I know I wouldn’t be playing GW2 if they had made it more like GW1. I also know my friends and I have put in hundreds more hours into GW2 than GW1.
I will say that GW1 clearly had superior competitive PvP at this point, I hope GW2 can do something about that. It seems like it might have been better to launch with any sPvP content and had it held off until they could bring it in fully supported.
“Most of the legendaries are updated to have bigger footsteps and flashier effects.”
The footsteps are the thing I hate most, not just about legendary, but that is the thing I dislike mostly in the entire game lol =|

Do you love WvW?
Do you want to show everyone your world is truly the best of them all?
Then you should watch or attend the Guild Wars 2 Anniversary Bash Panel for a special WvW announcement that we are extremely excited about. The panel will be live-streamed and I’ll be leading the whole thing off with some very cool WvW news. Don’t miss it!
Whats worse is the charrzooka rifle is bigger than the charzooka elite lol, or last time I looked it was. But yeah, I was expecting it to be an big over the sholder launcher from the art way back in beta but then got the ability and was sad, but oh well its still fun to play around with I guess.

Bleh. Human Warriors. BORING!

As everyone who has played charr knows that just about every helm doesn’t even look good on charr, except for some cultural helms/dungeon helms and VERY few crafted helms. And Id like to point out the radiant helm for charr first because it completely covers up the horns and hair on my charr at least. then you’ll see some other helms that are kinda “bleh” in my opinion.
Hello! I would have put this in a thread from 3 days ago but it’s been locked already, however I have a similar issue – all of a sudden the client says my account has been suspended for 72 by reason of an unacceptable name.
This has not happened to me before and I was under the impression that first-time infractions in such a case would result in a request to change it before a ban happens.
As it stands now, I don’t even know what character was deemed offensive – however, the one I played on earlier tonight (and have had for months) has “svart” as part of the name, which is swedish for “black” and is a reference to her hair color and clothes. Possibly that could be construed as something racially inappropriate, but it was picked with no intended malice and I’d have no problem changing the name of any of my toons. I always try to be respectful when naming them, and have had no problems with any MMO during the 6 years I’ve played them.
If this is a human error or a glitch it is understandable and easily fixable, and if I truly have offended anyone I am sorry – it has never been my intention and if it was any other character than the one mentioned above it must stem from ignorance of slang terms – english is not my first language and even though I’ve studied it I’m mostly familiar with the formal way of writing it.
I have written to support about it but I’m not sure I went about it correctly, so I’m posting here as well just in case. Just hoping for a chance to change it, as I understand that’s the usual procedure.
All the best and keep up the good work! The customer service I’ve seen in various threads seems speedy, fair and courteous, and I got almost instant help when I needed my GW1 character’s name in order to log back in and link the accounts. Thanks for that!

You should have seen it before they nerfed it
Believe it or not, it used to be a lot worse. I completed Orr mostly solo a very long time ago and because of that I rarely return. At least now the mobs aren’t as dense as they used to be.
A few trips to help clear temples or a farming run with the guild, is about all that will bring me back. GL

Can you believe it’s been 1 year?! Congrats ArenaNet! With fractals, living story and new additions you made this an awesome year of gaming with NO monthly fee!
I wanted to reserve a spot on the forums just to say a big big big THANK YOU to ArenaNet for their hard work and dedication to the game
What has been your favourite addition?
Wonder why we haven’t heard a single thing about her before now.
So, people shout about how this should be in-game.
HOW would this be in-game?
The only one that could tell us all this would be Scarlet (if she even can due to the experiment) and I have rather major doubts she would tell us.
You know the cutscene with Lord Faren they could just make scenes like that that change as a story gets told to the player. We could of traveled all around the world to each one of her mentors learning a different part of her story. Would get us to travel around meet new characters and provide the actual story of the living story.

Great read. Thanks for the link.
I really wish they would just have a separate area for the short stories. It would be nice to find them quickly instead of digging through the news feed.
80 ~Warrior~ Delvoire | 80 ~Ele~ Azalea Avenir
80 ~ Guardian~ Rag Nor | Server ~ FA
Now this is actually interesting. I like the notion that Scarlet rejects the deterministic notions of the Pale Tree, but still it leaves a lot of her actual motives unclear.
But I have to wonder, why none of this is told to us in-game? Scarlet could actually be an interesting character if you’d constructed her backstory using all you have written in that short story via dialogue and in-game text. This is the kind of exposition we need for the storyline, if we are meant to enjoy it.

The Living Story is littered with female empowerment plots, unfortunately one of the most commonly used ones is the poor portrayal of male characters as a mechanism to make the females look good. I like it when stories have powerful female characters, but I resent when it’s done at the expense of male characters.
For two thousand years a book with male empowerment plots has dominated our culture. Now there’s a story with a few females in the lead, and suddenly all hell breaks loose?
You only perceive it to be that way because you’re not used to females in power, neither in stories nor in real life. Magnus is the leader of LA, and last time I checked he was still male. A lot of dungeon bosses are males (eg Adelbern). The entire Sons of Svanir plot revolves around male empowerment. Where were you with the personal story being all about males succeeding? The dungeon story is about destiny’s edge and that’s mostly about Rytlock and Logan reconciling. Logan looks far more masculine in that story while Caithe is the love sick girl. Did I hear you complain back then?
Just cherry picking a few in the Living Story doesn’t make this a bad thing. Maybe the next plot is all about a man rescuing an 8 bit princess in distress. I’m waiting for your thread complaining about that story having male supremacy themes.

except your wrong. beyond a point the enemies just get tougher without increasing in number. and that point is pretty low. and really we’re only talking about Aetherblades.
++ scaling doesnt increase the number of molten alliance and has little effect on twisted

I have no idea why people play with the mystic toilet like this. It’s broken.
1: Because it obviously takes alot of effort to make those kinds of cutscenes.
2: I disagree. I’m glad they’ve started making the cutscenes this way instead of the boring “2 characters facing each other while talking, phasing in and out when a third character shows up”-kind of cutscene. The cutscene was pretty cool imo.
Hello everybody. We are already aware of the issue and working on it. Thank you for your patience. As we already have a thread about this topic in the Gamebugs-Area, we have decided to close this one.

I had a bad feeling when they introduced the Wallet, so I used all my jugs right after — as it turned out, my hunch was correct.
Full set of 5 unique skills for both dual-wield weapon sets: P/P and D/D – Make it happen
PvE – DD/CS/AC – If that didn’t work, roll a Reaper or Revenant.
That stuff is so useless most people don’t even wait for buffs to open it anymore.

Well, I suppose they at least did better than throwing cat heads on human bodies. If only the Elder Scrolls developers weren’t that lazy.
Old article but still relavent:

So they are disappointed that more people roll human rather than say, Charr or Asura.
Couldn’t possibly be because the armor issue. Oh no no.
