Most of my characters are human, so is my Engineer.
In my opinion, humans females have the best looking medium armor.
For light armored characters i chose Asura because their T3 cultural is really cool (and they are adorable)

No thanks, Guild Wars 2 currently has the best type of F2P model (B2P), I quite like it the way it is.

Also the limits you just said would make every single f2p player quit playing the game, after a while.
I havent seen f2p mmo’s that punish you so badly for not paying for the game.

I also always felt that games that shifted to F2P always started lacking on quality, getting way too much focus on the cash shops (because then that will be the only source of money for them.)

Limited trial is something i could understand though, but lets not be too hasty… Remember that the game is not even a year old.

Well for one, whenever you see bunch of the same mesmer run at you, its always a shatter, ive heard that the best way to avoid that is to run at them and roll to dodge the shatter effect.

Some mesmers also trait their illusions to deal damage when killed, so i would suggest to kill illusions from distance, this also prevents them from shattering on you.

Easiest way to actually kill a mesmer is to know who the actual player is, mesmers are not the most tankiest characters in the game, but they do have great survivability if built right.
Phantoms are the easiest to notice, since they are purple and don’t look like the mesmer.
Illusions are slightly harder to see, but they do differ from the original.
Illusions as far as i know, do not carry an off-hand weapon, they NEVER strafe or dodge. They only move in straight at you to get to the range.

Scepter/Torch mesmers usually deals a lot of confusion, as its one of the best properties of a scepter (and i think torch phantom dealt confusion as well)

Never hit a mesmer when they use Chaos Armor (the purple ball around them) as it can give you different conditions when you hit it, including confusion.

If you are against a mesmer with Sword/pistol or Sword/Sword, always dodge the Illusionary Leap (the fast moving illusion), because the mesmer can swap to it, immobilize you and start their Blurred Frenzy, which deals a lot of damage.

Always stay close to a mesmer with greatsword, because greatswords deal more damage depending on how far away you are.

Those are some tips i thought randomly that should hopefully help you a bit, can’t write anything in-depth right now because im at school.

What did I say to the Mesmer? I told him to play a class that takes kittening skill. I don’t think opponents can hear you though.

If you were fighting against me and said that, i would feel pretty kitten insulted and would most probably report you. People like you need to keep their mouths shut, because not everyone choose a class based on how op they are, but because they like it.

I for one, chose to play Mesmer ever since Guild Wars 2 was annouced, i never cared about whetever they would be op or not, i just liked Mesmers concept.

If someone like you would just say kitten like that to me and tell me to play another class, i would sincerely hope that you would get banned for verbal abuse.

I hate culling because it makes otherwise lively places look extremely dead and lonely because other players wont load , its sad to walk around LA without being able to see anyone unless they are right in your face.

Ive never had anything like this happen to me, no one ever asks me to use portal.
However i do use it to help my group / other people just for the sake of helping and being friendly.
Like the swmp fractal, it is ridiculous fast with a portal, so i don’t see any reason not to use it. I sometimes help people to get trough jumping puzzles with it as well. It is a great helping skill.

But as Samiell said, no one can force you to do their bidding, those are your skills and you should use them the way you want, if someone annoys you about you not using YOUR skills the way they want, just block them.

My worst “doh” moment was while doing WvWvW with my guild, i was hiding in a keep that other server just conquered, i told our zerg that i was in the keep.
hey came to the keep, expecting to be portaled in, but i accidentally used my portal before finding a good place to jump down, so i panicked, went to the closest cliff i could find thinking that with my -50% fall dmg reduction, i would survive.
I ended up falling dead in front of our zerg, laughing my as off and being extremely embarrassed.

Either way, its not funny and you should either redraw or remove those concept pieces no matter how good they are and either add mounts to the game or abolish the idea forever, cause your just making people mad by doing this.

Why should it be redrawn? Is it forbidden to draw random characters having mounts when its related to a game that doesn’t have mounts? Does it really bother you that much?

Its just art…. Or do you honestly think that just because players in Guild Wars 2 don’t have mounts, absolutely no one in Tyria (lore-wise) has them? There is bound to be other people in Tyria with mounts.

Finally finished building my Mesmers armor and weapons.

My favourite skill would be Chaos Storm, due to its crowd control abilities and boons.

Least favourite skill is Illusionary Leap, the range is really short and the clone has really hard time navigating any other surface than flat, making it hard to use.

They should add another tier in between exotic and legendary which are easier to obtain and are less flashy for casual gamers. This way, really good players still keep their legendary bling and more casual gamers get a consolation prize.

Stat-wise, Legendaries and Exotics are the same, so there is no tier to be put in between them.

Look-wise you have the Cultural Tier 1-3 weapons and dungeon weapons, if you want a less flashy weapon that looks good, get one of those.

I doupt it, Canthan new year was always held in Cantha, never in Tyria.
It might happen if Cantha is ever added to GW2

It has nothing to do with us wanting more, the problem is that they gave us less than they promised, they gave us false information.

All this time ive been waiting for guesting to come and i STILL cant play with my american friends while im on EU?! That is so bullkitten, Anet should have at least told beforehand that i can only play on EU servers.

I am not impressed at all, actually i am kinda annoyed, i can now freely throw all of my hopes of ever being able to play with my US friends. Nice, just kittening beautiful

I feel really betrayed after having high hopes of being able to play with US friends ever since the beta. We were NEVER told that there is no cross-region guesting, we were told that we can guest on EVERY world with friends in it.
This was never a problem in Guild Wars 1

I personally don’t think that mesmers are too tied to shattering, during my time as a mesmer, ive been trying out multiple builds and styles and most of them seem to work very well (in PvE at least, i don’t do much PvP. WvW sometimes).
Though i am currently using shattering build, which i actually really like.

I haven’t really been reading too many posts on the forums in a long time, so i was wondering if there has been any information about when the guesting feature is going to be added?

Ive been waiting for it since beta and i really want it while my friends on other servers are still playing, it is going to be useless if they release it when my friends have already quit the game. ( some of them already have) I can’t join their server because of my guild and because i have rl friends on my server.

No She means a permanent one. One that doesn’t disappear after use.

oh alright, i thought of it as permanent hair change, didn’t think about the actual item being permanent, which is an odd thought now that i think of it.. but then again i’m also quite tired.

My first “wow” was when i was slapped with hard difficulty song in Bell Choir for the first time.
Second “wow” was when i finally learned how to ace the hard difficulty song, that’s the point when i really started to enjoy Bell Choir in general (and its currently my favourite activity in the game….ever.)

I have never seen a game fail twice (in a row) at the holiday events. They are suppose to be fun, easy, enjoyable, relaxing and cause spontaneous fun. Here they are just dungeon grinds, junky rewards, next to impossible (if not impossible) jumping puzzles. I have never felt so miserable during holiday events until I came here.

If I wanted content this bad, I would have signed up for World of Warcraft.

I wish I could be positive…. just disgusted.

But that is exactly what this event is.
So far every activity in here has been pretty fun and easy.

Winter Wonderland JP is nowhere near impossible, if i had to rate its difficulty, id say its ‘normal’ (in comparison to any other jump puzzle in the game), it certainly is easier than Clocktower (which also wasnt impossible).

Bell Choir took a while to get used to, but ended up being quite fun, at least its something new.

Tixx’s Workshop is nowhere near grinding, did you even try it? It takes max 30mins to beat and changes every day.

Loot being junk really depends on peoples opinion, the gift loot is supposed to be crap because you collect them to buy items from the gift exchange (and i think those items are pretty cool.)

Yeah :/. It feels like they completely forgot this feature, it really should be in the game already. Most of my friends in other servers have quit the game, never had a chance to play with them, which is sad because i was looking forward for the guesting feature. too bad it will never happen.

The clone move is one of the most useless downed skills in the game.
It confuses friends more than enemies, enemy players will pretty much always know which one is real, but friendly players are always reviving the fake one, it’s extremely annoying.

Even if they add the guesting, its way too kittening late for me. Most of the friends i had on other servers are slowly moving on to other games, my chance to play with them is gone already.

I couldn’t keep constantly changing servers either because of my guild and having all of my RL friends in same server, it was the non-rl friends i could never play with, thanks to Anet never releasing the guesting feature they talked about way before the launch of the game.

Hey, i couldn’t find any suggestions for this, so i decided to make my own.

I think it would be neat idea to have New Krytan language as a selectable “text language” in options, as well as having an option to write in New Krytan in the chat (with possibility to enable/disable seeing New Krytan, for people who wants to understand it without reading too much in to it)

I started using mantra build with lots of healing power items yesterday and ive liked it. I find it really useful when you can heal everyone around you each time you cast mantra’s, it gives you maximum of 4 AoE healing skills which are semi-spammable.
Going to play around with it for a while, it’s a nice change from my usual sword+pistl/Greatsword build

I would assume its somewhere around 19:00 GMT like Act 3… and i think Act 2 started around that time as well

Honestly, the Clock Tower was hard at first, but after you beat it once and know your way around it, it is ridiculously easy and extremely short.

If they made the Clock Tower any easier, i probably wouldnt have enjoyed it as much.
I love challenge and since i was waiting for the tower’s release ever since i saw the picture of it, i hoped that it would be really challenging, as it is a special jumping puzzle.
