They are in your inventory. You must first use them and then they get added to the wallet.

We must have different definitions of content; I personally don’t think that a laundry list of dry and tedious achievements tied to PvE zerg fests counts.
That being said, the Zephyr Sanctum update was awesome and I would love to see the Living Story go more in that direction rather than the Scarlet hoopla.
I dunno. Among those there was some nice content.
At any rate, I feel the quality improved as time went on (there was a vast improvement from the first LS patch the the more recent ones).
Dafq..has this been there since the start?
I feel dumb now. Thank you for pointing that option out really.

My made up quote from the dev blog tomorrow, “Here at ArenaNet we feel like all of these things in the feature pack going live on April 15th are all working together in a synergized fashion to give us the most solid foundation for our core game going forward. Now that all the building blocks are in place we can go ahead and announce the release of 5 new maps. 3 maps are for our level 80 players and 2 maps are for our ‘middle game’ and are in the level 40-60 range. These maps will open up season 2 along with our newest playable race: The Tengu.”
Who am I kidding. Everything besides the solid foundation for our core game will not be a part of the announcement to morrow :P
Now that karma has been nerfed to hell, they just need to make karma armor salvageable again. It would drastically decrease the price of linen and wool, allow runes to be salvaged, reduce the stockpile of karma people got before the nerfs and make karma a good currency. I can literally see no downside to this.
Will this feature patch allow us to carry over our PvP gear/looks to PvE and vice versa? Meaning I can bring the look /armor/weapons I use for PvP, over to PvE/WvW and vice versa? I know Anet mentioned it a lot BUT didn’t say if it will be coming for this patch?
To the devs who worked on Taimi, who wrote her and created and animated her model:
I want to thank you for Taimi. I live with multiple sclerosis, and while I was only diagnosed a handful of years ago and am looking forward to a future where I won’t be trapped in my own body, I value characters like Taimi more than you can know.
My greatest trouble spots are my legs, specifically the joints in my hips and knees. There are days that I wake up and I can’t get out of bed. I’m young (in my 20s) and I walk with a cane and have a handicapped tag for my car – and I get nasty looks from people all the time because I’m young and, clearly, I shouldn’t need a cane or a handicapped space. I’ll never forget the day a pregnant woman berated me outside a grocery store for taking the handicapped space she wanted.
When I play games, it’s usually as an escape. I like to imagine that I’m the perfectly healthy Commander Shepard, or some outrageously good looking Final Fantasy character on a quest to save the world with magic. Games take me out of my situation and, for a little while, allow me to be someone else. Maybe this is why I play a hyper-mobile d/d Elementalist.
But when you introduced Taimi, I was overjoyed. I didn’t play the Marionette weapon testing update, so I didn’t see Taimi until just recently when I was mucking around the refugee camp in Gendarran. The friend I was playing with pointed her out, and I think I shrieked loud enough to wake the dead.
I don’t know where you’re going with Taimi. But honestly I don’t care. Because now, in Tyria, I can imagine having a giant golem cart me around when I can’t feel my legs or when they hurt too badly to walk. Now when I get derisive or pitying looks, I can take a minute to imagine I’m sitting on a golem’s shoulder like a complete kitten.
So thank you for thinking of people like me. Thank you for thinking about how someone with a disability might get along in your world. And thank you for making her awesome.
Christina
PS Since I’m incapable of fanart of any kind to show my appreciation, I bake. If your office would like to receive a tupperware full of cookies, I’d like to bake them for you as a thank you.
They don’t have powers in game but they also have company resources out of game. Why are you surprised? They are at work. They can through company means (not through their character) take action against accounts they find breaking rules.
Edit spelling and grammar.

Because as of now, everyone just goes there and ignores the battlelands
really sucks to have 3 maps empty and everyone (as in all servers based on color) in the new map.
this ruined WvW. Everyone is now piled into a map smaller then EBL
How could you even think things would be different ? Its a New Map after a year and a half…wouldnt you have expected Everyone to try it out ? Thats just a no brainer.
In WvW, the right-click context menu that may be used for party invites and other social functions will now correctly show more options than just “report” while still restricting communication options with enemies.
Tears of joy.
You are going to be matched up with all servers of your colour that week.
You will have hundreds of allies but also hundreds of enemy players. The enemy players will try to kill you, because to them your a walking loot bag…no offence…I will be a walking loot bag to the other 2 enemy colours.
Its fun.
You may die a lot but you will eventually get your achievements done and who knows you may like it and have fun.
WvW players will have a advantage, as they will be used to the fighting in large zergs, also some are excellent at using siege weapons and they do not care about achievements or living story. So there main aim is to farm the enemy zergs for loot bags.
See you on the battlefield…
They would have to be careful on the loot in there, as it could be easy to exploit, 2 guilds who are friends go in and take turns in killing each other in the “casual WvW”
Just want to make a big shout out and big THANK YOU for this awesome content update. CANT WAIT!
Who Thinks this is going to be an amazing experience that might just be better than anything yet!?
PvP content FTW!
DAoC had a really great mechanic where the guild that claimed a keep or tower would get messages in guild chat when a guard near their tower was killed. The message looked like “a guard from your tower was killed with 25 enemies in the area” and showed up in guild chat even if you were in a PVE zone.
Defending in this game is NOT underpowered. It’s simply not rewarding, and so very few people are actually GOOD at it.
But the ability is there – some servers and guilds are extremely good at defending, knowing what siege to put down and where, and leaving people inside at all times.
But too often towers and keeps are left empty and without siege until they are being attacked, at which time it’s often too late.
If defending was more rewarding, the tools are already in place to be successful at it.
And why do we want achievement hunters in WvW???
(Don’t say for free kills, because even that is boring). I would prefer ANET not “force” people into WvW, just as I would prefer ANET not “force” PVE at me.
We don’t.
We want potential new WvW:ers. And this is a good way to get that.
There are quite a bit of people that had no plans to enter WvW because they have decided from the start that they won’t like it.
But then they actually tried and and started playing it regularly.
I don’t think it was done for any balance reason per se.
The obvious reason to change the way Critical-Damage works is because of scalability.
For future content, new levels and new gear you can’t have fixed % on gear. You need abstract numbers that are easier to scale.
WoW had the same problem in vanilla when their crit-chance was based on fixed-%. Obviously this doesn’t work well when you want to maintain the relative power of characters while still making them chase upgrades.
I’m not sure why ANet didn’t learn that from WoW in the first place.
Either way, the 10% nerf is probably just an attempt to reduce burst-damage that can be a tad excessive in this game. But it’s not the reason they changed the scaling of Crit-Damage.
If there is any indication then that they are future-proofing GW2 for future level-increases. So there you have it, we might yet see a new expansion.
No, the whole point of this is it is supposed to be a whole lot harder to attack a T3 keep than it is to defend it, and right now the way things are, there really is no defending it, unless you outnumber the attackers 3 to 1. If the attackers want to take out siege on the wall, make them build siege to do it, dont let a group eles or necros walk along the outside of the wall and prevent any posibility of defense
I’m okay with Living Story stuff in WvW, but it needs to have more of an impact or bring with it new mechanics for WvWers to use. I liked some of the Tower of Nightmares stuff in WvW because it was quite funny luring people into those spore clouds for some fabulous ganking, but why wasn’t this expanded upon? If we destroyed one of those giant seedlings in WvW we should have been able to collect spores that we could load into catas, trebs or mortars, so we could use that new pollen debuff offensively. That would have been fun and would have changed up WvW slightly for the duration of that LS content.
PPT.
From what I have seen is a server only starts to play “for fights only” when they are so badly beaten they don’t even want to try.
I think every server has commanders that have that for fights mentality. I miss the days when you were considered a bad commander for heading to the opposite side of the map to follow orange swords when you don’t even own the keep on your side of the map. Or when you see both server fighting in one corner of the map but not capitalize on it by capping stuff on the other side of the map.
You know, forcing the home bl server to fight 2v1.
However, you get a bunch of whiney servers getting beat so bad they start “playing for fights only” and scurtinize those who don’t (even though they are playing the game as intended). Thus promotes this “too cool for PPT” group because there will always be more losing servers than winning.
Funny how most people on these forums can’t comprehend players as being anything but one of two things:
1 – Soft, inexperienced players who only play PvE.
2 – Hardened, cool kids who only play PvP.
Such a false dichotomy…
For anyone who’s wondering exactly how matchups work in EOTM and how it might affect the populator of lower tier servers, here’s a quote from Devon from the beta forums (inaccessible now).
Greetings,
January 9th was the end of our public testing of the new Edge of the Mists Map. This was our first time inviting people to play a portion of our game in active development and without NDA restrictions. The people playing the map and providing their feedback helped us make several important decisions while allowing us to test the new content in as close to a live environment as possible. It is not an exaggeration to say we couldn’t have brought the map to the quality level it has reached without their help! To pull out a specific example, our original plan was for each matchup to have its own version of the new map. As we tested out the map with various numbers of players and spoke with the members of the test, it became clear to us that the ideal approach was to group all of the NA players into one group and all EU players into another: meaning that all NA blue worlds will fight side-by-side with each other on the blue Edge of the Mists team. These kinds of decisions, and others, were ones we couldn’t have come to without getting the map in front of the large number of players that we saw over the course of the test, and without your feedback on the official forum! When the Edge of the Mists does release, I hope everyone here is as excited to play a map that your fellow WvW players helped create as we are.
Cheers,
Devon Carver

It’s a bad thing because of the opportunity cost. All that dev time spent on EoTM could have been spent on WvW improvements that are far more important and urgent and a big sPvP-looking map.
I look at EotM as the thing they had to do first before they could even begin to touch any of the other major issues facing WvW. EotM gives ANET the freedom to try different stuff out in a WvW environment without breaking the entire game for those who were enjoying the current meta. Having a map to address the queue problem also allows for more of those long term game breaking issues like population balance and scoring to be addressed and hopefully lets them do so in a more creative fashion. I expect to see EotM used as both a testing ground and a 24/7 entertainment haven while the bigger problems get tinkered with on the other WvW maps.
Or they could just adjust it back down to 2 scraps = 1 bolt…
Just open up the gem store and your wallet and enjoy!
Makeover kits will allow you to change your hair style and/or ribbon color.
If you just want to change your hair then buy a self-style hair kit, they are cheaper.
Even if you could only guest to servers that you have friends on would probably not make a difference. Multi server guilds will still have friends on the server they want to guest to anyway
Here is a little secret. You get tons of them from WvW. Just follow the zerg and take keeps. Make sure you hit the champion keep lord for credit.
shame on me for staying in a weak WvW server
I totally need to either convert gold into 1800 gems or to pay X amount of real money for a transfer just so I can follow zergs and take keepsentirely my fault and not game issues
Don’t, good servers actually defend things. Back when Desolation had IRON guild I was lucky to cap a freaking camp, they had people defending everywhere.
Dragonite ore income from wvw sucks big time compared world bosses or temples. People that say otherwise either are the nightcap force of Vizunah or their matchup has some kind of silent agreement to run in circles to farm.
Do you want to get good people in LFG? Advertise it this way: path X NO rush (Looking for Good attitude and patient players).
Yes, they will be newbies in the dungeon. And yes, you’ll need to explain. And yes one more time, it will be long and not a rush run. But in exchange you will get a lot of fun, you will complete the dungeon without insults and the most important thing? You will make a bound and friends to team with for next runs or dungeons.
