I think a simple solution will be to just place a debuff of10% to all stats, on 25+ Groups. That way you will be forced not to zerk in massive numbers. If that is even possible do not know.

Wrong solution. 25 sieging a keep with 50+ defenders won’t work. Sure, the defenders will have 10% debuff, but they will also have siege and walls/guards etc. So no. Just no.

Rooster I’d recommend researchong how the leagues work. Matchups are based on rating and points are awarded based on your placement in your 3way matchup. That means BG will not be facing off with rank 12.

Yes, JQ needs more NA guilds because they won’t be beating t4 servers hard enough.

You guys and the rest of the OCX from SoS are more than welcome to go to Fort Aspenwood. Their NA + SoS SEA/OCX would make another powerhouse server if it truly upsets you Rooster.

I love 1v1, it certainly requires skill, but players of equal or similar skill will see the outcome as a result of buildwars. 5v5 and 8v8 are ideal but even 8v8 feels a bit much.

Besides, there’s only so many times you can read about who bought which guild and who blobbed what in the tier 1 thread.

In t1 its a lot of havoc groups running around and pugs exploring. Every now and then a server will send a zerg through, but its mostly [TW] who tries to blob it. Generally that servers towers/keeps get pushed hard when that happens.

JQ appears to excel at all aspects of the game… a top NA server with the most “gold medals,” the most top ranked players in tPvP out of T1 (see https://leaderboards.guildwars2.com/en/na/soloarena), and please, keep note of the fact SoR has 2 and BG has none (LOL).

Then there’s the PvE community… well, you see where this is going.

Go figure it would be SoR to zerg the cap points. Maybe it’s because they were getting embarrassed from losing so much in small numbers.

I made that thread recently about auto attacking needing to be weaker, it’s basically just a small part of what you said, it’s a flaw that’s existed since release. Just way too much spamminess of EVERYTHING and leaves no room for actual thought.

It’d be like Hearthstone if you drew 5 cards per turn and every had 1 mana cost, just a complete clusterbleep.

No reason for me to ever time my conditions/boons/cc’s right, in same cases CC’s need to be timed but not nearly as much as they should be.

All of this also affects PVE and even WvW so IMO it should be top priority for Anet since it affects the ENTIRE game and is part of what dumbs it down so much.

Imagine if you had to actually time boon strips, CC, and certain conditions like chill/weakness/poison optimally to beat a boss or kill another player and it became a game of strategy like a CCG, which is how it should be, but with that action playstyle. It would be amazing.

Semantics, really. I highly doubt Anet makes any substantial difference in revenue from either playerbase, since they are synonymous. I can only assume they direct more focus into the “living world” because more people are “strictly PvE” and would have nothing to do without continous additions. PvP, however, is perpetual and therefore players can continue to enjoy it’s content without updates (in theory). Of course balance and lack of variety has made the game stale, but it pales in comparison to how much attention a “living world” demands.

True but can we really blame them for making a good business decision? I don’t know what the numbers are, but I’d guess that PvE has something like 200 times as many active players as PvP does. I’d also guess that the average PvEer spends twice as much on gems as the average PvPer.

The harsh reality is that Anet is probably making 400 times as much money from PvE as they are from PvP. Is that their own fault? Probably. But I can certainly see why Anet is not willing to invest much into PvP. Think of it as having two part-time jobs: one pays $4000 a month, the other pays $10 a month.

That’s a pretty big fallacy there. PvP is what keeps a game alive for the long haul, not PvE (see, GW1). The longevity of the game is dependent on keeping people’s attention and though PvE in a “living world” might do that better than the instances from GW1, the last few years of GW1 were only alive due to the PvP playerbase.

So, in essence, $4000 a month for 1 year, or $10 a month forever?

GW2 showcases 1v1 or smaller team fights that requires micro to be successful. The only 1v1 that happened in GW1 is cripshot ranger 1v1 flagstand fight which was hot in 2005. It’s mostly 8v8 who had people redbarring and 321 spiking or sometimes split which will most of the time coalesce to 8v8 again.

Eh, like Kelly said, bad players watched bars. I fused and I can tell you, yeah, you might be able to know who’s health is getting low and that person needs a heal, but it didn’t tell me when they had diversion on them or just (for argument’s sake) wastrel’s demise, one of which may need hex removal the other of which does not need my help at all. So ultimately, I think the addition of bars would help more than hurt gameplay.

Trolling aside, October 1st is the balance patch (which I have no faith in). Then another year after we might get a new map with an even BIGGER cannon.

I understand the Bloodlust buff may at first seem like a cheap shot towards people with ulterior motives for entering WvW. However, at the same time, it is WvW, and nothing else.

I’m sure a more logical explanation is Anet wants to keep WvW, well, World versus World. Devon commented on the same thing and made that pretty clear.

sPvP stat combinations are different, yes, but a custom arena on Legacy of the Foefire (which pays homage to Guild Wars PvP) can offer 10v10 in a balanced environment. If anything, it should be used since if any other game modes are implemented, they will be using sPvP parameters.

Where did all the people go who designed Guild Wars 1 PvP? Rehire them to save this game.

If its between sbi and ioj, i think sbi fits your criteria better. However, both are great servers, I’m sure. I’ve only seen sbi though, when I was on sos
