Check out NA Silver. Despite comprehensively winning every SBI-IOJ-CD match-up, SBI will probably end up being ranked the same as IOJ and CD.

Worth noting also that most that do run from 1v1s are zergbabies who have misplaced their zerg. This is true even if the person considers themselves a roamer, perhaps this is even when it is especially true.

They initiate it – they run, if I end up killing them I will corpse jump them, spam /laugh, keep an eye out for them in the future, repeat process if they run again.

To top it off, the upgrade extractor is used for more than cheap 10g sigils and runes. It’s used for upgrades put into gear that cost the same, or higher, than a full set of such runes for a single upgrade.

This just makes no sense whatsoever. I don’t even know what you’re trying to say here, can you perhaps explain your argument a little better? The fact is though, regardless of what your response is, is that the upgrade component you’re extracting has to be over 25g before the upgrade extractor is worth purchasing. This situation is very, very rare.

As far as I can tell, there is only ONE item in the entire game where buying an upgrade extractor (trading gold for gems) would be cheaper than simply buying another one, and that is the superior sigil of generosity.

Now if you were to buy the gems with $$$ and trade for gold, 250 gems goes for ~ 18g. Which again is above every single rune and sigil bar the superior sigil of generosity.

The upgrade extractor has such a limited use in this scenario. So basically the only real solution is to allow these gear sets to be salvageable.

My ranger kicks kitten in WvW, and it’s only level 20. I plan on getting it a commander tag soon.

Not only that but you may as well trade the gems for gold and buy the sigil/rune and have gold left over. It’s ridiculous.

I’d prefer just to be able to salvage WvW gear (even with no globs) to get the sigils back.

Or, reduce the price for extractors, and make the result (sigil/rune) account bound. Removes the issue of easy profiting. Why the hell would anyone buy an upgrade extractor at the moment? If you buy gems with real $$$ you may as well just trade it for gold and buy the sigils yourself.

Of course, as others have pointed out, it’s not really even close to being feasible. Even buying the gems with $$$, you may as well just trade the gems for gold instead and buy new sigils (and have plenty left-over).

Would love a dev response. It wouldn’t bother me so much if the sigils I had on various WvW weapons weren’t worth nearly 30g.

Can someone clarify that there is now no way to remove/transfer sigils off weapons bought in WvW?

- No transmutation splitters
- Transmutation no longer allows you to transfer sigil onto a new weapon
- WvW Weapons cannot be salvaged

Well this update screwed me over.

My expensive sigils are on WvW Weapons, and now I have no way to get them off. They can’t be transmuted like before, and you can’t salvage them.

In all my hours of GW2 I have met a total of two rangers that where decent. 1 of them was impossible to kill (I haven no idea what build he was using but we where 2v1 and couldnt do it) and the other died, but it was a fight at least.

Based on this thread, I’d say Ranger and Guardian are most underestimated.

- Rangers can excel at roaming and some do, step 1 is to not be a bearbow (coming from a former legendary bearbow, aka Kudzu and Dreamer).
- Rangers can be decent in small group play
- Rangers mostly suck at zerg play

No that is actually my point. People deleting their items is not Anet’s fault. I’ll never get tired of reading people complaining about deleting items in the game they thought would no longer have a use, and then blaming Anet for their own foolishness. Why would you delete an item before the event is even over? Lack of space isn’t a reasonable excuse imo and a lack of warning (something Anet are not obligated to do whatsoever) is not even close to being a reasonable excuse.

Go to EbonHawke. Has TP, Bank & Crafting stations closer than anywhere else if I remember correctly. No Mystic Forge though.

How will this impact on the price of centaur spearheads? Yesterday they were 10, today, 20. Do you think they’ll drop even further?

Rangers can be great roaming 1v1.
Better choices in small group play but aren’t terrible.
They are generally bad in zergs.

Since WvW guilds aren’t usually looking to recruit solo roamers, they have little to no need for rangers.

My situation was a pretty obvious outlier yet it’s still humorous watching people go into defence mode over it, particularly those unaware of the stealth mechanic. I think after the 20k combined the next highest backstab I’ve had was only just over half of that.

To be honest last time a full glass thief got me was becouse i saw him but i was too slow. A full glassy can’t stay too much in stealth so if he saw you, you’d have to see him as well. Paying attention is not an optional. It’s like crying becouse a sniper sniped you. He did his job, you were too much uncovered.
Looking at the pic Flame Blast was from an engi not from a thief, so ok you didn’t see the thief, but.. don’t you see a bunch of enemies?! At this point i can assume that everyone can gank you with a glassy build and get you with few hits till you dont pay attention.

This was outside SW camp at sentry point, I never saw him. I assume he spotted me while in Bay and stealthed (remember they can do that) down because I didn’t see him until I had 3k health (had 23k at the time, ~ 20k first hit) and my camera was facing that way to watch the sentry while I killed the yak.

Less than 3k is kittenty defence gear? That’s ~1940 toughness for med, 2080 for light and and still ~1800 for heavy. By those standards, a large proportion of roamers have kittenty defence gear.

If you’re getting hit for 20k you’re too glassy and the thief was glass as well.

the backstab was 16.9k and flame blast procced from it 3.1k (just my luck), I had at least 1700 toughness at the time, can’t remember exact number.

Anyone with so much as half a brain knows during Euro time FA will catch up any points they’ve lost in NA/Oceanic/SEA etc . SBI is very weak in that time, compared to FA anyway.
