I hate to burst any bubbles out there, but SBI is nothing compared to TC. The scores would have been a LOT different in this match if you swapped SBI for TC.

Now that DB is dead, I’m sure SBI could easily replace them as a tier 2 contender but it’s also tough to tell where they really sit since their community is excited to be fighting up the ranks. It isn’t hurting attendance. In the long run I don’t see T1 as a possible destination.

That’s okay, the majority of people talking up SBI’s rise through the tiers in this thread haven’t been from SBI. The people saying we would kitten this match in on the first page were from Maguuma and FA.

To the YB commander who initiated a 1v1, ran back to the sentry when he was losing, came back with a thief friend to fight me 2v1, then ran away again after I killed the thief… I lol’d.

Beat it with a pug without toooooo much trouble, besides two members regularly not listening.

The last fight was lols. Pug heaven.

Let’s be honest here, there is only one reason they are doing this:

Ahh Oceanic prime time, where I can get away with building a cata and taking a tower without seeing any opposition for 20 minutes. Whilst NSP were taking their northern towers back, I had some fun stealing a southern one. Did end up getting more people to defend Garrison for a while though.

So I guess you were one of those [SG] players that fought us in garrison. You guys handed our kitten to us for sure, had a hard time rallying the pugs to push in. And after we wiped you guys and headed for hills, le wild SBI zerg appears and took our garrison while we wiped at hills. To be honest, I’m sick of these match-ups, retaking our stuff only to lose it within the hour to a blob while we have maybe 10 defenders without any siege or supply. I think I’m gonna take a break from wvw for the rest of the week.

On a side note to those from [SG], halo fellow singaporeans

We were pretty mad at the blob zerging into Hills and repairing all the gates and using all the supply we were going to defend it with. Its okay a lot of SBI don’t want to be in this match-up either.

Would love to know the success rate during the broad time slot of Oceanic prime time. Of course this thread isn’t accurate for such things, but if I were to use it as a loose guide it’d be close to 0%. Sadly, I’m guessing the real success rate during this time isn’t much higher at all.

I feel like I can finally contribute to the group using my my Guardian’s hybrid downed/symbol build.

Guardian Downed Build

Traits: 30/0/10/30/0

Zeal
II: Hopefully your foe is burning
IV: Apply Aegis as you’re about to be downed
V: 50% Increased downed damage.

Valor
III: Lose health 33% slower when downed

Honor
III: Symbols are larger (skill 3)
VII: Symbols last longer (skill 3)
X: All symbols heal allies (skill 3)

Gear and weapons are whatever you feel like for the most part, preferably Staff/GS so you can put symbols down just before you get downed. Maybe some healing power so your symbols heal better. Or zerker gear so you can get some okay damage in before you reach the optimal downed state.

Playstyle/effectiveness

DPS your foes as much as possible while you are up. Try to avoid symbols at this point as they heal and you want to be in the downed state. As you approach the downs, hit aegis and GS skill 4, Staff skill 3. When downed use skill 3 as often as possible, but mostly you will be using skill 1. If you are serious trouble you can try skill 2 to buy yourself some valuable DPS or heal time. Using skill 4 is a hot topic of debate, really you shouldn’t need it as the symbol will heal you fairly well and that way you can focus on DPS.

Food: Bowl of Fire Salsa (+100% downed health, +20% downed damage). Self explanatory. Utility: have stacks of slaying potions depending on what mob you’re facing.

I’m not one to care about PPT, but i honestly hate versing SBI-.-
Since all these transfers, i rarely ever get even numbered fights when i run 10-15 man groups with my guild.. The only guild who give great fights and actually stand out of the 70 man zergs in BEAST. So yeah, i’ll be in Yaks BL for most of this week just looking for good fights.

It’s funny when other servers act as if they never have zergs.

I don’t think you’ve ever seen an enemy 80 zerg. You guys have them quite a lot!

I didn’t see any huge SBI zergs last night during reset. You’d think that would be primetime for an 80 man zerg, especially since those are supposedly our forte.

You guys always complain about the new SBI transfers, but what you fail to realize is that we do our own separate guild events and tend to avoid huge zergball stuff. For instance, DDLG ran two groups last night, with each consisting of less than 20 members.

Wow, you’re crazy. You’re telling me you were in every map on reset and you saw all of SBI’s numbers? That’s hard to believe.

No need to hide the fact that your server fields 80 people almost ALL the time. Just accept it.

You guys have the skill of a tier 7 server but coverage for a tier 3 server.

I really love how BP start talking kitten about numbers when they come up against a challenge. Like i said before, get off the forums kitten talking about numbers, and go out and fight, BP can easily field the numbers that SBI do.

And about the Tier 7 skill. You are probably the biggest hypocrite i have seen. The only guild i have been impressed with in BP is DR. The rest of you are just mindless zerglings with no tactics and result to excuses on the forums about losing. Grow up.

I really love how much sbi are hypocrites. Back when bp beat sbi each time we faced, All i saw was sbi crying on forums about us “zerging” 24/7. Now that you are beating us cause of all your transfers, you turned into a kitteny server. Zara is right about your skill is a t7 server. If you could’t even beat Maguuma with your 80 man zerg. Good luck beating someone higher. T1 is 24/7 coverage, 3 maps que and 1 map almost. Sbi can only que 1 sometimes. Enough acting so tough sbi and stop trying to create drama. And DO NOT say bp is doing it(i know you will anyway.) Cause all i do is see sbi on forums complaining about SOMETHING they dont like.

I solo roam on Guardian all the time. It’s pretty fun and fairly successful. Of course, your success might depend on how you define it… seeing as pretty much every other class can just run away from you if they really want to.

People who shut down WvW are bad and should feel bad.

I hear you. Very hard to find a group if you have no experience and don’t belong to an active guild. I managed to find a group for P1 & P3 which was good. As long as you listen aren’t a complete kitten you will be fine. Hell the advice I got for Lupicus having never done it before was “Just dodge kitten” (thanks bro) and it went pretty good. Hopefully I’ll find one for P2 shortly, but not counting on finding one for P4 any time soon.

not an excuse, we just cant compete with our lack of coverage.

i did have fun routing sbi’s 20man at orchard in dh bl tho earlier.

Not that it’ll make you feel any better, but we on SBI can certainly sympathize, having first seen a mass exodus of WvW guilds back during the free transfer days, then a slow trickle of PvX guilds leave over the months that followed. It’s only in the past 2 weeks that we’ve suddenly had an influx of WvW guilds transfer to our server.

The only advice I can offer for those of you who still do come out to fight every night is not to give up. Even if there’s no chance of winning, come out for the fights and the laughs and have fun. Do that and the other servers will notice, and eventually guilds on other servers that aren’t happy with their current server will take a harder look at DH when and if they start thinking about transferring.

The thing is, we are about to loose 1 of our 2 major wvw guilds. SE is looking to leave. So once again Darkhaven looses more guilds. 4th time since the game launch. Maybe our pve players will get burnt out on the events and come join us in wvw. lol

They should join the Stormwagon Isle express to tier 2.

Still bugged and no word on any fixes? I’ve done everything you’re supposed to do and still stuck on 12/13 zones.

The frustrating thing is despite doing invasions all day and constantly checking for ones that I can’t confirm added to my achievement, I know I’ll still be stuck on 12/13 after the achievement disappears and there will be no fix to help this issue.

I want to complete it because I’ve been stuck on 12/13 for several days and I’ve attempted every single map since then without dcing/going to overflow/leaving zone/changing chars etc etc and I still haven’t found number 13. Of the 12 I have completed, only one has been given credit (I think, still not 100% sure if it counted that one or not) for failing. Other times I failed they were not counted.

Succeeding is basically the only option I have left.

Stuck on 12/13 for several days now… have repeated all zones (not all successfully) and still can’t find number 13. Any tips?

People say you don’t need to succeed and complete the event however of the 12 I have done, I’ve only got credit once for failing, others I got no credit if it failed.

It’s also becoming increasingly more difficult to succeed as time goes on because people care less and less about anything besides FARMAETHERBLADES.

I think the main thing that needs to be changed is the aetherblades and even molten alliance events need to fail as soon as enough of them have been completed like the minions do at the end of the 3rd wave.

Can tolerate people zerging up and farming them during the wave but it’s frustrating to see 50+ at aetherblades long after the aetherblade quota has been met.

There’s a certain irony about living story releases, halloween, super adventure box, etc being classed as “permanent” achievements
