Its not really as simple as snapping your fingers and saying “transfer”. In the case of my own server (Borlis pass) Many of us have been on it for over a year. Transferring is just not really an option. Besides, we like being able to play for the North American prime time.

Things that need to be fixed though, Anet needs some Asian/Oceanic servers. They also need to realize that net world population does not equal WvW population.

Well, it was a fun match up, as far as fights go. YB, you guys have have some sweet guilds that have joined you in the last 6 months. You are no longer the server Borlis first met and defeated a few months back.

As for Ebay, your number is up. We shall be seeing you very soon I expect. Quite possibly for reset. And Yaks will not be there to cover for you. No doubt you will go running to the second wheel server in our match up to beg for an alliance, just as you asked us for alliances a few weeks back. And you did ask BP for an alliance against SBI, I know this for a fact. Just as you clearly got at least passing consideration from Yaks against SBI and us. Mainly from the ONE guild who could not have been more obvious if they had waved a sign in front of their zerg that said “Coordinating on Teamspeak with ehmry here!” SE and other stayed classy though.

Thing is Ebay, I expect you won’t have as much luck this go around. Mainly because yaks is on to bigger and brighter futures in the Gold league, or whatever passes for that in Devons bright dream. And unlike Yaks, whatever server will be our third wheel will probably not be able to run Uplevel karma trains all day in exchange for your cooperation. So really, you have nothing you can offer them. So, this is the cold hard truth Ehmry. Yaks is gone, and you get to stay right here. With us. I hope the coming weeks will be as much fun for you as I know they will be for Borlis.

It’s pretty clear from what we’ve seen over the past few weeks that Gold League should have had the 3 tiers, and Silver the two tiers. Yaks, SBI and FA pretty much facerolled everyone else by about 100-200k points in every match up where they were not fighting each other. Something to probably keep in mind if ever this league misfortune is to be foisted on us again. As much as I like a challenge, I don’t think any of us wants to spend another 2 months helping one or two servers level their alts.

BS had fun fighting SE and ONE tonight on Ebay BL. Should do it again sometime.

I’m going to let all of you on BP in on a little secret. If you continue to kitten here on the forums people will begin to focus you too. Ebay has a reason to make sure your points stay below theirs. YB really doesn’t benefit either way. If Ebay is focusing you it is to lock 4th place not because they are allied with YB. We are here to win no matter what. If Ebay becomes a threat then the focus I assure you will switch. Please stop all the 2v1 crap. Lets have a fun competitive match for the final round without all the finger pointing.

Who honestly cares about threats like this. We’ve fought plenty of servers much stronger then we were who went absolutely crazy that we never rolled over and died, or paid them the deference their l33t skillz (high population) deserved. Yaks is no exception. What are you going to do? Attack our borderlands? :P Also, what others have said. This outcome does not matter, our placement in league is decided 100%. We just don’t like the idea of Ehmry ending up at the same rank as us by riding Yaks Bends coattails. Though to be fair, I think it speaks more to Ehmry that they have to do this then to anything else. If they want to be Yak’s minion server, I say let them. Not everyone is meant to be Alpha in life after all.

Meh, we knew going in Ebay would do what they’ve done all season and try to benefit off the stronger servers leavings. They sure have fallen a long way since the days of yore. But BP is not SBI either so we won’t go down easy. We may not have SBI’s numbers but what we do have knows what its doing

BS had a ton of fun tonight on both Yaks Bend BL and Ehmry BL (for our late night red eye flight). I hope the marker has been sufficiently placed that Borlis Pass is not SBI. When the tough gets going, we get to fighting. We may not be the largest server, but when you run into us prepare for the buzz saw! Looking foreword to this week!

Yeah, SBI and DB burned alot of us out. We were tired, and for reset night none of our usual commanders were on since they had been commanding for the major push Friday afternoon to close on our second place finish. Most of our players gave the entire weekend a pass too.

This is the thing about BP, it has a very dedicated core of players, but we kinda have a reverse fairweather problem. For easy weeks most of them don’t even really play. That’s why it seems like we suddenly had a population surge. Its the same population we’ve always had, you just have not seen them until Wednesday as they were all chilling out for the last couple of days :P

[Pink] is a server wide fun guild. Basically nobody reps it, except on Pink night when we all dye our armor humiliation pink and form a mega blob. Its the same people you see every other day, just all together at a set time.

BP your coverage the last few days has been crazy. Do you guys not have family’s at home ? (Joking) PvE patches usually kill our (CD) NA population, but I was hoping leagues would change that, oh well. Happy Thanksgiving to the US people and to everyone else good luck for the rest of the match up.

Actually, this is our usual coverage. Most of our people (like myself) have been relaxing after the war with Dragonbrand and SBI last week. Unfortunately this means CD has been able to keep close points with us, so people are starting to pay attention again.

Only recent transfer I am aware of is the Rekz guild. Our population has more or less been the same for about the last 4 months.

he was probably following it before we launched Operation Downfall. To be fair though, a no holds barred blitz on a Friday afternoon to close a 5k point deficit is not really something that happens all too much.

Today is clear evidence of BP’s fair weathering and broken ways.

SBI complaining about having coverage problems….

Actually Zara always does this on Fridays. Ask Dragonbrand, SBI is not special.

I sometimes wonder what it would be like to have so many people, but then a realize I probably would not like it. There is something to be said for being able to go to any map (even eternal) whenever you feel like it. Sure it usually means you have to fight a horde of zombies to get back your corner, but that has its own charm to it.

When about 15 of us flipped CD’s hills last night, no less then 80 SBI showed up to flip it themselves. Enough for a huge blob to roll into the lowlands camp and another huge blob to skip it and get straight for the hills gate.

I’m actually genuinely curious, what are SBI’s ques like in the evening? If you can que a map to get a single lone capture point (even if it is a keep) from 15 people, SBI’s players must be spending a whole ton of time twiddling their thumbs waiting to get onto a map. ANY map apparently.

Was a fun time in Eternal. I really did love how determined SBI was for taking Bravost tower. You guys definitely raised some hell, and most of the time I was almost certain we were all dead. But as they say, nothing ventured, nothing gained. Had some great fights tonight before the patch. From what I understand the PINK Zerg had a blast too after we passed the torch.

Just get out a weapon your class allows you to fire off an attack repeatedly with. Necromancer main hand dagger is a good example. after that just bang on the door while the rams are going. You will get credit.

People seem to be confused on this, and so am I. So, for those of us in North America who have our servers set to Pacific Standard Time, our resets have been at 6 PM PST. Will reset still be at 6 PST or 5 PST now because of daylight savings?

Again World Pop=/=WvW Pop. I dont know why people even consider comparing the two. One world is higher in pve and pvp so what. You guys have a large wvw pop with a lower PvE and PvP pop in general. Incidentally if we look at a SEA, or Euro time slot. IoJ and several other servers suddenly hit the High level of population as well. While others go to Very High.

Which matters in what way precisely? All you are saying is that as a Server we are more motivated to WvW then others. This is a bad thing how? IoJ ran into the buzz saw and completely missed the point of what is happening, and its the same mistake FA is making too. We are small, but we are good at what we do. Far better then most, and we make the best with what we got. And honestly fights like this one don’t phase us. If anything, they push us to improve. Sure, we have arguments over what is going on like any other server, but the fact is the chaff got burned from our server long ago and all that is left is one small, but nasty core of very skilled players who can take it to a tier 2 server that decided to tank its matches to play easy street in Silver League.

I have no desire to take advice from a server like FA that deliberately lost matches so it could spend 9 weeks playing it safe. They have nothing to teach us, unless the lesson is how to lose to Sanctum of Rall by enough points to drop a league.

So yeah, you have to ask yourself. How does a server with the same population density as Devonas Rest and LESS density then NSP become a top contender in Silver League. We don’t need FA’s advice, we know how the game is played. We do what we can with the cards we are dealt, and we are the most powerful medium population server in Guild Wars 2.

We have absolutely nothing to justify to anyone. Incidentally, its 11 PM on the North American East Coast, and only 8 servers are currently ranked as “High Population”. All others are ranked as “Very High”. Of those 8, only 2 are in Silver League. Borlis pass and Ehmry Bay. At our peak numbers, we rank amongst the Bronze league population, and at our weakest numbers you can transfer to our server for free.

So the question I must ask now, why hasn’t FA and NSP ground us into tiny, tiny pieces yet? You guys can keep trolling us, but honestly I think FA should accept the shame that they let a server with the same field capacity of Tier 8 land over 100,000 points on them.

I don’t think the frustration on the BP side is about the blobs per se. The frustration is about the blobs lasting all the time and never ending. Keep in mind, Borlis Pass has the same population density as Devonas Rest and NSP. We can punch above our weight through some of our major guilds and a server that is, as a whole, very WvW centric. But the numbers in end do wear down. Before Reset night for example, NSP was rated as “Very High” density while BP was only “High”.

Simply put, yes, Borlis can field “blobs” the same way FA can. But we can’t do it all the time, and on multiple maps like FA can. In point of fact, we actually like it that way. We can WvW whenever we want, there are no ques and almost never any skill lag. Its what makes the game fun for us. Some people get frustrated in the end and flip out over getting run over by servers with Very High Density 24/7 whenever we face them, but for the most part the rest of us take in stride.

The biggest thing about BP is our persistence, more so then anything else. Those of us who have been on it enough get this survivors mentality. We just don’t quit. The same people will be on the field regardless of how dire the situation is. And as a Server that likes to punch above its weight, its often very dire. But unlike most servers that have broken under the pressure, BP endures, much to the chagrin of people who would say we won’t or don’t.

Indeed, because reset night is hardly 24/7 and like most mortals we require, food, sleep, and a life outside the game. So while we “can” field 60 people, we cannot do it all the time.

Why is FA so determined to say BP is upset? I’m having a blast this week. No ques and everywhere I go huge fights and lots of loot bags. This is a match up that makes Borlis pass so awesome. FA has to sit around for hours for the distinct honor of being machine gunned down assaulting to the defenses of Lowlands and Garrison whereas we can just drop in whenever the mood strikes us and immediately its WW3.

We are looking at the same Mini Map right? I see 80 green dots moving in a single line, running over a bunch of people and collecting bags, no maneuver, all the commander says is push.

What exactly, is the skill involved in this?

The only reason to transfer is for WvW since you can guest to do PvE and sPvP is not server based. A bottom tier server costs the same to transfer too as a tier 1 server. So the incentive to transfer is solely based on WvW ability.

Actually, NSP has a higher pop then BP. Its just more of our population plays WvW from what I gather. Looking at the fluctuations in our densitity (High, to Very High down to Medium) Borlis Pass appears to have about the same density as Henge of Denravi or Devonas Rest.

FA really wants BP garrison. They really, really want it.

Had fun on reset on IoJ borderlands. Taking Garrison was cool, but really the punitive attack on Dragonbrands bay in IoJ was the most fun. There is something satisfying about righteous retaliation to truly let the people involved know we can go wherever we want and nobody can stop us no matter how hard they try.

2 weeks ago people got randomly disconnected for no reason, at a rate of about 50% of anyone who tried to log onto the map.

Last week, the maximum que was about 40 people.

Tonight, the Maximum que is about 40 people.

For gods sake fix this! This league stuff means we suffer long term consequences for bugs like this. My blood pressure is spiking. We’ve been submitting bug reports for weeks now about the state of the borderlands. Everyting from Random disconnects, system crashes all on down to kittened small ques. What is going on Anet?

Well, I am happy to report the Bug on Borlis Borderlands (Green) that caused people to disconnect randomly has been fixed.

Of course, now our maximum defensive que is around 40 people. With predictable results. For the first time in my life I have seen an enemy put 3 waypoints in our borderlands, and I STILL cannot get people on our map to clean them out. Every time I try, half my guild/followers ends up qued out. And we end up with 30-40 people tops. The fact that we are able to hang on by our fingernails like this is a miracle in and of itself.

Thank you for all the bags you have graciously donated to the evil empire on reset night on EBG with your tactics of focusing all of your attacks on YB non-stop. Both EB and BP love to take the advantage of having the one server draw us away while the other launch an attack at SM or the towers on the other side YB’s area while staying away from each other’s area. Running away from us will only temporary delay the inevitable of your demise, although it was fun chasing your group across the map. But in the end we will find you and you will be face the wrath of the evil empire so just graciously hand us the goodies and drop dead.
