That’s like 30 hours! How big is that file you’re trying to upload? Not that uploading usually is especially fast, but that is a bit extreme.

Talking about uploading, could you post your footage on SOAC gaming’s rapidshare so I can use it on the all POV video? Since it isn’t my account I can’t really give you the passwords directly, but I’m sure Bas or Flow (or someone else?) would love to send them over

Hello everyone!
I would like to present you with the latest work from ATTK! This week we recieve Eurantien, a NA Tpvp experienced Ranger on our show, setting the perfect scenario for Battosai to finally get the chance to chase down his favorite subject: TPVP. The long awaited topic is finally upon us.
So, why not simply unleash Battosai and Eurantien on you, dear listeners, as they furiously compare notes about the current state of the Ranger in the meta game?
I thought it was a pretty good ideia myself, thank you.
And yet, the plot thickens… The Spirit Ranger lives! And by the looks of it, he might actually stand his own ground, renewing faith in a more team supportive build for the profession. The cast takes a rundown of how they see the Ranger and some of his main assets, touching base on several points of interest (i.e. good team compositions for the ranger, role/map/strategy analysis per build, survivability tips, and even some general pvp need to know basics).

In this weeks Necromancer Podcast, your But of Corpse team talk with Dredlord about the Necromancer in WvWvW. Throughout the podcast Dredlord and Bas continue to bring up several Minion related instances, and by the end of the podcast Dredlord challenges Bas and Bhawb on their Minion knowledge and defenses. Dredlord was a great guest who exhibited a fantastic knowledge on the class, and disproved the running theory that he is in reality a giant troll.

Thanks for your input, that is apreciated. We wanted to start on a really light basis, so has to possibly draw in the attention of newer players to the Ranger. We will strive to delve more and more into every detail of the profession, however. I do apologise for the technical issues thought. We will be working on it, so I do believe we can clear that issue from this point onward. As you said, we got it out there. Now we can start building on top of it.

:D I’m thankful for your support. And yes we will start focusing on builds/playstyles/strategies/pet utility/utilities/pet families/dungeon crawling/spvp/tpvp/WvW and even solo play tips here and there.
If possible, we want to even be able to touch on the diversity of thought processes between NA and EU, so that both sides can draw from eachother.
Bare with us as we try to create a foundation on which new players can draw from.

I also think that as we get more and more guests on, there simply will be no way we can avoid discussing builds and playstyle. I just didn’t want to jump immediatly into the thick of it.

SOACGaming has access to a custom arena, and if I am notified ahead of time that the all-mesmer’s want to do some testing or running 5 on 5 mesmers for practice. Let Kylia, Pyro, or myself know, and we will setup the arena for you.

I am not sure why you guys complain about this. What you have with Spirit pets is the same thing Necro’s have with Minions, Elementalist have with elementals, and Guardians have with Spirit Weapons.

You can put them on your bar without traiting for them, but then they are significantly less effective. That’s the way it should be, and it’s the way every other “pet” style utility works. It’s so they aren’t always taken unless traited.

Traited they become effective, untraited they are very ineffective.

As for the guy who thinks they should be invulnerable. Seriously, that would be one of the worst ideas I have ever heard.

This perception that pet type utilities should be treated like actual pets is incorrect. If they were buffed to the degree you want them to be, they would be mandatory. This same argument is being made ad nauseum in the Necro forums regarding Minions. Spirit pets are utilities designed around the fact that they will go down, and they will die, and there will be fights they are ineffective.

This is a good change they made. Do they still need a bit of work? Yes. Are they worthless until you can use them without traiting? Absolutely not, and any argument in that direction is flawed severely, by a lack of critical thinking.
