I am only sad because I am on a full server and my friend just got the game being interested in the WvW and he cant join me :/ So we are waiting to see if it will ever open lol

Applied, Im super looking forward to hopefully getting to know you guys and making lasting friendships.

So pretty much I play GW2 for 15 minutes or so and then it freezes showing where i was in game (no blank screen or anything, just frozen like a screenshot)and not only the game but also my computer. I cannot use alt tab, i cannot use control alt delete and I cannot use the windows key. Its just frozen and I have to hard reset my computer.

This started happening yesterday when I started playing WvW. It has only crashed like this while playing WvW. No other games do this. Not a one, just GW2.

I am running the 64 client
I have windows 10 64 bit
I have 8 gigs of RAM
My graphics card is AMD Radeon HD 7700
My CPU is AMD FX 6300 Six Core

Any idea whats going on?

I just posted something similar. (I couldnt find this one!) And maybe it will be deleted, but I think as a community and family (Id hope) that we could make sure they know we are thinking of them. Ill probably get yelled at by people too. Ah well.

My bestie and I are starting our path to a guild hall too for our 2 man guild (just him and i). Congrats on yours and wish us luck!

What people dont understand is with a little hard work, you can do it too, even with 2 people

Ill have you know my 2 man guild is working on our guild hall right now. And with a little work and time, it will be upgraded the way we see fit. Yeah maybe it will take 80x longer, but it will happen. So guild halls for everyone!

You make a lot of gold in HoT maps. I find it refreshing. The little baubles you get from chests, if you accumulate a few you can make some nice gold there (I had 17 baubles worth about 5+ gold), plus rares you get and salvage them for ectos etc. I make more gold exploring HoT in a day than I used to grinding out SW or something. More fun too.

So i guess.. play the game? I dont know. Good luck.

I am sure they are working on things and listening to feedback to incorporate in said things. But what some people have to understand is that they cant just say, “oh hey, thats a good idea, lets roll out a patch in the next 10 minutes.” I am pretty sure it takes a weeee bit longer than that.

I do not have a problem with how we have to get masteries and that we have to get certain ones to do certain things. I just go to another map, get the mastery and then come back to the event I cant do. But I am also one of the few that thought lowering the amount of HPs to get the elites was ridiculous and was fine the way it was.

As for grindy, I can see it in the Tyrian mastery track. I think something should be done about that, but everything else is pretty easy and not very grindy to me. Ive played some grindy games in my time… and this is definitely not as grindy as it could be.

My opinions of course. Hopefully I didnt offend anyone.

Good thing you can choose not to play it, while others do.

I play a pure condimancer and using sceptor/dagger for single target I sustain conditions very well. Torment and bleeds are insane. Id say 2-3k per tick single target? Not too bad combined with the initial dps hit at around 2k.

Staff as a secondary I do up to 4-5k per tick. It varies.

I never lose stacks either, so its really nice. I think Necro is like the best condi damage class, but I am bias. lol A lot of people will say engineer is the best. But I personally think necro does the best job for my play style.

Oh honey, if you want grind and a cash sink, go play Perfect World.
GW2 isnt even close (thank goodness).

Well then youll be crashing until they fix performance issues. If they do. I built mine to play this game before it came out but I still cant play it in all of its glory. I really think they should look into that. :/ But I dont know

But the expansion is going to be constantly updated with new content. I am pretty sure that is what they said. I dont understand this lack of content thing going around.

The best guess is Tuesday, the logic being that Tue is normal patch day and the Halloween stuff in the gem store runs out about then.

Honestly, I took Graphic Design/Game Design in college before switching to another major, I took one class on Game Coding and its so hard.. looking for errors in all of that code is a lot of work. Its going to take time and sometimes you cant give an accurate time frame as to when it will be fixed.

And I mean, I only took one class. I have no idea how hard it is with a game this big. I was only working on a small ball bouncing game as a project lol. It really takes so much time, I couldnt believe that something so simple had so much code.

Yep, its a graphic problem. Ive never crashed in this game but my friend does in larger events so he has to turn his graphics down. We have told several people to do this and it has fixed the crashing problem. I mean, it could be something else, but Ive noticed that this is what fixes it.

But I dont care about that.

For some reason I cannot find an end date lol Can someone answer this? Thanks.

Id like to get a Mentor tag so that I can help the map.
Also, I can use it as a stand in if there arent any commanders around. I wont be using it much, but I do think it will be good so I can help out when needed.

I expected it to be how it is now honestly. Constantly evolving and experimenting. GW1 is GW1. GW2 was never to be anything like it. I left GW1 in the past where it belongs when I got GW2.

I now only have fond memories in which I cherish from the first one. I think a lot of people would be a lot happier if they stopped trying to compare/make GW2 into GW1 with shinies.

It is what it is, and I enjoy it immensely. Of course, that is my opinion as we all have one.

I do 4-5k bleeds a tick on my necro atm. Along with poison, torment, chill etc etc get 2-3k per tick.

Its my own build. Ive run condimancer for a long time. Its very fun.

I get it every so often still :/ it took me 3 times to get in this time and i am afraid to move maps lol

This expansion is wonderful. Good Job. Totally worth the 100 dollars. I think my money has went to good use!

I am a ToT farmer and I am sorry these people are mean to you :/ My friend and I always ask if we see someone killing them, we say “Do you need these for your achievements?” So that if they do, we will leave and find somewhere else. But most of the time, people always come over and kill them for no reason I am guessing to get a rise out of us. Which doesnt work because.. well I am not petty like that. We also ask if they want to join us, which we have had some success with. But we had a few people call us names and troll us lol Not much we can do I guess.

Your philosophy is good only issue is that HoT is going to be like an old western land grab. There will be new markets and things opening up and opportunities that open and close in those first few weeks. In the same boat, love the Halloween event but wish it had started earlier this year to allow people to relax and enjoy both versus having to choose between them. But, it is what it is. Good gaming to you!

Plus, if I am correct, doing some Halloween stuff might count towards Tyrian Masteries which are coming with HoT.

Halloween is temporary, so if youre not in a huge rush to complete HoT stuff, just spend your time on Halloween. HoT will be there when youre done
