Actually, in case of a draw, the team of the player with the highest personal score wins. In case top player of each team tie, it looks at the 2nd highest, etc…
I haven’t tested the case where all players tie, but I believe that in that case Red team wins.
Too many boons —> Instead of shaving their amount/duration, boons are nerfed.
That’s the laziest approach you can get. It doesn’t fix anything, it’s just a band-aid to cover the mess it has become.
Now, you want to do the same thing with conditions. Oh I’m confident ANet will support this approach 100%. The game will just keep on agonizing to power creep, and becoming more and more difficult and time consuming to shave.
Leeto was joking about having signet of spite on auto attack, but I’m confident we will have that at some point. Give it a few more power creep patches (you know, the things they call “balance patch”) and we will get there.
By the time anet published their foggy goals, they were still figuring out what to change. And we all know they won’t be ready by tuesday, and will either push random things that make no sense or stick to the preview, which, all in all, is the same.
Please, stop calling it balance. It is not.
And no, necromancer will be trashed hard. Only active defense they have to survive focus ? Dodge. And they want to butcher energy sigil.
It will be “focus the necro” as usual, only more effective.

Anet’s super lazy way:
- Too easy to get 25 might stack —> Let’s nerf might.
- Too much slow and quickness —> nerf slow and quickness.
- Too many boons —> nerf boons.
Shaving ? Oh come on, neckbeard is the new sexy.
There’s no balance, only power creep. No shaving, no toning down, no balls to take unpopular measures (nerf everything), no will to do a decent job, nor the brain to do it, no knowledge as they don’t even know their own game, no interest either as people already bought HoT, nothing really.
Balance team are a bunch of clowns, hurting the game to the full extent of their abilities. /clap
He is right about balance patch being another power creep. Anet still don’t understand or most probably doesn’t want to spend time toning down the kittening huge power creep this pile of catnip has become.
Too many boons ? Ok butcher blighter’s boon and add more corruptions. Shaving boons ? What ? Never!
Don’t get me wrong, Im okay with a damage reduction.
Remove all traits that can passively remove chill, don’t treat chill as a condi so it can’t be dispelled, just like alacrity that can’t be removed. Then ok. Otherwise, don’t compare.
I’m about to get legendary in less than 250 matches (that’s roughly 4-5 matches per day) with a non meta profession on a non meta build, without ever tanking MMR, and solo. I can tell you how already: it’s all about picking the right time of the day (the morning) and most importantly: getting lucky.
You probably never played against thief+mesmer: moa from stealth while you get immobilized and burst to death.
Continuum Split resets elite CD because killing a single moa 100-0 without any form of counterplay was deemed too weak. Now chronomancers can kill 2 players right away.
The “holistic approach to balance” anet talked about will probably state that it’s meaningless in zerg vs zerg or large pve pulls (2 game modes out of 3) and change Moa to be AoE. After all, they said they will buff unused skills/traits, and Moa is almost never used nowadays.
I expect the upcoming change of meta to be apocalyptic.

3.Get turned into a moa without warning and for ludicrously long periods of time, be a sitting duck with no counterplay or access to your skills whatsoever.
Moa is my biggest concern with mesmers, way bigger than daze+stun from stealth. That’s why I love facing chrono bunkers with their double gravity wells. 
Moa is one of the worst skill ever: you can’t break out of it, it lasts 10 kittening second (are they serious ?!). It has been there forever, and has received close to no complaint. Why ? WHY ?!
I’m really scared that after the balance patch we see chrono shatter with double moa from stealth. This kitten has to go.

I have yet to see a post from anet acknowledging that this game suffers from power creep. So this balance patch will probably just be a shift of power, certainly not a significant tone down.

Real reason it’s down is because it was clearly showing that people with 47% win rate can reach legendary. Just tank mmr like crazy. 
By the way, mmr tanking has not been addressed for season 2. It’s like anet saying: “long live mmr tanking!”

Nerf everything to the level of the old overpower d/d ele that still exists but is completely overthrown. Do you understand what power creep is ANET ? DO YOU ?!!
Case study among others: foefire’s lords. Easily killed by a single player. So people want lords to be buffed significantly. But give them the support of chrono/tempest, and they are unkillable… Completely messed up.
Nerf everything at various degrees: CCs over stability, heals and active defenses over damage; but nerf everything: passive traits, CDs, amount/duration of boons, EVERY-kittenING-THING.

I wish half of your ideas gets implemented. But with their pve/pvp/wvw holistic approach I don’t expect anything but a few meaningless changes.
ANET don’t understand what power creep is, nor why it is killing PvP.
Last hope for mmo pvp is Crowfall.
If you were crying about solo Q vs premade in conquest, your eyes will bleed you out when it happens in stronghold.
Just a duo of tempests make it a nightmare. Against full bunkers, their door breakers are unstoppable (even treb sting like a bee) and their lord will never go down.
Nerf those kittening heals and boons rain and aoe invuln, HARD !
I’m good at solving puzzles/riddles/enigmas, you name it, and I can tell you: this one is hard. 
Please add some spaces to make it more readable, it is worth doing to bring more attention. 
Haha Serophous, I had the same idea. These kind of remarks need to be plastered all over in hope that ANet get a clue. They invest absolutely no resources in balance. They are just passively killing the game.
And what is doing Grouch ? I believe he did more for the game when he held his “state of the game” stream, asking embarrassing questions to anet staff, than now. And yes I know it’s not his job at all. I just thought he was passionate about the game.

Scrapper’s hammer damage is ridiculously high. Power builds are not viable in this bunker meta unless you have high damage mitigation/heals/active defenses like scrapper (so hard to kill and they use kittening marauder) or like revenant (WTF is that sustain with viper amulet ? Are they serious ?).
Still waiting for some insight on the incoming balance.

No, we breath cancer every single match. You might not see or feel it because you’re too used too it. But think of that specific setup like the ultimate/most advanced form of cancer, for now.
In this meta, if you can’t sustain in glass you’re not a damage dealer, you’re a liability to your team, and people treat you like garbage. So, deal damage with rev or go bunker.
I play a non meta build on a non meta profession, so I have my share of emotional abuse. That’s why, from time to time, I give my body to opponent’s team for science, and I drink the tears of my “teammates” in return.
I also perversely enjoy the ultra toxic community anet is crafting. It’s fascinating.

Mods, don’t work too hard, it’s bad for health. Take example from balance team.
If you stick to that pip system, when a game ends at like 170-250 (happens a lot in stronghold), scores should be upscaled. So, pip-wise, the score would be treated as 340-500.
Druid:
- Only bad matchup is against power rev.
- Stalemate against chrono bunker (+ engi at waterfall-like locations, otherwise druid wins over time).
- Favored in all other matchups.
Diamond is like the end of the road for most players, a point at which they can finally:
- ditch that boring meta build they played for so many hours
- relax and play for fun, like in a real game
Only pip junkies continue, and you know pip junkies, they are the worst.
Bunker mesmers need a 5th panic button to cover their soldier/sentinel geared kitten ? Because they already used 4, reseted them, used them all again, double dodged and now they’re stuck with nothing for 6 sec ?
Improving warrior’s own active defenses will just worsen the current bunker wars.
In my opinion, one of the best fix would be to tone down active defenses and heals of other professions. There’s too many dodges, distortions, blurs, blocks, invuln… Not to mention damage reduce and heals like 100% uptime party-wide protection/regen, etc…

GG is not: it doesn’t translate as a hand shack after a game. It might be true in case of close games; otherwise, the person doesn’t understand what “good game” means or is trolling.
Most players don’t even know the difference between GG and GZ (congratulation) nowadays. Like someone saying he reached rank 80, and others replying “GG”… Good sportsmanship there! Oh wait…
Base duration is fine, but the cast time is not: when my target is blocking, I have to cancel my current cast, cast shout, then re-cast my initial skill. So much time lost when blocks don’t last that much (and combat is so fast paced). It defeats the purpose of the shout…
About chrono bunkers, I find corrupt boon unreliable with so many blurs, random dodges, blinds, whatever, and the CD is too high. Well of Corruption works better, especially when their teammates are stacked to benefit from their wells. And there’s so much bright stuff going on that they can’t even see it.

Condi revs (the only kind I face since 10 days), when they dodge, get 2 stacks of stability: one lasting between 3.5 (facet of nature on CD) to 4.8s and the other 7.1 to 9.6 sec. And you know how much dodge they get with Riposting Shadows… And they usually have energy sigil. They can’t run out of stability (nor resistance). It’s disgusting.
They don’t have enough players. That’s why they can’t split solo queue and team queue, which alienates solo players, shrinking the PvP population even more.
The balance, matchmaker, pip system, HotM being a prison, doesn’t help much either.
A lot needs to be done, especially to fight power creep, and they are not willing to do anything for the next 2 months. I don’t expect much from that future balance patch either.
Time to find a game, something you can enjoy, not a hate-inducing software causing pain and suffering.
Bring back Raid of the Capricorn, and remove all other maps.
Oh, and don’t think we forgot about Stronghold.
Only thing I disagree on with Sheobix is warhorn 4 being crucial. Lately, I wasn’t even attempting to break any revenant’s block because they had stability and/or resistance. And you can’t efficiently corrupt today’s rev: they start with 6 boons and can re-apply them in case you corrupt some.
Mesmers are less likely to have stability though.
Usually, I don’t want to be in melee outside of RS, too many CCs, so instead of warhorn I’m trying focus. Life force generation with focus 4 is nice, and focus 5, albeit its cast time, is rather safe at long range and is pretty impactful when it lands.

You could still have a winner by running internal matches to determine the team that will cap a point on stream. That would require trust, while there’s money to win, so I don’t expect much…

Worst thing about the power creep PvP suffers from ? Anet doesn’t want to split skills and traits into PvP and PvE anymore, and toning them down would destroy the fragile balance they have for Raids.
Can’t kick a rock without finding a Revenant these days. I’m safe from Mesmers…for now…. I think a Bunker/Heal Mesmer+Condi Rev on point A+B with a roaming fifth will make an invincible comp. You can’t kick em off the point, the two classes are just indestructible. But its k, Nerf thief.
See all the boons everyone gets ? The necro trait that gives 1% life force per boon received got butchered because other professions are giving them like candies at Halloween.
Balance team is a kittening fraud.
