Well i thought this match would be a bit closer, but obviously the SBI numbers are swelling with fairweathers.

That and theres been talk of them getting more xfers recently cause people dont give a kitten about leagues anymore.

There’s little point in roaming when every time you wander somewhere a zerg runs over you and dances on your corpse. I solo capped danelon yesterday and hung there for a bit and got jacked by a 20+ group from sbi who set up 2 arrow carts and a ballista, then spammed /laugh after killing me. And you wonder why we aren’t roaming much?

Yeah sorry I don’t have any sympathy for you. Getting run over the top of by superior numbers is nothing new for any server, it just happens on different scales (solo vs group, group vs zerg, etc). Yet to find more than two people who don’t run and hug friends 1v1 with no other SBI in sight. I purposely stay away from the zerg, maybe that’s the problem. I should just join them and /dance on corpses as I steamroll people 3:1 so I can be on the delivering end for a change.

As a former bowbear, the trick is to just pick traits that you think are cool.

I only have “Who’s in charge here?” left for the meta but haven’t been bothered to look for a group that primarily want that achievement.

Warthog has a good point. The public debacle of the week before leagues resulted people moving to FA (to deny SBI first) and both SoS and Mag have increased their numbers in their weakest time zones.

SBI is a legitimate contender for T2 along with FA, SoS, and Mag; but they’ve lost all momentum and will probably not break free of T3 when the season is over.

I am pretty confident FA have better coverage than SoS & Mag, assuming the populations stay the same after season 1 finishes (who knows). SBI also got more Oceanic/SEA transfers since the first week of leagues.

People will play how they choose and no amount of tears is going to change that. Exceptance is the first step.

It is frustrating as a roamer to already normally be fighting outnumbered and then when you are doing well the tide of red washed over you. We were in the same predicament 2 weeks against SoR and people need not forget that.

It happens in every match up regardless of opponent.

Hi, I’m one of the guild leaders for [GH]. We are feeling really guilty about the circumstances in which we took the bay in NSP BL from SBI. I just wanted to put it out here before we got called out on it that we did not intentionally try to steal your bay using a glitching mesmer.

Inside of GH, we have several thief/mesmer combos that specialize in sneaking in and hiding in enemy keeps. The mesmer who portalled us into your fully upgraded bay was in our TS channel, but he was not GH, he did so illegitimately, and our commanders on at the time did not realize this was the case until after the same mesmer pulled the same stunt to get back our bay on home borderland before somehow finding himself in an enemy keep (that no one had touched) yet again in NSP BL.

He has since been reported by the GH community and the other guild leaders on ebay have been warned.

Again my sincerest apologies.

Probably the same guy who glitched into our bay on SBI BL twice.

Around 100% through Luck I think, but I’ve stopped salvaging and I’m now selling. Takes way too much luck for it to be worth it now imo.

We joined FA because we thought it was the best fit for us concerning their culture. We looked at multiple servers, none of which were the ones people were expecting to win their respective leagues. We then chose FA. We were not concerned about winning the league, but hey, if that happens and we can help then why the hell not?

We like it here on FA and think this is what we have been missing. The people are great and the atmosphere while playing WvW is one of fun, not work.

Plus, when we joined the wider consensus was that FA was failing. People were mistaken. FA is as strong as ever.

Meh, disagree. Most of them are fine for SEVEN weeks. You don’t have to do it much like you don’t have to do all the other PVE meta achievements.

Fwiw, I am 11/15, and of the ones I haven’t completed I think

- Sentry Capturer may be a little high considering how pointless they are
- Merc Camp Vanquisher is the absolute worst one, what a waste of time, it’s like they thought borderlands still had the quaggan nodes.

The demolition expert one is meh, depends what server you’re on. Low pop/low tier = easy, high pop/higher tier = can understand difficulties.

The rest of them are casual, I am a full time semi-hardcore jerk.

I have to give a shout out to KH from TC, you guys are an absolute pain to deal with but i have to thank you for wiping us over and over again. It’s better to reinforce the notion that the new PvE’ers who are testing Wvwers to get tankier gear and training in WVW if they are repeatedly wiping.

Personally, I wanted gold because as a solo/small group roamer it’s a hell of a lot easier to find people to fight when we’re being smashed, particularly in australian prime time.

One of us lives in bizarro world, for me this seems to be the complete opposite.

FA are good odds to win Silver with all their recent transfers. Lol @ SBI people who wanted Gold League because they didn’t think Silver would be a challenge.

First thing I noticed on looking at the new list is a total lack of rewards for individual achies.

Admittedly, you get 50 for getting a complete scoresheet (and it IS a complete score if you don’t count the 4 jumping puzzles – which I don’t – they are not WvW) but that’s not the point. If you don’t complete them all you get nothing.
Contrast anything else in the game – you get something for at least trying.

Again, we have this peculiar reticence to give rewards for WvW. I don’t understand why. It’s like pulling teeth. Does it hurt or something?

Uhh if you’re talking about the list in your achievement panel in-game, the 0 AP is the AP you have received from that achievement so far. It has 0 if you hover over the meta-achievement, too.

You’re making it out to be something that it is not. I don’t agree with it. But it is not cheating.

You’re right, it’s not cheating by Anet standards, afaik.

BP/FA have gained considerable numbers since we last faced them. They will not be as easy to roll over the top of as previously. BP/FA are the closest match-ups we could possibly have in the league system.

Gold League will struggle to offer us even one close match-up.

And Gold League will be the same but in the opposite direction with the added, near guaranteed bonus that we will lose significant portions of our player base who don’t feel like replaying this match-up (and worse) over and over again for 7 weeks. Making the 7 weeks even worse.

Hope you enjoy it, thankfully I won’t have to either way. I’d rather not have to pay $$$ for transfers though.
