it was really poor decision, cultural armor should never be in gemstore. They made the human light T3 completely irrelevant.

Flamekissed armor should be changed to something else or be removed from the gemstore.

Ive been extremely interested in Thaumanova lore since the beginning of the game, adding Scarlet in as the reason completely destroyed the whole thing for me.

Please stop adding Scarlet to everything, Its getting extremely annoying.

Im going to comment on the least important part (imo), but the screenshot prevention would never work. You may be able to disable ingame screenshots, but there are hundreds of third-party programs that can screenshot your monitor, it is impossible to prevent screenshots/videos from happening.

Not only did the music completely destroy the mood of the trailer for me, but i also really dislike the competition as well.

Why would you make a competition about making a GW2 music video, when you dont even have first person view? Absolutely none of the videos are going to look good when you cant remove your own character from the middle of the screen (unless its like a dance video or just you fighting mobs, which is what every GW2 video already is).
I might just have a massive grudge about not having first person view. Being unable to take proper scenery screenshots for over a year has been really annoying.

This competition would have been great if it was bundled with official first person view update, its like “hey look what we added, here use this song to make the most amazing cinematic masterpiece you can”. Now that would have been cool.

I dislike the way alliances have been done so far simply because they reduce the two allied factions into their superificial elements (dredge have machines, Flame Legion have fire magic) and they haven’t respected the depth that the different factions have.

I hadn’t even thought to why I dislike these alliances but this is a really good reason. Instead of giving depth to races they are watering them down. Maybe the writers don’t know how to?

I’ve been looking into this update a little bit and they seem to be doing an OK job with the krait. The story behind the obelisks and their prophets seems to be intact and interesting enough. The Nightmare Court truly do seem like space fillers though. This update probably would have been stronger without them from a lore perspective. The pollen is obviously their doing, but aside from that I haven’t seen too much depth to explain why they are involved.

I think there will be a second update to this one so hopefully the krait prophets and obelisk plot goes somewhere really cool and Scarlet doesn’t disrupt too much of it. They’ve definitely put in the effort to explore the krait a little bit more and that was a big concern of mine when it comes to Scarlet’s alliances, that they take away from the individual factions too much. At this point it depends on how they can grow that story.

We don’t know much about the Toxic Alliance yet though. Bloomanoo in Thunder Ridge Camp thinks that this is all Kraits doing and that they have enslaved (or hypnotized) portion of the Nightmare Court, because thats what they do.

Kraits might have seen potential in the skills of the Nightmare Court and they manipulated them.

So the alliance between Scarlet and the Krait is pretty much confirmed, but there is still a high possibility that the alliance between the Krait and Nightmare Court is not necessarily an alliance.

Are you kitteny telling me this was an intentional part of game design and not a bug.

This have been my bane the entire time i have played this game! I only use tp to sell the stuff i have gathered adventuring once my bag fills.

Every KITTEN time i do this for the last quarter of the items i am selling i have to close window reopen trading window, sell and item, try to sell next item, close window and reopen, repeat.

This is a stupid what to combat bots and only inconveniences the player not the botters.

Nowhere does it say that its intentional part of the game, OP said " presumably" used to combat botting.
Considering how randomized the “Error attempting to sell” is, meaning sometimes i can sell a lot without it happening and sometimes it happens on the second item, i HIGHLY doupt that this has anything to do with bots.

Id just say that the TP is very buggy and constantly under too heavy load.

I think he means that if you happened to try to blink further than what the range is, it would just teleport you as far as it can (because blinking to the max range in a fight can be painful when you get the “out of range” message).

You could still teleport short distances, but going over the maximum would always teleport you to the maximum range.

Which actually is something id want to see in game.

Dungeons are great alternatives for champ trains. AC gives you around 6-7g if you do every path, then you can use the tokens to buy cheap weapons and salvage them for ectos and soldiers inscriptions(around 3g on TP at the moment, i think), and CoF is just fast and easy money, as always.

Im not really in to nerfing the champ trains, but what i would like to see Anet do, is to randomize the champion spawns, so that it would no longer be as linear as it is now.
By that, i mean they should have various spawn times, maybe allow the champions to move around more so that you dont always see them in the same place.

Of course it would make it slower, but i would find it more interesting, that you (and others in the train) need to figure out where the champ is, the champions would always spawn in the same general area, but not always in the same spot.

Giotto.2607 , If you would get banned for using voice comms, or any program that doesnt touch any of GW2’s files, you would get banned for having anything on your PC while playing.
You would get banned for having a browser on while playing, Steam has voice chat, so you would get banned for having that on at the same time too.

Absolutely every program on your PC would get you banned, if Anet banned people just because they have third-party programs.

As long as the program doesnt touch GW2 in any way, you are safe.

Being unable to play these things with your friends is a HUGE design flaw.. i was waiting towards being able to play this with few of my friends who havent experienced halloween in gw2 yet, such a dissapointment.

I really hope that they will allow you to play the minigames with friends at some point, the main reason ive skipped most of the minigames is because i cant be kitten d to play those without friends.

Oh thank god i have the gift of souls recipe already and the material requirements for it hasnt changed.

They should just allow us to dye hair accessories the same way we dye armor, the color selection for the accessory is pretty meh. I don’t agree with removing it though, because the accessory was one of the major reasons i got that hair.

Can’t you take other chars to high level fractals?

You can, but you won’t get the rewards from levels that are higher than your personal reward level, if your alt happens to be under reward level 10 for example, no matter how high levels you go to, you wont get pristine relics nor fractal skins.

That is the problem for people with lots of alts, you can’t really go in to a fractal without feeling that you are missing rewards by not playing with your main character (or whoever has the highest reward level).

I want to play with my elementalist, but its only on level 1, while my mesmer is 26 (meaning i have a chance to get fractal skin and 2 pristine relics on mesmer, but i wont get anything with my elementalist)

I don’t even understand why this is a problem for so many OLD players. Do you even know what the Heroic Edition gives you? Most of it is worthless for anyone who has played the game for more than one week.

Why do you need lousy experience boosters after a year of playing the game?
Why do you need a 18-slot box when you can get them dirt cheap from in-game?

Even the Legacy armor can be bought from within the game.

I honestly don’t understand why this promotion is such a big problem for people.

My mesmer, after trying out many different looks, i like this one the most.

Do whatever you want with them, just like any other item. I threw mine away.

Ive been annoyed about not being able to play with friends on these since the beginning.
it took over 30mins for me and my friend to be able to play Lunatic Inquisition together (which we wanted to do really badly).
with the same friend, we never managed to play the Bell Choir together, which was a huge dissapointment.
Now during Dragon Bash, i really wanted to be able to play Dragon Ball with a friend who just quite recently got Guild Wars 2, but we were never able to join the same game.

I do understand not letting full groups in to completely dominate the minigames, but cmon… these are not fun if you cant play with at least 1 friend.

they are as RNG as they used to be before, i havent noticed anything different, spent 70k karma today and got 2 priests, 3 different lodestones and few shards, didnt feel nerfed, just rng.

You put the ring in the Mystic Forge along with these 3 items:

1 Shard of Crystallized Mists Essence
3 Glob of Coagulated Mists Essence
5 Vial of Condensed Mists Essence

That is how you can get built-in AR for a ring.

and at the moment, the max AR is +40 (because you can only infuse rings)

Arah is too hard. Lot of players doing Arah first time or they’re not as experienced as they should be. The first 4 mob in P3 wipe the whole party… cmon. Arah needs to be a bit easier than now…

I don’t think its too hard, i think there would be something wrong if a group of first timers can go through the endgame dungeon without wipes.

If the first 4 mobs are constantly wiping your groups in Arah, i think you are just doing something wrong (as a group).

imo, Arah is good as it is right now.

You can get both of the backpacks, it took 1-2 hours to get them and a lot of players have them already.

I noticed this as well and im pretty dissapointed about it. Even the npc’s around Southsun are wondering what is causing the wildlife to be aggressive (implying that no one knows yet).
i honestly dont appreciate the items/achievements spoiling the story for us on the first day.

Oh, i saw people doing events everywhere around Southsun on my server, almost every event i saw, was being done by players.

This would be really useful for stacks of open-able items, double clicking open hundreds of items makes me feel like my mouse is going to break.

Also id like a “Deposit All” & “Withdraw All” buttons for bank (when handling money)

It doesn’t matter, you can still do the hearts even if they are higher level than you. There isnt much diffference between level 2 and 3, so just go at it.

Also exploring is big part of the game (point of interests, vista’s, skillpoints), along with the hearts and it will help you level up.

EDIT: oh yeah, since you are new, im just going to tell this now.

There is going to be a time when it starts to get slower to level up in your starting area and the hearts will be higher level than you, when that happens, you should considering going to the starting area of other races to level up.

Since you’ll get scaled down when you enter an area that is meant for lower levels, you’ll still get experience from the hearts that are lower level than you. (Believe me, it is extremely effective way of leveling up).

To go to another starting areas, just go to the capital city (such as Divinity’s Reach, Rata Sum, The Grove, Hoelbrak and The Black Citadel), then find the asura gate (shown as a purple whirl on the map) and you’ll get to Lion’s Arch and you can see the asura gates leading to other race’s capitals (which will lead to their starting areas)

It wouldn’t be a forced subscrption, it would only allow them to change the game to subcription based. So you’ll either pay the subscription or you cant play.
They are not going to forcefully take your money.

Only thing i can suggest is to get in to a guild that runs dungeons.
There is no lfg tool ingame, however, the lfg site is actually really good and fast..but since you dont want to use that, then oh well.

Not at home, so i cant check ingame, but as far as i remember, there were different achievements for sPvP and tPvP

for Mesmer at least, sPvP gives you Illusionist achievement (iirc) and tPvP gives you Champion Illusionist achievement and a title.

The sPvP achievements never gave titles.

Mesmers, been huge fan of them since Guild War 1.
I like the theme of manipulation and illusions.
i also like pretty things, so the shatter butterfly effects are nice and pink is my favourite color

Depends on stats and traits and how you play. I have knights armor with berserker accessory and gs + sword/pistol (with superior sigil of air on swords and bloodthirst on pistol) and mantra’s. i can burst down most enemies in Orr in a matter of seconds.

Mesmers are duelists, so they do excel in 1v1.

id rather have somewhat difficult dungeon for once, rather than constantly play the old dungeons that have become extremely easy to do.

the Molten Facility wasnt even that hard, sure it was somewhat challenging, but so what, challenge is fun for some.

Until they add difficulty option to dungeons, people will either complain that they are either too easy or too hard.

In this case, the dungeon was just released, you’ll have time to learn it. Id be very dissapointed if people were blasting through the dungeon like its nothing.

Why even bother, illusionary lea kitten o buggy at the moment that it already punishes you for using it, even 1 pixel bump on the terrain will get iLeap stuck and it wont hit the target.

It’s pretty stupid to complain about one person from anet doing a minigame like this by himself and the fact that its a cinematic artist makes it even more stupid.

cinematic artists only creates content to other developers content, they only work when they are needed and they have a lot of free time because of that.

One of those artists with the free time decided to use that to create something small and fun for you guys and you rage about it, beautiful.

Maybe you don’t find it fun and thats fine, people have their opinions, but making the flash minigame did not damage anything related to the development of GW2 itself.
Bug fixes and new content are not what cinematic artists do.

The things i miss the most are on the PvP side, namely Fort Aspenwood and The Jade Quarry game modes
Longer personal quests would be neat, i loved the long missions in GW1

At least with my human mesmer, when i have the super staff out while standing still, the bird is shown sideways and it blocks the characters face.
I think it would make more sense and be more appealing if the bird was facing the same direction as the player.

It’s not very fun to look at the birds animation’s and keep it out when its shown the way it is right now.

Ive asked about transmuting order equipment and moving it to different character (with white items) from support few weeks ago and this is the answer i got.

The issue you reported with being able to transmute Basic items and bypass soulbound restrictions is not the intended design of transmutation. Our Quality Assurance team has already been notified of the issues with this and are working to get this resolved as soon as possible.

In the past, there was a similar issue with Order of the Whispers skins that were acquired by players who were not a part of the Order of Whispers. When the issue was resolved, all items that had these skins applied on characters that should not be able to receive them were wiped and the skins were lost. Any items that are currently benefiting from this issue will likely see a similar resolution with the unintended skin being removed from the character and unrecoverable. Taking part in this issue would see the risk of losing your items.

So i would personally be cautious while doing this. Its confirmed that you wont get banned from doing it, but your item might get removed if you do this.

When ive been at the Grove, there is this piano music playing in the middle of it (with the spiraling leaf thing) that plays even if you have music turned off.

Most people who use the Mystic Forge knows the risks, so i can’t give any sympathy for anyone who is mad because they didnt get a precursor.
Only thing i would agree on is that there should be other way to get one (not an easy way of course, but a way that doesn’t require that much gamble or TP)

I for one, kinda like taking the risk of putting rares to the mystic forge, its a fancy feeling when you wait and see what you are going to get. Only thing that comes to my mind when i lose money from it is “dang…. oh well, im not using my money on anything else anyways, so i’ll just buy more rares”

the MF is also one of the reasons (along with the other materials for legendary) why i started to work towards a legendary only after i had every other armor and weapon the way i wanted, that way i didnt care where my money went, because i didnt need that money on anything anymore.
