But how about custom slots (sell them by 5 in the gem store)
And when an item is in this slot, all other items in the inventory will respond to “deposit all materials”
runes.. RUNES.. RUUUUUNNNNNNNEEEEEEESSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!
Their description says ‘crafting material’ they fill up my crafting bags, well, if they wanna be crafting materials so bad, let them be crafting materials (#deposit-all-for-runes-2K16)
EDIT: Okay, so they won’t do runes and sigils. But in that case please don’t let them fill up my crafting material bags!!

check your mouse. I had the same issue for days and kept wondering why I was loosing target at some point. It didnt stop. Then I tested my mouse with photoshop, simply clicking and moving and I saw an additional dot sometimes. The mechanic was broken and did doubleclicks from time to time which made me loose my target. Try to clean the mechanic with some air pressure.
Ill give that a try
Edit: it was of no difference to the targeting, sadly

Can we all agree that the lich is part of the LGBT community?
Sure!
No, I wont have the lgbt community anex an asexual, agendered creature for their agendas!
The lich is a genderless being. it’s a floating skeleton cloaked in shadows and rags tethers.
It can’t be male, it has no hips to have bell hanging on. It can’t be female it has no fatty on its chest. its genderless
Yea, it’s kinda he’s called the Labyrinthine Horror when it’s clearly us. The giant clob of mortal creatures who, despite our mortality, come in swinging oversized weapons slaughtering poor skeletons and spiders and candygolems by the thousands. They’re horrors? yea right?
That’s really disappointing – I was expecting instanced glider training – like a progressive tutorial & obstacle course kind of thing.
So when I fill the mastery bar, they will just pop out on their own when I jump while falling, or will I need to equip them somehow?
Thanks!
Not quite.
1. Select the mastery in your mastery catalog to begin accumulating EXP for this track.
2. Earn the necessary mastery points (indicated by green suns on the map and in the achievement list)
3. Once the masterybar has filled up, you need to pay to the amount of masterypoints as indicated (I think the first one is just 1 or 2 points)
4. You will be rewarded with a basic glider (which is already unlocked) and you can press jump while falling to deploy it (and jump again to disable it)
Maybe it’s important to note as well:
Gliding is a HoT mastery > As such only exp earned WITHIN the jungle counts to the track.
You cannot level HOT masteries in Core tyria,
Nor can you level Core masteries in HOT maps
I don’t feel ya. My RTI guild still takes me (as a necro) on their kill runs and we’re no slower to kill most bosses. In fact, they even ask me for some bosses because necro can still do decent condi damage, plus as a non-reaper, I can pull people who’ve downed in hostile grounds. Extremely useful at VG, Gorseval and Matthias
Thats the issue though. Necros are still useful, just have a slight damper on dps. Its the “elitist raid groups” we are mostly talking about eith the raid issue because they cant look past the fact that “oh reaper dps was nerfed so they are no good”. And I hate that….I enjoyed using my reaper in Raids and im glad at least some people still take a use for it, however its nowhere near what it used to be because people have tunnel vision.
Agreed, I concede they do less damage, but not insufficient damage.
But my opinion is, a good group of skilled players should be able to look past this (within a realm of margin, of course). I never enjoy playing with elitist groups because there is only perfect or wrong for them. This is why I only raid with RTI and don’t pug. Most people with RTI have a common sense so they know. Of course if a group has several more less than optimal players then of course some rectification is requested.
do you have ‘Promote Skill Target’ enabled? this tends to help with keeping a target, even if your camera changes angles, or the enemy runs off somewhere
I’ve tried that, yes.

When you open the Build tab you’ll see three trait slots
[NORMAL]
[NORMAL]
[ELITE]
The elite has a fancier background as well.
[NORMAL] slots can only hold Normal Traitlines: Blood, Curses, Death etc.
[ELITE] slot can hold both the Normal traitlines, as well as the elite traitlines. The reasoning behind this is, so that when the next expansion comes out, you have to choose between 2 elite traitlines, and can never equip both.
So if you got the traitline unlocked, select the lowest box, and select the traitline. If the option is STILL not there, report it using the ingame bug-tool which allows you to make a screenshot. (or make a screenshot of both the training tab and built tab and upload it here)
Destroy Lion’s Arch? What Lion’s Arch? I don’t see any cities which resemble Lion’s Arch at all. OOOH! You mean Disney Waterpark? yea, they can destroy that.
I would love a head/face zoom for the dye tab as well. Some light head pieces are very small and are difficult to see what each dye channel affects.
Until its fixed in the interface, this might help:
zoom in as much as you can on your real world model, and accept the dye changes. Since its free you can repeat doing that until you’re satisfied. Maybe use the FOV slider a bit to get even closer to your face.
But this only works for dyes, since you need to accept the changes. Trying this method on skins would be flushing all your TCharges through the drain
I don’t know if it’s a broken system, a bug, or a glitch or I’m doing something wrong,
but I’ve been playing for over 4 years now and until today I still cannot keep a target!
I enter combat, I click on an enemy, or I call him a target so I can recover focus by pressing T and I start fighting. Never, ever, have I been able to keep a focus on the target for longer than 5 seconds. It simply stops.
This is troublesome on a caster because: Autotarget will select a new target for me if I lost focus, sometimes wasting a spell/skill on a target I didn’t want to hit.
Warrior: I turn of auto-targetting because it disables maneuvability, but in exchange, I’ve seen the depths of many fractals because I use [Rush] while I lost focus that split second, running into the lava at Grawl Shaman, or off into the abyss on the Cliffside/Uncatagorized.
I want to know if I’m the only one with this problem. Whenever I fight something of Elite class or higher, I just have to call the target so I can keep clicking T because te focus simply stops on its own in 5 seconds or less.

we have various dates, but 2 weeks have happened twice, so I would prepare for 2 weeks, and if it turns out 3 weeks it’ll feel like an extra week. if you prepare for 3 weeks and it turns out 2 weeks you’ll get a sour taste from too much candy in too little time
Unlike some people my Necromancer is ready for halloween all year through.
(I was kinda sad there were no real new items this year. Last years Nightfury and Shackles really boomed my demonic appearance. I kinda hoped for ankle-shackles or something for the chest
(edited by Amaimon.7823)
Its a simple request, but it’ll make a big difference.
When in the equipment wardrobe you try out skins, there is no zooming.
It would be great you could zoom in and out by draging the model (as you can now only spin it) or at least have it zoom in as much as during character creation when you have the list of shoulders and helmets selected.
For some people this would be a really big thing!
the Ley-Energy Matter Converter gives one HoT key every day for free.
But only in the case of the prybar does it ask for a confirmation. If you buy the machete, chak or auric-key it just gives the item straight away.
Preferably, the fix is that the confirmation on the pry-bar is removed.
So I was picking out new runes for my guardian and I came across this one and I thought..
why.. would anyone want the sixth rune if all it does is give you a negative effect. You’re better of with 5 scrapper runes and 1 rune of something else..
Or did I miss something? Is this a rune for people looking to hardcore?
At first I thought it meant ‘damaged reduction from enemies within 500 radius’
but the choise of words are similar to other runes that talk about the wielder

Look at it differently:
You have to go through all that effort, so the pet will be more worthwhile to you, and you won’t run into it on every corner of the street devalueing it
There is currently no enemy that would target Lion’s Arch.
None of the dragons are anywhere close to Lion’s Arch and we don’t have a villain that would be interested in destroying Lion’s Arch.
How about we destroy something else next? Maybe Divinity’s Reach?
How about the grove, and Aether-industrialize it next. Hook the Pale Mother to Omadd’s Machine, and simulate the dream on an industrial level. Maybe we can get the Consortium to pitch in, too
Agreed. The current model of LA looks like its designed by a singular skritt with attention disorder and a fetish for quaggans and other crustaceans. Like a disney waterpark built on a parking lot.
I cant wait for *S*taphylococcus the water elder dragon to wash it off tyria and we can rebuilt it a proper hub of trade again.
The labyrinth isn’t harder, now, only slower. the bosses aren’t threatening. And if the bosses aren’t threatening, you can give them 1hp or 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,456,000,000hp, it won’t matter. It just takes longer to kill them, not more effort/skill
This is evident in the fact that de consciousness of a sylvari returns to the dream (pale tree) after death. So there is something that survives, but it doesn’t go to the same heaven/hell as the other races.
We might have interpreted that bit of information very differently. What we know about the Dream is that sylvari who go out into the world sometimes send information back to the Dream, mere flashes of images or fragmented information. I think that’s what you’re referring to, but a sylvari doesn’t have to die to send that information. Now, I can’t back up my claim at this point, but I’m pretty sure that’s the case.
hmm.. you’re right on that part. The Dream of Dreams is the collective knowledge of the pale tree, and the experiences of her children.
Sylvari who have become silent, or have fallen into nightmare no longer contribute to the dream. Their voice does not reach the pale tree anymore. It doesn’t say if the Nightmare also archives memories/experiences of courtiers.
These are some organic functions backed by devs.
#Sylvari have a full functioning digestive system. Most of their nutrition comes from food just like any other race. Their excrement is something like mulch.
#Photosynthesis is like a meditative supplement.
#Sylvari can mate, but cannot reproduce.
#Sylvari don’t have hearts, but they have sap running through them.
I couldn’t find what happened to dead sylvari.
In a game necros exist cant understand any complain about anything.

the legendary heavy looked A LOT like the envoy armor, so I think the medium and heavy will look a lot like their envoy models respectively as well. It will be animated, but I doubt the medium and light set can deploy the mechanical expansion the heavy deploys. the light set will propably become magically active. the medium set.. hhm.. I can’t really think of anything.
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Experience maybe you can find the desired information here. if you scroll down there’s a blue table.
I don’t know the exact calculations, but leveling in a lower level zone isn’t that bad, really. In fact, completing a map gives a big reward
The legendary medium will be the trenchiest of trenchcoat, the coatiest among the trenches.. it will be.. A TRENCH!

Update:
The strike is ongoing, but only companies like Activision, EA, Disney and Warner Bros are affected because they make the most money, but pay the least. The strike is limited to these companies because these companies are the demons in this case. there is no value in striking in the small companies or other companies where wages are fine.
I read somewhere else that blizzard voice actors are paid pretty well (relatively)
We know distance isn’t a factor- we fought Mordrem in the Iron Marches, remember?
The Mordrem in the Iron Marches and at Fort Salma and Fort Concordia weren’t actually distant from Mordremoth, though. Think about it.
Depends on what you count as mordremoth. After he woke up, one can argue that the mind of mordremoth was in every vine and tendril, and so all over the world
Amaimon, did it come to your mind that the lower necromancer dps was offset by something else? It’s a fact we have lower dps now, so if everything else were to be the same it is impossible to clear in the same time. Your squad either stepped up their game and had better rotations and/or your rotation benefited from other changes that happened in this patch. Being closer to their original dps is more likely on VG though I guess.
In your case, it still doesn’t matter. What matters is that as a team you can clear the raid bosses, which i’ve seen with my own eyes is still very much possible if 20% of that setup is necro. The team effort undermines the individual effort. Maybe its something for pugs then, but if you play with friends or a dedicated raid guild like I do (RTI) its not a problem.
I’m trying to remember what we had.. 2 warriors, 2 necros, a druid.. at VG we had 3 eles, one of them swapped later to something else.. can’t remember exactly anymore..
My answer is much shorter though: I do believe dragon minions have a soul, but one much more robotic or posessive than a normal human/charr/etc.
This is evident in the fact that de consciousness of a sylvari returns to the dream (pale tree) after death. So there is something that survives, but it doesn’t go to the same heaven/hell as the other races.
In regard of this, heaven/hell is already a weird concept. We know there is an afterlife, and a realm of torment, in which we see many races in GW1, but 99% of those were human. I dont recall there were any Charr or Asura in the Realm of Torment.
So the concept of soul may even vary among races. And its worth noting that the Seers, demons, demonoids, Margonites and humans all share the same ‘hell’ where the six gods dumped everything that they deemed evil.
new race means:
1) 3 tiers of cultural armor
2) tweaking of ALL existing armors to match their models
3) hiring new voice actors
4) writing a script that replaces the entire Personal Story
5) Creating a Home Capital, and a racial 1-15 zone (luckily the 15-25 can be shared by another race as evident in the maguuma)
this is just the tip of the iceberg on the tundra on the planet in the solar system of the amount of work needed
The reason WoW can so easily pump out new races is.. because the races don’t really matter. Functionally WoW only has 2 races, Horde and Alliance, each with a bundle of unique skins. They all follow the same story, they all follow the same script, they both have a capital on both continents.
In short (and clear)
1) You are in map 4. > you opened all chests in map 4.
2) You move your profile to lobby (1).
3) You select another map lobby and join someone in that map.
4) You move your profile to that map lobby.
The reason is: it’s to prevent people from being in Lobby X while being on Map Y, also to prevent lobbies from dying. The risk of people leaving a map-lobby is higher if people don’t move through the central lobby, putting the access to a map at risk. That is why most groups also say “always leave 2 people on the map” so that in case one fades, the map isn’t lost. just shout ‘Care #’ and someone should join your map.
Why does Lege armor have to be tied to Raids?
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns
Posted by: Amaimon.7823
Does it really matter? its just a cosmetic reward for raiding A LOT. I mean.. if you already got ascended armor, its not much benefit. Maybe now you can swap it between 3 classes of the same armor weight and toggle the suffix.
Hope its not a bug. Why should an achievement get a professional preference? Just cast stomp like everyone else. Its really not so hard.
Normal mode: go to pvp or wvw and play normally
Lazy mode: Go to a ‘blue wins’-skyhammer pvp map and join the stomping.
You dont need to actually stomp; as long as you’re casting the stomp when the target dies, it counts.
Ever considered Sims or Skyrim?
Yeah, no. PvE in this game is flipping mind numbingly boring.
Everyone’s bringing in arguments for their opinions, whats yours?
The warrior is a pretty strong class, but I think it works best with backup. 1 warrior with 1 caster, and we rush over capture points.
this topic has zero information.
If this is a complain topic, the necro’s are doing fine. people are overreacting. The necro’s are fine. Take a deep breath. Repeat after me
The necros are fine. Now, people are overreacting, its what people love to do. If there are people barring a necro from groups, let them. If you’re a necro, you’re too good for them.
Necromancer
We feel that necromancers have been faring quite well gamewide, providing play and counterplay in many spots over the last few months. In addition to a couple of minor bug fixes, we wanted to improve the viability of necromancer power builds, which have been somewhat lacking in presence.
Rending Claws: The damage of this ability has been increased by 15%.
Ghastly Claws: The damage of this ability has been increased by 13%.
Unholy Feast: The number of boons converted to conditions has been increased from 1 to 2.
Fading Twilight: The aftercast of this ability has been reduced by 0.11 seconds.
Chilling Scythe: The aftercast of this ability has been reduced by 0.06 seconds.
Death Spiral: The damage of this ability has been increased by 66%.
Blood Is Power: The recharge time of this ability has been reduced from 30 seconds to 20 seconds in PvP only.
Signet of Vampirism: When the Signets of Suffering trait is equipped, this skill will no longer corrupt boons on players who evade it.
Lich Form—Jagged Horrors: These minions will no longer lose health over time and will instead die 30 seconds after they’re summoned.See, there’s hardly anything I would consider a nerf in here. if anything, this is a list of buffs
This post has 0 understanding of Necromancer.
Lich form was 15-35% of Necromancer DPS after rampup. Without the horrors, Necromancer is, as a class, dead in the water. This is undeniable.
This reply has 0 adaptibility or desire to continue to function. You’re like a machine where if a big cog gets replaced by 2 small cogs it stops working altogether, even though it’s just fine.
I mentioned it before, but I feel you’re in need of the same story:
We already killed VG and Gorseval post-patch with 2 necros (1 of which was a reaper) and we killed it no slower than before. So having 2 necros in your party post patch doesn’t make you any slower than before in killing at least the first 2 bosses (we’re talking VG with about a minute left, and Gorseval using the rush-damage-to-avoid-world-decay)
(edited by Amaimon.7823)
This would be a lot of fun to do, as long as it wasn’t too long of course. Could even be tied into the expansion’s story. The first chapter is determined by your class, and completing it is your quest to unlock your new elite spec
Yea, thats why I said 2 instances, that shouldn’t take longer than 20-30 minutes to run through. And you only need to do it once.
Your idea is also pretty good. Having a class specific intro. But that might be even more work since a whole Journal Chapter is a lot more work than 2 small instances
I was wondering.. why are these bags acountbound?
They only contain crafting materials, nothing acountbound about them.
So I have 2 acounts, one for fun and where I do all the serious gathering on. So send my mystic coins and laurel-bought crafting materials there. But I always have to send 2 mails to send all the crafting materials produced, rather than just the stack of T6 bags.
Now, I now this is a 1st world problem, but it did get my thinking. Why are the bags acountbound despite not containing any acountbound stuff?
Or Marjory picking up Belinda Jane’s Greatsword?
I’m sorry if I’m being pedantic, but Treherne was a necromancer who used the greatsword a lot.
As a side note, I rather like the AB event that leads to the discovery of the druid spirit…. it’s story that can be voluntarily participated in w/o putting the elite behind any wall.
~EW
Ah, you’re right. Tbh i already forgot about him, technicalwise.
The only problem with MKS is the range. You can be doing something else near it and get tossed for not typing the right thing.
oh yea, that is a thing. I remember I was doing some trading and suddenly I completed daily mad king says.. and I was.. oookaaayyy??
Sounds a lot like players would have to actually do something to unlock the Elite Spec. We all know what the majority of the playerbase thinks about that.
“ANet how dare you lock my elite spec away behind a quest wall” It’d be like the whole 400 Hero-Point Fiasco all over again.
I’d be happy with a more thematic way to earn an Elite Spec though; for example completing a ‘quest chain’ to unlock the Elite Spec, which is progressed with Hero Points as usual.
Naturally, the amount of time consumed should be similar. Now you get 10 points per skill challenge, while it costs variably 10-35 points per mark. In this case, you’re given a small headstart into the first skill or 2 traits by completing the quest, and the rest should maybe cost less to compensate, making it take about as much time as before.
And we’re not locking the e-spec behind a quest wall, we’re using game content to get to game content. I mean.. where in time did we go so wrong that unlocking content by playing the game is something frowned upon? I remember in Rayman I got power-ups as I progressed through the story. I didn’t complain at the time “why couldn’t rayman fly in the first level”
