More skins, More Fashion Items, More Hairstyles.. No thank you.
MORE CONTENT!
I mean, they’re not mutually exclusive…
Anyway, absolutely co-signing for more varied hairstyles. Where is my curly hair?
This is actually why I don’t have a charr. Stretchy textures, ill fits, etc. would bug me to no end. i’m into Fashion Wars 2 as well, and the charr are just not competitors atm. I mean, it’s understandable, because their anatomy is unique (same for the asura to a lesser extent), but maybe when we get a charr-centric LS or xpac they’ll be able to focus more on it. The royal guard armour was really, really nice on charrs !
They’re a little different from how they looked in Guild Wars, but I don’t have a problem with it. They’re NOT human. They resemble humans, but I like that they are somewhat different. The women are also a bit different than the human women. All norn seem to be a little more top heavy, broad shoulders, broad and deep chests, with narrow hips. The only thing that bothers me is the lack of body types for the women. They’re all the same with different amounts of bulk, whereas the humans have different waist and bust combinations, in addition to bulk.
Also their gait feels too slow.
Actually, this is another thing that bugs me. I get that they are taller so it makes sense that they look slower and they can’t have races like norn and char moving faster than everybody else because of their anatomy. At least maybe make their strides longer so it doesn’t feel like you’re running through molasses

Do people complain about dungeons exclusively having gigantic swaths of the main story? Dungeon stories are far, far more relevant than what the raid story seems to be. They’ve already been setting up the White Mantle in the open world and human personal stories. The raid really seems like an aside that will possibly double as an additional prelude. Nevermind that the LS3 content does not seem like it is going to be exclusively White Mantle related (it looks like we will be revisiting ley lines as a plot element as well) and it will continue to arc into other areas, up to and including an expansion.
Just bring back lockpicks. Put a vendor somewhere sells them, and also maybe exchanged keys for them.
Then again, it’d probably be a BL item
Same problem however. I could easily farm AB for keys, convert to lockpicks, then go to VB and open up a bunch of cargos without ever touching an event there.
ahh, true :/

The Gift of Maguuma is weighed a little less in the crafting of a HoT legendary. The Gift of Insights is more comparable to the Gift of Exploration. It requires you to max out the four mastery lines.
In any case, for the amount of work involved in world map completion to get the Gift of Exploration, you DO get two of them, so it’s sort of moot.
Yeah, it’s his physical manifestation (I guess other than being the jungle that takes up like 30% of the world), but it can’t be permanently killed because his power is his mind, which we DO kill, and so canonically, the Mordremouth is also dead.
Zones would be a lot less dynamic if the story events all stopped once you beat the story (also, they’re public, not personal instances)
Ohhh my god, yes @ the broom becoming a glider. yeeesssss
idk, i randomly lost the ability to play the game in 1920×080, so maybe there was an update or something on my computer that affected what the game gets to do
Or will there at least be an alternative method of obtaining them?
Ranged spear + better shouts, add “chants”, and “echoes”… ¬_¬
Make it happen, Anet
Please use the “male” versions of the armour. Boob cups on armour already look ridiculous on their own. They look even more ridiculous on anatomy that can’t even pretend to fill them anyway.
The only major change that I would really like is an option to revert a transmuted item to its original state without cost.
To be honest, there is a terrible lack of curly styles across the board.
With the action camera and just ten skills it should be pretty easy to map. idk if there are mods that allow this or not.
I do remember NCSoft talking about some deal with PlayStation awhile back, but nothing came from it. GW2 is streamlined enough for console/controllers, I think.
The fuzzy boots are strange. It should have been some sort of sandal type footwear (WITHOUT A HEEL)
I kind of wish there was an option to reset an item’s transmutation status or at least return it to default without using a charge
Same thing as Obsidian armour, and other skins, in Guild Wars. It’s about prestige and unique looks (and in GW2, additional functionality). Guild Wars series isn’t about gear stats.
I think I read somewhere this was a bug, and that it should have been Soul Bind on equip. This might not be true, I would use the support link at the top and file it down as a bug or look through the bug section of the forums for additional info
Choosing the Select Stats on items that allow it (Exotic or lower) always soulbinds, I thought.
At the very least all of the central dragon champions should get revamped (and it looks like they will). However, ones like Shadow Behemoth desperately need at least minor updates. SB is a joke, even for a newbie zone.
Avatar of Melandru
They’re slowly working through the Dervish avatars. I wouldn’t be surprised if Melandru pops up sooner than later. I mean it’s just Melandru and Grenth left.
Actually, I wish they’d release all the old Guild Wars costumes. They’ve done a couple so far. A lot of them were really great, particularly the gods-themed costumes. Only problem I have is that the Dervish Lyssa form they recently released is very similar to the Vision of Lyssa in Guild Wars so if they ever decide to re-release the GW1 gods’ costumes they might leave it out.

I like outfits (wish they had toggles for shoulders and gloves tho), but I am not happy with so many of them (along with gemstore gliders and weapons) being released while there are many weapon and armour skins that were removed from the base game and they’re just sitting on them. I liked that they said they wouldn’t sell armour skins anymore, but I don’t like that this meant that they were going to almost stop adding armour skins to the game altogether.
First five should have been a free QoL update. Then the upgrades, up to 10? maybe more, at the current price.
I like to imagine a very mobile, dps Duelist spec for Mesmer, with mainhand pistol. We have two mainhand weapons and I think pistol would be perrrfect.
Um…what? In hotkey settings the exact same targeting functions for enemies are duplicated for targeting allies (target nearest, cycle forward, backward, etc.). You just have to set them.
Granted, I think that included NPCs as well. What the game actually needs is click filters, the ability to disable targeting of certain things in and out of combat, etc.
Thanks, guys. =)
Ranger
“In the future, we’ll continue to explore ways to improve on the ranger’s ties to both their pets and nature.”I can only hold to hope that this means they actually consider finally offering the option of severing the ranger’s ties to their pets, and instead offering a more nature-oriented playstyle.
Other than pet AI actually being fixed, offering a wide range of skins for the various species, as well as making a larger selection of species able to be tamed, that is really the only change to the ranger that I desire as I consider that option as being an immense improvement to the current ranger > pet/nature relationship.
I don’t think pets should be nixed, I think the pet system needs to be adjusted. Pets have abilities that make no sense, or don’t make use of the pets’ specific stat spreads (like condition inflicting abilities, with like…400 condi dmg stat), the A.I., etc.
I do agree that some more skins should be available, if not different species (like when they added the reef drake). Some minor things like retaining names (PLS) and making pets like the black wolf not look like it is made of a plastic tarp would also be appreciated.
So, I am gathering the materials to craft a tenebrous pistol. I crafted the insignia, am just one short of the crystals, etc. However, I bought the weapon on the wrong character, as I did not realise that they were SOULbound. My question is, if I transmute another exotic pistol, will it also count as the material or am I going to have to do a few more missions to buy another?
recipes for Grenth and Dwayna back items
He is strangely, and considerably, more difficult than the Tizlak path. I was very confused when I chose to defend the village and came upon him, as I had only encountered him prior in Dragon’s Stand.
I was running around on my ranger earlier with a short bow and I was thinking about skills that have additional effects when used while flanking or behind an enemy. There should be an indicator on your currently targeting mob that shows their heading. With certain enemies in this game, I have seen unique targeting rings and I think something similar should be implemented for other mobs (only on the ones you currently have targeted). Just a maybe simple to add QoL change. example attached (i did not come up with the image).
I love the lunatic guard outfit!
Sword doesn’t look very sharp but otherwise everything seems thematic. Likely 7 or 8 out of 10.
The second to last one is with blacklight and golden sheen. The helmet on my guardian clashes too much with his luminescent armor while my charr warrior looks good…but the color scheme is quite safe and conservative. For my asura druid I gave her a witchy look with mistwalker coat and the witch hat and my asura elementalist has an enameled solitude and crushed bone color scheme since enameled solitude is the closest thing I can get to the traditional dark blue baseball cap color. I have shadow blue too but it’s too dark so something in between those would be ideal.
I just like my Flash reference too much on my thief but switches to Viper’s set with a dragon helmet occasionally with a shadow green, algae, and shadow abyss color scheme, sometimes swapping out the dragon hat for the gas mask.
Your Charr looks like adult Simba, and that is awesome. Also, your Asura are super cool!
attached is my main
Guild Wars, Factions, Nightfall, Eye of the North, Guild Wars 2, and Heart of Thorns are all obviously cut content from Guild Wars 3 doled out piecemeal to siphon our wallets. Nice try, ArenaNet.
Ohdearohdearohdear all. The. Yes.
But wouldn’t that mess up the JP’s?
Well, you can’t glide UP. The only impact I can really think of is being able to recover more easily if you fall in certain puzzles.
As long as they have an option to disable the visuals for other players. All the giant wings and auras and particle effects coating characters is mega cluttersome, or as Anet might say, “noisy”.
look gross. Why couldn’t they grow into flowers or something…
Yeah, little butterflies, or something would be neat, but I HATE the dodge effect on thieves. It feels too large, out of place, and wonky. Maybe because I associate it with the Blur effect. Idk. If it has a similar visual effect as the one when you exit stealth, I think it would be better, personally. The revenant’s looks cool though

No, Salamander I dont agree; a bit more it is necessary that just see the utilities. We need far much more than that: where is our stability – we get cc’d so easy, where are our elite skills -we have none, where is our mobility, why do we have such high casting times, what is the point of these pitiful minions, where are our merged traits (why are they so poor), why do we keep being nerfed at every step. Do you see a pattern? Has ANET EVER LISTENED TO THE NECROMANCER FORUM? Have they ever changed/reverted/buffed a skill at our request? I for one, don’t see the point of a forum being there. Sorry folks but this is the truth.
You dont believe me? Read someone else’s opinion: http://www.tentonhammer.com/feature/guild-wars-2-are-necromancers-really-so-bad#disqus_thread
The original design behind Death Shroud was to have the necromancer rewind back in time once activated. It was dropped early on due to ArenaNet stating players found it too confusing, but was later implemented with Spectral Walk.
hahahahahahahah……… ._.
Kind of creepy if the sylvari imprinted from Ronan’s dead family, but it would explain a bit. I wish there were more concrete answers about the sylvari
The gear and combat system in Guild Wars 2 is way too streamlined and simplified for that to work without redoing a lot of content. Guild Wars had armour v. just about everything along with profession-specific ratings (rangers having much more resistance against elemental damage, for example), with enemies having resistances or immunities and weaknesses to certain elements, skills that triggered with specific elemental damage, etc.
With weapon skills being standardised and the game revolving around physical and condition damages, I think the work involved would probably ruin the game or change it far too drastically. I mean stuff like the elementalist would be interesting, if not imbalanced, but I can’t see it working without overhauling it to the point where it isn’t GW2.
It’s not directly in the gemstore and as far as I know it never has been. It’s one of the things you can get from a Black Lion chest and it’s in the 3rd year Birthday gift. Why it’s not in there is probably because they think they will make more money with key sales than direct sales.
I believe that the biggest reason why it is not there is because large and on-demand quantities of this item would trivialise exploration, content gates, and travel costs.
With Anet’s ideas about visibility in PvP, I don’t think they would enable them, even if they got their own slot, and tbh, I think that’s okay.
I’m not sure why this isn’t already part of the display. There was a little bubble they used in Guild Wars that showed ping and fps when moused over. It also changed from green to yellow to red as a quick indicator. You can already view the info at any time by pushing F11, so it’s strange that the option to put it on your UI isn’t available (unless it is?) and that we have to rely on a third party to do so.
Please split PvP and PvE skills.
in PvE, maybe Ranger. Maybe Warrior…otherwise, no. The eSpecs are head and shoulders above most vanilla spec combos, or they give access to one or two things that are worth trading anything else (alacrity).
This would go great with a build/gear set save function.
Revenant’s traited rez inverts all damage received into healing. Mesmers (or any other source of quickness) can speed up rezzing. It could have been a few things.
Also, since you said it raised them without filling the bar, they might have rallied. There is a bug with transferred conditions where they count kills for the ORIGINAL source of the conditions, so anybody killed with the transferred conditions will actually rally their own teammates.
