Lol I thought people were just exaggerating when talking about how bad some DB roamers are. I know every server has them (i’m one of them depending on what profession I’m fighting!) but jeez some of these are embarrassing. Almost as embarrassing as the 15 man NNK groups being an heroes and doing their best to protect their 670 ppt from the imminent threat of solo roamers.

Look dude. Guilds went to different servers because their former server did not offer them what they wanted. People migrate cities players migrate servers. They are trying to have a more enjoyable experience, in the game. If their former server was not giving them the WvW nor server community experience they wanted, it is in their best interest to move. A lot of those who moved were on the verge of just quitting the game and good guilds with good players would of crumbled. Which would of left the former server in the same bad situation, it is in.

In some cases it was a failure in the server community. That allowed toxic power hungry players to destroy them, from within. With others it was a slow decline in people in WvW that was creating match ups that was not enjoyable. I know it’s rough on the people who stayed on the server and they are angry about the constant loosing streaks.

SBI had it bad. To go from Tier 1 to a kitten SBI fest every week. It really sucks for these guys. You can be mad about it all you want. The bottom line is this, though. The fault ultimately does not lie with the guilds who moved nor the servers they moved to. They changed for the betterment of their guild. That is who they are ultimately responsible to. They have no accountability to the servers they left. A server is your city and the guild is your family. Family comes first. Don’t be mad that they made a tough decision for the good of their family.

The SoS night time starts earlier than the DB night time. I’d say 3ish hours from now is when NNK o’clock starts.

Fair enough. I’m sure they will remove our points in a new and exciting fashion. SoS would usually wipe us on EB first before the BL. DB have a higher ppt overall at this time than SoS but SBI has more than usual. Probably because Mag is weaker vs DB than CD vs SoS at oceanic time.

Solving problems with numbers is nothing to be proud about. And, spam laughing us when we finally get overwhelmed after killing you repeatedly makes you look bad, not us.

It’s kind of like the guys from DR and IoJ that corpse jump me after they kill me with many numbers. Like the commander from IoJ who corpse jumped me with half his zerg after they zerged me, only then to lose the keep straight within 10 minutes due to their own incompetence. Or when an IoJ thief killed me in an enemy tower with npcs on me and then corpse jumped me, only to run away from me the only time I have ever found him solo. Or like just tonight when two thieves jumped me, I downed one as I got downed, the other finished me off, and when the second one rallied, he corpse jumped me.

It’s almost always thieves, go figure. Happy to say that out of all the people who have corpse jumped me in this match-up I have successfully corpse-jumped back (multiple times) except 1. I’m looking for you, Charr thief.

It’s a game. People are morons. It’s time to move on and get over it.

Anyway although I’ve never been a part of a zerg that has done that, I’m willing to bet large amounts of $$$ the reason they did it to your group is because they read this forum.

That’s mostly because close to nobody stays on SBI BL when we’re “playing for points”. Usually if anything like this happens, someone (me if I’m on) will go to another BL and call back defenders. I’ve been outmanned on SBI BL several times when there has only been 10 – 15 of you which is pretty funny considering our numbers.

Yeah I tried to get people to come back for Garrison but only half of them came. The rest turned up for Bay. I think that was actually the lowest our numbers had been in the whole match-up though, so good/fortunate timing there for IoJ.

People are exaggerating the new and improved drop-rate I think.

There have been an absurd amount of people farming the event since the patch. Few of the top population servers have even had overflows in Queensdale during the 30 minute window. At a guess, I’d say there’s been anywhere from around 40 – 100+ people at a single spawn on the top population servers. That may even be a conservative estimate based on the lag and culling I’ve experienced.

So many people are farming the event now. Yet how many do you think have actually dropped? Maybe 100 at an absolute maximum (accounting for current listings, sales + silly people who kept them)? That doesn’t sound like an over-the-top drop-rate to me. How many people do you think have participated in the event for that estimated 100 to drop? 1000s and 1000s and 1000s.

Yes it will crash down a fair bit over the next week or two. I can’t see it going below 10g personally just because once it’s cheaper there will be a much higher demand for the skin. Eventually people will also get sick of farming it constantly and that will only help it stabilise quicker.

My guess? It will eventually stabilise around 10 – 15g. Sounds good to me.

I hope it is normal. Not just because I got a Final Rest either :P

As someone else said, the previous expectation of a single drop (10 people running it once per day every day for 7 months) was absurd. Much more realistic that one drops every few events on average.

For what it’s worth, I did it on 4 80’s today. I got Final Rest on my 4th. Nobody seemed to get one during the other 3, but another person got one when I did.

That’s why I didn’t like it when a few people (and it was just a few) from SBI started tooting their own horns when they took the point lead early Saturday morning after losing the point race on reset night. Given your quote above, I’m guessing that you would agree that it’s in poor taste to say you won reset night when, in fact, you lost reset night and didn’t take the lead until you were able to PvDoor while people were sleeping. (Of course, it’s always possible that you are a hypocrite.)

So, I said something about it. Then some from SBI, including yourself, attacked me for simply stating a fact at which point it escalated quickly.

Don’t really see how that post makes me a hypocrite. I haven’t changed my opinion at all. People who feel the need to brag about destroying opposition with superior numbers are embarrassing, especially when they belong to your server. Maybe the only thing I would change is to add the condition “unprovoked” in there somewhere. I can see the appeal after having some thinly veiled insults thrown your server’s way. Implications of being unskilled and zerg babies and all that.

By the way, you and I will have to agree to disagree that posting a score update (which is all that was done before you chimed in with your rubbish) is “tooting their own horn”. Every single game thread SBI has been involved in until this match-up has involved posting many score updates. That this rubbed you the wrong way says a lot more about you than the person who posted it.

- The grand total of six (6) DR in bay, and the one (1) DR player in hills.

But yeah, DR probably has more numbers. I mean, we have stuff in EB right? Our huge zerg must be there, because you know, we have more numbers. Surely they will come to save DRBL after we ask them to. Right?

The problem is that it seems SBI does not share this mentality. For example, instead of defending our BL after you night cap it, you choose to leave it and let us PvD for 30min every day. When we were fighting Maguuma, they always captured our bay, upgraded it fully, and defended it ferociously throughout the week, recapturing it should it fall. Should a sizeable DR force appear in DRBL while you are PvDooring it, you are often quick to leave it for another zone where points may more easily be obtained too.

This might shock you but our numbers are nothing compared to the likes of Maguuma. There is a reason they can afford to set up a proper defence in another BL and we can’t – we don’t have the numbers (particularly during prime time), despite you being absolutely delusional and seeming to think we do.

It is no different to when SBI was getting pwned by SoS. They would set-up shop in our own BL, upgrading keeps etc, because they had the ridiculous numbers to do so… even with the 3rd server still being competitive (JQ).

There’s not much else to say except that complaining to us about it is really quite laughable. A lot of us on SBI have been here since we were a mainstay in T1 and have experienced the lameness of culling much much much more than you have.

I’m looking to participate in some fun free tournaments but my server is pretty dead now. Is there any server that regularly has free tournaments going?

I’ve read some threads on here and it seems like they are hard to come across, especially if you aren’t some arbitrary rank. I can understand that but I really just want to try them out.

Any advice/help would be appreciated.

So upon the first day of my returning, we get a golem rush going and take Lowlands while SBI is occupied with IoJ in Stonemist. Look at all of the people who needed the vista in Lowlands! I just had to grab a pic.

And earlier today, another golem rush gets us SM and the entire north section of EB! I’m having loads of fun back in my home-server, even if we are a bit behind in points. Keep it up SBI and IoJ, I look forward to meeting you on the battlefield in the coming week!

Yeah, screw the period of time when the populations on the field are the most balanced. Things are more real once offhour coverage comes in to play.

No worries. Actually its good that Sbi and IoJ do a lot of Oceanic scoring, since its going to keep us in this tier. Personally I would prefer the current set up where we are equally matched by numbers during prime time, and then loose some points during the night to all the alternatives. Now we have new things to retake, fortify, etc:)
