Hello Hexagon!
I run a guild where we place community at the heart, consisting of mature casual & semi-hardcore players. We strive to create the most enjoyable experience we can for each other in the game. Rather than trying to be #1 in SPvP, the fastest dungeon runners, or the largest organized zerg in WvW.
We have a very relaxed atmosphere, with a 0 tolerance for any level of drama & promote diversity, equality & dignity. That being said, we do like to playfully antagonize each other in this friendly environment without overstepping personal boundaries
If you’re interested in knowing more, you can pay us a visit on our website & contact us.
P.S. We’re hosted on the Far Shiverpeaks server.
Edit as of 15/7/2013
We have now actually made an alliance with another guild to do guild missions regularly with. Given the level of organization required, we will no longer be able to support individual players or other guilds at this time.
Hello everyone. I would like to extend an invite to a few players to increase the number of players that are able to participate in our Guild Missions. This is mainly directed at smaller guilds who want to do guild missions, but do not yet have them unlocked.
We ourselves are a small close-knit community of 64 members. And can currently complete all missions & tier 2 bounty missions without assistance from outside guilds & players. So this is something purely to help out other players who are looking to do missions such as Guild Challenges & Puzzles until they manage to unlock it themselves.
We do missions every weekend, both Saturday & Sunday at 19:00 British time (20:00 CET/CEST). Sunday is our main day for these missions as this is the first day after reset & we tend to do missions with the goal of completing them for the merits. Saturday’s are considered our catch up day, in-case there were some missions that we were not able to do on the Sunday.
The process is simple, you contact myself or an officer of our guild, we will send you an invite & set you as a guest, you then do the missions with us & leave/get kicked after the missions are over.
It is also worthy to note that we are on the EU Server Far Shiverpeaks. So unfortunately US players are not able to join us on this. But I extend an open welcome to players of any EU Server to participate with us.
Requirement that I will make clear, is that players show the utmost respect for others. We are a community of players aged 18+, & will not tolerate players being childish, rude, creating drama or otherwise being socially unacceptable. That being said, we enjoy a laugh, giggle & are fairly laid-back in the way we complete guild missions. It will also be required that players interested use TS when participating in a mission. You do not have to talk, but you need to be able to listen to what is being said for the sake of organization.
You can message or mail me in-game @ Baamoink.4281. I will contact players 15-30 minutes prior to when we’re due to start Guild Missions & arrange the guest invites.

Hello RSweeney,
Mantle Assasins (there’s a back-story to the misspelling) is a small European international Guild Wars 2 Community based on Far Shiverpeaks EU. We consist of a mature & level headed player-base (18+) who have similar goals within the Guild Wars 2 Universe.
We originally formed in Guild Wars 1 in 2005 & have been playing underneath our MA tag ever since. The misspelling is done purposefully with Assasins (Should be Assassins), which comes down to a typo 7 years ago when we originally formed. We set up a community poll prior to the release of GW2 to see if the community wanted to mend the typo. The end result was the majority being in favour of us keeping the typo, as they classed it as part of our heritage, & people felt it played a big part towards the many great experiences we had created for each other over the years. We dabble in all things PvX, varying from PvE, PvP, WvW & self-made Guild Events. We also offer our own Website, Forums, TeamSpeak3 Server & a Minecraft Server (for the Creative among us!).
The [MA] Way:-
Something that we started back in the early days of Guild Wars 1, was what we dubbed “The [MA] Way”. To sum this up in a meaning, within MA we do not aim to be #1 in PvP, WvW or Dungeons, we aim to create the best experience we can in a laid-back atmosphere & have a laugh while we’re at it. The team gets wiped? We just laugh in the face of team wipes, get back up & jump right back in without all the aggro & rage you get from a lot of other guilds out there! Although don’t get the wrong idea, we’re very good working together as a community, but without the tension of being criticized if you or we muck up
If you’re interested, please send a PM or submit an application on our website

Guild Name: Mantle Assasins [MA]
Server: FarShiverpeaks [EU]
Formed: 9th November 2005 in Guild Wars 1
Website: www.mantleassasins.com
Spoken Language: English

About the Guild:
Mantle Assasins (misspelled on purpose) is a small European Guild Wars 2 Community. We consist of a stable and loyal player-base of adults aged 18+ who have similar goals within the Guild Wars 2 Universe. Originally we formed in Guild Wars 1 in 2005, and a number of those who joined us in Guild Wars 1 continue to be a part of the community in GW2, helping to maintain a solid community that has stood the test of time.
At the moment, we’re primarily a PvE guild, participating in Fractals frequently and dungeons now and again. We also approach raid content in 2 ways. We will run training raids once or twice a week, which are open to all in the community and gives those with less experience in raids the opportunity to get involved and learn the mechanics. And also the more experienced raiders a chance to try a new profession or build they might not be so familiar with.
We then have a smaller more organised group within the guild which is run by 2-3 raid leaders at any one time which we refer to as our ‘Raid Roster’. This group consists of more experienced raiders who are familiar with each raid boss, and have the sole purpose of completing as many raid bosses each week as they can. Members can get into that group by attending training raids and proving their ability and knowledge to the raid leaders.
We will also dabble in SPvP occasionally, and seldom involve ourselves in WvW.
The [MA] Way:
Something that we started back in the early days of Guild Wars 1, was what we dubbed “The MA Way”. To sum this up into an understandable concept – within MA we do not aim to be #1 in PvP, WvW or Dungeons, our main goal is to create the best experience we can in a laid back atmosphere and have a laugh while we’re at it. The team gets wiped? We just laugh in the face of team wipes, get back up and jump right back in without all the aggro & rage you get from a lot of other guilds out there! Although don’t get the wrong idea, we’re very good working together as a community, but without the tension of being criticised if you or we muck up
Recruitment:
We do not recruit heavily, allowing time for new members to settle in and get to know the members before we recruit more. This also benefits those who are already in the guild as it gives us the time we need to get to know our new members well before bringing in any new faces and getting to know them. This system has served us well, giving everyone a chance to know everyone, and generally on a first name basis! To make an application, simply head over to the “Apply Here” section of our website to get started! Applications are handled by the Officers & Leader of the Guild.
Requirements:
- Applicants are to be aged 18 or above
- Own Heart of Thorns
- We are a 100% rep community, with the exception of Guild Banks
- Players are to make an application when looking to join our ranks
- All new recruits have a sit down and chat session with an Officer or the Leader of the Guild to discuss yours and our expectations, and whether we’re a good fit for one another.
- It is preferable that our members have TeamSpeak installed and are willing to use it, we use TeamSpeak to socialise in general, not just for when we’re doing events.
- We have several WhatsApp groups that we use for members to maintain fluid contact with one another outside of the game, the use of our WhatsApp groups is mandatory to provide the best possible chance of integrating into our community.

We are still looking for fresh applicants who are laid-back, enjoy a giggle, are very social, & of course aged 20+
If you’re looking for a guild on the Far Shiverpeaks server, I recommend checking out www.farshiverpeaks.com
Great place to look if you’re after a guild on there. Also good to integrate yourself into the WvW Community too if you’re after organized WvW play on our server
We want Cantha back!
Pah, man up the bunch of you :P don’t leave yourselves in a position where the karka will do that to you. Observe your surroundings!
Pretty disappointed with all the crap. Crab toss is bullkitten and they even made the mistake to make an achievement with title so we are forced to play it.
You’re not forced to play it for the achievement, nobody has you at gun point -_-
Still suffering with this problem.
I hate both of you!!
Haha, grats!
What the guy above said. Even using a macro that makes you do anymore than 1 action is a violation of the user agreement.
I don’t see GW2 as a game that needs 3rd party mods to be a great game though.
I have the greatest guild for you! It’s called PuG, also known as Pick up Group. They require no commitment, teamspeak, & have little to retaliate with if you go afk for 30 minutes during a dungeon run!
Enjoy
I’m also suffering with this issue on several of my characters that are logged in Heart of the Mists & Lion’s Arch. Lag is incredibly high & my connection keeps dropping. Although when I log onto my character that is in Timberline Falls, I get no lag at all & my latency is very smooth.
Level 15 is a low level for a character, & you can regain that fairly easily. It depends on whether you’re willing to spend time leveling up those characters again, or would much prefer to spend the gems to get a server transfer. Highly populated servers cost 1,800 gems to transfer to! That’s a lot of gold/money.
Although it is not my decision to make, if you want to save yourself time/money/farming, then I would delete your current characters & shift server for free. Make sure you do a bit of research e.g. find a guild before transferring or deleting your characters though!
Ah yeah! I forgot about the spam protections for new accounts. I think that’s just while they clear all the payments, & confirm you’re not a gold seller/bot.
But moving on! As to not rush you, it’s best you get a few PM’s & shows of interest from a variety of guilds to give you options. But if you’re interested & want to ask a few questions, you can message me on our website, click on contact us , or submit an application .
Sent you a PM a little while ago, contact me if there’s anything that you would like to discuss further
Afternoon Tom, just to clarify on the server transfer.
GW2Wiki: “The transfer fee is only charged if you have characters on your account; in other words, if your account has no characters or you delete all existing characters first, you will be prompted to select a new home world after creating a new character, free of charge.”
Good luck in your venture for a suitable guild!
Hello PrimeEvil, I’m sure I’ve seen you in-game several times… Or someone sharing the same name but different numbers at the end
MA is a European international community, with members from all over Europe, & small numbers stretching to area’s outside. We’re small & close knit, averaging between 60-70 members with an age cap of 20+. Our style & philosophy has kept us together as a community for almost 8 years now, boasting a long-term commitment from many in the guild.
Events in the guild are arranged by a player dedicated for each area of the game (Dungeons/SPvP/WvW) respectively, & keep the ball rolling for each area of play. All of which is organized through the events planner on our website for easy & convenient set up.
We are looking for members who want to make a difference & get involved in the community. Everyone is a personality, & that’s what we want out of our members! We aren’t a LFG (Looking For Group) guild, we’re a LFC (Looking For Community) guild

P.S.
In regards to your issue with the sound/music, the game does still have some bugs here & there (especially with the audio & balancing). I’ve noticed recently that I’m going for long periods of time without any music at all in other zones. Checking the audio section of the forums, you’ll see there’s LOADS of stuff that isn’t fixed yet

Hello Rakanoth, MA is hosted on Far Shiverpeaks, the ‘unofficial’ Scandinavian server for Guild Wars 2. Although the standard language used is English for wider communication, you’ll likely find many in the community that also speak Swedish.

Aha, fair point there logykphlo! I’ve always been under the impression that if the OP deleted their post the thread should disappear with it. Thanks for clearing it up
Shows how many recruiters copy+paste without actually reading the original post. But yeah the topic for this thread is very misleading.
Hello PrimeEvil, if you’re looking for guilds on the Far Shiverpeaks server that are recruiting then I highly recommend you visit our website @ www.farshiverpeaks.com
You’ll likely have much more success searching for a guild to call home on there for the Far Shiverpeaks Server

Put trigger-able AoE everywhere :P Necromancers are able to lay down marks with their staff, & Rangers are able to lay down traps.
I agree with this entirely, I’d love to be able to command just my Guild without worrying about stepping on the toes of another commander, or pugs chasing after me.
I hope FSP have the coverage they do over the week as they have over this weekend, because i can tell you now a lot changes in the week for AG and a lot of guilds become much more active!
Good to hear, we’re a lot more active during the weekdays too. Should keep this match-up interesting from beginning til end
Hello again Aurora!
Really enjoyed tonight, Aurora were really out in force tonight. Tried getting a foothold in Gandara borderlands tonight for FSP, but Aurora kept blocking our breakout whilst taking Gandara’s borderland.
FSP has a better night force than it used to, has really made an impact in recent weeks. But AG are as formidable & organized as ever
I’m looking forward to what you guys can teach us this week!
Been wearing that HoM mask on my warrior for a while now…
Also, I agree with taomang about new items for the GW2 players in HoM. But this is something we wouldn’t see until after an expansion or something if they decided to add it.
Was fun holding back some FS from brair on GH borderland, withme being from AG.
A real shame that that team had to resort to getting their ranger to glitch their pets onto the wall to attack me whilst I was on an arrow cart; which of course didnt work.
A greater shame that when they came back with more people and using their breakout, the same ranger resorted to glitching his pets again!
This isn’t a glitch, it’s actually a trait that rangers can grant themselves which allows their pets to climb vertical surfaces
I think ENT, GUM & MA from FSP worked really well together last night, & we had some great communication & dedication. Really enjoyed ourselves playing as a team between the 3 of our Guilds & we’ve all agreed we want to do it again in the near future.
Aurora really put a pin in our foot last night, but really enjoyed the fights we had going! Good luck to both Aurora Glade & Gunnar’s Hold, enjoyed everything so far
Not all communities require a website &/or forums. My guild started out with no forums or website for the first year & we got on fine for the most part. We’ve now reached our 7th Birthday
You also didn’t state which Server you’re currently on
Seems like transfers are serious business. Why don’t you just play in same server whole time?
There are a variety of reasons that users/guilds may change to other Servers. In the event of these advertisements that you can see above, servers are looking to invite more guilds to their server for the sake of WvW. If you get a guild that wants to do a lot of WvW, but the servers populace offers very little community on the WvW side of things. It would make sense for them to consider moving to a server that does have an active WvW community.
It also isn’t uncommon for high tier guilds to move to lower tier servers, & lower tier guilds moving to high tier servers for a change in style of WvW play. So servers will advertise themselves in hopes of routing some of these transferring guilds their way to help their server perform better.
With any luck, this feature will be added in the future. I played GW1 a couple of months after release, & the weapon swap feature wasn’t added until later. Same with the builds that you are now able to save in GW1.
Will save myself a lot of gripes if they add armor swapping & the ability to save our build+trait setups
But if Anet did start using some of the idea’s that WoW has implemented, you’ll get the community chanting that GW2 is another WoW clone. It’s a case of not being able to please everybody
Name of Server:
Far Shiverpeaks
Current position in ranking/tier:
T7
Information about alliance:
Our server alliance, The Northern Assembly, is a host of Guilds coming together for a common cause. However, our alliance extends to the entire server & not just those within TNA. We help rally the population of our Far Shiverpeaks brethren into a co-operative force. With weekly Server meetings, monthly alliance meetings, & regularly held events by everyone inbetween. We also have a Commanders guild on-top of this to assure fast & efficient communication between them.
Guilds on server:
RL, eMoa, TG, GoT, DIE, lion, DW, VMGR, WoTU, AoA, TLDR, BloS, GUM, ENT, OED, MA, SGW, aFGM, RoP, RtR, TC. There are many many more guilds than I am able to list, but these are just a few that use the Servers forums.
Which time frame need more players:
During prime-time, we have short queue’s in at least 2-3 of of our borderlands (5-10 minutes). So are generally open to Guilds from all time-zones to help us fill in the remaining gaps. Our base time-zone is CET.
Goal as server in future:
- Come together to create a common WvW-destiny.
- Create common overall goals in WvW.
- Work together towards these goals with whatever force necessary.
- Agree on a common platform to communicate and plan WvW, even on top of what communication tools the GW2 game offers if necessary.
- Agree on coordinated moves and tactics and practice these together.

Additional information’s:
The little engine that could. When you think you can and know you can, you can!
The past 13 weeks have been a rough ride for us here on Far Shiverpeaks. It started with our beloved Russian mob leaving us for greener pastures. Following them were a few other guilds, and a few more, and then a few more. But not everyone ended up leaving Far Shiverpeaks for another server. Some of us stayed behind.
Those who left told us WvW was dead, they told us we’d never go anywhere. I knew we could, we knew we could. Not only that we could, but that we would.
“You are in Tier 7? you might say. Yes we are, and kitten proud of it. For the past 6 weeks we’ve had a weekly meeting discussing our strengths and our differences. For the past 6 weeks we have stabilized. For the past 6 weeks we have showed ourselves that we can do it.
Together we figured out how we can gel together. The gelling process is still ongoing and we are not planning to stop fighting any time soon.
In a few days paid transfers are coming, before then you have to know if you’re staying or going. We do not even know yet what the big WvW patch brings; What we do know is that the Far Shiverpeakians are a strong breed, and we welcome you to join us.
(edited by Baamoink.4281)
I would also like to extend an invite out to the Guild Wars 2 Community as a whole. We’ve been here since the start & have never left the Server, & I’m glad we never did! We have had the opportunity of building one of the most solid communities I’ve seen on a Server in an MMORPG.
We have many great guilds that have come together with the same passion, & commitment. It would be inspiring to see more communities within Guild Wars 2 to collaborate with us before Guesting & Paid-Transfers are implemented. A decision I can assure you will never regret
More profit for Anet then
I feel that starting with free transfers would have been fine for the first 2 weeks of release, then switching to paid transfers.
Hell, I think giving new players the option to switch to other servers for free during the first week of their purchase is also a good idea, so that they have time to explore Servers & find one that suits them.
How people can be whining that they are now implementing paid transfers, is beyond me. Unless you’re a server hopping guild, in which case I’m glad this upsets you.
I’m currently in a T7 Server, which should soon be going up to T6. We were once in T1 for a while at the very beginning of GW2, but as soon as the zergfests starting hitting in (Our server was also guilty of it to a degree at the time), the whole experience was ruined.
Now we’re in T7, I really enjoy WvW with my Guild, the choices we make as a Guild have a real impact in WvW . Something we cannot achieve in the high tier Servers.

We consist of a mature & level headed player-base who have similar goals within the Guild Wars 2 Universe. We originally formed in Guild Wars 1 in 2005 & have been playing underneath our MA tag ever since, the majority of our current members joined us in 2006, & we have remained a solid community since. The misspelling is done purposefully with Assasins (Should be Assassins), this came down to a typo 7 years ago when we originally formed. We set up a community poll prior to the release of GW2 to see if the Guild wanted to mend the typo.
Although don’t get the wrong idea, we’re very good working together as a community, but without the tension of being criticized if you or we muck up
Recruitment:-
We do not recruit heavily, allowing time for new members to settle in & get to know the members before we recruit more. This also benefits those who are already in the guild as it gives us the time we need to get to know our new members well before bringing in any new faces & getting to know them. This system has served us well, giving everyone a chance to know everyone.
To make an application, simply head over to the “Apply Here” section of our website to get started! Applications are handled by the Officers & Leader of the Guild.
Requirements:-
- Players of the Guild Wars 2 Community to preferably be aged 20+
- Players of our Guild are to represent us at all times*
- *Exceptions can be made given good reason, such as if you have a guild just for your irl friends, guild for bank storage & SPvP Team guilds.
- Players are to register on our website & make an application when looking to be recruited.
- All new recruits have a sit down & chat session with an Officer or the Leader of the Guild so we can get a character reference.
- It is preferable that our members have TeamSpeak3 installed & are willing to use it.
