And yet, not too many months ago, several ArenaNet employees enjoyed spectating a GvG at the mill when Red Guard played (don’t remember who it was they fought against but it’s of minor importance). If that wasn’t suppose to happen since it wasn’t how WvW was supposed to be, why didn’t they stop it back then and just watched it in enjoyment?

You are LUCKY that anet hasn’t made a features to counter gvg’s altogether so far. That doesn’t mean you are playing the game as intented. That doesn’t give you the right to be bad namecallers. Gvg people are the most arrogant people in wvw, the most spamming people on forums/twitch, you anoy the crap out of anet, and you are amazed after all this time a Dev lost his ‘professionalism’, shortly after being called a lot of bad names? That being said what the dev did was wrong. There’s no excuse for it. Anyway the bad name calling people, can for the most part, thank themselfs for what just happened. And that should say something. I know a lot of games, that are way more brutal in the way of enforcing the game how they intend you to play it. Anet isn’t like that. You guys cheating wvw 1000’s of times with Gvg’s that are not supposed to happen there. They still haven’t stopped/banned you for it. Be gratefull. A lot of games would not be that kind. This is not fanboyism btw. I played other games. Where i had similar issues wanting to play the game like i wanted it, but the devs disagreed. And they completely inserted countermeasures, so it wasn’t even possible to be stubborn and still do what you want. Calling Anet bad for giving you so much freedom when they don’t have to do that is very unrespectfull. And I can’t help but agree with them, they are not very motivated to ever create gvg now. That’s on you guys (bad namecallers, arrogant ’we own this gvg spot, all interferers are: bad name). Nobody else.
Don’t lump all of the GvG’ers together. I see people acting like kittens in sPvP, WvW (as intended), dungeon groups, etc. But those communities aren’t labelled as “arrogant”. And they did put a countermeasure in when they introduced bloodlust, which made GvG unable to be balanced.
How are we “cheating WvW 1000’s of times”? There may be a few guilds that only do GvG, but the majority of them are the most active WvW guilds in their servers. It seems like many people are completely forgetting that the people that do GvG typically are the ones giving a huge positive impact on your server’s WvW. So don’t act like all GvG guilds are “cheating” you out of something, because most of them are in fact helping you out the most.

WvW has a limited amount of slots and there may have been a queue of players waiting to get in.
If there was no queue, then there is no reason for him to complain.
So?? They made www place where you can do anything you want. You can frigging sit in spawn and craft if you want, score doesn’t mean kitten, rewards are kitten, you can’t even see after match which guilds did well and so on. Why we would have any motivation play game how anet want it to be played?

If the GvG folks had been polite, I might have a different opinion, but they weren’t. They started out being kittens and the employee was right in flipping his tag and calling them out.
Every lvl 80 monkey knows what gvg is nowadays, especially those who wear Anet tags. His purpose of standing there was to troll, which he even confirmed.

I can farm rank points anytime I want; all I have to do is get my guild grouped up and go blob-hunting. And since when can a losing server not get WXP?
Have you even karma trained? The dominant server trains through EB, doesn’t defend stuff, and lets it flip. The lower servers flip things repeatedly. It is often a nonverbal agreement of, “Hey, this matchup sucks. We may as well just flip things and get something out of it”. That seems commonly accepted, but somehow the tiny amount of WXP you get from a GvG is “kill trading”.
There is a lot of standing around in GvG’s, and even if you were to get tags on everyone, we are only looking at 1-2k WXP points in an hour. I can go take a keep and tower to get more WXP than that.

I agree to a certain extent, they could have picked a nicer tone to start with, asking him kindly to move out of the way and stop interfering etc.
With that said, as an employee of a company you should never act like that towards your customers, and I know for a fact that if this was me doing something similar I would have gotten the sack as soon as my supervisors got hold of it.
OP, you’re implying ANet gives a Risen rump about GvG.
Considering how little they care about WvWvW, do you really think they’re going to let you enjoy GvG for what it’s worth? Once you break out of that mindset that deludes you into that mindset, you’ll realise you’re wasting your time even bothering with this. Sad, but it’s just how it is.

1. Roamers = Kill traders. (they don’t place any siege and don’t take any structure and don’t participate in siege warfare)
2. Roaming small guilds = Kill traders (small guild like mine never take any structure – even supply camps and never place siege – we simply kill enemy small raids)
3. Roaming Guild Raids = Kill traders (i’ve seen Guild raids with up to 25+ people roaming the maps without taking any structure or placing any siege – and only killing enemy zerg in open field – like gvgers)
4. Roaming zergs that farm enemy zergs = MASS Kill traders. (i’ve seen a EB queue size zerg roaming whole day without taking any structure or placing any siege.When i asked what they do the answer was – we farm lootbgas since it’s faster and easier than PvE farm for gold.)
Non of those groups i’ve mentioned is playing WvW by the rules – Siege warfare so they’re all KILL TRADERS.

You can’t put up you ANet tag and be such a moron, you just can’t; with that tag on you are representing your company and this was so kittening stupid, disrespectful and unprofessional.
