I just want more options. 100 gem Increments PLEASE. I often only need 100 or 200 more gems for something I want in the store. Having to earn significantly MORE money and have useless left over gems is not my idea of a good plan. I don’t mind the change overall I actually like seen the numbers out right so I know exactly what I am spending, but I would love more options.

I Plan On Burnin Through Another 9 Lives”

Norn Guardian – Aurora Lustyr (Lv 80)
Mia A Shadows Glow – Human Thief (Lv 80)
I’ve been looking for this post because I wanted to post much the same. My thoughts are as follows.
1) Revert to old system.
Failing this, there are some others.
2) Add more increment options, 100, 200, and 600, for Gold to Gems,
3) Add a slider with small increments, around 25 gems, for Gems to gold.
3)Add a way to bring up the old system while keeping the new system there.
Since I don’t buy gems to turn into gold, I have no opinions on outlooks on that side. Only Gold to Gems.
Details for people that aren’t able to play right now please.
This is the new Exchange UI; you can’t put in a custom amount anymore, you can’t see how much gold you get for 100 gems (because you have to at minimum trade 400 gems now). There are also no more charts that show the history of prices over the past 1-2 weeks.

Anet, I love you, but you treat your customers like children.
Oh hum. So strange. I don’t mind the simplification but the amounts are very odd. =/ There should be a 100gem increment at least.

I’m confused on what you are talking about? Could you elaborate please? I bought Gems the other day and it was the same options its been?

How many people from the GW1 Team/Original GW2 Team are actually left after 2 years? Would be nice if Anet could give us a little overview about their current and original team.
I propose that ANet change the following items from Gear to Skins:
- Cultural Armor
- Cultural Weapons (sold by NPCs)
- Pact Weapons
- Underwater Helmet
Anyone who can afford T3 Cultural Armor can easily afford to outfit themselves in Exotics (if not Ascended), so almost the entire value from the purchase comes from unlocking the skins. That leaves one with some horribly expensive rare item that has little use, except to resell to vendor. To actually use the skins, a player must spend again, using up transmutation charges. Instead, take advantage of the Wardrobe and turn these into skins that can be used once for free (perhaps discounting them by the modest resell value).
Similarly, most people buy T3 Cultural Weapons or who end up with more than 1 Pact weapon are interested in the skin, not the actual weapon. And again, you have to pay twice: karma to get the weapon and a transmutation charge for applying the skin. This is another opportunity to simplify the process.
Finally, there’s no value to the player in underwater breathers except for the skin:
- Characters can breathe underwater without one equipped.
- The current system forces players to have a 7th armor piece, which has substandard stats.
- It also requires purchasing a 7th rune, which cannot be recovered, since karma armor cannot be salvaged.
- The selection of breather skins and stats is extremely limited to fine and masterwork with one choice every 5-10 levels.
Making this a skin-only choice would simplify the requirements for gearing up for underwater combat, remove an extremely annoying mechanic, and (I suspect) open up options for the Devs in terms of future changes to underwater combat.

Pretty much the summary of GW2 actually :-/
I want Lions Arch back, definitely. I’m sick of sitting on piles of rubbish and not beeing able to speed up the rebuilding process. Orr has enough ruins of a great past.

I say no to rebuilding of towns. Why? Cause, think about, new players will never get to experiance LA like the vets did. We, (the vets), were part of the living story. The history of tyria.
New players will ask, " what was lions arch?" And we shall reply, “the greatest meeting spot where countless Legendary heros stood around for hours doing nothing, watching the mystic toilet crush people’s dreams!”
But seriously, I like being a part of history new players will never get a chance to experiance. If towns get destroyed, then so be it. We were there for it, in Tyrias history books.
Exactly. And it’s not just the vet players that benefit but the new ones as well. They may not have been here for Lion’s Arch or Prosperity or what have you, but that just means they’ll have a chance to make their own story in the future. Forge their own experiences unique to them. That’s part of the fun of history and while I’m sad that I missed Lion’s Arch it’s also amazing to me to listen to older players talk about it and share their history of it with me. Same as it is IRL when you listen to someone older then you talk about the past.

Zarin Mistcloak(THF) Valkyrie Mistblade(WAR) Kossori Mistwalker(REV) Durendal Mistward(GRD)
I used to think (build op, pls nerf) like you, but then I took a nerf to the knee.
You know, I play this other, enormous MMO called Real Life. And every year the holiday events are pretty much the same. There is this big one in the Winter called Christmas and every year we do the exact same things to prepare for the festivities and pretty much the same things over the few days the main event lasts. The rewards, a.k.a. presents, are usually not all the same as previous year, but some may be.
It is called tradition to do things the same way to celebrate the same thing year after year.
Just an idea, how about selling "class change scroll in the cashshop or black lion market w/e you wana call it. A scroll where once you purchase it allows you to change yur current class? Character lvl and trait lvls stay the same cept the corrresponding class skills change and the actual traits themselfs ofc. Just a thought. im sure alota ppl wna play a new class but dnt wan redisc the whole world etc etc.
Oh, on topic…
Dr. Strange — I’m going to ask about the mechanics. There might be a reason for this, but I’m just not sure. (If someone else comes up with a likely explanation, please feel free to post! Otherwise, I’ll see if I can find out why it’s working as it does, and if it is working as intended.)

I am horrified by this news, and had no idea that this was going on.
Oh the humani…. quagganity!
I really am fighting not to create a thread about flying bunnies.
On a serious note it is Saturday, hope you are being paid no matter how much you enjoy what you do.
Speculative posts about flying bunnies will be smited at my first opportunity with untold and horrific consequences. (You don’t want to even think about what that might mean!
)
Yes, it’s Saturday. Not I’m not on the clock. Don’t worry, I won’t spend my entire weekend here, but I like to try to keep up with things a bit on the weekends and after all, this is a pretty good crowd to hang out with.

This thread is so full of win. XD
So were these the only parts that were considered to be bugs?
besides the ones already fixed of course.
Nah. That’s what the “other aspects are being considered” means. The team is open to suggestions. From what I understand, this should not be considered a final list.
Thanks for asking.

The devs have been reviewing your feedback on the New Player Experience. While some bug fixes have already been made, the team will be making other updates in the future to address:
- Plot holes and story inconsistencies that may have been introduced with story realignment
- Replacing the missing profession mechanics UI for the Ranger and Mesmer professions
- Investigating issues that prevent players from retaining some skills (heal, utility, and elite) that they had previously unlocked
- Addressing an issue with bundles that prematurely unlocked utility and elite skills
Other aspects of the NPE are being examined, and your constructive feedback is welcome and appreciated.

See? That’s the kind of feed back we want from you.
You’re restoring our faith <3
Right? This would solve that problem also.
