Gandara Garrison is scary. If you get too close to it or use the waypoint, you are catapulted out of WvW and transformed into an error report.

Actually I think it was more that our Guilds tend to be fun to fight, wether they be the small ones or the big, think of it as a compliment when they sent everyone at us 24/7

Screw the professions, I want the names of the developers who okayed stuff like this.

Had a mixed evening yesterday starting at AM BL. No resistance at all, we took towers we took keeps but nobody showed up. Tried RS BL but infamous queue hit us. Changed to AG BL for the rest of the evening where we found opponents, to be honest plenty of them. Unfortunately no guild groups but big and sometimes very big zergs from both servers. So we had to change our strategy here and there a bit from “Jump in and try to win” to “Jump in and try to survive” which worked out, well, at least most of the times. We also discovered a new mini game, “Snipe out the legendary bearer” which was fun, so if you own a legendary, watch out ^^.

Funny how all the accusations are the same, only the server is exchangeable. Maybe the truth is that every server blobs, every server cheats and every server hides from time to times. Imo Arenanet is very lucky that WvW players seem to be different than SPvP players. WvW players are so busy accusing each other, maybe this time would be better invested in demanding bug fixes, performance improvements and new features from Arenanet for the game mode we are all so excited about. With that said, we are all in the same boat, respect yourself, respect your enemy.

First let me say that I’m an MLG top 5 community relations rep. I’ve been leaving concerned gamers hangin’ on forums by 360 no scope banning scrubs that ask difficult questions for years. Thats just how my company rolls.

So I was out on the gw2 forums just headshotting down posters by ignoring everything they say and empty quoting the ToS when I ran into DevonCarver and it was just ridiculous. Way too much logic and communication going on. I could do it if I wanted to, but in the pro MLG community relations circuit, this is something you just don’t do. Corporate silence on difficult issues is the tank/heal/dps trinity of the PR department. It has worked since the beginning of public relations so why Arena.net gotta go and screw it up now?

Clearly some balancing is in order so I propose the following solutions:

1) Nerf DevonCarver’s salary by 50%. Its way too high right now and makes him think like hes gotta do his job properly or something. This is unacceptable. If everyone in the sector has to compete with DevonCarver’s +liked post count, Gameforge, Blizzard and all those other major league community reps would be out of work. Their bosses all gonna insist on having one on the team. The competitive scene would be DEAD.

2) 24 hour internal cooldown on +liking posts made by DevonCarver. The lack of a cooldown is what lets him stack personality until he resembles a person rather than a faceless corporate suit. It took alot of work to be a pro faceless corporate suit, so to see some random bi-winning by doing the exact opposite is not acceptable.

If these issues aren’t fixed promptly I don’t think theres much left for me in the hospitality sector. I’m already thinking of taking my company into a different service industry like catering but I’ll have to do this if Arena.net keeps buffing DevonCarver. Seriously, who thought this was a good idea?

WTB Arrow Carts in PvE, maybe my ranger will be useful? Hell I should just duct-tape an arrow cart to his back.

Your post made my laugh so hard. I was looking for some tpvp streams last night and found your “WvW T1” stream so decided to take a look. What I found was a party of 3 thieves and 2 mesmers ganking solos. So yeah, everyone knows tysim’s tactics, don’t worry about that.

About the OP…errr uhmmm, I’ll just say, every player dueling at WvW knows that there’s a high chance that the duel gets interrumpted by people trying to help, but mostly by people looking for free badges, and it’s part of the fun.

You wanna play WvW “the way it’s meant to”? So what are you doing behind the windmill killing people who aren’t doing anything productive? Hurry up man, go scort some yaks, run some supply to siege up a tower, sweep a keep for mesmers and buy some upgrades later, or just follow your commander and be a good soldier, don’t waste a spot in WvW killing random enemies at random places, you are not contributing to your server, and Anet may ban you for that.

I paid for my game, ya didnt buy it for me.
I will let the enemy kill everyone from my server if I please, while running around in my social clothes laughing and waving, if I please.
I make my own rules, not the other players.
If ya have a problem with people playing in a way, ya dont approve of, then to bad.

What happen here is they upgrade all class. So nothing special. What I got is a heartache, disappointed and jealous to other class. I W8 this for to long hoping that ranger will have advantage to other but its like nothing.

Man, I’m so happy this guy pointed out how amazing our damage is, We can now drop our Bunker and Trap builds and spec Longbow with Glass Cannon for extreme pwnage.

Soooo many people disillusioned with the Ranger… So very depressing. But you know what? Still my favorite class. No one likes longbow, its a ‘utility weapon’…

Dev’s say the Longbow is a good damage dealing weapon and you know what? They are right. Good lord are they right. I reliably hit 10k DAMAGE on my Rapidfire against all but those with either protection or are built full bunker. My auto attacks land for between 900 on a non crit to 2.5k on a crit. Thats not the tool-tip, that is the number popping up on the screen. Did you know Rangers are the class that can reach the highest amount of Attack in the game? My ranger has 4k attack BEFORE MIGHT, 47% crit (with fury on) 77%crit damage 2.2k armor and 20k HP. And I don’t have full set ascended trinkets yet.

Please stop crying about how underpowered the ranger is. It would be nice to get some updates or buffs on the pet, and the utility skills, but we are NOT lacking for damage. Have some candy and suck it up butterball: 4k Attack Longbow Ranger

That was one of the main disappointments (if not THE main disappointment) I had when GW2 was released. Even before the game was out, I was planning on using a ranger with a rainbow jelly as my main. Then the game released, and it was a normal jellyfish. I was so sad…

This is the concept art of the Rainbow Jellyfish that was promised by ArenaNet to the people who unlocked it through their HoM. You might want to use that for guidelines on how it should have looked.

Yes, this is TOTALLY what the ranger needs.

Not fixing their horrid trait lines, not improving pet AI, not making utility skills actually bring some UTILITY in a team, no, what rangers really need is a fix for the rainbow freaking jellyfish texture.

Rangers in PvE are great. Until I reached lvl 80, I died just once or twice while fighting for a Skill Point and I still dare to battle with a Champion alone (if he is also alone, without helpers). Takes a lot of time, of course, but still a win situation.

In WvW the ranger is a class for surviving. Not attacking, move the battle forward. Just for survive. I get bags, but just because of my zerg is in front of me and I use barrage (barrage deals little damage on many people, so perfect for bag claiming.)

It’s boring. Of course I have the option to get in the middle of the battle, enjoying the fight, but that means instant death. When we have to defend some walls, that’s a little bit better, but only if the battle is at the foot of the walls.

On the last occasion I encountered with a thief (1v1). Literally, all of my skills were on cool down. He went invisible, my pet went useless (as always in WvW). In 4 (!) seconds time I was dead. He was on full health.

Yeah, I hope you’ll buff thieves more as you claimed, thus give me reason to go for an other MMO and advance there slowly. I love this game, but just in PvE. It took me half a year to reach 75% world completion, so I barely have time to play. And that’s why I won’t start an other class, because it would take an other two month to get lvl 80. And those two months could be spent elsewhere also.

Don’t get me wrong, I love those fights which are really fights. I mean when we both get damage from each other, we are struggling for our life, get healed in the last second and after a half minute one of us will die. If the fight was good, I say s/he deserves my wvw coin. That’s fun.

But after a half year of training, getting gears, calculating stats on my own, collecting and choosing the best pet, I’m not even able to damage an opponent… You must be kidding.
