As in
If a random group of people win 10 consecutive matches, they get bumped against pre-made team. If they lose, they get shuffled.

Team Arenas would just consist of pre-made groups. For the competitive snowball fighting.

If you bothered to read my post carefully and exercise some reading comprehension skills, at no point did I say that [SWAT] transferred for leagues. I’m positive HOD will provide a good community for them to continue playing WvW on, but I was speaking more towards the server as a whole.

You mean the week when Kaineng began losing all their players and dropped to being a low population server? It is possible to drop in rankings when your Glicko score does not change, considering some servers, you know, actually put forth the effort towards entering the league they should be in.

Again, I refer back to my original post. Maybe you have a low overall population, but you still have far more people that KN, ET, and FC. You even admit that most of your population does WvW, so your WvW population is already stacked compared to the rest of Bronze League.

As for the rest, is it our fault Kaineng lost population during that matchup? No, the fact is we beat them a week before leagues where they previously beat us, two weeks before leagues. Which to us was an accomplishment considering that Ebay smacked us around. I would hardly call that “tanking”. Glicko aside, we still gained rating since we were leeching off Ebay but it wasn’t enough to get into Silver since NSP took it.

And I was merely clarifying what the OP meant when he said that we had a low population. It’s low because of low PvE but in terms of WvW we do fair off a bit better. Because of this we have a little less fairweather player base, a relatively moderate size I would say. So if there was a queue for EB in primetime it would only last for at most 30-45m, and that is rare.

And last of all, I couldn’t possibly leave a posting without some sort of light insult. I’m sure most of the people here have seen far more immature and offensive postings than the “Drop a dolyak on your face” comment.

P.S. sorry ahstanford for derailing your thread a bit, just wanted to clarify some things for people.

How is it possible to tank when our ranking did not change at all, also NSP took the last spot in Silver so it would’ve been impossible to get up a rank anyways since we were being smashed by Ebay. We also beat Kaining that week where as in the previous week they beat us.

HoD did tank and for the most part admits it, not being ashamed of not wanting to fight in silver league. NSP started to tank for a couple days of their last pre-season match and it was causing server drama so they turned it around and player hard for 5 days to ensure they were in silver.

I wish people would look at facts instead of going on what other people have said.

IF you bother to look at our score income during the week where we were considered “Tanking”, you would notice that our score income was pretty consistent and stayed above Kaineng most of the time.

Now when NSP attempted to tank and admitted that did so, you can see a definite score income drop during the time they did. That is what a tanking attempt would look like. Now NSP decided to go ahead and move forward to Silver. Although I wouldn’t say they “fought hard” to get into Silver since it was a relatively easy match up for them.

Consider that our score income was relatively consistent throughout that match up, and we beat Kaineng which we had lost to in the match up the week before.

We wouldn’t say the same thing because IoJ and NSP didn’t tank.

Even though NSP and IoJ were definitely stronger than HoD. We haven’t been able to beat NSP yet for a couple months now. But with the season bursting our WvW community to life and more people came out to play. We can’t wait to fight NSP and IoJ.

And I wouldn’t call getting stomped by Ebay tanking. I would call it being stomped by Ebay.

Funny you show that vid I admit it is pretty sad. But we also have a decent bit of ppl completely new to pvp, second that was a lvl like 20 ranger in the group of 3 so really it was a 2v2. I’d like to take this time to recognize all the forum warriors here on the boards. All of you have done such a wonderful job in fighting for what you believe to the right way. With that being said, I would like to start nominations for our forum warrior of the year.

I’d like to nominate Jscull from PAXA, for always fighting to bring more small man teams and fighting to WvW, no matter how much opposition he got from zergling forum trolls. He fought those trolls all day.

Since they took out town cloths, I can’t RP in WvW anymore. I can’t tell Mad King Jokes and hold a banquet. No more will I hold public executions. How are people suppose to enjoy my roasted pig? This change is absolutely devastating.

When I and a few other people went to wipe those trebs we found that they had ac’s set up aswell and were basically killed before we could even get close enough to do any damage…

HoD, your server is gonna fall apart from the look of things when you move into silver. It happened to NSP. Silver league tore them right in half. Either from [MU] getting frustrated with us lower tier people and leaving, or from lower tiers leaving to dodge the large zergs in silver. Its gonna happen.

Fall apart? Maybe not. And most of the guilds that are still here on HoD have been here since the T1 fall, besides a couple transfer guilds which to my count was maybe 2-3? Not sure.

HoD doesn’t zerg.

Why are these threads being made? Why would I care? Who are you? What is this? Is this improving WvW mechanics? Does this affect the way the game is being played?

I will only speak and want to discuss only about NA silver league on this topic.

Then you should definitely take this topic to a thread that cares.

I run around with my guild group with about 5-8 people usually. We cause major havoc behind enemy lines. Cutting off supply, papering towers. Increasing supply required for siege would just make it way harder for my small group. It will also just promote zerging because more people would be required to build siege.

Also, defending towers against enemy zergs is not that difficult. Smart siege placement and priority targeting can stop entire zergs. Players are useless if they don’t have any siege or supply to take a tower, they will leave. Which is what you want them to do. If it is a prolonged siege then that gives you time to gain reinforcements. There have been many times where I was able to fend off zergs solo because I was smart about what to hit, or what to build.

The only thing that makes defending “boring” as it is now is because you can’t leave the tower empty unless you want to risk a zerg just rolling right on through.

And hell no I don’t want a limited amount of siege I can put in a tower. There is already the 1k radius 5 siege limit. There is nothing more satisfying to me then getting more siege in the tower then you can put in stonemist.

Also, getting siege up in supply camps is very important to me as evident in this picture.

Don’t try to reason with them, those extra 60 pugs are meaningless, of course 60 pugs in EB don’t do anything by VLK’s standard, VLK is the force driving this whole HoD win forward, because you know VLK is doing all the coordinating, those 60 man zerg pugs in EB are uncoordinated and don’t do anything else. On top of that those Rawr and etc pugs in our borderland and extra numbers are just uncoordinated pugs as well, VLK is doing all the work for their server and thus they have a right to feel that the other server is so bad and uncoordinated.

For Wintersday, it would be wonderful if WvW would be decorated to the theme. They kind of did a little to the citadel but it would be fun if all of EB was decorated. Have the guards carry candy cane weapons. Or even as far as making gingerbread walls.

I heard they queue 4 maps 24/7 because they’ve been hiding their forces to purposely tank and dominate bronze league.

This will be changed where you can go to the Obsidian Sanctum directly from the WvW UI. Also if you wait long for a queue you might as well WvW a little bit before going straight to the JP.

Also there is a strong chance people will be camping the JP. Bring friends.

You could also buy 50 ranks with 100(?) Laurels and all those badges you got in achieve chest. Ha…ha…
