1. Overall PVE balance, AKA the DPS race and condition cap problems
2. Class balance. A lot of skills and traits within some classes are undesirable and generally unused.
3. WTB dungeon reworks. Dungeons are far too static currently, add random events, alternate bosses, alternating trap/mob spawn locations, more interesting boss and trash abilities.
4. (Yes, I’m putting 4 down, get over it) Armor diversity. Specifically medium armor chest slot. Why the hell is everything a trench-coat? Oh yeah, and dye-able weapons.
PVE:
1. Condi cap – Why you guys said working on a solution for making condi’s more powerful, (ie: stack increase) was expensive, then just throwing a new condi in anyway?
2. (in relation to Q1) The dps/dps/dps meta…This I guess can be summed up as “balance”.
3. Lack of dungeon revamps.
PvE
1) Class balance (would like to see Elementalists discussed in particular)
2) Condition cap in group encounters and possible solutions
3) Skins rewarded for achievements: Why are these one-use and not incorporated into the achievement panel like the Zenith weapons and Hellfire/Radiant armour skins?
1)Class balance
2)Build Balance
3)Gear Balance – do something so that Zerker is a CHOICE not a necessity.
1) Testing / Test server / speed of releases vs quality etc.
2) Class balance
3) Guild improvements
In no particular order:
PvE:
1. Class balance and performance (e.g. serious long-standing bugs in need of fixing) – this includes the utility of pets
2. Horizontal vs. vertical progression now and in the future
3. Living story vs. more permanent high-level content
WvW:
1. Class balance and performance again
2. Matchup system and server balance
3. Downed state and the rally mechanic and their place in WvW
Edit: thought of a better (and less vague!) one.

(edited by Laurelinde.4395)
PVE
1. Guild halls/player housing and how to do this.
2. Class balance (pick one class, and discuss the skills, traits, bugs, pros and cons in depth over all the different playing areas, www, pve, dungeons and pvp. I suggest starting with ranger, engineer, or necro as these seem to be the most problematic in certain areas. If you do one profession at the time, it will be easier to focus. Also, do not start with warrior or guardian as these seems to be in the best place atm)
3: Cosmetics (dyable weapons, scars and tattoos, town clothes usable in activities, town clothes usable in battle maybe with special title for completing things in town clothes)
1. Build diversity in PvE, i.e. making max direct damage (berserker gear) no longer the only optimal time/effort choice for most PvE content (particularly dungeons).
2. Similarly, Condition caps.
3. New Armor skins and skin wardrobe.
PvE:
1. Risk vs Reward: mainly the fact that open world zerging bosses while spamming your autoattack is on par reward-wise with dungeon speedclears and ridiculously more rewarding than Fractals
2. Addition of new dungeons/fractals
3. Dyeable weapons
“People wanting content where Berserker sucks should remember that it needs be so hard
that they will cry, not just a river, but a huge ocean.” – Wethospu
(edited by Bright.9160)
1) The direction of dungeons.
PVE
1) Class balance, build variety (especially in dungeon, fractal), even more specific
2) New armor outside of gem store
3) Closet
1) Rewarding skill not luck/farming
2) Improving the storytelling
3) Improving boss/mob design
4) Guild functions
Gunnars Hold
1) Class Balance
2) Builds Balance (all builds to be equally needed/wanted on all aspects)
3) Continue the living world, affecting the world… not the gem store only.
PvE:
- Condition damage Cap (making condition builds viable in parties)
- Class balance ( balance between access to boons, defense and overall damage)
- RNG (loot luck of some people is to good to be true, compared to others)

I love how forthcoming you are Danicia. I’m scared for your job, or the backlash though :P
Our Moderation Team removed content which was off-topic to the thread. We’d like to keep this open for discussion, but we would also like it to stay on-topic.
The topic being how best to observe that the new policy is draconian and delivered in threatening/amateurish tone without ever implying that the people who would initiate such a policy are by extension draconian or threating/amateurish.
Its like waltzing in a minefield .
I wonder what your basis for comparison is…”

So after asking for a year for better communication between the devs and the community, instead we get this which really feels like a massive step backwards.
All dissenting opinions can now be classed as personal attacks and will result in a ban. How is censorship and ignoring fan concerns going to help this game out?
This kinda seems like a response to the recent incident that I will not mention in fear of being infracted. All I will say is it is sad that it has come to this. Where ArenaNet has to give themselves a boost in power in order to make sure they are not at fault. Anet vs The Players?
^I was trying to give my opinion on this but I’m sure somehow that can be worthy of an infraction.
I have to agree as well I can not put my finger on it perfectly, but as a player I am starting to feel ostracized. Today’s post just makes me feel worse as a paying customer and player.
Personally if I was the head of Arena.net and I read a post where someone said they felt lied to I been extremely upset. I would want to know what caused that customer to feel that way and going forward how could I fix it.
These new set of rules feel like a way for Arena.net as a company to justify upsetting the community as a whole.
I also feel its now Players vs Arena.net where we will be censored if the post hurts any one at arena.nets feelings. I feel like this is a slippery slope that could end up hurting the game in the long run.
I read the announcement about getting serious about posts that are insulting to ArenaNet employees. Sounds good. But…
Are you going to be equally serious about personal attacks made to other members of the forum? Because I see those all the time.
If we are all equals and deserving of equal rights, the same requirements should be met by all humans using this forum, staff and user alike, and the same punishment should be given for any human being insulted.
I really hope it’s not a case of it being a bigger crime when it happens to those with moderation abilities.
Define “cleverly disguised”. Broad language like these are quite dangerous.
it means THEY got me for " neg criticism in clever disguise".
Know that it has been fun and I love ya all.
We absolutely allow constructive criticism.
So, basically, negative criticism isn’t allowed anymore?
^ This is what I call disguised trolling.
If this update serves to remove “smart trolling” like this from this board I welcome it.
When you constructively criticize the game, aren’t you really criticizing the people who made it? We all know how words can be taken out of context. What’s stopping someone from doing that even after clarification?
And
Constructive criticism has never been punished on this forum.
I had to read that again to make sure I was reading it correctly. Once I finished, I realized something that I already knew, but, under moderation rules, would surely get me infraction points. However, I got a laugh.
– Euripides
I will like another clarification please:
Will you apply infractions (and bans) to those who call other persons “whiners” or “crybabies” just because they complain (or give their opinion) about something they consider “too hard” or “badly designed” (sometimes, certain persons start to insulting even if nobody has complaining yet)?
Or if you praise ArenaNet (and any new content/change in the game), you’ll have a free ticket to insult anyone who disagree?
-ArenaNet
So, basically, negative criticism isn’t allowed anymore? Because when you get down to it, NC is a jab at the people who made it, who are part of the ANet staff. And since the post is very broad in it’s description, this could very well fall under it. Even if the poster didn’t mean for it to be that way, any moderator could take it as such and dish out undeserving punishment.
Not to mention the end part makes it seem like it’s a no rules barred dictator style moderation in effect here.
– Euripides
When I read that last part:
You have been warned.
It sounds like a threat. It is just unnecessary to have that line.
I get that you want people to curb the insults and such, but maybe instead of being aggressive about it, you should be more professional about it. Sinking to their level isn’t a good way to get your point across.
Lady Bethany Of Noh – Chronomancer – Lords of Noh [LoN]
Oh come on now.
Do people really feel like they NEED to post PERSONAL ATTACKS against devs and if they can’t the forum is bad? Seriously?
The forum is already over-moderated and highly censored. Much of what the censor is simply criticism. This is simply a excuse for them to use to ban people who are critical.
It’s like passing extremely easy-to-break laws in order to harrass specific groups that you wish to target.
I would pay real money to play the game shown in these videos. Is there any chance that it will happen? Perhaps a crowdfunding effort via Kickstarter?
Sadly I gotta say you may be right….
Unstable Shield, Unstable Light
Well that was very much a useless post.
That sounds like a personnal attack. You have been warned.
