So no duel swords for WvW then? I never got around to using the bug or WvW in general yet so I don’t know what it entailed anyway. I am still going to try and work around this I think.
Ok, here’s the deal. You used to be able to use ‘swap’ even after the clone died. It would move you to the clone’s last position and do the cleaving immobilize. This is the only thing that lets it be used in many situations.
In pve, the clone often gets instakilled by aoes, and this used to let you sorta plan a safe route to leap to and/or get through a nasty area. Now you can’t.
In pvp, the clone will often be cleaved down. You used to be able to use this to your advantage, sending the clone through a place you wanted to go to put a tether to go back to. Now you can’t.
In large group WvW, the clone dies almost instantly. The only reason this skill worked at all was this now removed functionality.
To expand on wvw and mainhand sword. Blurred frenzy will kill you on retaliation. The autoattack is not particularly high damage. Now the third skill is completely useless. I honestly can’t see a reason to use mainhand sword in wvw now. In fact, I only see reasons to actively avoid it.
Yep this nerf makes sword almost useless in WvW now and just makes PU condi builds more popular, what a joke.
That sword 3 ability was also very useful as a stun break in wvw and spvp, now they complete destroy it, I guess they want every mesmer to play PU condi in WvW and I hate playing condi classes. This nerf was completely unwarranted.
Since you’re new you probably don’t understand that this is kind of a karma thing for HoD. In fact, more players are laughing about your servers situation then HoD has people crying about it on their server.
That’s nice and all, and I know why some people laugh about it. But we didn’t recruit anybody for the tournament, we didn’t buy guilds, we didn’t pay people to man siege at all hours of the day. We were a free transfer server, and when the tourney ended, all the people that transferred over for a free 1st place transferred out.
Karma would entail that we did something bad, and now something bad should happen to us, correct? We didn’t do anything wrong. We had no control over Anet’s allowance of free transfers. I feel sorry for anyone who thinks that we “deserve” this and revel in it.
You werent trying to recruit? FKB members were in our cities spamming recruitment messages on our servers general chat saying to join the winning team the week of free xfers.
Not our fault it takes so long to move up a tier because of glicko. We had to do literally the same thing to nsp/sf to finally get out of tier 5 and now look at those 2 servers, they are tanking and can’t even hold there own anymore and we had to face them for a month straight. While BP was in t4 the entire time where we should have been.
Crystal Desert would be more than happy to trade spots with you. We grow tired of SF/NSP and fear we may be in T5 at least another week since BP is leaching off of HoD’s rating.

I do not see how it is fair that the servers that ended up last place in the tournament now can get the mistforge hero’s weapon skin (ty to the extra 100 tickets) same as for example 2nd place servers. If i would of knowen that I would get one of those skins even if my servers sucks, i would of just did the achievments and relax. Dont get me wrong, i apreciate the gesture but in my opinion the “reward” for u guys being late wth the distribution should of been something else and not tickets that allow everybody now to have one of those skins. Before this i was like " kitten yes, i will have a skin that will be somewhat rare", NOW i am like " great another skin that everybody has".

Why should bottom gold not get weapons but top silver does? And vice versa for silver to bronze. All the servers who ended up at the bottom of gold and silver had to do was tank there rating right before season started to get far easier matchups if they wanted, but they didnt. The whole leagues thing is a joke anways and what happened with HoD should prove that. They get free xfers and boost all the way to winning silver and cant even last 2 weeks post seasons before tanking and will likely end up in bronze tiers. WvW seasons are a joke.
In my opinion the Mist Forged weapons should have been something for the winners. A unique item which says “Hey, we were number one!”. If everyone has it, it no longer is unique. Its more like “I did WvW for a bit, look what I got”.
This new thing you added to the black lion chest called Mystery Booster must of been something your development team was working on for a while so why didn’t you make it so Glory boosters converted to them instead of simply deleting hundreds of glory boosters from players. I think its ridiculous that myself and other players were calling for something like this, to be able to convert Glory Boosters into other boosters before you destroyed them all and not long after you did yourelease this new Mystery Booster. Why Anet?
Could still use 1 or 2 early NA/east coast guilds and players. Also an EU guild to help in the EU timeslot. OCX/Sea is good atm but isn’t filled, could always use more. We almost never have ques so you don’t have to worry about that if you come here. We are hanging around the t4/5 area currently and trying to move up to the t3/4. We also are in no risk of tanking or having an exodus like other servers have been doing.
Ever since the Festival of the Four Winds update(5/20) came out my game isn’t patching correctly and I’m almost 100% certain it’s not on my end. Updates like what just came out right now take hours to download or I have to stop them completely and try again another time because it doesnt download at all, when it use to download instantly. I’m afraid I am now going to miss WvW reset tonight(2hrs from now) because of your latest patch, why does it take so long to download? Can you stop releasing pointless patches until you fix this problem first, I know others who are affected by this as well, so I know I’m not alone. It literally freezes at 0.0kb/second until the error message pops up, nothing I can do.

The amount of people playing asuran in this tourny is ridiculous and something needs to be done to nerf or change asurans. It is so much harder to see asuran animations compared to the other races because of how tiny they are and gives them a huge advantage in pvp, especially in team fights where you have to be keeping track of multiple people and what abilities they are casting but it’s impossible when the entire enemy team is asura. I can’t see how anet can be this incompetent and not realize this after so long.
They don’t have to change it at all, don’t save WvW for last and you won’t have a problem. You won’t be the same color every week, possibly for months in a row like in the old days. So you should have no problem getting all you need in a few weeks, and if you had not saved WvW for last it’s possible you would have already had all the maps completed.
There use to be a guy who would follow my old guild for what happened to be weeks and drop siege at gates we were about to ram or turn trebs/catas 180degrees around if we had to stack for a fight for a second or even portal us in the complete opposite direction when we were about to portal bomb something and needed multiple ports because we would run on average 30+. We would run pinless some nights and he would still follow us map to map harassing us, dropping null field when we were trying to static blast for swiftness. Even after all the reports we filed against him he never got banned/suspended. Unfortunately anet doesn’t really care.
8v8 is so inaccurate as to how you’re supposed to play the game and made it so that new people have no idea how to do actual 5v5s when they solo queue.
It’s much better off just being an extra thing for hot joins rather than the main mode that it used to be. Also it’s not like finding games is actually that hard.
And what about skyhammer? Your not suppose to win fights by knocking your opponents off the map how about outskilling them, yet they left that in the game. If anything has done more harm to the pvp community in this game its that map and that should be removed, not 8v8’s.
Agreed, the only thing I’ve liked from this patch so far is account bound wxp and account wide dyes. Other than that this patch has been a huge disapointment to me personally.
A good scout and well placed siege can really ruin a golem rush even when outnumbered. It’s just there is no incentive or reward to scouting inside a keep several hours so no one wants or is willing to do it.
I’m curious who these 5-6 guilds who left from CD to HoD are. As a players whos been on CD since day 1 the only guild thats left to HoD was kome, not sure where your getting your info. You also say it severely lacks numbers and skill but I dont remember ever losing to NSP ppt wise, and we have always stomped them in open field.
CD has lost guilds but you know what? We are in the same exact position we were in months ago right at the start of season 1 even after losing over half a dozen guilds. CD will never die.
got so many glory boosters that i could literally have them active permanently; they are WORTHLESS. why should we get anything for something that has no value?
Anet disagrees and has had a value of 5 for 450gems since launch, or else they would be free.
I think they should either give us the option to turn them into any booster of our choice, sorta like what they did with MF gear when they removed that OR give us gems based off how many booster we have. I think it was 5 boosters for 450 gems or something like that right before they took them off the BLTC, so just give players who have lots of boosters gems so they can spend it on other stuff. It really isn’t fair to players that bought them with gems for them to be deleted and at the very least not refunded, so while they are at it they should just give all players with glory boosters equal value gem wise even if you have hundreds stockpiled.
After a year and a half this is what anet gives us. A giant barren map with a few veterans and champs scattered around and bs terrain like skyhammer that killed structured. What a waste of development time.
So what your saying is that inactive accounts might be inflating the server population count? If thats the case they should rework their system to not include inactive accounts if true, but I dont think it is, anet would be smarter than that.
With every server, at least NA servers being classified as “Very High” population at the time of this posting, do you guys have any plans to make new ones? My home server is CD and Idk about anyone else here but CD doesn’t seem like a server that should be classified as Very High, probably not even high with the massive amount of players and guilds we have lost since the beginning of League Season 1. But if servers are starting to max out as it seems they are, why not add another 3 servers to lessen the loads on the current ones.
If it was a zoom hack I would be mad too. But it wasn’t. Should of noted where the ac was and what type of gate that tower has. Go try it yourself.

As much as I hate zoomhacker’s I’m going to have to say thats not zoomhacking, you can see through the grate area in the below SS and kill anything in that area. Langor a AC near gate can take out that treb too. And yes zoomhacking is very bad on Ebay, most of there commanders do it and its pathetic.
If making money is what their plan is which is the whole point of the gemstore, they should have made the price of these items much lower as more people would have bought them. At over $3 a piece or ~19g, most people will never buy this item so they lose a lot of sales. I personally will never buy this item because the price makes it not worth it, I could purchase almost 2 traveler runes at the price of 1 of these items. Lower prices=more sales=more money.

1366×768 cant get an angle and neither can I when I stretch my window all the way either. The facts are there in the videos, this isnt the first time I caught him and he has been doing this all week. The reason I placed my AC in that spot to begin with is because I know it cant be shot by legitimate ways in that spot UNLESS you build an AC right on the gate which was impossible as I was already shooting the gate. Here’s a screenshot of when I stretch my window as wide as possible and its still not able to see me. He knew right away where I was with that AC, even with it hiding behind a wall.

Plus, the good thing about streaming is its not done on cassette tape material. That means you can just click to any part you want and play. You don’t have to wait to rewind or fastforward. I was able to just click at 403 to see the inner arrow cart. Then i just clicked back to the start of the video to see nobody manning it although the golem was being ac’ed from somewhere. Then I watched more of the video and seen a guy acing from outside the gari with a closed gate. Amazing (the streaming tech not the cheating).

Ebays best commander aragorn strikes again! What is his response when I call him out in whispers? Simply a smily face with no denying the fact hes doing it. Also I would be more inclined to delete this stuff but its clear your community/server in general doesn’t care enough to ask/tell him to stop doing it and as he continues to do it. If this happened on CD with one of our commanders, that person would be reprimanded and mass reported. This happened 10mins ago too btw brand new video, not from league over a month ago, which I’m sure he has been doing since then and much longer.
So this happened last night again by the same guy Aragorn nonetheless, I was unable to record him doing it but several CD players said it was happening while trying to defend against him. It’s really pathetic that not only is this guy still a commander on Ebay but he is doing stuff like this while he is Commanding. This video is over a month old and was recorded during league and thought it would be important to show it again after what was happening last night.
Everyone I played with on blackgate expected a chest full of greens. We did not expect the finisher to be limited use. That’s insulting – it’s like taking away your bragging rights after a herculean effort by the entire server. Make the finisher permanent and I’ll be happy.
They said before season even started it would be limited use.
Only ones complaining are people who haven’t wvw’d before leagues came out or people who bandwagoned to JQ in hopes of getting first and an easy reward at the end. I’m glad the reward chest is bad because all it would do is encourage bandwagoning to the top servers come Season 2 and would kill off several of the smaller servers like my own. I’ve complained about decisions Anet has made in the past but this certainly wont be one of them.
I like it, it’s a good way to prevent everyone from bandwagoning to the top servers because they would rather pay to win than work hard for a few weeks and actually help there home server.

Not really, they had 7 weeks to do it and can just delete it if they cant open it. I have tons of the black lion chests sitting in my bank that I will never be able to open and that doesnt bother me. Either way I really hope chest is rewarded tonight and not on a patch.

Say you earned 500glory on average a match you were getting 50,000glory at the end of matches and they never rolled back the people who benefited from this the first day which was stupid. So you have some people with millions of glory that benefited from this that never had that glory taken from them. No one cared about glory and this bug before because it was worthless but if your putting stuff in the game that makes it actually worthwhile thats not fair to legit players and players who didn’t benefit from the bday bug/skyhammer farming.
