The forums, according to Anet, are filled with people who play the game too much (my phrasing, not theirs, and I include myself in that) and that is apparently a very small percentage of the GW population.
It’s fun to see this from a different perspective. The average playing logging in once in a while getting a new story tidbit rather than a forum goer biting their sister’s face off because nothing happened for 2 weeks.
considering a vast majority will be playing the early access of The Elder Scrolls Online.
Lol no
ArenaNet has never been mean with their April’s Fool’s jokes. There are people who do kitten things for April’s Fool’s, but ANet are not amongst them. I have seen developers, such as John Stumme who said that they hate the mean jokes and go the extra mile to be funny for all, not just the joker.
I am not worried.
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.
Here are the people who are kittened off by the change so far:
-dual legendary holders, + other expensive exotics
-people who like to mix-match town clothes
-people who bought multiple dyes
-people who absolutely hate anything involving the gem store
The first three I can get behind, the latter I have no sympathy for because they think GW2 should be a charity.
As with all changes, there will be people who will be negatively affected. And they are more than likely to be vocal about their displeasure.
Either way, these changes are for the good of the game – it’s players and creators.
Most likely it would be a problem with clipping or coding issues of individual pieces of town clothing with actual armor.

Anybody else feel that Marjory’s sister has been shown just so she can be killed off in the next Living Story release? You know, give Marjory a personal reason to go kill a dragon.
Yep, all she was missing was her red shirt.
It sounds like her sister going to get in some type of problem and this is how the Mag part of the map is going to open up. Its a set up for the next arc that how you wright things after a climax you have a fast fall in action. Did you think we where going to fight a dragon today?
Guild : OBEY (The Legacy) I call it Obay , TLC (WvW) , UNIV (other)
Server : FA
Technically none of the npcs should know it’s a dragon(unless scarlet left some hints somewhere), all they can see is a beam shooting out of a giant drill, only players know it’s mordy cause we see where the beam actually lead to at the end.
So they are bringing the prerelease system back for acquiring traits. Finding them in the world by exploring and finishing specific challenges to get traits instead of the current system. I must say I approve 100%
There is only one little detail, the new system will make pre-80 characters weaker which can cause serious problems with dungeons and upscaled content (WvW and LS)
But other than that I LOVE the changes
As for the new traits, is it me, or all professions are getting something useful good except for Rangers? Really? Faster Longbow arrows is what they could think off?

World of Warcraft will have nothing to do for almost a year before their expansion releases.
^ This.
Personally, I’ll enjoy having some time to mess around on alts and just catch up on the gear treadmill instead of having to stress about missing some big limited time item that’s part of some living story achievement.

Doc Halvern: “Sickness, flesh wounds… there is no ailment that can not be cured by some of my Krait Oil.”
Toxic krait: “Oh, come on. Like that’s going to work on me.” * stab *
I think we have empirical evidence that the good Doc’s Krait Oil does not cure death.
Except fiction can also be a reflection of the society we are living in.
And it is a sad world we live in
We are constantly reminded about Kas and Jory homosexual relationship.
People celebrated their representation because as society we become more open and accepted toward other sexual orientation.
Yet the irony is where we celebration one social group rise up while stepping on others
Imagine Scarlet has a female lover and upon killing them we are forced to make a joke about their death.
just imagine the uproar we would see on the forum
Scarlet was responsible for the destruction and deaths. While her action certain makes her death more justifiable in this fictional world, she does not deserve to be dehumanize (desylvarized).
It would’ve been better if the 3 answers we can choose simply reflect the 3 personalities (honour, charm, agression)
Belinda doesn’t really need to have any real involvement in the plot for Marjory to get involved at this point. Even though Marjory and Kasmeer originally came involved with Scarlet due to the investigations at Dragon Bash, I’m pretty sure she feels some sort of bond with the rest of Destiny’s Edge 2.0 that she would go with them for shenanigans.
Heck aren’t we just in it for the shenanigans?
NPC recruiter: “Random Moles are attacking villages, you in?”
Protagonist: “I don’t know if I can fit you in between slaughtering zombies and spamming cannons at Zhaitan.”
NPC recruiter: “They’ll be shenanigans”
Protagonist: “Tell Trahearne he can fire his own cannons!”
…Fire and Frost in a nutshell.
She seemed like a walking plot device, all she was missing was her red uniform.

Thanks Christina for your lovely post. We shared it with the community at large on our social medias.
Hey! This is amazing that you shared your story. I contacted you ingame because the Guild Wars 1 and 2 community do a charity fundraiser every April ingame for Multiple Sclerosis! We are hosting it on the 19th this year…but haven’t posted the final details yet. My mom has MS…and I totally understand people not understanding. I am a huge avocate and an ambassador for the MS Society in Canada. I hope that we can get in touch so you can see what this amazing community does for MS and helping to spread awareness
Thanks soooo much for sharing your story! <3
Hi Yailith, it looks like you’ve already used the In-game Events subforum for a past event but we’d like to encourage you to do it again for this event. If you could also send us an email at community@arena.net with the details of the event, we’ll see if we can help promote it! Thanks for your work on organizing such a great event.
When I play games, it’s usually as an escape. I like to imagine that I’m the perfectly healthy Commander Shepard, or some outrageously good looking Final Fantasy character on a quest to save the world with magic. Games take me out of my situation and, for a little while, allow me to be someone else. Maybe this is why I play a hyper-mobile d/d Elementalist.
Are you listening game developers? THAT is what great videogames are really about.
They are not gambling machines, market simulators or movies, please remember that.

On behalf of the writers, artists, game designers, and everyone else who contributed to Taimi’s character development, you are very welcome.
Speaking as a writer, one always hopes one’s characters will matter to the audience as much as you describe Taimi mattering to you. I am honored for my part in inspiring such a reaction and I am moved by your eloquent description of the positive impacts Taimi’s character has had on your outlook.
All of us here at ANet are sending you our most positive vibes—hang in there. I sincerely hope the support of us and the larger GW2 community continues to be a source of comfort.
Now bring on them cookies! <JK—in all seriousness, this thread is all the sweet reward we could ever hope for, but if there are cookies on top of that, we’ll take them, too :-)>

Mordremoth.
I just have to wonder how Colin thought this was a “one in a million” prediction.
As resident Colin, I said this back when the world thought it was Primordus or a time travel story line, as more clues came out the theories got MUCH more correct, by mid-february the correct theories were certainly far more plentiful. Also the one in 10-20K number was about the entire story in the final 2 releases, not just one specific part of the ending. Only a couple of folks correctly guessed LA getting nuked before we gave any of the hints for example.
Above all else, I just want to say how much fun it has been watching everyone theorize over the last few months. It’s one of the coolest parts of the living world experience to me. Where it goes from here….well you’ll just have to wait to find out!
And still no reason. How naive i am that we should get any meaningful information …

Scarlet was an Asura-phile. It would make sense for her to have a connection to the old lab. She saw herself as an Asura instead of Sylvari. That’s very apparent in the final battle when we have to fight the colored holograms: Dynamic, Static, and Synergetic.
I know why she divorced her culture. I play 2 Sylvari characters, and Sylvari society has given me the impression that they don’t approve of intellectuals that venture outside the “natural” realm (esp mechanics). If a Sylvari is like Kahedins and integrates plants into their designs, that’s a-okay. But God help the poor salad who thinks outside of the garden box.

Maybe try different builds for your current characters.
it can make a pretty big difference in how it plays.
