New weapons – hammer for my engi.

A player owned home where we can keep our armors… a closet. Yes!
Quests that are compelling. I didn’t really feel connected to any of the personal quests. I only did it for the xp and honestly, I am on story level 75 story on my main with no desire to finish it. I did enjoy the Arah story mode and that was about it.
Maps like W vs W. I hate mapping but I loved mapping W vs W zones because the setting took my breath away. When I wasn’t looking around for an ambush or a zerg heading towards me.
An expansion pack that we can pay..

According to the Wiki (if it hasn’t been changed since i last read it over a year ago), while they don’t consider themselves male/female in the same way as other races, they are born with 90+ percent the features of the two genders, and confirmed they can and do have sex in relationships, despite not being able reproduce that way.
I’d assume myself that the Pale Tree would give them any opportunity to mingle with society of the world (if she’s able to control certain things). If so, while unable to allow them the reproductive ability of other races, wouldn’t want to deny them other fundamental experiences and pleasures despite being plants.
Who’s to say that their evolution on down the road won’t allow them that final stage of being a part of the world at large: Caring for children of their own. Heck. Realistically plants reproductive morphology is oddly both male/female anyway. :P
Happy (early) birthday ^~^
I make PvP & WvW videos
Its going to be my birthday :P
Oh and some ending to the living story I suppose
Maybe, but we don’t know if she was still in control of her actions or not. “buddy”
Occam’s Razor.
If it looks like it was Modremoth controlling her and she woke up Modremoth, then it is more than likely Modremoth.
Bub.
Edit: She even mentions the voices in her head in the holo fight, telling them to shut up so she can concentrate.
Agreed. LS has managed to get me to do something no MMO I’ve played in a decade has ever done.
I bought Skyrim and am actually playing a single player RPG.
Just quit logging in last chapter, LA Farmfest. Haven’t managed to even bother since.
ANET is snatching failure from the jaws of success. It makes me very sad.
I’m not a fan of the transient and rapid fire nature of the living story. I can’t play every single day. I should NOT need to look up a guide on the internet to enjoy a game I am playing. For something called “Living Story” it lacked story and I didn’t do much living while playing during it. It was rather rushed and forced and left me disappointed. Games are supposed to be fun, by definition. Making things a grind fest to get meta achievements before they disappear forever? NOT FUN!
He does, yes, after the battle against the hologram.
It would be way cool if the Twisted Watchwork Portal Device could port you to instances of past living story that were scaled for a party of 5 …
It’s been a problem for a hell of a lot of people. ANet decided what they were going to do for the full 15 months and stuck to it, not knowing what the consequences would be. Hopefully now that this season is ending, they’ll be able to stop and make the narrative more accessible from within the game.
“Shortcut” tab > “Target”
Add to the end " -bmp"
This is the reason I more or less quit playing. I have to go long stretches without playing and I can’t keep up with LS. Since I’m a completionist this has been very off putting, and I only really log on everyone once in a while in order to say hi to guildies and sort of look at the changes.
Anyone else have this problem? The reason I put so many hours on GW1 was because I could sort of pick up where I left off and keep going. Now I just feel like I’m behind (gear/story/content) and I usually log off and go play something else instead/.
There are even recorded cases on the Tarnished Coast of Sylvari having intimate relations with members of the other races (esp. the Asura ). Earlier this year, a bunch of Asura got caught getting it on with their leafy friends. It’s been the talk in Rata Sum since the beginning of the year.
This happened, on my server, and no one called me?
I would have LEFT WVW for that!
Next time this occurs please send a tell to “Phaynel” and I will be there in under 5 seconds.

There are many published authors that use RP to get into their character’s heads before sitting down to write them into stories. It helps to solidify them in the author’s mind and RP helps to bring the character to life.
RP is very much like acting on a stage. You do research for a role, then you play out that role. The fun of RP, to me, is in portraying things I would never experience on a real level, and it is also about “the feels”. How often do you read a good book or see a really good movie where you cry at the end, or feel the romantic tension / charisma between the leads, feel the adrenaline of a fight scene, or want to hide your eyes when a zombie horde traps the main characters?
That is essentially what RP is: It’s another form of “enactment” and “entertainment”, much like watching TV and reading, but the difference is -you’re living the part-. That’s where the fun is. And the brilliant thing about it is when I step back out of my character’s head, all of that is over and I’m back to my “real life”.
As far as GW2 goes for RPing in, the world is gorgeous, it has a realism that makes it easy to immerse into the setting, and the Living Story enhances player’s own character stories. That is the biggest benefit to RPing in GW2 right now. There is a wide array of armor that when pared and toned down, appear as street clothing. Combine that with the limited town clothes we were given, a character can be made to appear as anything from commoner, pirate, captain, noble, magician-type, fighter, Seraph, Lionguard, etc.
I rarely use game emotes, preferring to use custom emotes, so the lack of /smile, /curtsy and such doesn’t phase me much. Although a simple /smile would have been nice for casual RP settings.
Anet has pretty much alienated the RPer player base, though. I can’t quite figure that one out, especially since most RPers will spend a bucket-load of cash on appearance items. They’ve removed all town clothes and probably won’t be adding more, ignored our concentrated efforts to get RP tags and other requests, messed up emote range distances so they can be seen half-way across a zone now and won’t fix it. Housing was supposed to be a feature after release, but placed on a “we’re not sure when” back-burner.
Another issue that makes RPing difficult with others is those that follow the lore are a bit messed up with what the lore exactly is since Anet’s current writing team doesn’t seem to be double-checking their work, or they seem to have too many writers not checking their work against each other… or something.
There’s lots of things that are frustrating to RPers in GW2, but all a RPer needs is a text box and one other person, and they’re good to go. But yeah, GW2 isn’t the “friendliest” out there for RPers, but it gets done.
One of the best moments on Aurora Glade, is running into an RP group, and sending them on a quest to investigate the case of a missing necromancer colleague. It’s so enjoyable when content we create for ourselves blends with the game. That is why I roleplay all the time. The game is just full of more surprises that way.

I never hated Scarlet from the beginning. She reminded me of a mix between Harley Quinn and Kefka, who I didn’t really mind either. I actually felt sad and a bit sorry for her by the end.

I will also miss her! I really liked her, I was always curious what new she will do..
Even if there is lots of people who don´t like her, there is also lots of people who LIKE her
But, the negative side is always seen more..
Thanks Anet, for Scarlet, for LS, for GW2! I love all of them!
This has been used before about characters in the Personal Story, but I feel it’s appropriate here:
Scarlet’s not dead. She’s just too cheap to waypoint.
I am going to guess Mai Trin. She escaped to the mists and she seems to be being set up for a go at a comeback or something.
I expect the dragon arc to be a long running story, so… we will definitely hear about them, but that one is going to move slow, and probably not have a conclusion for a bit.
I do want to know how the other active dragons react to Mordremoth being handed a beneficial change in the leylines.
I’ve always liked the Aetherblades. I hope Mai Trin has taken over and that we see them again.
Did you see her Body in the end? The Orange stripes? Either it was already decomposing OR her death allowed Mordremoth to corrupt her or take over her body in some way.
They didn’t take her corpse with them so… its all open…
i’m someway sad about scarlet’s death. she has a very nice character’s design plus she’s been around for 1 year with us
So i’ve been sad when i really saw and understand that she was really dead in the last video : It’s like BAM ! you realise you wont be able to hear her jokes and play with her tricks anymore.
i feel quite sad. TRAGIC END IS THAT
Same reason Glint did: if Mordremoth finds her, he will kill her.
Personally I’d like to see them take an extra week so they have more time to polish and work out the bugs. If there is one thing that Battle for LA shows us is that they could have used some more time to test and squash bugs. I’d rather them release content when it’s ready than be beholden to a rushed schedule. Just my 2c
Yes, but imagine. Being cut from the same cloth as the Risen. Being the monster told in bedtime stories. LUKE! HE IS YOUR FATHER!
on the other hand, Fus Ro Dah. enuf said.
So Sylvari really are Dovahkiin then.
TC is the place to be for RP. It has in the past been the friendliest server in the game. It’s undergone some recent changes due to WvW change ups and absorbing almost another WvW server. Seems to have diluted some of the friendliness as of late. Still there is a abundant RP especially in DR. People use the /me emote a lot. RPers use their imagination, so I’m not sure any game could be useless to an RPer.
This is not a speculation but merely a discussion thread. I also added my own input and a theory in it but what I want is your opinion.
“…Malyck determines to head west, into Magus Falls, to find his people and tell them of the Grove, and to return with an army with which to fight the Elder Dragons.”
(quote from the wiki)
Seems like Malyck won’t have to go far to fight an Elder Dragon, now that Mordremoth has been awakened (in his own neighbourhood).
The coincidence here is so striking that it’s hard not to think that this is a subtle confirmation of the fact that Mordremoth and the Sylvari are somehow connected – at least Malyck’s tree – and that we will get this confirmation in the next LS.
I also want to add out that, during the sylvari personal story, the Nightmare Courtiers want to get their hands on Malyck at all costs because he is the ultimate proof that the Dream is a facade and that the Nightmare is the true nature of the Sylvari. (at least that’s what they say)
Does that ring a bell?
It seems another strange “coincidence” that Malyck’s tree is where Mordremoth is. What I am saying is that Malyck’s supposed tree and Mordremoth may be the same thing.
Being the Nightmare Court, for me at least, (already said in a thread I made when such theories were young and new) connected with Mordremoth as well, it would go like this:
The Nightmare Court rejected the Dream for their “true” nature, the Nightmare, as intended dragon minions.
Malyck comes from a tree which, apparently, hasn’t fully blossomed yet (or if it did, its children didn’t get in touch -yet- with the other great five races, either as dragon minions or friendly sylvaris). This tree may be Mordremoth itself. How Malyck escaped his influence (or if they are born as dragon minions at all) is impossible to speculate at the moment, even though one could say Malyck is free of any influence (again: if there was any) because his pod drifted away for quite a few miles.
