Necromancers in general were pretty funny during Escape from LA. “I am Death, and I am here to save you!”
Nope, sylvari are fascinated with death. Its a mystery to them, in fact, a sylvari necro is rather normal, look at Trahearne. play on
As cliche as it is to say it, here it is. Who plays a human in a high fantasy game? They are like the people that go to a Mexican restaurant and order the cheeseburger :p
Thank you all for your comments. You have convinced me to choose Sylvari. After spending a few hours with this race I fell in love.
Sylvari are so openminded. They seems to be so carefree but in fact they face many problems.
I love Sylvari personal strory. Brew it is one of the most polished. I love their voice. The accent is wonderful. It’s a huge relief after playing female norn with her deep voice. I really like the fact that the Sylvari storyline make me feel appreciation by other characters. Throughout its history, I overcame Bercilak and felt my victory during the dialogues with the characters.
I really like the Sylvari sexuality. They have no problem with that if they love a man or a woman. It is rarely seen in RPGs. Remind me Asari from Mass Effect.
I personally believe that when it comes to the appearance of the Sylvari are the most gain in the night. Their design is amazing. I love their dreadlocks. Such a unique appearance lacked in other breeds. Now I have to make room for the other Sylvari. I think i will reroll most of my characters to Sylvari. I wish I had tried this before.
Thank you all again!
P.S. To Doggie.3184 <— actualy im not “him” im woman.

And Faolain’s comment as the fight starts:
“Cadeyrn! Seek your revenge against the firstborn!” (Yeah, you’re a firstborn too..)
(I guess nightmare also follows the Dark Side Will Make You Forget rule.)
I think my sylvari would make several fancy rugs before she became firewood, not that it’ll ever happen because sylvari are a proud and terrifying race….they just don’t know it yet
Looks like a wild charr wandered in our haven.
Begone, fluff-ball. Before we make a rug out of you.
But… but… We just want to be friends! Just let us be your friends and allow into your society, so that we can slowly assimilate and multiply and overtake your cities and ruling councils while you pathetic, meaty races slowly dwindle into obscurity.
Trust me, you won’t even know what hit you.
I mean, they’re the “other” mascots of the game right? I find it weird that they aren’t given much spotlight other than the usual quest NPCs on certain areas.
I chuckled though when Trahearne got shocked to see undead quaggans.
Rytlock.
So manly he doesn’t even show up and sends Rox to do the job for the honor of being in his warband.
After many total makeover kits and a lot of patience… I think I finally got my character just right. And she is one beautiful woman.
Initially I had wanted to share this in a pre-made thread, but I can’t seem to find the one I had seen (or possibly thought I had seen) some days ago now. And the search tool was no help at all…Anyway, here she is in all her Necromantic beauty. Feel free to share your beautiful characters be they Charr, Asura, Human, Sylvari or Norn.
Kiss me.

Because we Sylvari are clearly the master race- the rest of Tyria has just not realized it yet
Mwha ha ha ha ha!
ArenaNet and the Guild Wars 2 team have gone a long way to provide strong story and dialog to hint at homosexual love in the game and that is all fine and dandy, I won’t hate on girl on girl love. However I cannot help but notice that there is a lack of heterosexual relationships in the game, correct me if I’m wrong, but I think the only man and woman relationship in the story is Logan and Queen Jennah. This post is to gather support for a strong male NPC to come in the near future that could potentially become a love interest for an NPC of the opposite sex. Thank you for reading and thank you again if you agree.
P.S. by strong I don’t mean ugly as busted rocks, I mean clean, eloquent, well behaved and good looking. Someone that has the prestige of Thackeray, but more of a loner, not so eager to be the Queen’s lapdog if you know what I mean.

That’s entirely possible. In Guild Wars 1, most of the major plot points were a direct consequence of the player’s actions. Some of these (such as the premature awakening of Primordius and the reign of Joko in Elona, as well as the freedom of the Dredge) are lasting consequences of the Guild Wars 1 player character’s actions. Anet seems to have a fondness for the “good job breaking it, Hero” trope.
Scarlet and Traherne sprouted children so you’ll see her again in some form or another.
My first thought is that the spirit of Scarlet took control of Marjory’s body.

“Dear Scarlet
We as a community are sick and tired of you, so to release us us from you we did two things.
First we spread a false rumor that a dragon is beneath lions arch, this is ,as you can see, not true.
Secondly, while you read this you have already bin breathing a toxic that will eat you up from the inside.
Oh and it’s no use panicking now, even if it somehow came to you from one of your men, it’s on the letter you’re reading.
Greetings, the citizens of tyria.
ps. good luck in the underworld, a powerful necromancer already communicated with grenth, he has a special place for you right next to the fire pit of lost souls."
that’ll teach her.

Well, I think zerging is fine. No one is forcing you to do it. I try to do some of everything in Escape from LA. I like to do the big battles to get loot then if I see any people that need saving I save them. Then if there are ogres or children that need saving kill some of the bad guys and get some more credits. I pop around on the map to see what’s happening. I do think for the people who only like to do the saving they should get a bag when their person gets out. So maybe at the end if you saved 30 people you would get 30 extra bags. Then everyone has a reason to do everything. It’s kind of the same problem you used to have with healers who never got any loot for healing.
LOL at female Sylvari encouragement that sound like some monkey calling.
10 people enourageing 5 citizens standing close to eachother and you start to feel like you are in a jungle or Zoo with all that animals moans around.
My Sylvari necro must be one scary sapling. She encourages people to flee just by clearing her throat at them.

Personaly i thought it would be kinda fun to collect the 4 rare endless tonics and to be able make the exotic endless tonic in the forge with them.
And why no Enraged? Same with the risen, because it doesn’t fit into the current events.

I want a combat quaggan tonic liek watchwork. c.c

The market now is flooded with Quaggan tonics. People are hoarding them, selling them, spamming them, throwing them away.
When I had extra the first thing I tried to do, since there were exactly four varieties, was throw them in the mystic forge. Like you could do minis, and xmas items, and so many other things.
But GASP, they do not work!
Here is what I expected:
50 of each color standard tonic = 1 engraged Quaggan tonic!
3 of each infinite regular Quaggan tonic = 1 infinite Mystery or Enraged Tonic
How did you guys overlook this!? Why no enraged Quaggans!?

Great event - too bad about all of the bots
in Battle for Lion’s Arch - Aftermath

Hey look! This again.
They aren’t bots. They are afk. Play YOUR game and stop worrying about what other people are doing. The more time you spend looking and complaining about afkers the less time you are saving civilians.
To the devs who worked on Taimi, who wrote her and created and animated her model:
I want to thank you for Taimi. I live with multiple sclerosis, and while I was only diagnosed a handful of years ago and am looking forward to a future where I won’t be trapped in my own body, I value characters like Taimi more than you can know.
My greatest trouble spots are my legs, specifically the joints in my hips and knees. There are days that I wake up and I can’t get out of bed. I’m young (in my 20s) and I walk with a cane and have a handicapped tag for my car – and I get nasty looks from people all the time because I’m young and, clearly, I shouldn’t need a cane or a handicapped space. I’ll never forget the day a pregnant woman berated me outside a grocery store for taking the handicapped space she wanted.
When I play games, it’s usually as an escape. I like to imagine that I’m the perfectly healthy Commander Shepard, or some outrageously good looking Final Fantasy character on a quest to save the world with magic. Games take me out of my situation and, for a little while, allow me to be someone else. Maybe this is why I play a hyper-mobile d/d Elementalist.
But when you introduced Taimi, I was overjoyed. I didn’t play the Marionette weapon testing update, so I didn’t see Taimi until just recently when I was mucking around the refugee camp in Gendarran. The friend I was playing with pointed her out, and I think I shrieked loud enough to wake the dead.
I don’t know where you’re going with Taimi. But honestly I don’t care. Because now, in Tyria, I can imagine having a giant golem cart me around when I can’t feel my legs or when they hurt too badly to walk. Now when I get derisive or pitying looks, I can take a minute to imagine I’m sitting on a golem’s shoulder like a complete kitten.
So thank you for thinking of people like me. Thank you for thinking about how someone with a disability might get along in your world. And thank you for making her awesome.
Christina
PS Since I’m incapable of fanart of any kind to show my appreciation, I bake. If your office would like to receive a tupperware full of cookies, I’d like to bake them for you as a thank you.
