I would love this change if they made It so you could change Ascended Amours stats when out of combat (like a legendary), then I would only need one set of armour.

The only simple solution to this Is unbind all legendaries, that way people can sell their duplicates and bind the ones they want.

I’m one of those people who enjoy the healer role, I always have and always will. I just don’t think It could work currently in the game, no matter how much you can heal because by investing in Healing, you aren’t doing damage which is what GW2 is all about at the moment.

Anet always said “Play how you want to play”, since launch I haven’t been able to and have been stuck In a damage role. I’ve gone past caring and just enjoy the game :P

I’m not going to lie, I love the healer role. I always have and always will but I do have my reservations about this trait. Like people have mentioned, a dedicated healer is not needed In PvE (currently, you never know if new mechanics will change that). Anet themselves said, they do not want a healer.

Am I excited for this trait? Yeah I am, It appeals to me but do I think It’s going to change the meta? No, not by It’s self which makes It unusable in any PvE situation.

I’ve recently been working on ‘The Minstrel’, I’m not sure why but I do really like It (even If It doesn’t have footsteps). I’d love to use It In WvW but I’m unsure of a good build that involves the focus, I’m usually using S/D.

I’m normally with some friends or solo roaming.

The Guild I’m In has recently started going In Wv3, five of us normally roam together, take supply camps and have fun. My problem Is that I’m not sure what profession would be best for me to use In our group.
We have 2x Ele’s; D/D & S/D, 1x Guard and 1x Warrior. I have three level 80 professions, they are Mesmer, Ele and Guardian. My Ele Is my PvE “main” so I’d rather use one of the other two so that I can log on them and their all geared up and ready (rather than reset traits and re-gear, like I’d have to do on my Ele)

I was thinking since we don’t have one that maybe Mesmer would be a good Idea. I enjoy the profession and It would allow me to use the character more often. I wouldn’t know a good small roaming build to use though.

If anyone Is willing to give advice, It would be much appreciated.

I’ve been trying to find a main profession since October, since I normally run support/healer in any other MMO, I though I’d give Guardian a go and I loved it.

I run Dungeons and Wv3 and was hoping some one could help me with what is the best support build to run (so I don’t have to buy multiple armors/trinkets).
I’ve got enough laurels/commendations for full ascended (apart from back piece).

I thought maybe something like 0 0 30 30 10 but I’m not sure on gear.

I know I’m going to have to buy two sets :/ Berserk for Pve and maybe Clerics/Knights Wv3?

Now I know in PvE DPS is pretty much king. That is why I’m going to be running 30/10/0/0/30, I don’t enjoy it as much but it gets the job done.

I’m wondering if my PvP build is Viable in Wv3? (Though I also like the idea of using Wells in Wv3)

Good for the OP, if he can afford it then why not.
I’m not fortunate enough to have that kind of spare cash but if I did, I’d spend it how ever I like because it’s my money.

I will admit, I wish I could afford to do the same (no matter how sad you think that makes me), my choice of hobby is just that, my choice.

I’ve been squirreling away gold since day 1 and I’m still no closer (time restraints).

I’m getting the same thing :/ Only happens at around 7pm GMT up to around 11pm. Makes the game unplayable, whenever I use a skill it either activates 5 seconds later or the icon just flashes and it boots me to Character Select screen.

I am completely fine during the day, 100% lag free. After 7PM GMT I get unplayable lag where my Skill bar will flash, everyone will run in the spot and then I get booted to the Char screen.
It renders the game unplayable, and forces me to log off.

I was looking for some kind of support build as nearly everyone runs full DPS.
Though I don’t want to be throwing spit balls at the enemies.

I was wondering if anyone could perhaps give me some advice on what a good build would be for Dungeon runs?

level which one really depend what is your purpose. I got ele, mesmer, nerco, guardian, ranger and 2 warrior.

mostly guardian and warrior its really good and welcome for dungeon run..
specially run Fotm guardian its so helpful….

nerco, mesmer mostly its not very popular for dungeon. but so powerful on WvW or PvP..

ele i think its both.

thief its not the hardest to level up.. mesmer its.

I wouldn’t say Mesmer isn’t popular for dungeons, I would say it is one of the most popular, behind warrior.

I left my Mesmer for awhile after the confusion nerf but I miss it too much.

Full Rabid set with x6 Undead
Full Berserk set with x6 Ruby Orbs

Rabid Accessories (with Crest of the Rabid)
Berserk Accessories (with ruby orbs)

Rabid Staff, Torch and Scepter
Berserk Great sword, Sword and Focus

I really want/need a top notch Wv3 build that helps a zerg/medium sized group and will net me bags (collecting badges for another character).

Can I recycle anything I have and buy a few new things or will I have to buy a whole new set.

So, I finally decided that after having two level 80 light classes (Ele&Mes) that I would level a heavy.
It will mainly be for Wv3, maybe some dungeons although I normally run them on my Mesmer.

I’m finding it really hard to decide. I thought after playing ‘casters’ that guardian would be easier for me to adjust to heavy’s (being that it has some caster like aspects).
Although Warriors are so popular for Dungeons and always wanted.

Which would bring the most to a small or medium sized group in Wv3 and on occasion a Zerg?

I have the gold and laurels to be able to gear them in ascended and exotic.

As the title says I’m looking for a friendly social guild, I don’t want to feel like just another number.
I’ve been playing GW2 since September last year. Since then I’ve done everything by myself or joined randoms (Dungeons or WvW Zergs) and it’s kind of a lonely existence.
I’m pretty knowledgeable (I have two level 80’s in exotics) but I still have a lot to learn.

I’m a pretty nervous and quiet person IRL and as such I am In-game(always afraid to say something wrong), but once I’ve got to know someone I’m really sociable and easy going and I have been told I have a good sense of humor.

I’m online everyday (unless something comes up), though I will be AFK at times to look after my newborn daughter.
I love Wv3, Dungeons, General PvE and SPvP.

I already have a 80 Mes and Ele.

I think I’m currently bored with my current 80’s and looking for a new one but I can’t decide which profession is going to work well on WvWvW.
Sure a Thief can roam but I’m not sure what they bring to a Zerg.

Sometimes I think I should have a Heavy but Warrior just doesn’t seem good for much outside of PvE.

I’ve just gone back to using Necro for hot joins and I can’t seem to think of a build.
AOE is pretty important for tagging, so I’m guessing staff with greater marks and wells.

I want to be able to handle my self though If I get stuck in a 1v1 situation.

I miss the leveling experience, I’ve currently got two level 80’s (mes&ele).
I really want to try and level as much as I can using WvW only.
I’ve already leveled using Dungeons, General PvE and Crafting, I want to try something different.

I’ve never done this before, I’ve not even played WvW on an up leveled character before, I’ve always waited until I hit 80.
Now I want to dive straight in and start leveling.

My only question -
What would be the easiest/quickest profession to do this with?

I thought it was back stab or go home, boy I was wrong. Watching 25 stacks of bleed eat away at your opponent whilst they are trying to swing at you, completely ignoring the fact they are slowly (rather fast actually) dying is hilarious.

Watching 100 % of your condition-based DPS disappear because you can only apply an intensity-stacking condition that is removed by a single condition-removal skill … not so hilarious.

But I’m not here to rain on your parade. Condition-based thief is a lot of fun, despite its weaknesses. I’d really like to see a way to apply burning, etc, but you can certainly be effective with pure bleed output.

you can put out constant bleeds , its a never ending suply of DB’s and dodges

What I’m trying to say is that I’m having fun and glad to realize there is more to Thief than just backstab.

I’m not normally 1v1. I help try and keep them off the capture point and just cause annoyance, all I do is apply bleeds (and cripples) non stop and keep the pressure on, whilst everyone else is bursting them down.

I’ll be completely honest, I hardly ever gave Thief a chance, scratch that… I never gave Thief a chance.

Having near infinite energy thanks to Superior energy, allowing you to drop Caltrops all over the place, mix that with death blossom, amazing.

I now need to 80, ready of WvW

First of all I do not want to buy anymore slots, I’m happy with 5 characters.

I have
80 Ele, (My first 80 that I no longer use, she lives in Cursed Shore for event tagging)
80 Mes (My main for PvE/Dungeons did use her for WvW but not anymore since confusion nerf)
2 Thief (Mainly for Spvp but I’m thinking of getting to 80 to be my WvW main)
31 Ranger (First ever character, not really interested anymore)

I’m not sure what to be my last profession (not really interested in warrior), I was a HUGE WvW (until confusion nerf) fan so I was thinking maybe Necro or Engi or even Guardian.

I loved this build, it was so much fun but now I’m not sure what to do with it.
I used this build for WvW and I use full berserk for PvE/Dungeons.

I have full rabid armor, weapons and accessories. Traits were 20-0-0-20-30
Is there anything I can do with this set anymore or should I just salvage it.

Not sure what build to use for WvW anymore, might have to switch to thief.

Let me just say that Mesmer is my all time favorite.

Lately I’ve really been enjoying WvW, usually I am an avid dungeon runner. I haven’t got around to having a build for Wvw so I’ve been using my full zerker dungeon build.

I just hit 80 today but I’m still wearing level 70 rares/exotics, unfortunately I do not have enough gold to upgrade to level 80 Exotics but I do have a ton of Karma.

My build at the moment focuses on Power, Precision, Crit Damage and I run 20-20-0-20-10.
I use GS and Sword/Focus. From what I gather there isn’t a Karma Armour with P-P-C so what would be the next best thing?

I really enjoy Staff but haven’t been able to find a good build that fits well, I also enjoy S/S or S/P, I wouldn’t mind having to change my build and focus more on condition damage.

I just need a decent build that would work well with Karma armor until I am able to save up enough CoF tokens.

I’d actually like to thank you for letting me know about this spot, I made around 3g in 20-25mins, got some dyes and a couple of rares.

It sounds to me like Thief, movement speed seems to really matter to you and Thief is more mobile than Mesmer for that much. I have been in 100’s of dungeon runs and always come across a thief or two and they can be a decent asset if they aren’t face down in the dirt all the time.
True, Mesmer is a huge asset in Dungeons and/or fractals but that doesn’t mean Thief isn’t good either, it will be rare if you get refused entry for being a Thief.

Warrior seems like a safe bet (Nice simple compared to Ele and if I feel like something complicated I always have my ele).

I love the support that Mesmer brings and how people rely on you (I’m normally a support class buffer/healer), it seems their utilities are very support oriented. Soloing Isn’t a problem since (unless I fall in love with the class more than ele) it will only be used for Fractals and Dungeons.

Then again.. Guardian seems to blend the two together well.

I’m not sure why but I really enjoy Dungeons (I could run them all day).
I’ve been running them on my 80 Ele but I realise that Warrior, Guardian and Mesmer are the most wanted for Dungeons. I don’t have a group to run with so I’m usually with randoms.

I love all three of them, I can’t decide :/

The MF is a MASSIVE gamble, one that has never payed off for me no matter how much gold i dump into it. I find it hard to muster the energy to earn the gold back but that is my problem.

You’re more likely to poop out a golden nugget.
