I can guarantee you that there is no torrents running, no internet connection problems, no buged maps and so on. Fact is that if half or even more of the server gets massive lag spikes regulary right after the last patch, then the problem isnt located in the individual players computer.

Gunnars hold server. Theres not only lag in WvW but in PVE do, all because of the latest update. Rumour has it that GH isnt the only server.

As someone who commands regulary i simply give up playing and taging until Anet fixes the GOD kitten LAGG ISSUE!!!

Its simply stupid when you get massive lagg spikes every 2-3 minutes followed by disconnect. If you dont get dc then you have the “joy” to see half or more of your blob dc.

What are you guys at Anet doing? Gives us some god kitten feedback atleast on if youre are atleast trying to resolve the problem or not!!

It was like lagg hell yesterday in WvW and at times it seemed stupid that the 50+zerg i was leading, half of them got disconnected (me too sometimes) cause of the massive persistant lagg that has been going on since the last patch.

Anet, are you gona do something or are we gona get another reply saying “its not the servers issue, but individual players issue”. Thats a load of crap. Its not possible that many people got lagg issues all of a sudden right after last patch.

I dont know about other servers but Gunnars Hold has been having massive lags today. Its not me alone who has been having them, the entire server has them.
Anet can you please look into this?

I cant see nothing funny in these sort of things. Its strictly ruining the fun in WvW, especialy when you have seen trolling such as this quite often.

About myself:

Im a regular pug commander in GH. I often tag when nobody else wants to tag- whether when our keep is about to fall, when enemies have massive blobs or when the pugs are in the mood to annoy any commander who tags up. As mentioned earlier then i often face against ridicilous big numered blobs, often outnumbered from 1:2 up to 1:4 times. I know how to lead in blob fights, i know how to defend objectives, how to strategically place siege weapons against objectives and against blobs, also i know how to annoy enemy servers as much as possible. Thats all i can say about my commanding abilities shortly. Usualy i tag from afternoon up to late night.

Now im not quite sure about leaving my server, still deciding. All im asking is a high potential list of servers when it comes to skills and rising to the top. Preferably servers that have the potential but need an commanding boost. Since i dont like queues and i want to command often, im not looking at gold tier servers. I prefer bronze ones, maybe even silver tier.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

But in all seriousness- i just love leading people who follow me. Partialy cause im a attention kitten and mostly cause it makes me feel good when people get loot, karma or heavily fortified towers/keeps/castles. So pretty much i zerg cause of the people.

Also for me the commanding challenge is fun, knowing that the server i play in is often outnumbered. So figuring out how to use the pug zerg who follows me against an enemy blob that often outnumbers us 1:2 or even in some cases 1:3 and coming out as the winner is a great challenge. With some well placed siege and good choking points, those enemy blobs melt like butter, knowing that most commanders have a “push push push push” mentality and close to zero tactical thinking.

About me: Im new into the WvW commander buisness. I think i started out about 6 months ago by doing small deeds with the people who followed me such as flipping towers and killing few people.

When time passed on i slowly started to also do some minor blob killing and finaly went over to huge blob fights. Sometimes i got wiped with the people who followed me, sometimes we even had great success and did some amazing jobs (3-ways fights, flipping fully upgraded SM and so on and on).
But theres one thing that i have most of the times had a hard time being used to- the number of people following me in TS (which personaly means a lot more for me then the ppl who arent following me in TS). When i started then it was about 10-15 if i was lucky and when i got better in commanding then it increased to atleast 25-35 people regulary. In best and rare moments ive had up to 45+ people following me.

Though that came to an end. I dont know what happened, maybe the tournament ended but the number of people who are willing to follow me now has droped to 15 in TS if im lucky.
I cant get any numbers at all and im often interested in blob fights instead of flipping some towers for the 10000th time. But leading pugs with low numbers to take on small groups or a blob isnt the same as leading a guild raid and cause of that i have had high excpectations and we often got wiped out. Which also has decreased my “popularity” by a lot.

Now heres the real problem and some have mentioned to me- “Your voice is just ugghh. Theres no enthusiasm at all.” And even recently i got told “Your voice makes people suicide”. When i heared this in the beginning then i just tried to ignore them, eventhough i knew they were/are right. But now i just dont know what to do…

Its not like i have the power to change my own voice. I just dont see it possible. It also feels quite downgrading when some other commander tags up and he manages to draw in from double to triple the number of people into TS compared to my current number. Even taging in prime time wont get me nowhere. Makes me feel like im a complete nobody.
Often i have felt annoyed how some other few commanders “have shined into my face” about how succesful they are and sometimes even asked me something like: “I can take over if you cant handle” which seems like a insult cause i often lead with 2-3x less people then they do and im quite sure i have proven to people who have followed me how capable i am of commanding in small groups and what i can actualy do when i get a decent sized blob following my tag.

To some it all up- im a almost washed up WvW commander, who has a ugly voice, who has low amount of followers and who very often prefers doing blob fights instead of doing the regular karma train. And im close to abandoning the one thing that keeps me in GW2 and which i love the most- commanding pugs who sometimes make you feel like you want to pull your hair out, lol.

I hate when wvw commanders want everyone to be in TS, then require you to talk to prove you’re actually on the map and not a spy.

What on earth are you talking about? I seriously dont understand in which server you play on but what you just said made me do a serious facepalm for obvious reasons:

1. We want people mostly to talk to give some information about ongoing events that commanders simply can not see closely if we are on the other side of the map. In other words we want scouting details such as “AM blob at SM”, “30 man blob moving to…” and so on.

2. How on earth can you prove on TS that youre not a spy by talking???? Also do people even give a kitten if there actualy is someone spying since most experienced commanders are not interested in karma trains but rather are interested in whiping out blobs. Furthermore the tournament is over aka nobody cares about the score.

3. Also commanders want people in TS so the blob fights would be more organized on your side. Do you think blob fights are all about random fights everywhere around? Heck no. If your blob wins then its strictly cause the commander is giving orders on where to go with the group following him, what to do, who to attack, what skills to use, what to build and so on and so on.
The success of the blob fights, fliping towers/keeps/castle depends on the commanders leading skills and most of all- the people following him and listening what to do in TS while also giving some information about things that the commander cant see.

Now do you see the priority of TS in WvW?

As someone who commands often in WvW and uses TS, this is what i have to say:

Im a quiet person, i dont talk much and my voice is also somewhat similar to a quiet mans personality. I even dislike my voice quite a lot. Heck i even get chills down my spine when i hear my own voice echo through someone elses mic.
Ive even heared comments saying “Your voice has no enthusiasm at all” and “that voice, eww” similar comments from time to time.

What i usualy have done is say to myself and rarely to the person itself “hell with it, im da commander whose getting you loot and if you dont like it then gtfo and find someone who has a Freddie Mercury voice to follow”. This has helped me out quite a lot for some weird reason.

But yeah in commanders case people usualy start to care less and less about the voice and focus more on what good actions the commanders do to the people following them.

So with my crappy voice and my good will towards the people following me, i usualy get 15-35 (very rarely 40+) people following me every time i tag up.

I can promise you this that even if your voice makes peoples ears bleed or even if it will makes people laugh at you then you still will slowly start to gain more and more respect towards yourself from the people youre talking to, depending on how useful you are in teamspeak.

Is it so kitten difficult to block the person whose taged up or join the god kitten squad?

Its not difficult at all to notice someone whose capable of organizing and leading and whose not. Not difficult at all. It applies for PVE and WvW.

Get some glasses people. Also joining a squad and /block works quite well.

At the moment it is painfuly annoying to make superior siege in the mystic forge. If i want to make lets say 200 superior rams then i have to make ~2000 clicks to get them.

Anet can you please add the option of making this easier for us? The option to fix this problem shouldnt be too difficult to add.

There is this 1 certain troll commander in Gunnars Hold, Eternal battlegrounds map who has caused lots of trouble for the past month (and still is going at it) to the entire server.
He pretty much drains entire supplies from keep or towers and wastes them on building rams at random locations which serve absolutely no purpose rather then just trolling.

As far as i know he has gained atleast hundreds of reports and absolutely no action has been made against him. If im even correct then someone has even video taped him and sent it to anet to which he got a reply saying “thats legit” or something like that in similar context.

Anet please tell me what is your policy in this subject and what are we suppose to do if this kind of behaviour is allowed?

He isnt taging up so he would get people to follow him. He is doing it strictly so he could get attention.

He interrupts every upgrade by draining everything from keep or from towers. He destroys siege golems by jumping down with them from somewhere high. He also keeps the supplie count close to zero so we wouldnt be able to protect our keep or towers.

I have only heared rumours about him being video taped and the video being sent to anet where the response wasnt what the filmer had excpected. Thats why i want a response from someone whose working for anet. Thats why i also wrote “If im correct..” hinting to im not sure about this issue.

I realy dont care for minis. They are nothing special nor nothing that you should get hyped over. If you want dat mini so badly then go and enter the competition. Eventhough i still dont see how its the end of the world if you dont get it???

As for legendaries- OP would you have shut up if anet would have announced something like “3000g for each of the winners”?
The only logical reason i see for anet pronoucning that winners will get legendaries is cause it seems like its the only none dull reward comparing to something like gold for example.

To be more excact, i need to know which traits should i use, what sigils and what should i take as my 3rd skill. Got “stand your ground” and “hold the line” as my 2 skills. And ofcourse tome of wrath as my elite.

Now the build im using:

I have full ascended PTV armor combined with traveler runes. Also got ascended staff and GS (also PTV). I suppose its wise to put energy sigil into one of those weapons but am not sure what sigil should i put to the other one.
All my trinkets are exotic knight trinkets combined with exquisite beryl jewels.

Im guessing im fairly strong for going blob vs blob. The only problem is that i have absolutely no damage what traits i should take and this is there main part i need your guys help.

I dont know why on earth is a “very high population” server such as Gandara doing in a silver tier?

Im from GH and we are against FSP and Gandara. Its not bad enough playing against skillful FSP but the Gandara situation is getting out of hand, considering we are playing against them second time in a row. Everyone in GH has strictly given up due to this situation. We have nothing left in WvW. Every camp, tower and keep has gone away from us.

Dont get me wrong, when we went against Gandara, we beat them hard. There arent many skillful people there but we strictly lost cause they outnumber us everywhere and due to this have large cover on all WvW maps. Its even a joke when you see large blobs running around during 2 o clock at night.

So please move Gandara to servers that are also highly populated.

I kinda doubt its meant to be like this that youre practicaly killing everything in less then 10 seconds, even bosses.

The damage you do doesnt scale with your level 35. Youre lvl 35 but you do the same amount of damage as youre in a lvl 80 zone.

Correct, not right in the start since for now megaserver will only be applied in the less populated maps, that exclude initial maps and cities.
First of all, advertise guild in map chat is annoying, a better solution to your 1st issue is just stop advertising in chat and look for the guild section here in the forum and in the forum of your server.

Who knows? New commers can choose based on server name, friends that already plays the game, join the unofficial RP servers, there are so many variables.

Advertise in WvW wont change at all since megaservers won’t be applied there, also advertise in WvW maps is even more annoying.

Yes it is annoying and you do understand that there are tons of people who dont visit GW2 forums, yet alone the recruitment sections?
Lets be fair, im doing a wild guess but in every game, atleast 25% people from the game population visits forums only. Even i come here very rarely and i most certainly dont look at recruitment sections when i was guildless few months ago.

As for the WvW advertisement:

I dont want sympathy. I want a easy peasy and very logical fix to this broken system.

Dungeon selling has allways been normal in GW2 which came from GW1. If you want a legimate reason then this griefing can be done to anyone (example):

“Oh look, we are half way in arah (as a 5 man group), 2 of our friends just left, lets find some random people”

“In comes a random person, merges with a random party and GG to your half way finished arah”.

If youre a dungeon path seller then you have 2 possibilities of getting screwed over- some random person joins with a friend and makes a kick vote against you or a random person comes, removes the party from LFG and merges with some other random party.

This isnt cool especialy if youre a legit seller. Why doesnt party leaders have more rights? Why does it only take 2 kicks to kick the party leader? Whot not 3? Why cant the party leader be the only one who can merge parties? Its so simple to fix.

The problem is that those who wana grief, you cant catch them too cause by the time you start watching names, they have allready dissapeared from your party and sometimes you arent even sure if youre reporting the right guy or just someone whose there to buy a path.

Im just way too amazed that people can actualy fail on those platforms. So far ive done 9 marionette events and only 1 has succeeded. There has allways been a failure on atleast 1 platform. How is this possible?

If youre someone who has played a dungeon, pvp or even participated in boss fights with zergs in normal amounts then handling platforms should be a piece of cake. Why is it so hard? The Champions are easily kiteable, deal no damage. You only have to look out for marionettes skills and nothing else.

Greatest example of failure that i recently saw was that when i entered middle platform, then 5 people around me were downed, i had to [Shadow refuge] and manage to save my platform.

People the marionette event on platforms isnt a brain killer. Its dodge and kite. Nothing too complicated.

Im a big fan of p/p thief, i simply love it and i would gladly want to get myself a legendary pistol but when i took a look at the “Quip”, i had a big let down. I realy despise models that make the weapons/gear look like youre using clown material. Quip seems like a weapon that came straight out of the circus.

My question is that will there be more legendary weapons coming?

In all fairness there are 3 legendary greatswords. THREE! And only ONE of other weapon types which seem very unfair.

So ive put about 150g aside for a pvp thief and im looking for a good wvw pvp build. Atm im leveling as d/p but its only for leveling. For some reason when browsing youtube, then ive only noticed d/d being good at pvp.

Anyway can i get a opinion on this guys build and does anyone know a good pvp d/p build meant for wvw for comparison to this one?

So when i reach lvl 80 then what should i do to get money into my pockets? I know crafting is possible and so is making money off the trade exchange.
