I run up to a mob, start hitting it and it takes all of my hits. Is that stacking or glitching?
If it doesn’t move it’s glitching.
If someone else standing on you, it’s stacking.
If it’s not moving and people are standing on you it’s pretty much exploiting.So if you have full melee party (totally legit), all go to dps boss (totally legit) and he doesn’t move because he uses melee too (totally legit), it’s exploiting?

I’ve been a warrior since beta, don’t spend a lot of time on the forum but this post interested me. I’ve tried pretty much every build out there but I find that the GS isn’t as good as people think. Only benefits it has over hammer is hundred blades which, with enemies changing aggro, has the ability to miss often enough in PVE and an evade with the whirl. Damage outside hundred blades Balances out quite well. Hits slower but harder. The added benefits of having control is handy too. If one.person in a group isn’t tanky then the aggro is shared by th group. When I play dungeons the enemies mob Me and I stun them, cripple them and stall them while everyone else does the big damage. I did coe last night, first time in a while doing it, and pretty much 75% of the alpha attacks were interrupted by me. Usually with pugs two go down every time but not last night

Blade trail when target is not on a wall hits twice if used properly
Use rush of CD

I’m not a Warrior Fanboi, hardly even play mine anymore, but Hammer is not a good PvE Weapon. If you want to control a fight with interupts, play Thief or Mesmer(or throw rocks and plank stuff in walls), but not alot of the fights need this control…normally you just pewpew the stacks off so you can Ice Bow 5 stuff

I hate FT engi’s. I don’t care about what pug’s run anymore, gave that up long time ago…but when they start killing my FPS, we have a problem!
I’d take a grenade/bomb kit engi everywhere, as long as they know how to stack might/stealth and give me all the vurnabilty in the world.

It’s hard for pug’s to change, it will take a long time before they understand Engi is great for pug runs. Guess I’ll prepare myself, as I’m lvl’in my Engi. At least it will get my Thiefs ascended armor if I like it. ^.^

If this is for PvE:
Sword-Good for Solo’s or fights you really want your own block. Skill 4 has great damage if you rip the sword
Warhorn-I run this on EA build(6 4 0 4 0)when there is enough vurn to blast stuff. Only in groups that know wtf they are doing.
Mace-Optimal for most groups for the vurn and high damage control skill
Axe- You should have enough Fury from FGJ and SoR, so skill 4 is not needed and skill 5 has lower DPS then Auto Attacks on Axe. I’ve seen people use it in solo’s so they could go Disc banner Signet of Fury Signet of Might and maintain Fury with Axe 4, but don’t think it’s optimal.
Look into the 6 5 0 0 3 build
Try to move to full zerk. Step by step if you have too, Warrior has highest base vit and toughness and extra dodge on GS

For PvE:
Organized Dungeon groups: Force+Night/…Slaying
Semi-Decent Dungeon Pug’s: Force+Night/…Slaying, Force+Battle, … Slaying+Battle
Bad Dungeon Pug’s: Force+Energy
Open World: Force+Battle, Force+Energy
PvP:
Don’t PvP a lot, but I’m p sure it is Battle+Energy/Doom/Force/Accuracy(maybe even Fire or Air, but I’m not sure)
First , why would burning precision and blinding ashes work against each other ?
Single Target blind on kitten iCD is already really bad for a GM Trait, making it random makes it even worse. Persisting Flames is way better as you should be blasting your fire fields. Perma Fury is godlike.
Second , I didn’t find any better trait than soothing mist ( Air/arcane minors or grand earth traits )
Your strongest AA is in Air, so it’s useless. Put that point in Air, the Lightning Bolt hits like a truck. Take out 3 points of earth, put them in Air too and you have 10% more dmg on your AA and after a might stacking rotation, you have Air Attunement ready(you should get more then 1 Air Attunement swap in a might rotation, but thats when you get more used to Ele rotations)
You’ll still have 2 points in Earth, take Stone Splinters
Use Bolt to the Heart in Air

The build you linked has alot of flaws:
2 from Zeal should go to 1 Radiance 1 Virtues or 2 Virtues
Purity is bad and Retributive Armor is in the wrong place, if you go 6 in Valor, it’s for Altruistic Healing, OP sustain trait for WvW.
Two-Handed Mastery is not bad, but Empowering Might is so much better(that’s why I put in Knights Weapons and Emerald Jewels), its synergy with AH will keep you alive.
Force of Will looks tempting(it IS 3k HP) but with 2 shouts+Trooper Runes, Pure of Voice is REALY great Condi Clear.
Shelter Heal>Signet of Resolve, better to mitigate the burst then have to heal it
Also blocking gives you might, might gives you HP from AH

ANet should do something about skipping in dungeons, players should be forced to kill everything in the way before advancing to the next section. Also soloing dungeons should be bannable, i hate when i look at the lfg and see people selling arah, it bothers me the way they play, and i cant get a group for arah because when i join these groups they kick me because i refuse to pay then. I shouldn’t have to pay to play the content right???
You don’t have to pay. You can either make your own LFG or join an LFG that isn’t selling the path. If you join an LFG that is clearly selling the path, you should absolutely be kicked from the party for refusing to pay.
Edit: Also lol @ being mad you can’t solo it yourself so you QQ that other people can.
You missed the point by a long shot.
It seems there were three points addressed. One about skipping, one about soloing, and one about being kicked from parties requesting payment. I acknowledged 2 and ignored the third, because I have no comments regarding forcing players to kill everything.

I try to get on an Northern Lights[NL] overflow(on Eu) and they only use 1 DPS stack
But just stay on the Commander, if he knows what he is doing you won’t get a lot of dmg
(moving out the AoE and stuff). Also, with the PVT gear you have loads of time to react to stuff.
I have 2 ele’s and I’m glad I geared 1 of em for world events you cant crit on, cause I know how much it hurts in zerk gear :p
Ele’s have great DPS so using cleric gear , vit/toughness runes and only 2 points in power line is bad imo.

Think you maintain around 7’ish might stacks just by using your skills
Switch to water when you get feared so you can put down water fields
For teq, switch Cleansing Fire for Lightning Hammer for burn phases
Earth2>fire2>Arcane Wave>Arcane Briliance>fire5>icebow 4>fgs4>fgs3>LH 4>LH AA on DD spot
Go full PVT and still feel like a DPS God!
If it’s for PvE, you don’t need vit or toughness
Go zerk
Get a PVT set for world bosses you can’t crit on.
Also, Focus is a better off-hand for dagger.

You rly should not use one armor set for both PvE and WvW though
Same with traits, but they are easy to change
If you prefer WvW, just get a full exotic berserker set, a GS with force/night and Axe/Mace with force/battle
Also, Crit Dmg is not as important as dmg multipliers in traits

If you force people to fight bosses in a certain way then more and more people will try to find exploits and safe spots to cheese it. Or just not do the content. And an anti stacking mechanic like that will probably be very easy to exploit and prevent the boss from not attacking anyone (Move in and out of stack spot, watch boss get stuck running between spots).
The best solution is just to make bosses dangerous so there is risk when you stack. Just like they did with the spider queens poison. This forces you to have a proper plan when you stack to dps a boss.
Or they could just make it so the bosses AoE barrage of doom is used anytime X amount of players are so close to each other so one person moving doesn’t phase the AI.

Was there some update in the game I missed that means people actually require skill to beat the dungeons now? Did they bring back the GW1 team?!
If Anet fixed existing dungeon issues, adding new lvl 80 only paths with more difficult encounters and better rewards would be a possible answer.
To me, this is the REAL issue. AC gives 1g50s per path per day, while all other dungeons besides Arah gives 1g5s. IMHO This should be scaled more appropriately to encourage players to run the more difficult content, while still rewarding them for running the lower scaled paths.
i.e. 75s for AC paths (35), 1g for CM paths(45), 1g25s for TA up/forward (55), 3g for Aetherpath (80), 2g for SE (65), 2g25s for CoF (75), 3g for CoE, HotW and Arah p3 (80), 6g for Arah p1/2/4 (80)
at this point im not sure if anet employees knows their dungeon well enough.

Yeah because reading LFGs is so hard it’s an exploit. I am pretty sure such a feature would cause more tears. Those who use such a feature would be labeled elitist anyway.

IF you have to range something, its most likely cause its to hard
So id rather have the utility of a SB(CB has decent dmg, Choking Gas+CB=weakness spam, evade on #3 and mobility on #5)
Just my 2 cents, can be wrong or not what you are looking for, but when I have to range on my thief(witch doesn’t happen often) I choose for the SB for the utility/decent dmg.

It’d take over 100 paths to spend around 1g in potions in most cases, barring a few potions like outlaw slaying and undead slaying that cost slightly more than the others due to how frequent they are used.
You are wrong. There’s no excuse to not use them other than putting no thought into it.
Even if I use 1 copper for a potion and get 1 gold from the path I just ran, I still lost 1 copper. Just because I have more gold than before, it doesn’t mean that I got a potion for free.
If I want to be stingy with my gold, it’s my choice. I don’t care if you don’t agree with it.

Potions are just not designed well. They are very specific to certain parts of the game. Like, when am I ever going to need a potion that specifically kills dredge, or flame legion?
This was about dungeons, every dungeon(except CoE) only needs 1 Type of potion
but I’m not going to be carrying them in my inventory everywhere I go.
Imo, everyone that does Dungeons daily, should atleast invest in some potions(even if its just 10 on each character). I don’t think some people understand how strong +10%/-10% is ._.
It doesn’t even take THAT much inventory space and there are more then enough merchants on every map

Really, OP? Is it SO difficult to start a group and specify that it is for new/inexperienced players? You might not get people joining as quickly as with an exp group, but it’s perfectly viable still.
As for difficulty, yes, I’d agree some dungeons are maybe a little too punishing. But with youtube guides and/or a little perseverance, they’re really not that bad.
1 year ago it probably was(having to use a website for forming a group wasn’t the most optimal), but OP may not even play anymore

Why noone mentioned hammer? I heared that guardian with hammer is a ‘must-have’ in every team and if there is one then you can take sword/focus setup.
It’s not a “must-have” but I love one in high level fractals, but he should still be full zerk and, I think, running 3 5 0 4 2

…if you play dungeon or pvp there’s nothing better for a guardian than the support/bunker build.
That’s why no one want a dps guardian in team for medium/high rated dungeons (arah, fotm, etc).
Why do people always think zerk guard brings no support?
I play 2 5 0 2 5, changing Utilities and Indomitable Courage/Absolute Resolution for almost every encounter. How is that worse then a AH AFKhammer that ruins ele’s might stacks with his staff and uses his “Stand Your Ground” as a condi remover instead of , you know, actually giving stabilty to your party when they need it?
Everything 0 0 6 6 2 can do, a 4 5 0 0 5 or 2 5 0 2 5 can do alot better and more.

When a cleric(sorry, TVH) AH Healing Symbol Hammer Guardian AFK’s and spams 1 it’s a skilled “tank” and “healer”, when a Zerker player makes use of the above mentioned GAME MECHANICS he is exploiting.
But why do I even bother to explain, people like you will never get it otherwise this thread would still be in its grave.
I dont join No skipping/No stacking groups and I don’t care that people play this way.
So why can’t you people do to same? We ignore you, you ignore us…make it clear it your LFG, make a guild, do whatever you want.
