First of all I think you are in wrong forum, this one is about PvP which doesn’t get any love each month. Next thing, core features of PvP are flawed or missing, but hey you don’t have to pay monthly fee. Guess what, GW1 didn’t have monthly fee too and had everything PvP related in place.
Ostrich, Arken, Coutless – both for music and charisma.
I think only glass cannon ele is somewhat viable. Get your burst rotation right, this needs lot of practise. Work on you timing and positioning. Also make sure that you have proper build and equipment.
I believe the game goes for 30-40 $ now at certain retailers.. just sayin’

2) Are plans on introducing daily and weekly in-game tournaments still on the map ?

7) What happened with GW1 PvP devs and their ideas.
8) How is bug fixing and gameplay polish going ? You dropped the name tournament in favor of rated match, yet there are still many references to tournaments for example tournament tokens and various descriptions.
9) Will underwater combat balance ever get your attention ?
10) It has been couple months since you stated that you “work on toning down AoE across the board”. How is that going ?
11) Are you aware of imbalances such as skills having poor risk-reward ratio (risky ones being not rewarding, safe evade spam being not punished, also close range combat being not rewarding because of AoE spam and condi spam which favours ranged classes with lot of disengage abilities) and AoE being superior to single target spells ?
12) What are the ideas to increase the population of PvPers ?

Quite often my binded dodge doesn’t work. I have to use it around 5-15 times before it starts working. This is terrible.
With all these 9,945 ranks ? Hell yes.
WvW allows a lot of powerful effects and those sigils do not stand out.
They are popular because their mechanism allows you to swap out the weapon with the sigil on while still keeping the power stacks. They are like extra sigils slots.
If anything I would have the power stacks taking effect only while you wield a weapon with the sigil on.
You would loose stacks after weapon swap. There is no easy solution on this it seems.
i dont get all your crying… ofc its gamebreaking but anet would never implement such things like changing client side information to make everything a human.. if they would do it then they can implement race change and that tehy wont do as they said.. best way to fix this problem: stop qq get over your lazyness and make an asura.. takes 40h of gameplay or 3h if crafting and in spvp its for free!

Are you serious ? Yeah lets all reroll Asuras and keep guessing when to dodge and what malicious spell someone is casting. Thet would greatly improve depth of the gameplay.
Sigil of Intelligence tends to bug a lot, I personally don’t like it. I prefer to get damage and crit from amulet and traits, and defense from runes (malandru) and utility skills. Also when it comes to utility skills, Berserker Stance would fit better cause of adrenaline loading and counter vs condi meta. I think destruction of the empowered would be better choice instead of mobile strikes.

Starcraft has one game mode, few maps, no rewards, and a simple ladder based matchmaking.
Counterstrike has maybe three very similar game modes (as GW2), few maps, no rewards and no matchmaking.
MOBAs have one game mode, VERY few maps, no rewards and simple ladder based matchmaking.All those are successful esport games since years.
I could go on with more marginal game types that also have loads of international tournaments :
Soccer games : one game mode, no maps, no rewards, no matchmaking.
Fighting games : one game mode, one map, no rewards and sometimes basic ladder matchmaking.Please guys, enough with your rocket science now. We don’t need all that crap to have a successful competitive game. We need a fun game to play, that allows good players to sit on bad players’ faces, and if possible that is enjoyable to watch. That’s it.
100% Agree, however GW1 had several game modes and all of them were kind of successful. So there isn’t a must to have one perfect game mode to succeed. Anet proved it, and for some reason they failed to do it again.

Learn to dodge, its key feature in the game. Other then that try mixing Cavalier and Valkyrie gear with Knight’s. Also traits depend on weapons you want to use. However your spec seems more WvWish (zerg tank/support) than for PvE properties.
Loading screens are still longer than they used to be. Unability to report AFK, troll (standing in base but typing stupid kitten in chat) players. Skyhammer being undodgeable. Matchmaking flaws. Class balance is a whole other story and it reaches further than Yolo Q.
You are right. This game has some serious development flaws. But that probably would never be fixed, so we can focus on things that could improve the game. My opinion is that more game mode variety could help bringing new players to PvP as well as PvEers. Of course huge balance and mechanics revamp would have to prelude it. Well lets dream on …

Would be cool if they would implement a buff that recognises how many players are aroud you, and if there are 4 or less (for 5 man party) you would get some bonus stats or something. Or do it reverse way, the more players around you, the less damage you can deal. This could encourage playing in small groups attacking objectives from many sides instead of mindless hive.
Or enable modified option from WvW where all enemy models would be standarized to human for example. This way you can play whatever race you want and its still fair in match.
Everything about GW1 PvP was awesome, yet none of it was implemented in GW2. Outcome of that (leaving all great ideas rotting in gw1) is well know to us, barely no one plays GW2 PvP. You can’t argue with that. Keep in mind how many great players left long time ago, and how many new competitive guilds were formed lately ? Not many. Esports ? Give me a break.
Great points. I also belive that every single AoE skill should be channeled (like meteor shower or whirling axe) so you have chance to counter it, bad AoE is what wells are for example.
Agree, maybe at least give alts some milestones like 20, 30, 40lvl etc while your main is for example 47. Same goes for story mode in dungeons which should be accout based since launch.

Most people that play high lvl tpvp and that plays with me dont think aoe is a problem.
All i saw are people crying about game mechanics that are not OP or a problem because they lack the hability and skill to overcome it.
So please stop trying to balance the game when you suck. Cause its ur problem , not the games problem.

1. Classes are too independent. There is nearly no synergy between them.
Is there any plan to make teamwork actually reliable in this game?2. They told in 2012, they would fix AoE and its impact on conquest. Till today, AoE is still the most effective form of damage. Are they still looking into this?
3. In February / March they talked about bringing incentive into this game. There is still no real incentive for casuals nor the competitive scene. How they gonna plan to create this incentive? (via titles, tournament-rewards, unique items, real soloQ ?)
This + When we are going too see more options to customize custom arenas to be able to try new game modes (Team Deathmatch, Capture the flag only on spirit watch, Kill Count, King on the Hill with only 1 middle point active)

People should be thinking of why we don’t have something entirely better than collections.
Why can’t you make armors and weapons just like runes. If you put it in locker you can take it as many times as you want but you can’t salvage these, you could only salvage stuff straight from chests.
So, I see we earn laurels in pvp now. Since I don’t PvE I don’t know much about them. Is it 1 laurel per day, per account?

Sadly, we all know what the chances are for any of those things actually getting some dev recognition.
Furthermore, on the complaint regarding ranks having too high a requirement for cosmetics alone…GW1 had no rewards from rank acquisition, or in other words – the rank itself was your reward, because ranks were, for the most part, a sign of prestige, skill and therefore often a target of admiration (back when they were actually hard to attain, that is). By making the sole pvp rank easily attainable from formats such as hotjoin (which can even be manipulated massively), GW2 completely trivialized the pvp rank, so they have as much ‘worth’ as any random pve rank you come across. Be glad you at least get free cosmetics from that excuse of a ranking system to start with.
Its because GW2 rank is like if you would make Balthazar Faction rank in GW1. It doesn’t really make sense because you get rewarded even if you lose, thats why all these hot join heroes simply grind points not caring about team strategy and winning. GW1 ranks required winning fights and/or chaining your victories. I don’t understant why there is only 1 tier of champion titles (that gives you title).
Drop Conquest, bring back GvG, HA and TA.

Same pattern happened to Polish PvP community. When GW 2 launched, there was decent amount of active PvP guilds (most transferred from GW1). Now there are just few left. Most of them left because of super slow changes in PvP and lack of perspective for future changes. Guilds that still play still believe each month that the update would be gamebreaking and their effort wouldn’t go to waste. Sadly each month morale drops and people leave.
As a dedicated fan I would suggest to cast away the idea of slow minor changes because its already too late, something big must happen, the sooner the better.

Ok, no major updates this month and maybe next one too. So I made a list including common demands, little things that would make most of us happy.
PvP Locker :
- slots for backpack (Toymaker’s Bag, Quaggan Backpack)
- slot for arcane converter
- armor and weapons stacking more than 1
- crafting materials stacking up to 500-1000 (infinite maybe ?)
HotM:
- banker (with option to withdraw everything without need to type the amout – which is kinda annoying)
- guild bank
- (optional) some form of jumping puzzle to kill of some time while waiting for matches
General PvP :
- build templates
- equipment templates
- key bind templates (mentioned at SotG but nobody realy explained it)
Guild :
- editing status (so you don’t have to write everything again)
- time stamps (to know if someone just logged out or is offline for years)
- more PvP related upgrades (Glory Boost maybe ?)
Is it hard to implement some of these ? If not please do not hasitate and make it happen
