Guild Wars 2

Not giving the new players the specilizations seems like a bad idea. Won’t this result in balancing issues?

Some of my guildies are thinking of buying HoT when it gets a kitteneaper. Now i was wondering, how will this affect my gameplay with them? Is there any idea yet of what features will come to the game for people who don’t buy the Expac, compared to those who do? Will they be able to access our guildhall, do they get speciliazations, do they get the mastery system?

Hello guys, i’ve played guardian for quite a while in pvp. I normally play the Guardian AH-bunker as i dont like to be squishy in pvp like the medibuild. Although i find AH bunker very enjoyable with guildies, its kinda boring to play on your own with pugs. So now im looking for a build for guardian with decent dmg and good surv. Maybe sth with a hammer and cele or soldier amulet or so. I want to be able to surv in teamfights for a while and be able to stomp and stuff without doing 0 dmg like an AH bunker.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Im on EU btw, so i dunno if theyre’s any special guild there?

Hey guys, when Triple Trouble was launched i was taking a break from GW2. Even after i came back, i waited a while. The result: i’ve never finished the event and only once gotten close. It’s hard to find a server where it’s even vaguely organised. Sometimes i find a full server with 3 Comms but without TS we fail nonetheless.

1 time i got rly rly close with organisation by a guild called TKKG (thx to thsoe guys, that was an awesome run) but the timing got kinda messed up and we failed.
So my question is, can anyone point me to a guild i can join (one where i wouldnt have to rep) or a forum i can check for more of those fully organised runs with TS? i rly wanna finish the event at least once and i don’t see it happening without organisation.

I adore this update. The story is excellent and full of great lore. And then that map, just magnificent. I love WvW and PvE so this is just spot on for me. I really hope they rework Orr to be like this, to feel like all out war. Maybe even the Harathi Hinterlands or so. The events tehre aren’t bad but sth like this would rly instigate me to going back there.

Hello everyone,

I’ve been playing for necro quite a while now, especially in PvP and WvW. I really love the class, think it’s one of the coolest out there. However i’ve only really ever played condinecro. Although i found it quite satisfactory in WvW zerging, i feel like it could be a lot better. That’s why i really want to try a Powerbuild for zerging.

There are some things i think i reaaly want/need
-Wells (seems obvious)
-good to very good dmg
- i think i want 30 in soul reaping for either the prec in DS or the stab in DS (not sure which one is best) but if ppl have better ideas i can drop the 30 there.

So yeah, any ideas would be welcome here.

Hi, for quite a while now my keyboard keeps jamming. This comes and goes very randomly but it is really annoying. It only seems to happen when i play Guild Wars 2. Sometimes i can’t type properly but running still goes ok, sometimes it’s the other way around.

Anyone has any idea what may be causing this?

You can not seriously say Necro is OP and war not

Every class should have some strong points, but warriors have all of them.

They have perma-stability so i cant counter em with fear.
The regeneration from that signet can be rly high
Very high healthpool
Acces to a lot of stuns
High dmg with hammer, axe, GS,….
EVen high condi dmg with that longbow kitten
Insanely powerful skills such as berserker’s stance and Endure pain

I’m not changing my build that i love and works fine vs all other classes just to deal with those silly OP warriors

I myself play as a condi necro and warriors are just impossible to win from.

They have like 3-4 stuns, perma stability ( this means i cant fear em and never counter the insane burst they do), they have i condi removal (Berserker’s stance is just silly). Even when i do condi dmg the rgeneration from that sigil is rly high, combined with that very high healthpoool, i just cant get them down, ever.

Even with other classes i struggle immensely and when we fight 2-3 of them in a tournament its unbeatable. When there are 3 of them together at mid, noone can kill them.

Pls Anet nerf this class

My build is not that good vs thieves. I just dont do enough dmg to counter all that stealth, unless the thief is played badly or is very squishy.

However it is amazing in WvW duelling. I win a lot of 2v1s and also quite often a 3v1. The surv is amazing and you just have to focus 1 guy and take him down.

Faux, do you think its useful to trade in 2 or 3 clerics trikets for some soldier ones? Like the backpiece and the 2 rings or a ring and an accessory?

I’m leaning towards a BM regen build and it’s looking very nice.

@Sreoom, maybe you should try to implement some more surv. Even if i get hit by a backstab i have 4 or 5 evades rdy to stop them from pulling a 2nd one and enough healing to undo the dmg done. I admit vs less squishy thieves i do have an issue of finalizing the kill but i have the upperhand in the fight.

i myself dont have that many issues with them. Ofc they are a tough class. I have more problem killing them than staying alive, im usually on the winning hand but dont have that much dmg so thieves that rly use stealth a lot just keep circling me and noone wins the fight. I use SB+Sword/Warhorn. I have a lot of evades and very high healing so they dont burst me down so quickly.

My favourite part in GW2 with my Ranger is WvW roaming. I used to use a trap condibuild with a full rabid set which was nice but didn’t give me enough survivability. So now i use a BM build with cleric’s armor and weapons with the rabid trinkets but i want even more surv. So now my question, what gear should i use?

Full clerics, full apothecary or a mix of the 2?

i spent so much time and gold on it, its ridiculous i have to make another ascended or so for alternative builds.

I made myself a Sunrise a couple of months ago and i am soooo happy with it, truly an amazing weapon. So i try to use my Sunrise in every build/way i can. When Arenanet announced statswapping i was over the moon, this would be awesome because i could use my Sunrise all the time. However this sort of doesn’t matter when i can’t change my sigil.

My example: Atm i use a zerg tank for WvW large group play and i use sigil of Strength, this gives me a lot of extra healing through might giving to other players and might to myself. The sigil is really important for me. However, i roam on my guard aswell but i dont count on crits (have 4%) sigil of strength is absolutely useless, sigil of Energy however i find amazing. This means that i had to buy a 2nd exotic GS and use that which is rly stupid because i spent 1500g on my Sunrise and now i can’t play with it a lot of the time.

My solution: I should be able to go to the TP and buy a sigil. Then i can add it to my “collection” and in LA i can swap between them. I still pay for my sigil but i can pla ywith my Sunrise all the time, perfect solution if you ask me.

This is ridiculous. I mean on the karka vid he dodges out of fire and the karka just changes his projectory to hit him. I’m sorry but then stealth just has no sense

I need some help. In the guild we bought our own PvP-arena and we decided to hold a tournament.
I myself play as a Trap/Condi-ranger. Specced 0/30/30/10/0 and use SB and sword/axe. I’ve won 2 times alrdy vs a thief and a necro.
But now in the semifinals im facing our guilds best man.
A Mesmer that’s specced 0/30/0/30/10. He uses sword/pistol and sword/sword. He relies heavy on phantasms.
The last 2 times i fought him i got absolutely obliterated. So now i need a different build to have a chance.

Any ideas on this?

no i hated WoW for the monthly fee. ’ma buy and play guy. I get annoyed by all the extra costs

I rly need some extra bankslots and i decided to look how much it would cost me. I was pretty shocked when i saw the price has gone up to 21g for 1 slot. They’re are 7 slots so thats like 140g. Rly Anet? This is way to much. Im happy to pay like 50g in total but this is just to much.

Prices going up wont make me buy gems with real money cause im principally against it. I think it’s week and ruines the game. Keep the gemprices the same so you ppl dont lose money but lower the insane gold needed to get 100 gems.

I rly love some of the ideas. Especially the 20 man dungeon runs would be epic.

How many Commanders do you have in guild?

Next to the weapon strength of Incinerator and Bolt it says (fire) and (lightning). What does this mean exactly?

I have just crafted Sunrise ankittenotally loving it. It’s awesome and beautiful. However i have some remarks about the Legendary greatswords Sunrise and Twilight:

1) Pls make Sunrise/Twilight count for the medal on the log-inscreen. They are maybe the hardest Legends to craft because of mats and very expensive precursor so they should absolutely count.

2) When you play from the angle you usually play with(about 45 degrees) Sunrise and Twilight lose some of their charm. Sunrise is most beautiful with it’s blue sky and yellow sun and Twilight is coolest when the black and red mix. However from the angle you play with Sunrise has a brownish color and Twilight is full black. This makes them a lot less cool than when im standing around and zooming on them. Maybe you could change this so they appear cooler in battle. The brown is cool but id rather see the blue sky in my Sunrise.

I’m both amazingly lucky but also a bit unlucky. After only 30g of rare Greatswords in Mystic Forge i got Dawn. Pretty awesome so far, but i rly want to craft Twilight so i need Dusk. Anyone out there that wants to trade their Dusk for my Dawn? Btw I play on a European server. Answer on this thread and ill give you my Char name to trade.
