I don’t see what the problem is here, the game needs something like this or it just becomes boring. A few daily’s and monthly jugs along with a few hours in Orr will net you an easy exotic set at no cost but a little time. Best thing to do is get this Orr set as a defensive set and use it as your dungeon set, then farm dungeons with this set to go for your DPS PvP set. You can get a max exotic weapon from the TP for like 2-3 gold to start off.
It was a kittening joke it include precursors in the kitten chest in the first place… then make the thing buggy as kitten to where some people just waste time and nothing more or had to work, then kittening patch the kitten thing out of the game when we coud get on. I have no problem with one time events but disagree with putting the kittening top tier items in along with it bad kittening move. I kittening hate the way anet is running GW2. to bad GW1 is a kittening ghost town or I would just go back to playing that.
I agree with Lyell, no kittening apprecation. I have played GW1 sence beta and still play it love the game, but holy kitten GW2 is a joke and the events are horse kitten. kitten this.
I just broke you’re kitten scale there is now mercury everywhere and it’s going to poison my cuts and now I’m going to die. If the scale did not bust I would say a 3.
So for the players who could not make it on in time due to work don’t get a freaking precursor? I’m really starting to hate this game played GW1 sense beta and never have a seen such BS from this company. If this is the way things are going to go I think I may just toss this game in the trash and say forget it. Why should I have to grind 300+ gold why everyone else gets it for free.
You also forgot mystic coin, random item, and 9 achievement points as well, but yes, yes I did. Why? I seen no update about server time not moving along with DST, So I assumed it would change with DST and stay the same time as always.

I finished daily with 2 minutes to spare only to find out a wasted 30+ silver teleporting all over the place to find events and you guys did not even update the servers to change with daylight savings time? So is it going to change or do I have to do things an hour earlier? What the hell… kitten Anet
My conditionmancer melts everything in the area… Stack about 10-15 bleeds / Poison in a matter of seconds on a single target pop BiP (insta 10might) then Epidemic, lay down a CPC and watch the hundreds flood the screen. Sure my Ranger SB is going to do more damage on a single target faster, but the conditionmancer really shines with a lot of targets and I believe will put you at the top of damage charts in large fights. Not only that with Perc/Tough/Cond gear you have high crit to start the chain faster scepter still hits very hard on single target auto attack because of all the crits and you have survivability. I play a 20/30/10/10 condition build.
PS: I would never use wells in there current state.
Another reason some people make only female characters is because they used it as an advantage in a lot of other games. There are many FPS and MMOS you can use it with. A few examples are smaller models are harder to see or click on. Another example would be The female model has smaller hit boxes thus harder to shoot and so on. A lot of casual gamers do not see this advantage, but there is a lot of others who do see this and use it. I have talked to many “pro” gamers and this is the only reasons they pick a female model.
Killing like 5 mobs to unlock the next skill is not really grinding, You would have hated playing GW1 unlocking skills on there was harder, took lots of time even endgame areas to finish a build, and! it cost a lot of money after so many skills. They made it so kitten easy on GW2. Thinking about it… They made it to easy.
Now this is where I want to tell you what I hate about Factions (Vigil, Order of Whispers, and the Durmand Priory) I picked one faction but I don’t want the armor from that faction I want one part of the armor from a different faction. Yet you have to be from that faction to get it.
First, we can’t repick our factions.
Second, Armor is all soulbound upon acquisition.
What I’m asking here is make the faction armors account bound so If I pick another faction on a alt and level it up I can get that one part of gear from the alts faction and transmute it to my main.

Indeed, all personal preference and play style. I don’t use them when I run with others or do dungeons for the reason I don’t want them agro’ing everything in site.
It’s not just you… my necromancer does the same thing sometimes. They just randomly stop attacking stuff and sit there like they have down’s syndrome or somthing. One way I have found to fix this problem is to use the minions ability skills, it will make them attack again, but be warned using the Golem’s charge ability can pull more mobs then you may want if you are not careful, happen to me a few times.

2. I did say that interviews info etc is posted on Facebook and not on the forums
If you want this type of information, like them on facebook. If you don’t, then don’t. Facebook is free-to-use you know.

Clearly you are not understanding that I do not use social networking sites nor will I ever use them in the future, you can just stop right now with sales pitch. Why should I or any other be required to opt-in to a 3rd party website to get information when there is already a main forum and site?
PS: the news and announcements on Facebook almost always is just a link to the forum post.

Thank you, your opinion’s are more then welcome here. I just want to keep this thread clean as to not give them a reason to just close and ignore, but there has been a few instances where they did not add certain information to the forums.
Guilty of it? I think it is great that companies use social media to spread information. It is one of the most effective means of doing so (and yes it’s easy and cheap).
That said, I follow GW2 on facebook, and I do not find they post a lot there that I do not see on the forums as well. The biggest things that don’t cross over might be news regarding upcoming interviews etc.
Over 800,000 people like their facebook page, so it is certainly a great way to spread the word. I’d imagine more players see information on facebook than the forums. This may be ANets best way to reach the broadest audience.

I said, I am perfectly fine with them doing that. That’s not really my concern. I’m just asking that don’t leave out important information on the forums like events or update notes, even if small.

My topic is a legitimate argument. Almost all companies are guilty of this practice it’s easy and cheap advertising. You add them to your social networking site of choice and now your whole friends/followers now see it. The reason I brought this up was because there was an update note that I missed because someone said they never posted it on the forums but they did indeed post it to twitter.
I’m just asking if they want to add it to these social networking sites, please for the love of god add it on the forums as well. The forums should ALWAYS be the first place anything is added.

Please don’t update special or important news to only Facebook and not update that information on the forums or main webpage. I’m sick of you guys doing this. I don’t use social networking sites and I HATE it when companies add everything to these networking sites and leave that information off the main forums or website. I know the only reason you guys do this for the cheap advertisement and I’m fine with that, but if you add it to a networking site please also add it to the forums. Thanks!
Tried 4 or 5 times, then said “nope, I’m’a farm some more candy corns.” Been happy since.
When I made this map I was HOPING that people who aren’t into jumping would do exactly this. They’d see a fun Halloween looking environment, maybe get to the first chest and snag a goodie, then be on their merry way. I see now it was a mistake to make the hardest jumping challenge in the game part of an in-your-face update like a holiday event. I’m not going to stop making difficult stuff like this, they just won’t be so prominent in the future. I honestly hate making people upset and have a very high level of empathy. So it’s been hard hearing all the people that are so angry, frustrated and sad because of something I’ve made. But it’s just another lesson learned.
No! and I want to repeat this loud and clear DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING YOU ARE DOING. I loved the challenge and just the reward of beating it for the first time was an awesome feeling. Killing the Mad King was by far the best thing this Halloween, I have waited 7 years to do this, but my second favorite thing about this event was indeed that clock tower!
At this point it wouldn’t be fair to add that achievement. There are only a few days left and for many players an achievement is a strong incentive to complete things. So the players who just gave up because there wasn’t one attached to this jumping puzzle and chose to do something else instead, might not have the time anymore to obtain it anymore.
If there was an achievement from the start, then it would’ve been fair.
What in the living hell are you talking about boy. There has always been an achievement for the clock tower it’s called… Mad King’s Clock Tower – Worth 10 points. I don’t understand what you are getting at here?
Well I was just thinking… and the reason I thought there should be one for this is because of it’s difficulty. I mean come on, you get a title for running around Lions Arch mindlessly mashing “Use Key” on pumpkins, but not for something that is hard and takes a lot of time and dedication for most people to finish and not give up. I spent three hours myself before I got it the first time and I seen a lot of people give up and leave.
It took three hours, dedication, and maybe my neighbors thinking I have Tourette’s syndrome, but I did it!
I did it for fun and honestly dont think jumping once should give a title , lets make 100 completions . then ok , i think we deserve a title.
It was a hard jumping puzzle. Some people spent 10+ straight hours doing just that to complete it, that’s A LOT of time spent just doing one jump puzzle and I think it should be rewarded with a title. A title is not game changing, it’s not going to hurt anything. I’m guessing you did not complete it or gave up and don’t want others to display something they worked hard for? Maybe you did, just an presumption.

Agreed! Give us a title for doing the clock tower achievement since it seems to be “so hard”. Everyone and there mothers will have Emissary of the Mad King, give us people who spent the time learning this thing a title!
What? he’s clearly asking if Anet will remove them after the event is over, because he wants to keep a few as a memento just in case they don’t have them next or any other year. Some people like to collect things, you should have seen the junk bugged items I have sold to users in GW1 for A LOT of platinum.
I have played GW1 since release and they have never removed event items from peoples inventories or anything else that I can think of. Something tells me Mad King Chests were a way to stop the forum babies and give them a second chance so they may not have them again, you never know.
Tell you the truth, that cauldron in the center of LA is 100x harder then the Mad King’s Clock tower for me. I can get the clock tower every 1 in 5 tries, finished it about 15 to 20 times now. The cauldron I have only made once and gave up on future attempts. The problem is that there is so much kitten lag in LA I just end up over running on the platforms in LA and fall.
Seriously guys? With all the devastation this storm has bring, all you guys can think about is if your going to miss an event. I mean come on really it’s just a video game. People are without power and supplies why many more are displaced. I don’t live in the area but if I did I would not be concerned about a video game, I would be out there seeing what I could do to help. Now put down your keyboards and get out there! My heart truly goes out to these people.
Hes just mad because he took off work thinking he was going to get a bunch of loot and skins. Why is everyone so dependent on having to get items for it to be fun, what ever happen to just enjoying the great content and game play. Stop with your kitten sense of entitlement for items and just enjoy the event.

They picked a time that there is most players online.
I’m sure they have their reasons. An example could be one time items maybe that you will be able to get. If they hosted it on different servers at different times whats stopping people from flooding into them other servers, since… well you know, there is no cost to change server just a 24 hour wait. What ever there reason is who cares. If you can’t be there, you can’t be there.
You soud like the max model size Charrs and Norn who would curse me out for casting hounds of balthazar before the JP started, yet they are 10x the distraction as my hounds would ever be.
Agreed best JP ever, though I wish they would add a solo mode. beat this over 12 times now and still have fun, but the first time when you are rushing for the achievement can really piss a person off when you have charr and norn 50 feet tall blocking your veiw. Really though, anything after getting the achievement is just fun.
Please tone down your filter a bit, I mean it’s nice to have but come on I think the filter itself is a little excessive. I have been in Mad Kings Labyrinth telling people where the doors are at North East, South West, Champion up Center, Champion Up South East… anyways you get the point. I say this one or two times per a door, the freaking doors do not spawn that fast where it should put me on the kitten excessive messaging list for 20mins COME THE HELL ON, REALLY ANET?
OMFG another QQ thread… You knew that you where taking a CHANCE to get a skin by opening a BLC. No one put a kitten gun to your head and made you spend your paycheck on them keys.

I put 20$ towards the lotto once a year not because I know I will get them millions but because just maybe one year I might. 20$ a year is all I’m willing to spend.
Bull… 15 players and half of them being charr and norn is a big problum clocktower is a breeze after you get past all the blob of mass on the screen, I have beat this thing about 10 times. and the easiest times were when there was very few players who were there or if they all fell right away.
I did it on 3 level 20 alts with no help, once I had someone res me at a ghost but that was about it.
Now stop your complaining and pay attention to were you are running if you can’t avoid it use what skills you have or dodge, mobs lose agro very fast. Things to look out for are Ranged mobs and Risen.
Ranged mobs will get about two to three shots off on you if you don’t use speed you can dodge these very easy pan camera around and run. If it happens to get three shots well I hope you have a skill to stop it from hitting you.
Risen, well just try to avoid these at all cost most of them have an ungodly speed buff and there will be nothing you can do to outlive them if they argo they will one shot you. Invisibility or a Blink is about all that will save you.
PS: I seen a level 8 and 11 get the last book so please… this is 100% doable on low levels.
