We are doing what we can today to put together something better than just a guild for people who want to play. Android has a guild where some of the best players are there to help coach some of the newer players we will be merging Practice Squad with the GW2Esports reddit guild, and Academy of the Mists will be setting up some stuff through their website to further help the member of the GW2 Esports Reddit Practice Squad.
So another problem with recent design changes:
You cannot prevent other ppl from seeing your complete build.
I hope it is quite obvious why ability of others to see your build decisions should be your personal decision and why you should be able to disable them from doing so.
So this shuts off hotjoins for players who do not want others to see their build….cool.
Just join a no-spectator arena. Otherwise stop your whining. You don’t need 3 posts to prove you haven’t played in months and so can’t see how great the changes are.
What? How? (Maybe I interpreted it too strict and you just meant something like ‘you should be using the mouse to turn you camera, hence aiding in movement’?)
I move when I press both buttons down, so I press both buttons and my guy moves than I swing the camera while moving. I only use the wsad keys to move when I need to be precise.

Wow, the sheer amount of volume in signups is incredible. There are some slight adjustments that will need to be made. We will be working closely with the Academy of the Mists and Android of gw2esports Guild to get everything put together.
Ah, well now you both made my point and created a new one of your own:
Having a mouse like the razer naga means exactly what I said: you can relieve the hand you are moving with by shifting some of the workload to your other hand. That makes you more mobile. If you had to hotkey all razer bottons to your keyboard instead, you wouldn’t be able to move around so much.
Flow – I used to use my keyboard 90 percent of the time before the Naga. There are only 10 buttons to keybind so you can still use only the keyboard. Map the abilities to different keys you can easily access. 1-4 than shift 1-4 and you should be using the mouse to move so clicking is a bit of a disadvantage when it comes to active aggressive tactics.
You are definitely one of the better clickers. It just makes us go man he shouldn’t be clicking he is too good to click! Granted the first few weeks after stopping clicking are going to be painful, but in the end it’s so much easier.
Hello all, I have put together a short survey in the hopes to gain some insight into the community’s perspective on the Warrior.
While This survey is primarily catered towards people who play the Warrior Profession, I still welcome feedback from others that have tried the class briefly or how they view Warriors from ‘the other side’.

Your questions are way too broad and open so I don’t feel I can answer any of them. Plus I couldn’t multi-click on which class has an advantage over a warrior, and there was no None option for which class the warrior has an advantage over.
While their were no necros in the most recent tournament or on many of the top teams, they are closer to being represented in tournaments than warriors (unless you are hman)
I am setting up a TS3 server for the Academy as well so we’ll have even more TS3 space to coordinate things. Also, I bought the domain gw2mists.com. I am designing some key features that we could use as tpvpers for grouping/tournies. If you have anything that you’d particularly want, let me know. First inititiave is creating a simple public chat system for people to talk in as opposed to going to threads 24/7 and whispering.

guardian01In this week’s exciting Consecrated podcast, Clik from IDL joins Danto and Professor Beard. Clik is one of the best tPvP EU guardians. He talks about his weapon choices and why he doesn’t run hammer. Clik also talks about how he thinks guardians are headed toward a more support role and might not be running dedicated bunker builds in the future. He also shares some of his teams strategies on each of the maps. If you are into pvp you don’t wanna miss this episode.
Professor Beard here. We are trying to lock down some wvwvw and pve guys for the next few weeks. Have no fear. We wanted to do tPvP guys for the first few weeks because Anet was/is pushing the esport side of the game so we wanted to have people on who can help any new people looking to get into the competitive side.

Count me in. If you don’t remember me I was in the first SOAC all necro tPvP team. I was already trying to get folks involved in a similar project (see the Academy of the Mists posts). There are a fair number of people engaged in AotM that would likely have interest. I will talk it up and try to get some kind of collaboration going. Might make sense to merge the efforts at some point. More people doing this can’t hurt.

Level of Desire: Do not have sufficient time resource to make a “Pro” team, but I love the competition and don’t mind helping newer players learn. I just want to play at the highest level I can with like-minded players.

Also, if you don’t already have a VOIP server, then consider using the Academy of the Mists channel on C3. I know a lot of people will have to DL the C3, but it is free, and for a collection of players like this it is nice, because you can have a lobby area and anyone can create subchannels for their specific team to eliminate cross-talk during matches. It is a reasonably lite program with all the basic functionality that you could need, and the price is right.
I am all for working together. I will send you a pm. Android, you, and I need to get together and see if we can merge everything!

I had misunderstood our conversation earlier. I will give you the names of the people who are in Practice Squad, and you can invite them into gw2esports. I thought you were doing something else. This is much easier on me too!
We had a few good scrims, and some really bad scrims. We learned a lot in the first matches. On the positive end, they learned that there are certain playstyles that don’t work in tournaments, and others that will work. In the future we will try to have teams coached during scrims, and put in 5-10 games on team queueing before a scrim.
We also learned Bas is one awful shoutcaster! haha
I already see the makings of two very good practice squad compositions. I am lining up some scrims for tonight.

I am pondering if we should just start a Practice Squad Guild [LFG] and put teams together on that group based on available practice times than set them up to scrim with teams then if they want to play together they can form their own guild and we continue from there!

Dred, I have only watched one Necro in my lifetime and gone holy cow, how did he do that? Yet I saw him lost to a Ranger/Mesmer duo without really even having a shot. There was no way to get away, and no way to stop the pain.

Nice sign ups so far. I see a couple of EU and a few NA. I am going to try and message the guys in game who have contacted me about finding a team and get them to join up.
It kind of seems like the guild will be a pool of fodder for real teams to practice against from the description you gave. Regardless, seems fun, why not.
A great way to get experience fighting is to get punched in the face repeatedly until you figure out how to block.
Obviously random groups thrown together wouldn’t have a competitive chance against actual real teams, but getting a group together should be a good opportunity for people. Plus it will give you a guild-full of teams that you can scrim against that aren’t going to totally kick your butt :P

Unfortunately, they will be fodder, but after watching SOAC Gaming play horribly in it’s first two matches against AIM, and then after an hour or two really start to get clicking. I realized that players who have done nothing but solo queue for three months have a really tough time getting back into group dynamics.
SOACGaming had a trial by fire, and it was rough for a few games. One of the big advantages to this is you can actively recruit your own team. Teams that are looking for players can go through the list here and pick a player if they have seen him, and now have a way to scan the list for a player they want to pm.
Plus once a player joins a new team he can simply edit his post and say Currently on [Insert Team Name]
Also if you have 3 guys that you are currently playing with, but haven’t figured out what to do for the last two . Join LFG and find a couple guys in your practice time and get out there scrim a few games and see if they mesh!
