Can you chat next time about different options for Guardians.
So far we’ve basically heard 3 people talk about standing on a point using different bunker builds.Danto – Bunker

Lily – BunkerBunker Guardian is a very boring position to play and watch.
It would be nice to hear people’s thoughts on different builds and options for Guardians as support with damage and DPS.
Either adding straight into most team comps or how a team can work around it.What you think would help a Guardian that wants to do something different to the generic bunker role, whether it would mean trait or weapon changes or game-play changes – in tPvP.
It seems that in WvW and PvE the Guardian has a lot more flexibility and better options to build for useful DPS and necessary survivability as a melee based profession as you can build with better stat combinations there. (Power, Toughness Precision).
So hearing thoughts about the lack of ability to build like this in tPvP would be nice.
Silven actually spent a nice portion talking about damage guardians. Check out the Event tonight the all guardian team is captained by Silven so we will see some damage guardians!
id do it …but 8 thieves vs 8 thieves? (if im understanding right) is just a matchup of which team can best utilized black powder shot. :/

It’s 5 thieves versus 5 elementalists in the first round.
Three point method to learning about the Necromancer (to become great is a lot longer haha).
1). Check out CHIPS Encyclopedia of Necro Abilities
2). Check out Nesmesis Youtube Guides
3). Check out all the awesome But of Corpse Podcasts and runs put on by sittingonacouch.com
4). Keep asking questions, the Necros have become crazy with knowledge sharing :P.

Every team is guaranteed at least 2 Rounds. Your bracketed game and then a consolation game with the other team that lost.
I think you are overthinking things :P. It’s not like you are dealing with top team elementalists.

I think a lot of us are holding back on this, Bas. I know I am because I know how Necromancers work. Any condition I throw at them they can either throw right back at me or convert to boons. And considering pretty much every Ranger weapon has conditions on them…yeah, they’re our natural counter class.

Corrupt boon, there goes your Fury, Might, Protection, Swiftness, and Stability, and here comes a ton of conditions
Well of Power, you’re now giving them boons everytime you hit them with a Condition while they’re in it.
Signet of Spite, here comes bleed, blind, cripple, poison, vulnerability, and weakness your way.
Lich Form, here comes a ton of pain your way.
Consume Conditions, the conditions you gave them just healed them.
And those are off the top of my head.
1) You completely misunderstand how wells work.
2). No one runs signet of spite it’s bad.
3) If someone uses that many long casts on you without an interrupt it’s a l2 kitten ue.
that is correct so in this case there are two arenas we will be using with simultaneous streams on the tournament with two shoutcasters or announcers doing play by play. So if you have friends who want to watch you play, you would send them to the stream where your team is playing.

Shoutcasters: We are going to ask that no one stream the event to help push viewers to the two shoutcasting streams. You can record and upload it afterward, but if we want to grow the shoutcasting community we need to help them out.

Okay so two big notes of news. We are asking people not to stream the events to help push people to the shoutcasters to give them a chance at practice. You can record it and put it up on youtube later.
Secondly we are going to be grabbing some of the top tournament guys to lend their name to the teams and coach (not play) the players, to talk strategy, specs, and general coaching.
A new post is coming soon that will state more as to why!
Out of curiosity… What is a Shoutcaster?
Essentially they act as an announcer for the event like on sports television.

Funny, I was just theory crafting for Thief today.
To be honest, my prediction for this tournament, is that it is between Necromancer, and Ranger. I’ve fought in all-class teams, and few have the capability of standing on their own.
They are in the same bracket. It might happen for semifinals :P. Only problem is the Engineers have a full team and started practice the Rangers are two man down.
The Warriors are working with their coach already, and discussing builds, and I believe will be practicing. The necros have done this before, but don’t think they have practiced yet!
I have a feeling that some teams will surprise us because they will be organized and ready to go, while other teams will try to wing it.
We need two more rangers now, Come on you guys it’s going to be a blast!

I was speaking with Supcutie about this and it seems that you would prefer higher ranked players to coach, and lower ranked players to play. Since I am relatively highly ranked (~20th on boards) would you prefer me to withdraw from playing and act as a coach/guide instead? It looks like we’ve had some additional signups, and I’d rather not deprive anyone a slot who is interested in playing. Thoughts?

If you are wanting the actual players to be less experienced to encourage newer players into a tourney scene, it might be better if I coached instead. I don’t mind either way though. We can chat later in game if needed.
