yours?
ANet should make it available for people who can spell it.
You know.. I just discovered, unless stopped, my Chrome automatically changes “Memoires” to “Memories.” Apparently, “Memoires” is not a real word. “Memoirs,” however, is a real word.
Welcome to LA, here’s a wall.
Or just make them trade-able. It’s not like hyperleveling is a problem now, with insta-80 HoT players who don’t know how to play. Shouldn’t change a thing.
There is a place for it on the map, after all.
That’s why I simply want the option. If you wanted to use the mouse, you could still use the mouse. It would be a toggle in settings whether you want it GW2 style (current) or GW1 style, targeted.
+1000
And 15 characters to boot.
Having exclusive rewards per Gamemode is fine it shows what you did to accomplish it, now they need to make sure all Gamemodes have access to the same quality rewards, i.e. New Legendary Armor for WvW, PvP and possibly a way to craft Legendary Armor for PvE all with Different Skins so that they are distinguished by what they did. Game modes having monopolies on quality of rewards is a problem, Anet shows they are slowly fixing that issue with the latest PvP update, they just need to expand the effort
That’s a simple solution. Or, just have a way of upgrading any armor to Legendary stats, so you can have the stats, but not the “show-off-ness” that the raid players desperately crave for some reason.
No vertical progression is why I limit my time in this game. I clear the raids, keep my placing in pvp, but other pve and wvw content there’s no point to playing.
That’s the reason I play this game to start with and keep with it. It’s not a WoW clone, nor should it be.
By Legendary stats you mean Ascended Armor ? Since they are the exact same stats.
I think they mean the stat switching ability
Yes, have a PvE track that finishes with a way to upgrade any armor to Legendary Quality, whatever that brings.
I’d say make non-Raid PvE Legendary set in addition to the raid one, so that people can have both, or one or the other, but Anet hates making armor sets, so…
Hello,
I completely agree.I like to play at my pace (read: at ease) and my pace does not fit 99,9% of people. Especially people doing dungeons.
That said I read people telling they could solo some dungeons (if not all) so I decided to give it a try.
Yesterday I did Ascalon and managed it. I soloed Ascalon in 1 hour. I died 2-3 times but as repair and portal are free that is fine.
After this I was a bit motivated. So today I tried the next one: Caudecus … and managed it as well. I also needed 1 hour but died 4-5 times. My guildmates told it was a good performance.I will try other dungeons going up in difficulty.
Anyway, if at least story mode would scale to the group, that would be great.
Of course, it would be even better if the different paths would be scaled as well.During some events there were small dungeons, I remember one in the snow area which I did almost everyday. It was nice. I would gladly do that again.
Imarion
+10
I soloed most of the story mission zones in GW1 and its expansions. Would love to be able to the same with dungeons here, at least in story mode.
I did fine with my Staff Necro, going in and out of Death Shroud, and Lich Form. I had fun

My biggest issue with new LA is the piazza area. It is sterile and lifeless. There are parts of LA that are beautiful and I think an improvement, but that’s not where we spend our time when we’re in LA. So instead of seeing the best of new LA, we mainly see the marine-life buildings and the empty, wasted piazza that doesn’t even have a lion statue. It hurts my soul.
(and to keep it on topic – the halloween decorations for new LA are simply inferior. Having the twisted trees with spooky pumpkins and fall inspired corn stalks doesn’t fit the new aesthetic, so we get bland candy corn. Booooo. I can’t say it enough. BOOOOO!)
This is what Halloween in Tyria should ALWAYS look like…
Must be nice. I’m done w/ this nonsense. I got to the ELEVENTH snowflake FOUR times. Two or three times it either blew up or melted beneath me, I’m not sure which. But I ended up back at the start, so I guess it’s immaterial.
The one time I got past that, I actually got to the SEVENTEENTH snowflake. And it disappeared even as I landed. Not sure how I got that far, It was like the snowflakes stopped melting for a few seconds.
I have tried and tried and TRIED this JP this season. I’m upwards of fifty attempts, which is more than twice as much as I have tried it in any preceding season, and SEVENTEEN is now my new number. With at least four more past that.
This puzzle is JUST TOO FAST. I over jump or under jump or I jump at the wrong angle EVERY single TIME I try to “match the pace” that this JP demands. I’m done banging my head.
I renew MY DEMAND THAT THE DEVS EITHER REMOVE THIS REQUIREMENT FROM WP, OR FURNISH US NON-JUMPERS WITH SOME OTHER METHOD TO COMPLETE THE ACHIEVEMENT.
Anything less is a direct slap in the face to those of us WHO CANNOT DO THIS.
I’ve read your posts, and I feel your pain. People who can do something never seem to be able to fathom why other people can’t do that thing. I’ve been guilty of that, myself, concerning other subjects. Eventually, I taught myself that no one can do everything, and if someone can’t, then don’t expect them to be able to. Lots of people on these forums could learn that lesson, too.
And, I’m with you. I am horrible at JPs. My hands just weren’t designed for rapid movements like that. One of the reasons I loved GW1 so much was that it was all spell/counter-spell, and you pretty much stood still during battles. Most I can manage in GW2 is dodging and kiting, which gets me through most things. But, I mainly survive with non-meta survival builds, same as I did in GW1.
With help from my spouse, I have been able to get the HoT MPs that required jumping to get, but I certainly don’t do JPs for fun. And I’m eternally thankful for the Mesmer that spoon-ported me through the hell that is the Chalice of Tears so I could get that MP.
So, yeah, I know exactly where you’re coming from, even if no one else does. I gave up on getting Winter’s Presence for that reason. Instead, I got the ice dragon mini that snows on me once in awhile, and the new outfit has an aura that expels ice flakes, so I’m satisfied with that.
Now, if Anet took away the JP requirement for Winter’s Presence, I would definitely try and get that, too.
Beautiful, Necrotic Orr…. yes, please!
GW1 Scar and Tatoo armor as either Outfits or Armor Skins
Also:
Just saying that tribal tattoo armor is already in the game.
and can’t be obtained
Well not anymore. It was before, but only through pvp as a rank reward which was converted to regular armor through the wardrobe patch.
Given there was no warning that it would vanish, or that it would be convertible to PvE via the Wardrobe (after said vanishing), thus not giving primarily PvE players the option to make sure they got it in PvP before the deadline, it should now be available in the Store.
Make us PvE-ers PAY for something the PvP people got for free! They should be okay with that. I am! Take my money!
+1 All of that
The TP intentionally is slow with a lot of clicks, to thwart spammers. Even as it is, if you sell things to quickly, you get an Error and have to stop for a few minutes.
So, to do what you ask, Anet would have to turn its internal paranoia settings down
For your perusal: Jungle Lord Armor skins
Light armor consisting of a loin cloth, a fur cravat (and a fur bra for the ladies), dirt for shoes, an ostentatious signet ring (I’m rich you know), a twig caught in the hair, and idk a bird on the shoulder or a used band-aid or something.
Medium armor is literally the light armor with a greatcoat with the sleeves torn off and some tasteful tattered ends slapped over it.
Heavy armor is a hodge-podged conglomeration of dino parts, leaves, and wreckage that might actually count as armor.
This!
Also GW1 Necromancer Scar armor as a light armor skin.
And this… which used to be there, and now is not… or a variant of it… or something like it….
Wardrobe Unlocks… For free accounts Royal Guard Outfit is also included. A reward for accounts created before August 29, 2015.
When this item was released they stated :
“To celebrate this special three-year anniversary of Guild Wars 2, we’re giving current players an all-new Royal Guard Outfit. Wear it with pride whenever you want to show that you were there early on, and that you’re someone that new players can go to for help.”This was reward of buying the game for 50€/$ since it didn’t require you to play the game, if you had account you got outfit. The outfit was the only thing we really got. We still had to pay for expansion the same price.
What the hell, Anet?
Okay, this is low. Anet… fix this. This should NOT be available.
You do know that 1 skills are auto attack skills, right? Some of your ideas would make me go insane if they were auto attack, especially this:
Thief Torch
1) Twilight Shade> Flash Shadow Step to a target, damage and return to your old position in a matter of lightspeed
or at least give you a screaming headache if you’re zoomed too far in…
I… I have one main. That’s… that’s why it’s a “main.”
o.O
