I say they should change it to 1,5 per point “Increased Brust effect”
Depending on the weapon your are yousing in mainhand with 30 points this will change to:
Sword/Longbow: 15% longer bleeding/burning duration
Axe/Rifle: 15% increased critchance
Hammer/Mace: 15% increased stunduration
Greatsword: 15% increased fury duration
We can all agree 3% damage bonus for F1 burst abilities is well, totally crap.
A lot of the changes so far revolve around either putting it back to 30% like it was in beta or making it some sort of cooldown reduction like ele attunements.
However, the warrior’s main weakness in s/tPVP has been condi removal and also fighting bunkers with easy access to boons.
What if both could be fixed with one change to this traitline.
At max, the discipline tree gives:
- 30% chance to shatter all boons on target and remove all conditions on self with burst ability
This would make adrenaline building and cooldown reduction of F1 ability both valuable, and make spending adrenaline much more attractive – all without making the warrior too guardian-like with regen and prot.
It would also make F1 an actual mechanic beyond just damage, and would apply evenly across all weapon types.

If Im not mistaken in the SOTG it was said that the elo rating would not be visible for players.
The devs said that they wanted the players to focus on playing and forget about ratings and “numbers” that distracted them from enjoying the game. However I think that the rating is a nice motivation to play and improve.
What are the community thoughts on this?
Do you like invisible ratings?
Right, hate to break it to you all but I’m no longer playing the game. I haven’t played properly for a month or so but have kept the thread up to date, but now it needs somebody to take over.
Once it has been decided amongst yourselves, you can just quote my posts to create a new thread. Report the new thread to the mod team and ask them to sticky it (and unsticky this one) – when I did it the mods responded within a couple of minutes.
Good luck getting the class bugs fixed – if you ever succeed I may just come back to the game.
From AMD to i7, maybe new GPU, need advice

Well even with the latest Intel processors, you aren’t going to get awesome frames in WvW. In the chaotic battles, with an overclock to 4.5Ghz, you’ll still only get 30 FPS. To some this is fine, to others its ridiculous that even the top end hardware available to consumers can’t pull more than 35 frames in the worst case scenario.
You can still stick with AMD if you aren’t fond of switching over to Intel. The FX 8350 overclocked to 4.5+Ghz can achieve close to the same performance in GW2 what an i5 3570K or i7 3770K overclocked to 4.5Ghz can do.
If you still want to go Intel, the i5 3570K is the most optimal CPU for GW2 on the Intel front due to the number of big threads GW2 uses and the price compared to the i7 variant. However, if you do video/audio encoding, the i7 3770K will be the better purchase.
I also don’t know if you want to wait for Intel’s new architecture, Haswell, to come out. It might lower the price of the Ivy Bridge processors. Haswell is due to debut in early June.
Your 6950 is close to a 560Ti according to what I’ve seen. So you should be able to toss everything to max besides super-sampling and get at least 30 frames.

+1 for duel system
Current WvW Ele “P S Y C H O O O”
I hope dueling is introduced to the open world for multiple reasons. One being for the sake of near-infinite map variability.
It’s also a great way to pass the time if you’re waiting for someone to catch up, or LFGing, etc. I want to be able to simply /duel someone and get it over with in 5 minutes, instead of having to travel to the heart of the mists and finally getting to the action 15 minutes later.
The fact that players are actively trying to find ways to circumvent the restrictions of PvP should be reason enough to implement the features.

Since conquest mode doesnt appeal to me, the only reason I join HotM is to actively seek low pop servers and duel. Be it 1v1, or team 2v2, 3v3. If a server has 4 or lower players, most chances are is that they are dueling, practicing.
But we are constantly being interrupted by people joining our games to play conquest mode, and they barge in our duels and get cheap kills and that is very frustrating.
Arenanet, its been ages since we had a word from you regarding dueling, can you please tell us any news about it?
I know private servers are coming, but thats not the to-go solution for dueling, with all these friends rooms being private or passworded, how will I find people dueling in the future?
I really wish we had this open public place where we can invite people into duels. Or just let us duel like in WoW out there in the open (except cities). We all know the game is balanced around group play but thats not the point, we want to duel for practice, learning classes better, coach friends or just have fun without all that “hold this point” mechanic.
Arenanet said on SOTG that they were toying with the idea of making guild lord death=instant win. Kind of like gvg!

Disclaimer: No you can’t have my stuff… I love the game and will keep playing every other area of the game besides sPvP. I just wanted to share my opinion of why it’s so frustrating and I can’t be bothered to play it. I hope Anet can resolve the issues causing my frustrations and I hope the sPvP community will explode as a result. That said, here’s my rant…
It’s just too freaking frustrating to keep at it. I don’t have the rank, and to be honest, the skill to find a good tournament team. So my best bet right now is to try and solo queue frees in order to meet people and form a team. Unfortunately the queue is still too long (plus 4 minute prep time), and too often the first round will start 4v5 (I swear my last 5 games have been 4v5). So for now I’ve given up on playing tourneys. That leaves me to play hotjoin. When I play hotjoin I end up raging after about 30 minutes of 8v8 as it always turns into a zergfest that favors heavy aoe or burst classes. If I try 5v5 instead, there are rarely enough players to play consistent games because 8v8 is the default and frankly it’s easier to farm rank/glory in 8v8.
With all that in mind, here are my own opinions on how they could improve sPvP and win me back.
Tournaments: The free tournaments should be in the same format as paids. It really should be designed to act as practice for paids and an avenue for solo queue. I feel like both free and paids would benefit as 4 team tournaments (2 rounds). There are many potential benefits to this. First, free tournaments would have a quicker queue compared to how they are now. Second, both free and paids could use two maps per week rather than just one per week. Third, high ranked teams would automatically avoid the issue of playing the same team back to back.
Hotjoin: I’d love it if the 8v8 format was simply removed. But I understand some people might actually enjoy it (though I can’t imagine how) so at least it should be moved to the bottom of the list and have the glory potential reduced a little bit to balance against the greater kill potential. The 5v5 format should then be made the default option and the glory reward potential should be increased in order to draw more people in. Additionally all hotjoin games should have a bonus glory reward at the end even for the losing team to discourage leaving early. This end bonus should be rewarded as a percentage of time in the map to discourage the inevitable map hopping.
Glory ranks: Now that there is a better method of ranking player skill, glory ranks should ONLY be considered as reward tiers. In other words, it should be a LOT easier to gain ranks as not everyone plays the game 8 hours a day, and even if they do, not everone wants to ONLY sPvP for the next few years to get armor and weapon skin rewards. In PvE right now it is about a hundred times easier to get all of the armor and weapon skins you’d like, even considering legendaries. I think the highest rank right now is 65 or so. That’s pretty crazy. Especially for those of us who can’t commit even a quarter of the time investment as those top ranked players. To be clear, I’m not suggesting it should be easy. Even if only 10 people were max glory rank right now I’d have hope to one day get there.
Balance: To be honest, there are plenty of frustrating balance issues. I watch streams where skilled players complain about d/d eles and trap rangers. Even no-skill hotjoin games are littered with them and can really make the game not very fun. Here’s the thing though… I actually like that Anet wants to be cautious and not nerf things too quickly. I just wish they’d find a middle ground and perhaps make a few VERY small tweaks once a month so that certain successful builds can remain strong, but not impossible to compete against.

I can’t believe they didn’t fix our Critical Hit Chance-increasing Traits not showing up on the Hero Panel…
Do you even lift, bro?
