Daily kill variety for people who are Only into WvW and to give teh sense the world is alive, is my guess.
Removing the stat bonuses to ascended items.
Period. Isn’t that what the majority of us wants? So people still do not need to feel inferiour anywhere else in the game, and the people who want to do that dungeon (and any dungeon that comes from here on) which requires a specific resistance to a environmental mechanic in there, get their extra stuff. And this extra stuff is only specific for THIS dungeon. If you want to go to the next, you switch your infusion upgrade. I’m fine with the mechanic, apparently a lot of others are too.
But seriously, Arenanet? Remove the attribute bonuses and a lot of people WILL shut up. Right?

Has probably been mentioned a thousand times, this feature was in GW1 – why not GW2 ? Is it that hard to implement ?
The Problem: I am the type of player who really enjoys collecting things in games, especially MMOs. After taking a look at the PvP Lockers I was excited at how easy it was to collect and organize all of your skins. Unfortunately, there is no equivalent for PvE so collecting skins is much more difficult. There is no good way to organize your skin collection, it eats up a TON of bank space, and you lose a skin every single time you transmute an item. Simply adding new PvE collection tabs for the various weapons/armor like in PvP could work, but I have a better idea.
The Solution: Skin Extractor Kits and a Skin Vendor. The Skin Extractor Kits would be purchased with gems, obtained from Black Lion Chests, or earned from daily/monthly achievements much in the same way as other items such as the Black Lion Salvage Kits. This special extractor kit would let you save the skin from an item for your character. So what happens when you save a skin? That’s what the Skin Vendor is for.
EDIT: Alternately, as stated below, the “Skin Extractor” could be a “Skin Salvage Kit” that destroys the item in the process so you can’t simply use an extractor then sell/salvage the armor or something to earn money off it after taking the skin.
The Skin Vendor (who could be located in your home instance, since we need more reasons to visit these) would simply give you free items with the skins that you have unlocked (similar to the Hall of Monuments vendor). These items would have no stats, just a generic item for the skin only. You could get any number of these (which would be soulbound, have no value, and be unable to be forged) and use a transmutation stone to apply the skin to any item you wanted.
Why This Works: Collectors are able to then have a good way to collect skins without too much hassle. They are automatically stored once extracted so no need to fill up the entire bank. You don’t lose a skin every time you want to use another one, so you can swap skins without worrying about losing one you like.
This also increases the amount of money to ArenaNet in two ways as well. People will be more likely to use transmutation stones (which are still required for the items from the Skin Vendor) to change their appearance knowing they are not losing any skins. In addition the collectors who want this convenience will pay for the Extractor Kits as well.
Example: I purchase the full Citadel of Flame armor set. I purchase a Skin Extractor from the Gem Store. I use the Skin Extractor on each piece of the Citadel of Flame armor set. I then purchase the full Arah armor set and use a Skin Extractor on each piece.
Now I go to my home instance and find the Skin Vendor. He now has a full set of Citadel of Flame and a full set of Arah items with no stats. I can “purchase” (for free) these items. I buy the Arah head piece. I then use a transmutation stone to transmute the skin from the no-stats skin item onto my current exotic head piece. Later on I decide I want to change my looks so I go back to this vendor and “purchase” the Citadel of Flame head piece. I then use a transmutation stone to transmute that onto the same headpiece as before, replacing my Arah appearance with the Citadel of Flame appearance. Since the Arah headpiece skin is still saved I don’t have to worry that transmuting over it will replace it (which would force me to go run Arah for enough tokens to buy it all over again), I can just go back to the skin vendor and get another copy and then use another transmutation stone (again, more money for ANet here, more convenience for me).
What do you guys think?
EDIT: Since it is a concern of some people that gear/money is not removed from the system this way the “Skin Extractor” could instead be a “Skin Salvage Kit” that destroys the item to permanently save the skin for you instead.

On Monday, I did the jump puzzle and was unable to open the vault. I have since tried each day this week, and it will not respond. I have also stood by the door with others who could not open it.
I was just waiting for a server reset to fix it, but after going in this morning, it is still bugged. At first I thought that maybe it was because I had “old” key halves, but as I was contemplating chucking the key halves and re-doing the jumping puzzle, another person ran up who had just gotten them and it wound’t open for them either.
I am on Henge of Denravi server, but I saw a few posts in the WvW sub-forum stating that some other servers were having the same problem…It seems like more of a “bug” issue than a WvW one, so I put it here. Anyone else confirm here that it is or is not working for them?
It get much much better.
1. Make sure Map and Team are turned on in your chat window.
2. Read. Follow orders.
3. Get Team Speak if you really want to play.
4. Instant fun.
Hang way back at first and watch. The battle moves. Literally moves and you have to move with it. Make sure you know where the edges are. You will get flanked if you don’t. Watch out for easy routes to your back, or obstacles people can sneak behind (or under).
Learn about supply, blueprints and how to build stuff.
Ask questions.

1. Roll with a guild. I tell all the solo players I see this is a game called Guild Wars. Right now my server is getting beaten very badly. Yet when 10 of my guild mates and I get together we can start to control section of the map.
2. Get in voice chat. Dirty jokes really help take up the moments running to and from battles.
3. Understand that their are certain strategic elements to WvW that require long runs so reinforcements arent instant. Even in SPvP there is count dont on returning to fights.
4. No need to pay for siege upgrades, or anything that will help you keep point! You WANT the enemy to take points so you can take them back!
This mentality is what killed Warhammer…
despite the invisible opposition WvW is a blast, I have no idea what everyone else wants from it.
It seems that people are too worried about the score. Ignore that ticking counter its a load of rubbish anyway, look at what keeps you have when your guild goes into the lake. look at what you have when you guys leave and smile to yourself at having had a fun night.

I think people are slowly starting to play for fun instead of outcome because nothing can be done aganst a server with more queue time then your own.
I think the key is to try and win the battles, don’t worry about the war.
I see oodles of people complaining about how hopeless WvW is.
“It’s hopeless because we got night-capped.”
Then when you get owned the server with the more rounded population will go up in the rankings. Just give it time.
“It’s hopeless because we’re outmanned constantly.”
(My server suffers from this, GoM, because all the fairweather players transferred off the first day of week long battles)
See above. Your server will eventually get knocked down a few pegs.

Again, rankings will balance out.
OVERALL I just have to say that regardless of the fact that my server gets pooped on due to being outmanned all the time, getting night-capped, and the fact that we get 2v1ed (Because some kittens on our server do that orb exploit, can’t blame the other servers for shutting us out before fighting each other)… I still have TONS of fun in WvW.
I made 3g and however much karma yesterday playing WvW. My guild and I just took supply camps and steam rolled enemies as long as they didn’t outnumber us more than 3:1. If they did outnumber us, we just walked away from the fight lol (As long as we were paying attention. I know my noob kitten got caught a few times XD)
Where’s the issue? Someone thinks they or a few people are super good and deserve to be higher in the rankings out of pride and complain when another server wins in points?

I can’t agree as a long time DAOC player. Jade Quarry has a large Daoc population and we have been growing the community and the cooperation that we did not see as much of in Daoc. Why? Cause in Daoc the more you rvr’d the more isolated you became into little cliches. What started as a great community and realm pride became diluted into a chase for the most spam, fast rr, and just general kill farming.
OOOH its population balance you want…well… go SPvP..8v8 thats balanced..
I agree no one likes running into a zerg but this IS WvWvW IT HAPPENS.. ITS NOT BALANCED or is it supposed to be… if your fielding a lesser army, dont expect to start taking high profile positions, get what you can, think outside the box. That’s why it’ll never be ‘balanced’ to encourage differing tactics.
Again still no problem.. except it doesnt suit YOU. any form of open warfare, be it W3 or RvR in warhammer or DAoC will NEVER EVER EVER be balanced. It’s the nature of the beast. There will be times your winning, times when your not, times when you field more ppl than the enemy, times when you dont and THAT, my friend, is what makes WvWvW exciting.

Why do you need to have your completion done right now? If my team cant take the buildings I need, well then I will wait till we either can, or there is a rotation in colors and I will grab them then. Waiting wont kill you.
When you transfer server’s you should be locked out of doing WvW for the duration of that match. You can join WvW the next week vs the new servers.

Think its ok that you can transfer but it should be at least 1week CD before you can do it again, prefebly 10-14days.
