I find it sad how rude the community on the forums is to the players who choose to play the game for achievements.
For WvW I would really like to see them drop when getting credit for keep/tower/camp take vs damage to the champion. If players are in a real battle when taking garrison for example with a lot of defenders, players need to go up on ramps to take out AC’s fight the defenders in all areas of the keep etc. meanwhile some players need to take down the Lord. Unfortunately only the players hitting the lord get the ore and stars
Everyone is needed for the full keep take, everyone should get the reward. May be a technical reason tying the drops to the Lord, but would be nice if all got rewarded for the hard (potentially) work
Ok, I have more than one entire week’s worth of glory boosters if I played 24 hours a day. And I keep getting them in mystery chests, black lion chests, and for daily and monthly rewards. If you’re going to phase out glory and we have to use them up, please stop hitting us with them. Oh yeah and achievement chests…
I got 11 of them just today from various chests.

I have a useful fix for this: change wins to matches played. Everyone will be happy.
Just two things:
“How do we build trebs in here”? – Asked during a Foefire map.
“Get off the treb, I have full treb mastery, I will cow them all down” – Battle of Kyhlo = kitten???
At least teach them something in the stupid tutorial, please Anet.

sorry i am not the brightest person, more need it bluntly said =P so basically ranks will be removed after X amount of months? a ladder would go for what like 6 months?
just be nice to have a rough idea to know if can pull off another 10 ranks before there removed.

well, i think some people who are halfway towards a new finisher may wanna try and see if they can make it.
for example,
some rank 25 – 29 players may wanna try for rank 30.
they may attempt to do so if they feel like the remaining time is enough.
for myself,
i am rank 31, so i might not bother to try to rush to rank 40.
however, if i see that there are still many, many months before rank is removed, i may plan accordingly and attempt to make a rush for rank 40.
Well in my opinion the fractal is fine. Interesting mechanics decent boss fight and about the right length for a fractal. I actually really enjoyed it, dunno what most people are complaining about.
People will say that everything is bad just because it happens to have Scarlet in it.
No matter how much sense it makes.
I bet people will even complain about Scarlet being part of the final confrontation with Scarlet.

Good News.
One suggestion I’d make would be to launch OAuth with only a small set of APIs behind them, preferrably ones that are on the less sensitive side of the scale. Then release additional APIs later as they are ready.
This would allow the community to get the libraries and implementations working and well understood, as well as working through any unforseen issues with the OAuth layer. (When does /anything/ ever work at scale the way it did on the drawing board?)
Should there be any issues with security, then the exposure would be limited.
Not to mention, it would help build and keep excitement up. The lull of late has likely dampened the mood of several developers.
Our OAuth2 implementation is basically complete. But we are awaiting actual APIs which take advantage of it before it is released. These APIs are in active development.

I wanted to let you all know about the progress we have been making on the new area in the Obsidian Sanctum jumping puzzle. We’ve been taking feedback and testing the area and we are planning to release the new version of the map in November, barring any unforeseen difficulties. The changes to the map will remove the Borderlands Bloodlust buff from players in the map and will introduce a brand new area of the map laid out for large player fights. We are also adding the map to the dropdown menu so that players will be more quickly able to enter the map from anywhere, without being required to load into Eternal Battlegrounds.
We hope these changes will create a better WvW experience for everyone while providing a space for players to explore the large scale fights that have organically grown up around the game.
I, personally, would like to give thanks to the WvW team which has done a ton of great work in a very short period of time to make this happen quickly and to accommodate the feedback we have received. We hope you enjoy the new space and thanks for playing!

To me, WvW is like a Realm vs Realm.
In Realm vs Realm, the PvP and the PvE are both parts of an overall competition between waring factions.
PvE in WvW need to be something that we compete against enemies for. Currently the only area we have for this is neutral factions, to gain weak npc units that dont really do much at all for an additional tactic.
I would like more PvPvE gameplay that actually fits into competition.
Something more interesting.
Also how about adding downed state to NPC in WvW as well to make it feel even more like PvPvE.
Thats a huge upgrade to the fun factor.
The Antitoxin Spray skill only heals allies that have torment, confusion, poison, or toxic pollen and it heals per each condition it removes. If your ally has only poison, it will heal them for less than it would heal an ally with all conditions. If none of the allies around you have any conditions on them, it will not heal any allies. It’s base healing only applies to the user of the skill.

If you’re not having fun, why are you doing the parts you find to be a chore?
I’m not thrilled that the best way to earn money at the moment seems to be champ farming, which I don’t do because I find it extremely tedious, but people are always going to find ways to min/max a system, whether or not it’s fun. There’s so much else to do in the game if I focus on what I find enjoyable. (Personal story, raising alts, most of the Living Story, world bosses, world exploration, etc.)
While I do think ascended crafting could stand to be less of a grind, I’m glad the stat increases are so low. As it is, it feels less like a requirement to stay relevant (which it would be if the boost were more substantial) and more like an optional long-term goal. You’re asking for “more than skins and jumping puzzles,” and a small stat increase is a way for some people to scratch that numerical progression itch without making it an absolute requirement for everyone else.
Make the Decay timer on Siege change color’s from blue to yellow to red when about to decay.

Hm, I count 19 achievements? You need 15. So I guess you can skip the jumping puzzles.
WvW is weird. There’s so many different ways to play it but I mean there aren’t many things you can give achievements for. I’m sure if you’re active for 7 weeks you’ll get it.
I’ve taken Stonemist 4 times in 14 months of WvW but have 4.9k objectives taken. The jump puzzles makes more sense for me than Stonemist does =P

Look at banners. Banner of Strength gives you +170 to Power and condition damage. Banner of defense gives you +170 Vitality and Toughness. Banner of Discipline dishes out more DPS than banner of strength does.
Are banners broken? Are people “too hard” to kill when they’re within banner range? I mean really now this is just getting silly.
The orb buff is not broken. Stop complaining about it.

Point stands. People are talking about the buff like it makes enemies into some kind of unstoppable killing machine. It doesn’t. If you’ve ever killed anyone who had banners down—or better yet, banners + divinity runes—then congratulations, you killed someone with a bigger stat buff than the orbs give.

My Main is a Necro, And I got all the permanent tools. I did buy gem using $ to get them.
If Molten Pickax can be reset back to inventory again without being soul bounded to my necro.
I will buy the bone pick without any hesitation!

As someone that roamed solo often, I find the new ruins too much like sPVP, a lot of the open field randomness, organic nature, and route running of how you roamed prior to the patch has been lost.
I.e. Do I hit this or that camp next, go after this yak or too dangerous. Hey there’s a zerg, better scout and tail them to notify my own team commander. Can I kill those 2 guys, one is underleveled, oh here comes 3 guys, better bail. It was an interesting cat and mouse. There was also less help around, committing was more lethal. Now its easy for people to stall out battles or escape into allies due to the central location.
The ruins are just like a big deathmatch area in the middle of the map, and while some want just the pure fighting only, the combined thinking about where to be on the map to best help your team that went into roaming is lessened.
If all people wanted was mindless preset point locations to fight over, the game already had that, hot-join sPVP.
You can still do it the old way I guess, but most of the other non-zerg players are just running into the middle over and over.
but isn’t this what WvW needed? everyone was complaining about zergs. now you’re complaining about lack of zergs.
it’s not a troll. im not at all noticing any huge imbalances due to bloodlust. in fact, you CANT notice any difference as it’s basically microscopic. im in JQ (third place atm) and we usually have 1 orb anyways.
Better get in touch with Nintendo and tell them all their mario kart short cuts were bugs/exploits all along :o

The problem is, there’s still PvE stuff to do in WvW. The jumping puzzle, world completion, gathering (can you find sugar pumpkins anywhere else in the game?), and even a ranger pet that can only be found there. This means that people with no interest in PvP will head in and be running around. Depending on the time of day, they may be displacing people who actually want to get in there and fight to win the WvW rewards.
I’m not sure how much of a difference the PvEers make when they take up player slots in WvW, or if it’s enough to matter. But with the stakes for winning at WvW going up, are we actually okay with this conflict? Is ANet?
One fact to ease your concerns: WvW IS PVE
…but the zergs can attack one another instead of only the NPC’s, only difference from normal Tyria maps!
So yeah, there may be a few more people than usual that decide to participate in the zerg vs zerg instead of just doing their daily JP – the more the merrier!
People get “misplaced” into overflows from people doing things other than the world mega bosses in a zone while the boss is active, really no difference.
