Will you also be adding the missing aura’s to HoT, and give us another way of obtaining the invisible footwear (through crafting with invisible scraps dropped from invisible creatures maybe)?
Also a permanent account wide speedboost through masteries so that people don’t have to equip special inferior runes or waste a skillslot just for the extra speed?

The pact mastery speed boost already exists, they could (and should) make it apply in all PVE maps instead of only in cities.

This release will include the promised fix to AB multi-looting. The fix is simple: you can loot each of the great and grand chests once each time you complete the meta, once per map cycle.
[…]

My only question is: what happens if you disconnect and can’t go back to your map?

Will you be able to go to the entrance of the basement in the other instance, talk with a tarnished Exalted there and still get in to open the chests you earned?

Because we could really use that for some maps that spawn chests as you participate since these maps won’t save your spot and you often can’t go back after disconnecting.

[…]
This release will also include a new, challenging group-farming spot for leather.
[…]

Aw…

I was hoping for cloth and leather nodes to be added to enemy camps like an inquest lab or a flame legion settlement so you could cut their leather racks and clotheslines with a harvesting tool like in WvW.

How does everyone feel about Sylvari now?

People who hate Sylvari just because they were supposed to be dragon minions are lame. If you played the HoT storyline you should know that Mordremoth can only control weak Sylvari. Our characters, the playable Sylvari are strong, we fought for our independence and defeated Mordremoth because we did not agree with his goals. We are not dragon minions because he does not control us, he never did. The weak, corrupted Sylvari are dead. Now go have fun with your overrated, generic looking Human characters and leave the Sylvari alone.

I’m still not the biggest fan, and HoT really cemented that idea in. In all honesty the writing for them has been very wonky at times. The novels and the pre-launch GW2 background lore stories sometimes showed a very different side of the Sylvari then what we got in game. Once we got to Scarlet and Mordremoth, things even went further down hill. However there might be something down the line that could completely changes my mind. Like there might be even more to the Sylvari race beyond Mordremoth, which could correct some of those issues. We just have to wait and see.

All the mordrem mean is that sylvari, same as every other race, are susceptible to corruption.

We had dragon minions of every race from multiple dragons in the past, where Sylvari were thought to be immune. Mordemoth just had a different method of corruption (through the dream). Many sylvari were able to resist the call, so I see no reason why they should be looked upon any differently than the other races

Under the bus

Nightmare Court, Pale Tree, Soundless, Caithe, Malyck, and even my main character tossed under the bus. Even Sylvari hate Sylvari as a Sylvari main should understand Caithe or have visited the Pale tree. Instead their a piniata for random characters they know nothing about since they were in that coma after Zhatian and awoke to a bunch of ransoms.

Does anyone (apart from the PC and his team) know that she knew?

There might not be a hard proof, but the fact that sylvari were Mordremoth children is out. Even if Pale Tree were to claim ignorance, most would at least have their doubts. Many would be sure she knew, and some might even think she was a willing accomplice.
Seriously, by now even sylvari themselves might not believe she didn’t know a thing (Nightmare court is likely to gain in popularity now).

And, unfortunately, her withholding that information did cause a lot of casualties. And the rulers of other races (with the possible exception of Norns, that do not operate that way) will have a really good reason to blame her for it.
Shw could have avoided the whole mess if she only were a little bit more forthcoming. And the fact that she was somehow considered really trustworthy up until that point is only going to make the negative impact worse.

Actions, not words.

In no particular order:

1. Their wannabe overlord is very, very dead, and he took several legendary heroes (including the first of the firstborn) with him.

2. The people on the ground saw that everyone is one blighting pod away from being a minion, zombie minion, or zombie minion template, which kind of takes the wind out of the sails of anti-sylvari sentiment.

3. It’s an open secret among the asura that some of their own cheerfully vivisected the first- and secondborn, with no followup or consequences of any kind, so I’m sure they don’t want to go pointing fingers… or have such a different understanding of racial identity it doesn’t even occur to them to do so.

4. Those sylvari who didn’t cave right away immediately organized themselves into mutual-monitoring-and-euthanasia squads, which was a pretty good demonstration that they took the problem seriously.

5. The charr and norn despise weakness and respect strength; any sylvari who clearly had a firm grip on reality would shortly be alright by them.

That leaves the humans to be convinced by 1, 2, and 4. I don’t think it’s a stretch for things to return to a rough status quo.

How about simply giving players an option to “mute special sound effects on weapons” as a checkbox option in sounds? I love the look of The Dreamer, and while I wouldn’t say it breaks my immersion it does get annoying after a few minutes.. Same goes for Quip.

They could associate the weapons sounds with player instruments. We DID get a control for that.

Aside from that, “I know your face from my dream.” . . . Alas, I listen to iHeart and mostly mute the wonderful music in GW.

When TWO Dreamer owners follow you around for 5 minutes constantly spamming their horrible noise after you DARED to complain about the Dreamer noise in map chat, yeah it’s definitely a troll weapon that needs a mute button.

Kids and their care-bear modern gaming and AI controlled teammates that play the game for em’ can’t handle the fine tuned pristine difficulty of the NES. Their complaining may sound like cats on a chalk board but I wouldn’t compare it to the dreamer.

Mesmers exist and the dreamer, moot, quip, and so forth all scream mesmer to me even if mesmer can only use the Quip. Not the real Mesmer from Gw1 that had many darker mental shattering and nightmarish skills but the softer modern Mesmer of butterflies and flashy pink lights.

So it fits more in the game then lets say maybe Frostfang which I do count as a joke weapon compared to Astralaria. Your weilding a minion of Jormag after all and not being corrupted by it more so no one cares your swinging around a living corrupted dragon head as a weapon going through crowds and towns with something that should curropt them all.

I’d like you to think about adding skin pieces that were available in the Gem Store before Wardrobe feature landed in game and which later were (sadly) turned into clothing-tonics, in form of full outfits – slightly altered or as these are working now.

The main reason would be expanding Fashion Wars and bringing back skins maybe even changed a bit, that’s of course up to you, that people liked but now they can’t use because clothing-tonics doesn’t allow to use weapon skills.

Personally, I’d like to see hoods on our characters with khaki shorts; if I’m not mistaken some NPCs on Ember Bay are already wearing those

No matter how ugly you think something is, a bunch of other players will love it. (And no matter how much you love a skin, a bunch will hate it.)

So maybe just ask for the thing you want — make it easy on ANet to know what you’d like to see return.

So what is exactly your point here? To make fun of people that are being shunned for no real reason? Dude people like you are the reason this topic exists in the first place. If you really see nothing wrong with your sentiment then find keep being an elitist. But I’d rather have less skilled parties that want to help each other then people who think they’re better then everyone else cause of ap or skill.

I like to enjoy my runs not feel like if I mess up even ounce I’ll have people belittling me for it. While that doesn’t happen a lot in gw2, those kind of groups that have those ‘requirements’ for parties normally jump on people so quick and more then half the time they’re only slightly better when it’s all said and done then a pug group that barely talks. If that’s your thing then fine, go do what suits you but don’t make fun of others for choosing something more laid back and fun. You know to enjoy the game we’re playing.

Ignore the taunts, and have fun as best you can! I play ranged on my main 100% of the time, and I am only a few days away from the 15,000 AP mark. I don’t have much trouble completing anything in-game solo; at least, not anything I am interested in.

Of course, I don’t really participate much in PvP, so maybe that’s where you are concentrating your efforts, and where all the remarks are coming from. If that is the case, I guess just keep practicing, and keep map chat and /say turned off?

Good luck.

Just play to have fun. Skill comes with time. However, if you want to run with strangers in dungeons, and they expect all party members to be able to hold their own, you shouldn’t feel bad if they kick you. It’s nothing personal. Some players want to be able to speed through content with experiences players. Same holds true for PvP.

Reading guides is helpful to get effective builds. The next step is to learn to use those builds to the best efficiency possible.

Continue to play the way you want. Granted, there are ways that are more efficient, that is the key word here efficient, but not the only way of doing things. I run dungeons all the time with my guild and their are no right way or wrong way to play (suggestions are made but don’t have to be followed unless it has to be done a certain way so the whole group doesn’t die)

What I would tell you in find a good PvE guild on your server, and just have fun. There are no bad players (if your trying) there is only less skilled players.

So, in the forums, I see cries of “Learn to play” (though not directed at me) and have gotten ranted at by someone for only having “2k+ AP” (when they joined my instance when I asked for help — besides, I was proud that I just hit the 2k AP mark that day).

I know my reflexes aren’t as good as some. I do read guides, though many make a lot of assumptions and are written in such a way that they are hard to understand unless you already know what they are trying to do. I do attempt to active dodge, but I make mistakes.

However, a lot of advice that I see just ends up getting me killed because I don’t have he reflexes to pull it off. For example, ranged weapons may do less damage, but they keep me alive. Still, I get told that I should never use a ranged weapon (though I do agree that a guardian really needs to be melee, but I consider that a special case). Also, I get laughed at when I don’t do ranged either, so I can’t win.

So, it seems like everyone wants a game that wants player skill but complain about the players that aren’t as good and can’t compensate with better equipment.

At least you can’t say I’m not trying, but what’s a bad player to do?
