You can buy the normal ones and charge them yourself. They did it to keep people from making tons of celestial gear immediately, as you can only charge 25/day. It’s intentional.
Who cares?
“Who cares?” was my first thought when I read your thread. But instead I tried to be constructive. Sorry that it wasn’t helpful to you.
People are acting like they played Guild Wars 1 for the recognition and not because it was just a fun game.
Hey guys,
In order to earn this achievement, you will have to hit someone with the offensive skills. You can’t just fire them off into the ether willy nilly.
Wouldn’t a better description of the Achievement be;
In Sanctum Sprint, hit other players with every possible pickup item at least once.
Not all the skills can hit people though. Grounded isn’t an offensive skill, and you need it for the achievement too.
M uch lag
O bstructs view of other players
U nappealing to GW players
N ot going to happen
T oo big
S kip over DE’s
Don’t get me wrong, I honestly don’t care whether the game has mounts or not, I simply don’t understand the hate.
M- is this a fact? Even so, I have experienced no lag with GW2, and doubt adding a bit more on screen content would change it that drastically.
O- players do that already
U- don’t speak for the entire player-base in general, because your opinion is nothing more than that, an opinion, in which there are a vast many.
N- Oh? And you’re a game designer are you?
T- What does that even mean?
S- Okay, so lets pretend for a minute, that people riding through an event are less likely to stop and participate then those who WP past it… 1. The entire reason they likely WPed past it, was because they didn’t want to be hassled by it, because they had other plans -be it map completion, leveling, personal story, living story, dungeons- and didn’t want to wast time doing events along the way. 2. Because they WPed past it, even if they otherwise would have participated, how will they do so now, when they are not even aware its occurring. 3. The whole point of WPs is to get straight to your destination, and not slowly cross the map doing DEs, whereas mounts, however much faster than walking, would still carry you across the entire map and through DEs.

Whenever you see any streaming interviews or updates by Anet, it always seems to be focused on WvW or PvP. The recent major nerf to rangers was done because they are too strong in PvP, so those in PvE got hit hard (no, I don’t run a ranger, just the easiest example).
The recent state of the game on Twitch glossed over PvE, as will the upcoming discussion. The upcoming one is on WvW.
Other than the Living Story content (which contains major WvW and PvP changes) it seems like everything is focused away from PvE. Any class balancing seems to be geared away from PvE as well.
I don’t have a problem with WvW or PvP, but Anet, if you are going to change things to fit that, please separate them from PvE so we who prefer it, can play OUR game, without worrying about our professions or playstyle. I went from other games that did worldwide PvP to GW2. You say you want to make it so that we can play together. That we don’t need to compete with each other unless we want to. Then you go and focus so much on the PvP/WvW/esports idea that you force us into builds and actions that suit THEM, rather than us.
If this game is going to go to PvP/WvW while forgetting PvE, many of us are going to be looking in other directions. And that is sad, because it is such a great game.
On many of my six 80’s l realised too late that preferences for:
- armor was with another order.
- elites were on a different race
Even though there may be some potential problems with personal storylines, a kit such as the ‘hair change’ or ‘total makeover’ could be worth considering at some point.
This raises a philosopical question. If Dulfy does that fractal and kills herself, is it suicide?
I’m a collector, i just want to say i’m sad certain skins and items won’t be in my collections. If there was some way in the game i’d go for all of them, all the molten skins, all the SAB skins all the dragon bash skins, but as it is now over half the skins that are in the game or will be added will be unreachable in a few months if they aren’t already :/
Sad collector is sad
It kind of kills my motivation to go for anything at all.
As everyone knows gw2 is based on the horizontal progression, and many complain of skins (finding them ugly) and drops of itens, thinking about it, I found a cool solution. Where is created various weapons and armor by community, being voted on by itself, being the coolest enter the game, are in black lion for some days and a percentage of the profit for those who is created. After this time, that set(weapon) is placed in fractal and this itens is droped in one specific boss.
Example 1: One ppl created set with elements of ice, this set dropped in last boss of this dungeon in fractal. The chance to drop will be rare, only for each "5 (random number)" kill the boss would drop a piece of the set.
Like steam workshop. Its a great way to make money, and a good way to make ppls happy.
Examples of couriers made in steam workshop from dota 2.

These two courier has the participation of a Brazilian and Brazilians make some items WorkShop and live it, a margin of 25% of all profits of this item goes to the author or authors of that item. Ie if an item is sold, 100% of the profit of this item, 25% goes to the creator. If 10 or 100 items are sold by the same author, 25% of all profit goes to the creator.
The more people buy, the more profit the creator.
Today, the DOTA 2 broke his own previous record that had overtaken the game with more players online than wakittenherto Skyrim today peaked at 330k of players in the Client Online + 70k + 30k twicht the NeoTV, not to say that the DOTA 2 BETA is still closed in China and South Korea, the tendency is to increase the number of players ever. So far in the middle of the month, 3,200,000 unique players played DOTA 2. Anyway, the more players, the greater the number of sales of the item, the more profit the creator, has people living in it, and now with the number of players is increasing even more the more money you earn the creator ...
Example, the courier did T_Vidotto Bamboo, Bamboo costs 25 reais, 50,000 players bought this courier, assuming that the profit of each courier’s the value of the courier in case 25 real, 25% of that goes to the actual 25 T_Vidotto, as T_Vidotto profited at all? Well it is more or less around ... To improve the actual T_Vidotto has Ward’s, set’s for certain heroes, courier and have been approved and are in the game, imagine how much he earns per item sold, the profit generated by summing all items ...

I have a couple of serious questions.
1. Did the person that came up with the math for this graduate from high school.
2. To prove it, please upload a copy of your high school diploma.
How about just a copy of their resume. I don’t see his high school experience on there. Hopefully the other stuff can count as relevant experience for your assessment.
Hey guys,
I wrote a PHP SDK. Would appreciate some help adding more functionality to it once Arenanet improves the API (like adding straight up server incomes and Objective values etc..)
https://github.com/defunctl/Gw2-SDK
You can see a little example I whipped up to see whakitten ’s capable of:
(edited by Sorrow.7384)
BALANCE, BUG-FIXING, POLISH
I think on Southsun Cove AN will add Meta Event with chest on end (something like Behemot, Jogmar).
Now THAT sounds like a good idea.
You have to walk before you run. And rest for 30 minutes after eating before you go swimming or you’ll get cramps.
Braham looks more like an emo drag queen than a punk.
He looked awesome in the wallpaper art, I don’t know what happened.
This, imo, is the worst part of the content update. Those weapons are awesome. Far better than the gloves or anything else (except maybe the infinite usage picks).
I’m really really sad that we can only get the weapons via the BLC. Same with the Halloween shoulderpads and the Lost Shores stuff. This constant RNG stuff via the BLC is just… demotivating to me. The dyes in this is just as bad.
I really hope they stop – or at least lessen – with it. I’d much rather get gear SAB style or hell, even like how one had to get The Crossing/The Mad Moon/Arachniphobia from Halloween. Far better than (limited time?) RNG stuff.
I believe they have said they are doing living stories in an attempt to give the game a more live feel. If something good sticks around too long it becomes stagnated. However, when it is taken away before this can happen, you are left with your nostalgia. There are indeed pros and cons to this tactic, but this is simply how Anet wants to do things. They are experimenting with what works and what doesn’t. If it doesn’t pan out as planned you can expect them to stop.
Sadly, this new patch, which “should promotes more build diversity” kills my build completely. Well, I guess I’ll just be positive and play bunker then. So I encourage you guys to switch to bunker and play it with me. The patch barely touches bunker spec, so lets play it!
Always remember:
“Want to bring down cantrip Ele without affecting lesser used builds”
“We want more viable Elementalist builds”
And then nerf lesser used builds more than bunkers making even less builds viable…
Anet balancing since @2012
It’s true and will effect all aspects of the game.
40 second cooldown on RTL if no target is hit.
The Warrior, with 8000 more health and 200 more armor has more mobility than an Elementalist. One hand sword has a 600 range leap on a 8 second cooldown. The Greatsword Whirlwind is a 450 range on a 10 second cooldown.
A warrior can leap 1050 range every 10 seconds.
Giving the Warrior 4200 range in 40 seconds.
I would like to congratulate the developers on their ineptness.
Is there a zerker problem?
I want to sympathize but…
…I’m a Mesmer going for Bifrost. Rainbows and butterflies for everyone!
Hi everyone,
This forum is dedicated to GW2 and its universe. While we understand that taking other games as an example can sometimes be needed in order to strengthen your argumentation, threads that are directly oriented toward other games than GW2 are not allowed.
Thank you for your understanding.

Skill lag, as many here have pointed out, is a server side issue. Your PC’s components will not have any impact on it.
Now explain the break dancing/moonwalking spiders with sun glasses…
The typical process for creating our monsters was:
1. Come up classic platform monster mechanics.
2. Come up with classic platform/adventure creatures.
3. Pick ones that go with the environment. (Or that don’t… because that’s the old-school way.)
4. When it’s time to actually start building them we make a lot of jokes.
5. When Jeff starts building one he does whatever random thing occurs to him.
6. I tell him to put the eyes further apart.
7. He ignores me.
8. I come in in the morning and find the finished monster with a funny hat or other accessories.
9. Trevor takes the monster and makes it move in an appropriate way.
10. PROFIT!
Josh, dude, when are they going to put you in charge of the whole game?
And all with Jeremy Soule’s stirring music!
Or armor for that matter? Could you possibly put in place some sort of art contest, suggestion box, or poll as for what kind of items we would like made? I don’t think anything like this is in place yet and it would be a good opportunity for Anet to involve their community in the game.
It would also help the people who are unsatisfied with what skins are available for their type of armor or weapon. Like for me there aren’t enough dagger and staff skins. So I could send Anet art or a concept and Anet can make a select few over a certain period of time? Like they will make these 5 skins this month or something.
Just a thought.
One of the great things I like in the game, is walking up to a random NPC and discovering a mini story from them. The new patch had loads of little NPC’s which didn’t obviously have stories to tell, but rewarded the player when you spoke to them – many within the instances. For me, this is a hugely rewrading way of telling the story and really got me going out exploring the village and talking to more NPC’s.
For me, this is the way forward for subtle, world building story telling to accompany the main story. As I said, I’ve no objection to them being on the forums/website, but I LOVE to discover these lesser stories through background NPC’s

Anet will continue to buff warriors until they are the only class in the game. at that point they can declare that they have achieved perfect class balance.
