If they don’t change it, if im not mistaken, someone could even get to the leader boards with 0% wins… Even if there s no one with 0 wins now, it s just wrong that it s a possibility in my opinion.
If someone never wins a match eventually their odds of winning will be always 0-39%, so as long as they can get more than 300 points they can keep climbing the leaderboards.
A group of decent to good players can troll the lb getting to the top with 0 wins if they want.
To explain it better if a group of 5 good players lose on purpose eventually they mmr will be so low that their odds from winning will be so low also. And they will always play against players that are new to pvp or that aren t in a full team. So they could keep getting +1 or + 2 if they get to 400 and then let the other team win.I dont think that someone will try it, but even if no one does it, it feels bad to know that it s technically possible that someone get to the top with 0 wins.

but srly, this shouldn’t be a thing. I like the idea that a team is rewarded for playing good even if they lose. But i think it shouldn’t give points losing, instead it just shouldn’t give as much minus-points for losing a close game instead of losing 500-0

pls give everybody even chances at the start of the test season and reset the mmr. Right now top players will never be able to achieve more than 1 point per game. Their mmr is so high, that they never get a matchup they should lose —> winning always awards only one point. While the top players already got long ques (bc no one else on their level is queing) they get also punished bc they can only get 1/3 of the points other players can get

i guess leaderboards are not perfect yet, there are some things that may have to be changed so people with very bad mmr are not top. But i think best is to wait for the testseason. Once its over we have enough data to actually see what is wrong and what is good.

With the new changes to the que/charswitching we need build templates even more. I think this one should come with the 2. december patch. The other stuff we get is great and i love it, maybe some tweaks to the rewards at the end of the season are needed, but of course its only a test season so i guess i will be happy with it

some kind of solution could be to not get dishonor when playing with a full group. people who play with a full group rarely leave during a match. If they do its mostly due to dcs. If they really ragequit they get punished by the players they play with (they wont take them anymore)

i hardly call that a balance patch. One skill per class? Seems like they put a lot of effort in this to keep us thinking they do regular balance. And it wont even affect any of the problems (mightstacking, dd ele, celestial, Shatter Mes) the current (EU) Meta has

I wanted to give you a bit critque for your support build, but sadly except for the weapon and amulett choice most of your choices make no sense to me.

the other two can be used but i think a guard should run atleast one stability
also using two consecration and then not going for the trait..
Tome of courage: you can go for it if you really want, but then take the stability trait for it

pls dont see this as an offense. Its good to make your own thoughts about builds,. But a good thing is to go first with meta builds to kinda learn the class and then when you got some knowledge think of changes to improve it for yourself

I hope they can add seasons and league or it’s a total fail.
What they announced in 2 days is more than most of the pvp community excpected from them. So we should be thankful about that and the we should say that the patch is a fail at all
To the league thing:
It would be cool to see it but i think a leaderboard rework will do fine too (just a permanent decay). I think there are not enough teams for a league system. Just look how easy it is to get into top100 teamq leaderboard. Also its kinda hard to do a league system for teams bc that would nail teams down and delete pugging
And to the people complaining about having no “middle” ground skill based reward:
I am pretty sure you can get parts of the set at the ToG. I think they will hand out a full set to the winner, maybe 3 parts to the second and so on

(btw on engi most of the kitskills can be interrupted by switch weapon(which drops the kit). But ofc that wont work for conjured weapon skills because you would lose the weapon and it also wont work for downstate abilitys)

People need to learn to play more as a team. necro shouldnt be a 1v1 class its a class to be in a teamfight just like mesmer. necro has great condiburst und utility (corrupt,plaque). If People try harder to protect their own necro im sure it will be viable.
Its just as good as mesmer. Giving Necros more mobility or disengage isnt a good idea in my opinion. Every class should lack in some points to make teamplay essential. I think buffing necro would end up in having op necros again, but maybe it would help to fix some things with supporting necros. So i would suggest to improve the UI, so people can see if the necro is in DS or in his normal healthbar or maybe let heal and regeneration work even if the necro is in deathshroud

I agree, that i would be great to give us rated 2v2+ leaderboards for that. i did some 2v2 with friends to train for esl and it was a lot of fun, we nearly played 2v2 the whole day. But as much joy it will bring for most of the people i see why anet didnt implement it yet, bc there are some serious issues/question.
First and most important one is: How can they prevent people from trolling? Esl cup works so fine bc its forbidden to run douple bunker and cheesy traits like PU. for a rated 2v2 without enemys with a bit of honor, you will get a lot of douple bunker stalematches and people with alot of stealth running and kiting all the match.
Second thing is Balance ofc. The game is Balance around 5v5 conquest(!). its not balanced for 2v2. There will most likly be some kind of cheesy op 2v2 combinations. Also hardcounters are a big problem
Third issue is, that doing a 2v2 q would most likly split the (little) pvp community even more, but maybe it will also bring more people into pvp, still its a risk for anet
Still i would love to see a 2v2 rated q. I hope anet can find some solutions, mainly for the first issue. the other 2 arent that bad. Also i would like to have a 2v2 leaderboards not with playernames, but with teamnames

i agree, that engi is a easy target in a teamfight, but if you like it and i suits your playstyle (andyou re good with it) you can still play it at high level. it may not be the best choice but its not unviable. Engi got good buffs from the sigils but still lacks the same counter. if you buff it so it got less counter, it will be OP for sure

i think the solution with temq-leaderboards is a good idea. Make a statement (as soon as possible), so everybody knows whats up, and then they have enough time to get a good enough rank in the (teamq) leaderboards
edit: you may make a thread where people who want to help you can join you. Its not that hard to get into top 300, so if you could handle 64 team, no one could complain (even pve/wvw players would have a chance). It would mean that top 320 or even worse could participate ( not everyone in top 300 will join this event)

Most people who are happy about the changes (which i think is the majority) dont say anything in the forums. Only people who see some flaws (there a some minor flaws in my opinion but nothing dramatic so far) post on the forums. Or people who have expensive weapons and dyes. but this will settle bc it should be one of the better patches.
So i think the answer is both mob mentality and that happy people dont complain in the forums

i think the change only affects utility turrets.. The healing turret would be stated under “healing skills”
also they gave every turret a new cd, except the healing turret. so i guess they dont change the healing turret at all (which is good in my opinion bc theres no reason for it)

i just wanted to tell that the dodgeroll seems to be bugged. Normally when you dodge you got a short invu frame where stuns and direct dmg wouldnt hit you. A few
weeks ago i often got stuned when i thought i dodged in time. Well because i cant be sure, that a actually dodged in time i just thought i wasnt fast enough or got lags.
To be sure i tested it with a friend with hambow, and he hit me sometimes while i was dodging. I got rupted in the dodgeanimation and slammed to the ground. But because i also dodged some i again thought it could be a bug or a lag.
But 2 days ago i got it again. And this time it was obvious, that it was a bug and not a lag. A thief used his elite venom and stuned me while i dodged. I got set in stone with my asura while the asura was doing the backflip animation. and the stun was long enough for me to clearly see, that i was “standing” still midair with the body in a horizontal position.
I hope you can get something out of this wall of text and fix this problem soon, because for me (as an engi) its a huge gamebreaker if i cant rely on my dodges (with all this wars around)
Also if some people who read this and also have this problem it would be nice if they can confirm it. so they know it actually is a thing

-The Footprints are a joke compared to others. A Quip or a Predator got like 3 footprints you cant even see in most places while others got 10-15 shiny footprints.

1. Warrior -its time to get them balanced
2. Engineer- they still have several bugs (traits and things like bigolbomb-radius). they may need some tiny buffs to some builds and some nerf to other (Decap). Also the legendary aura shouldnt get removed when you swap to an kit
3.Thievs -Perma evade(i have no problem with fighting thieves, but the time they can get by chaining dodge is insane)

one main problem beside not killing the engi is, that these knockbacks are instant. so what you did is “timing” your random dodges, great job. the enemy engi just was bad and probably hit in your stab. against a decap engi its mostly luck and some quick reflexes with stunbreak (which you may have. i dont want to saw you re not good. i just want to tell it wasnt because of you that you dont get decapped).
I think the problem with the knockbacks cant be solved because you would take away something important of the engi (knockbacks are also defense for some builds). So if they would change Ar to something like: remove all condis when entering 25% hp it may solve the problem. Condi classes like other engis or necros would kill the decappermore often. They will probably still get decapped but they would kill him. Or maybe they should change the automatic medical response (inventions 15). this may be one of the main resons why necros right now cant kill an decapper. normally you just have to apply your condis at 40% hp and look how he dies. AR wont help him. Thats what you do with bombnade engis with ar. This 15 points trait however saves the life of the engi then.

I dont think the bomb buff is the reason why so many people are running decapper. many dont even use bombs. Engi gets nerf nearly every patch. So its not the nerf which brought them up. Ive seen decapper a year ago. It just wasnt that popular. Mainly because Burst setups can handle it better. A mes and a Thief kill an engi in seconds after his toolkitblock. Same with necro and thief. so they can rotate (maybe with portal) and then beat them on mid. Also you couldnt run a decapper because against burst setups your mid wont hold 3vs4 long enough.
So in my opionion there are 3 things bringing up decap engis. first because there is a more tanky meta, second because it just got popular (it was there the whole time) and last but not least because there are many engis who cant play something else right know. Backpoint engis got a hard time (it still kind of viable but it got harder) and burstengis are not viable. I cant tell you a single 1 v 1 which is a freekill for an engi. You may got a better change against thief, but they wont die if they are not stupid because they can leave. and they can still kill you with luck. Necros, Wars and Scepter/focus ele are hardcounter. A Ranger is even, same on mes, a offguard got a chance although you will probably kill him and an engi is even again.

i would like the idea to ban bunker guard. this would change the setup completly. right now it may only be a turnament with less played existing builds.
i understand that its hard to play without bunker guard, but i would like to see how people would handle this issue. maybe with a bunker ele, regenbanner war or midbunker engi.

i can only tell you about the engi-pov and i dont think they need to change ar or incedary powder. engi is balaced well. hes not op and not really up. so why change it. you can outplay ar and engis have a lot of options so there is enough skill needed on higher niveau. why change something that isnt broken?
lyssa in my opinion should be like: convert all condtition into boons not remove all and give all boons
thief for sure has a little bit to many evades. if you watch a thief 1 o 1 they sometimes just evade without anything happening. and the chain 4 evades. thats too much. but it isnt easy to nerf it bc you destroy them with a nerf really quick
